I had a great experience with Agape Pet Services. They were caring from the first moment. Even now, after 6 months when I called them back to tell them that my necklace had malfunctioned, they were professional, helpful, and caring. Tina took great care of me and assured me they would fix everything. She was super accommodating and caring. Thank you so much for all the help, understanding of what I went through, and being so helpful.Even though I had a little malfunction with my pedant everything I ordered looked amazing and they handled my pup with great care.

AGAPE IS AMAZING!!! Tina, was WONDERFUL. She not only gave me my baby back but the ceramic paw print in a case where i can place her picture was TOP NOTCH! I found out that they handled my baby Qutie mom as well. This company make my heart smile. I look at my baby and smile. Thank you again, this company is one of the best along with the people that work in it. If I could give you a million stars I would. Thank you again my family and I are so grateful.

This was my first experience with a pet loss, and the ladies were so super sweet and comforting! My sweet girl passed away on a Friday and by Thursday, everything was ready for pick-up. Everything is absolutely beautiful. Definitely recommend!

After losing our sweet lab, Harley on May 1st, we had her cremated by Agape Pet Services. They did a great job on her urn, paw print, and nose print. They were very caring and thoughtful when she was delivered to us. Thank you for taking care of our baby girl.

My senior rescue cat, Toby, died suddenly about a week ago and Agape gave me a beautiful urn, prints, and clay imprints to remember him by. Iβll always miss Toby because of how incredibly special he was, but I am grateful that he is home. Because of Agapeβs professionalism, I know he was cared for and given the utmost respect in his death. All items and letters were in a velvet bag, and I appreciated the touch. Thanks to Agapeβs services, I can continue to mourn Toby in peace. β€οΈ

This is my second time coming to Agape Boonsboro location. Both of my dogs, Aggie, 16 and Toki, 19 were cremated here. I would not use any other company other than Agape and highly recommend it to everyone. The staff members are sensitive, kind and caring as they have pets of their own. When my dog Aggie died 2 years ago, she was blind, diabetic and had Freestyle Libre on her back. We had to use skin-tac so they would stay on. When I saw Aggie again during the private viewing at their facility, Aggie looked as though she never had Freestyle. Agape staff went above and beyond to make sure we can remember her as who she was, not just as a diabetic pup. Agape allowed us to bring her surviving sister Toki to visit with Aggie. Toki was looking for her, as they have never been apart, so seeing Aggie gave her closure too.Toki was 19 years old when she passed on my birthday this past week. I made sure Agape was the company that would arrange her cremation. Agape again did a beautiful job making sure Toki looked like a peaceful, sleeping pup for our viewing. We asked the vetβs office to keep her in her favorite blanket and at the viewing Toki was gently wrapped in it and she was cremated with it. I ordered nose print and hair clippings and my dog had short, wiry hair. They magically managed to put it together with a bow on it.I feel terrible for folks who had a bad experience here. I did not but I understand how emotional this entire process is. Here are some things Iβve done. Hopefully this helps other pet parents.1. Call Agape to confirm the arrangements. I cannot stress this enough. At the vetβs office, I was swimming in emotions. I had no idea what I chose. Just checking in with Agape may help prevent issues. Check your contact info, insignia for the urn, etc. (E.g., I mistyped my dogβs birthday twice for the urnβ¦)2. Timing of your call: If your vet uses their service, Agape will come and take your petβs remains on certain days of the week. Your vet knows the schedule. You can call in the afternoon of the day when your pet would be picked up to make sure your pet arrived and confirm details of the arrangements.3. If you can, I recommend going to Agapeβs website. They have some really beautiful urns, cremation jewelry, etc. Your vetβs office may already have a set price arrangements so these may be extra. My vetβs office did not have Serenity Urn as an option, but this one you can put your petβs photo in the front. I asked for this specifically when I called.4. With extra charge, Agape offers private viewing service on certain days of the week. I did this for both of my dogs. They even allow you to bring your surviving dog so everyone can have that closure. You need to arrive by 9am and cremation begins 10am and you can take your petβs urn with ashes with you the same day. They give you a private room to spend time with your pet. I appreciated how beautiful my dogs looked both times. You can also choose to view the cremation through a window. They are very sensitive throughout the process. Your pet will be treated with respect.5. While you wait for your petβs remains, you can visit Boonsboro or Shepherdstown. Stone Werks Coffee & Blue Moon Cafe both have outdoor seating and are dog-friendly locations.I cannot speak highly enough about Agape and their wonderful staff. They have made for memorable experience and lifelong afterlife for both of my pet dogs on both occasions I have used their services. I truly love their services and will cherish my petsβ memories because of Agape.

We are livid. We sent our cat of 13 years here to memorialize him. Problem number 1: they spelled his name wrong on the nameplate on the urn. Problem number 2: they completely missed the second paw print we ordered. There is no way to get that back. This is completely unacceptable and everyone who sends their beloved pets here needs to know what they are risking. They have robbed our family of the final memories of our cherished pet, and that is unforgivable.

Seriously, the worst experience working with this company. Truly devastating. The nose print and paw prints that I received must have been completed by someone blindfolded or someone who just could not care less. I still canβt believe we even had to pay for these. I made paw + nose prints of my service dog before she passed that turned out better. You can BARELY see the imprint of her paw or nose, and since it was completed AFTER passing, Iβm still confused why it was difficult to achieve such a simple ask that we PAID for. Please stay away if your pet means something to you and you want to have memorabilia that looks handled with care and compassion. This place isnβt it. And receiving these ended up being as gutting as her passing.I am trying to post a picture to show you all, but it is not providing me with that option.

This company screwed up the cremation of my dog. For the rest of my life I dont know if the ashes I was given were the exact ashes of my dog because they cannot follow directions. please I am begging you, avoid this company like grim death. the cremation of a pet, which is a family member to me, is too important to leave to a company that doesn't have procedures in place to ensure mistakes aren't made. oh and I complained and they called me and offered me a Christmas ornament to make up for their screw up. which they admitted to. no refund after they screwed up something that you cannot screw up. just said they'd make an ornament with my dog's name on it. think about that. that is the kind of company you will be dealing with. they do not care about customers and they definitely dont care about your pet. if you support them, you are supporting a disgusting company

Our Big girl was cremated at the Charlotte location. I can't say enough about the experience we had from the minute we walked in until we left. Mike was extremely sincere, caring and compassionate. The products he showed us were absolutely beautiful. The turnaround time was amazing. We received her ashes and some paw print frames within 3 days. Hopefully we will not be going back anytime soon but if we needed that again, that's where we would go. We will definitely recommend Agape to our friends and family. Thank you so much.

I just received my dogs ashes back. What a beautiful package. Blue velvet pouches. His foot print in a beautiful box and his ashes. Professional and caring place to have your animals cremated.

When our 12 year old beagle Artie passed suddenly 2 weeks ago our vet took care of the cremation arrangements for us. Agape did a wonderful job, we received his ashes, a certificate and a paw print back in one week. The quality of the urn, the velvet bag and the paw print were much better than I had expected. Thank you for treating our beloved friend with dignity and respect.

Our sweet boy, Bandit, gained his wings a week ago. We used Lap of Love which recommended Agape's cremation services to us. I didn't explore any other options but I am very pleased with Agape's services. I was told on October 14, 2023 that we would receive Bandit back in 10-14 days. Yesterday, I received an email from Agape that he was hand delivered to our vet. When I went to our vet's office to pick him up, expecting a standard brown UPS box, I was so surprised to see that he was placed in a gift bag, with his urn wrapped in a velvety cloth. The urn that he was placed in was hand carved and included a name plate (something I was not expecting). The urn was heavy, and the quality of the wood and the detail of the carvings was beautiful. I also received a certificate to confirm that it was Bandit I received. I read some of the other reviews before writing this and would have been a little hesitant to use Agape after seeing other's experiences. My experience with Agape was very positive, and I am impressed with the care that went in to returning our boy back to us in a thoughtful manner. I'm so sorry to hear that other people had trouble, especially during this difficult time, but I truly was very pleased and am grateful to have my pup back.

We used Agape to do a private cremation of our sweet kitty. Due to an error on our vet's end, there was a delay in her cremation and we ended up speaking with Agape at least 6-7 times over the course of 1.5 weeks to resolve the issue so our baby could be cremated and returned to us. Throughout this process and every single phone call, they were nothing but kind, helpful, understanding, and sensitive. Even my calls to double or triple check something, because it was so important to me, were met with respect and kindness. They made a very, very, very hard process easier and more comforting, and we are forever grateful.

I cannot say enough good things about the employees at this company. I recently had to put my almost 16 year old Italian Greyhound and the absolute love of my life to sleep. Our friend and vet recommended Agape to me as the service they use for cremation. They offered a private cremation and viewing which we did. They had cleaned her up and had her wrapped up in a blanket in a little bed so I and my other dog, who was bonded to her could spend an hour with her prior to the cremation. They have a private room that is so nicely set up and it honestly made it much more pleasant to say goodbye. There is a window in the room so you can see and trust when your pet is being cremated. I had such reservations because I didn't want her body to be tossed about and I really feel like Agape treated her respectfully in death. The employees there, Jasmine and Nathen, were so kind to me and so professional. These little things are so important because it is bad enough to lose an animal you love and then to have to worry how they're being handled. I had a lot of apprehension about that but I wouldn't trust another place with my pets ever again. As requested, they had divided her ashes so me and my former partner could each have an urn. Everything was delivered in a blue velvet bag and they made sure everything was perfect before we left. I would highly recommend using their services.
Allen Thomas
It's never easy using this kind of service but they make it easy and explain everything thoroughly. Allowed us to have a final moment with our beloved pet before witness cremation (a service they offer). Thoroughly make sure you are happy with your pet imprints and spelling on their urn as well as having a nice selection of urns to pick from.

Our dog passed away suddenly from a series of seizures, and the hospital treating him uses Agape. If you have a choice, please do not. They returned our precious Maximus to us not fully processed. He came back as mostly bone fragments, with little ash. There is no way we can scatter his ashes in the state they are in, and I had to literally sift through the bones of my best friend to gather a small bit of ash to have turned into a memorial ring. There truly are no words for how traumatizing this has all been. After I sent an email to the company, I received a call from their staff, apologizing AND admitting that what we received was not up to their standards and not fully processed in the second step. During this apology, which I did feel was sincere, there was no offer to partially refund our money. I did not ask, as I was literally trying not to cry during the entire call. To admit the job was not done correctly and then not automatically refund some of the money is just wrong. As was the way they returned him to us- via UPS truck. I was not offered their option for on-site pick up, so after the pain of waiting around all day- until 6:55pm- to sign for my best friend who was in the back of a truck with random online shopping orders- this is what I received. I will spare you all the photos, which I did send them. Please avoid them. The pain of losing your best friend is only compounded by this company.EDIT: I did receive a call back from a manager, who again was very sincere, and was offered and received a refund. They also offered additional mementos, and to reprocess Max but I think that would be too painful. I appreciate Andrew, and just wish this never was the case. I am hopeful no one else has the same experience.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and extreme care taken by Agape. I've worked with them both professionally and now personally and I fully recommend them for any and every part of pet aftercare. Thank you Agape for giving my family and I peace of mind knowing that our pup was handled like a human would be - probably even better! The momentos that accompany the actual remains are top notch, I can't imagine how they could be better. Having made many a clay paw imprint, I know how difficult it is and through their product I can see how meticulous they are about this process. We now have multiple beautiful ways to remember our beloved dog. If you want to know in your heart that your pet's remains are being handled respectfully and with heartfelt care, trust Agape to do so. Above and beyond, I cannot thank them enough!

I was devastated at the loss of my dog last week and was very eager to get his ashes home. The euthanasia service Lap of Love (who was great), chose Agape, I did not. I received the package today and pulled out the wooden box containing the ashes only to find the wrong name plaque on it, for some poor dog named Bruno (not my dog's name). I felt liked I'd been kicked in the gut. When I called Agape their response was basically oh you'll just have to trust us it's your dog's ashes despite what the plaque on the box says. No apology, no refund, no offer to investigate further, no offer to send a new box. I now don't know - and never will know - if these are even the ashes of my dog (which I paid 300 to have a private cremation for) and if I should even bother keeping them. I am devastated and angry and feel Agape handled this about as poorly as possible. Do not recommend,
Marjorie Lagdameo
Unfortunately, this is the company my vet uses. When my cat passed away, I paid for the cremation and a paw print. I received my bag today with just his ashes. When I called the vet and asked where the pawprint was, they told me there was some issue at the company and a paw print wasn't even done. There should have been some communication with the pet's owner. This is heart breaking.

We lost our sweet Thor after an ER visit to Mountain View Animal Emergency and they partnered with Agape Pet Services for cremation services. Thor came home yesterday and we were floored. The Serenity Urn and paw print are beautiful and blue velvet packaging was a classy touch. As painful as it was we are confident our sweet boy was handled with care until he came home to us. Well done, will most certainly use Agape Pet Services again.

I suddenly lost my dog and the ER vet clinic uses Agape. I got a private cremation. The box arrive 5 days later to my home. It was a very sturdy box with bubble wrap tightly around the velvet box. The box was beautiful and the framed ceramic paw print was lovely. I'm very pleased with their service. I requested his bed go with him. I hope they honored that request.

I have had the experience of using Agape three times, twice for my own personal horses within the past three years. Every single time, I was met with nothing but excellent customer service. This past Thanksgiving, I lost my heart horse of 26 years. Despite having to host Thanksgiving dinner at his house, Brandon was compassionate and understanding both on the phone and when he came to pick up my horse. He allowed me the time I needed to say goodbye and handled my boy gently and carefully. Each time I've used Agape's private cremation service. The ashes and plaster hoof print were returned to me in under a week. I feel the service that they offered, and the knowledge that my beloved horses were handled with dignity and care, was worth every penny. I have nothing but good things to say about this company and highly recommend them.

I want to express my gratitude for the kindness and great service Iβve received from everyone at Agape Pet Services.

I had just lost my beloved cat of thirteen years suddenly last Saturday. Agape took such wonderful care of my girl. I could tell by the way they gently cared for her by the details of the fur and whiskers to the engraved plaque with her paw print. It comforts me greatly to know that the last people to touch my baby was a company who deeply loves what they do. For the cost of everything included in the beautiful velvet pouch and the special touches it was worth every penny spent and priceless to know that she was handled with dignity and love. Thank you for making this difficult time a bit easier and giving me such special keepsakes. Thanks for all you do!

Absolutely incredible service. They exceeded all of my expectations for my rodent cremation. So thoughtful with the packaging and contents, and was carefully wrapped and quickly delivered. I would HIGHLY recommend this service as they do a phenomenal job. Thank you Agape!

Words cannot express my gratitude. I lost my dog my son a day after Christmas December 26th 2022. I was absolutely devastated. The vet that my dog goes to use this company for cremation. I called and spoke to Patty about arrangements for my dog and she was so amazing. We spoke for about an hour picking out a custom urn and she set up a viewing so I can say my final goodbye to Coco. When I got to the facility Patty was waiting for me at the door she was so welcoming. I had a private room where I had alone time with my dog. Once everything was done they gave me my dog in his custom urn, beautiful packaging. I would highly recommend this facility the people are so friendly. Patty you made my final moments with Coco so special, I am forever grateful. 100000/10 highly recommend!

Agape Pet Services provided cremation services for Mojo, my beloved bearded dragon, via my vet. I could not be more pleased with the job they did. Everything was handled smoothly in a timely manner. The prints they made of her little feet are just perfect and even look like little angel wings. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job creating this beautiful memorial for me. I will treasure it forever.

My fur baby Mylo, gained his wings a week ago. Agape (Boonsboro location) has provided more than what I can ask for with how everything was handled. The attention to detail is 10/10! The paw print ceramic, the lock of fur, the packaging...I'm speechless at how they made this sad moment so special. I thank you all so much for what you do to help grieving families have this type of closure & to know that there was dignity and care. Thank you a million times over!!!

We have used Agape Pet Services twice now for the cremation of our beloved dogs. Once, a year ago and once again last week. They are wonderfully caring yet professional at the same time. If anyone ever has need of this type service, I recommend them heartily. From the beautifully engraved urn to the clay paw print & even a sympathy card & grief literature - they really made a traumatic event a little easier to bear. I thank them very much.

We very unexpectedly had to let go of our Luna baby while at Friendship Animal Hospital - they advised they partnered with Agape for cremation services. We requested a private cremation, and a clay paw print. It's not even a week after we said goodbye, and we just received everything from Agape. They included an ink paw print, along with her ashes in a beautiful, customized wooden box in a velvet bag. Losing a baby is never easy, but to be able to have her back with us in less than a week has helped tremendously. Thank you so much to everyone at Agape for taking such care with our baby, and returning her to us so quickly. We are appreciative beyond words.

We've had an extremely difficult, negative time with the services provided by Agape through the emergency vet where we recently took and ultimately said goodbye to one of our dogs. Despite our paperwork/the invoice on file with the emergency vet being correct (we had them check) and requesting a clay paw print/impression, the one we received was an ink print. The emergency vet informed us that there was nothing that could be done to rectify it at that point, as she had already been cremated, but refunded us the $50 we paid for the impression.Upon examination of the paw print and frame we received, the quality was very poor, with a flimsy stand and an off-center/crooked name plate, and the print itself was also crooked. We decided that we would reframe it ourselves in a shadowbox with her collar, and when we went to do so we found that the entire print itself had been glued to this low-quality frame, so it can't be removed without ruining it--the only paw print we have. I'm just aghast at this decision, even if the quality was better, and they hadn't already messed up our order during a difficult time, what happened if the frame ever breaks and we needed to remove it?There's no replacing her paw print, I'm so upset at this choice being made. Now, we need to take it to a professional framing service and see if they can help us--which will be an additional upsetting and costly experience, on top of the ugly and costly shock it's been to lose our beloved girl. It's upsetting, unprofessional, and extremely subpar service during a very difficult time--especially when, as a pet parent and customer, I don't have another option--it's the service the vet contracts with.Additionally, despite the emergency vet reaching out to Agape, we haven't heard from them directly or had even the courtesy of acknowledgement.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of Agape Pet Service when my fur baby passed. John was very professional when I needed their services and was very patient while I gave him information he needed through my tears. He was very comforting. The young lady that arrived to retrieve my cat's body was also very caring/understanding. I could tell by the way she cuddled my cat even though he was deceased she cared for animals. I received my cat's remains on Christmas Eve and again the young lady that handled his remains handled my cat's remains with care.I would highly recommend Agape Pat Services of North Carolina to anyone that may one day need their services. You can rest assured that your fur baby whether its a cat/dog will be handled with nothing but love. Thank you Agape Pet Services for being there when I needed you the most.

The staff at Agape (particularly Patty and Jasmine) were very attentive and compassionate. I had several calls with them and they always called me back right away to follow up, throughout the whole process. Patty assisted in trying to resolve an issue regarding a bad experience I had at the emergency room where my dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge. A technician in the ER at Metropolitan on Rockville Pike ignored verbal and written instructions and separated my dog from her bed/blanket/stuffed animal, which I wanted my dog to be cremated with. When I discovered my dog was transported to the crematorium in a body bag *without* her things, Patty/Agape put the cremation on hold and made calls to the ER to arrange for my dog's items to be delivered to Agape before cremation. Again Metropolitan ER goofed up and set aside things that belonged to a different dog (**apparently Metropolitan ER is separating all cats/dogs from personal items their grieving families wanted cremated with them**). It took 3 days for Metropolitan ER to locate my dog's items, which I picked up myself (they handed them to me in a trash bag). I delivered the items to Agape myself. Patty and Jasmine greeted me warmly as soon as I walked in the door. Patty assured me she would personally bundle my dog in her bed, blanket with 2 small stuffed animals, and then she expedited the cremation immediately thereafter. My dog was delivered to my home a few days later. I hope anyone who reads this review will be mindful of the fact that veterinarians/animal hospitals **may or may not be carrying out your last wishes** for your pets. Please make follow up calls to the vet/ER and crematorium to make sure your pet's sentimental items really are being documented and itemized on check-in forms, or on their computer systems, and transported with your pet - so that Agape can cross-check and verify with you. I was lucky, I was able to fix my situation (with Patty's/Agape's help), but most families who do not make follow up calls and trust blindly don't realize their pets are not being kept together with any blankets, stuffed animals or beds you wish them to be cremated with. I want to thank Agape for helping me through the process, keeping me informed all along the way, and easing my grief with their patience, kindness and compassion.

I used Agape services a few years ago and I have never stopped talking about it. The care and respect shown my horse was magnificent. And when the gentleman came to our home a few days later to deliver her ashes, he came to the door. Introduced himself, and said Mrs. Dobrowolski are you ready for me to bring your horse to your home. I thought that was so caring and respectful. We would never use anyone else. I don't know why I didn't think to post this years ago.

We have used Agape for the cremation of two very beloved dogs. We trust Agape completely. Both times we drove our dogs to Agape on a weekend. The phone was answered immediately, and Dawson was there to greet us. Missy helped us schedule private cremations and answered questions about purchasing urns so we could make as many choices as possible beforehand. Caleb helped us both times when we arrived for the cremations. He is such a nice guy with so much integrity. He made the whole process go as smoothly as it could considering the circumstances. I absolutely trust Agape to care for my pet the way I most want them to, and to care for my family as well.

They treated us with such tenderness and respect, and the quality of product is so high. No one wants to say goodbye to a pet but this team makes it as smooth and as possible.

They have handled 3 of my pets cremation now. Two in Virginia and one in North Carolina. Agape is very thoughtful and kind when I called. Would only use them for my pet cremation. Thank you all so much for being so kind and personalizing my urn and lock of hair. So special.

I lost my baby girl Lady on August 17, 2021. Rocky Gorge partnered with Agape Pet services in order to handle my dogs cremation. I am extremely pleased with the paw prints that I received and the beautiful urn that my baby came in. They packaged her ashes nicely so that I was able to open them in order to put some of her ashes in a necklace and seal them back up. Thank you so much!

I received my Bella's ashes and paw print mold on Saturday. I didn't know what to expect because everything was handled at the vet's office. I was so pleased at how beautifully done and compassionately she was treated. I couldn't have asked for anything more. There was a card included that assured me that Bella was taken care of with compassion and care. I am grateful to them for how nice the engraving is and the overall process. I am glad her remains are home. Unless you've lost a beloved pet, no one can understand that deep pain. This is a very special service.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved cat of 12 years. Sheβs our whole world. We had her euthanized at home through Peaceful Passage (and theyβre great; amazing doctors, so attentive and supportive, 10/10) but unfortunately PP seems to only partner with Agape Pet Services now for cremation.Agapeβs hours make it almost impossible to retrieve your petβs remains and memorial items. Theyβre only open M-F, 8am-4pmβ¦ during most peopleβs work hours. They have 24/7 services - including removing deceased horses from properties - but apparently cremation pick up & delivery are not included. I emailed them (to 2 different email addresses) and didnβt hear back. I had to email Peaceful Passage to see if they could get in touch, which they did. When I got the phone call I told them we live 2 hours away and we couldnβt financially afford to take off work, and if there was any way there could be flexibility on pick up hours. I usually wouldnβt ask this of a business but I saw they offered 24/7 services so I thought it could be worth a shot to see if anyone could stay until like 6pm. Tina gave me an attitude and said βour hours are our hours, thatβs just what we doβ. Rudely stated but valid. After discussing it with my family we decided we would change our aftercare to hand delivery (extra $50), only to find out that delivery is also only available from 8am-4pm. Tina offered to deliver the remains to our home Friday between 12-3. I said, βthat wonβt work for us because thatβs still work hours, can I call you backβ (so I could talk to my partner). She offered to leave the remains βsomewhere safeβ on the property if we werenβt home (as if our cat is some sort of amazon package), I politely told her no. Not even 24 hours goes by until I get a voicemail saying they will be delivering the remains on Friday between 12-3pm and if that didnβt work for me, to call them back. I called back not even 20 minutes later - it went straight to voicemail. I left a frustrated message. I had no idea what to do - I just wanted my cat back. Tina called me back and passive aggressively said βIβm sorry that youβre feeling upset. We didnβt mean to upset youβ. Eye roll, but whatever. She asked me for a time that worked for me and, finally, I thought someone was helping me out. I told her after 5 and she said β5am? β and my head was spinning at this point so I firmly corrected her, 5pm. She immediately took an attitude and said βIβm just trying to work with youβ and I was kind of taken back by her tone, so I told her, βI gave you a time and you said no, how is that working with me?β She decided she was done with me and passed the phone to the manager, Andrew. He was wonderful; Apologetic, expressed his condolences, validated my frustration, and offered me a solution right off the bat that worked for both of us. My catβs remains were returned to me at my job. It wasnβt ideal but I finally had her back. Win win. While Andrew saved this review from 1 star, I really hope Peaceful Passage partners with someone else soon. Coordinating with this place is a nightmare for anyone who doesnβt live nearby.PS - Iβve worked in the retail industry and the restaurant industry, I know what a βKarenβ is. I know when someone is demanding too much or being excessively rude for no reason; I was not taking it that far. This was an 8 minute phone call and Tina picked up the phone with an attitude. I rarely ever express this kind of emotion because I know customer service is a tough gig, but this was not some out-of-stock tshirt or overcooked burger. This was my beloved cat of 12 years and I was not getting any kind of compassion or help from Tina. I understand a business is a business, hours are hours, but I was more professional as a 22 year old having clothes thrown at my face than Tina was on an 8 minute phone call with someone whoβs grieving.2 stars: 1. Andrew, 2. no one lost my cat's body (sort Google reviews by lowest...)

Losing your dog is never easy no matter how many you lose along your life. This is my 2nd cremation done here and eventhough this site has so much information. I did email a couple questions. "Kim" one of their care specialists was so kind and sincere returning a very helpful and kind return email. She knew Riley right away and was able to ease my heart some. She told me the process and what I was receiving. I'd like to thank her and this caring company for their sincerity. They really seem to care about you and your pet. Very much appreciated. I will always return here for all of my dog's. Thanks again! ππΎ

I had to put my horse down this afternoon, and I could not have asked for a better or more supportive experience than I received from Anthony at Agape this afternoon! Obviously, a sad time, and he could not have been more kind and supportive. The office was responsive and were there within two hours of my call. I could not ask for more.

I want to thank Agape for handling a most difficult time with sincere kindness, care and dignity. Our 14 year old toy poodle Rozzie Bella passed suddenly on 1/25. She was my love and constant companion. My vet handled all of the details. I had no idea what to expect. I spoke with Christi at Agape. She was gentle and helpful. All of our requests were graciously honored. The quality of everything that we ordered was excellent. The attention to detail spoke volumes about the love and respect that they have for you and your pet. With gratitude,Marcy Blume

We lost our sweet Beagle, Isabel after only 10 years with her. She was our baby and a remarkably loyal companion. After learning that her COPD would require us to let her go, we were devastated. As Isabel was being put to sleep, our daughter held her tight repeating, "I'm here. I'm here". Those words stayed with us and we felt a need to be there for Isabel to the completion of this whole process. She had given so much to us, so we wanted to do something more for her. Agape Pet Services offered just what we wanted for Isabel. We chose to do an attended private cremation so we could be there for her - we owed her that. Everyone at Agape was so sweet and kind to us. It is such a difficult process but they make it a little easier. We were allowed to be with her before her cremation, put some family photos in with Isabel and stay at the facility until the process was complete. We got several ink paw prints, a piece of jewelry with her paw print on it, a framed paw print with Isabel's name and of course, her cremains in a beautiful urn with our chosen words on it. Isabel was treated with so much compassion and dignity. Thank you , Agape. From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you.

It's been a number of months since Agape lost my dog's body, argued with me & my vet that they had never picked it up -that it must have been another company although they eventually did find her body, & STILL NO APOLOGY! I was charged twice what it normally has been when I've had my dogs cremated with them in the past! No attempt at all has been made at any kind of compassion.. no proper customer service. They've only added to my grief in this very difficult time.

Every dog has a story. My heart was broken when I lost my 14 year old rescue to complications of advanced age. Agape staff patiently answered questions when I decided to upgrade his urn and reassured me they would connect it to my boy. They couldnβt have known how special Buddyβs fuzzy feet were to my familyβ¦ and yet the care they put into creating the plaster cast of his paw print shows the compassion and thought they put into their work. There are no words to express how much the keepsake means to us. Agape was able to capture a part of his spirit in that imprint that will stay with us even though heβs gone and I will be forever grateful.Thank you, Agape Staff, for making such a difficult time easier to manage. And thank you for caring not just about my dog, but the people who love him.

They treated us with such tenderness and respect, and the quality of product is so high. No one wants to say goodbye to a pet but this team makes it as smooth and as possible.

My husband and I made the heart breaking decision of putting our pup down. We took him to Agape and we could not have been happier with his treatment. They took care of him and were understanding and compassionate about our feelings. They made us feel like he was in good hands. My husband and I stayed through the whole process. We saw them put our pup in and were there when he came out. They were gentle and respectful . My baby boy went exactly the way he deserved from start to finish . Thank you Agape for respecting the integrity of our baby boy and putting us at ease knowing he was taken care of!!

"The Greek word for the kind of love we are talking about is 'agape'. Agape love is a self-giving love. It's not about emotional responses but a steadfast commitment to someone. It's the kind of commitment that combines our affections, desires, feelings, wills, character and purposes to love wholeheartedly."~~ Melanie Davis PorterThis is a quote from this morning's Bible study lesson, in II Chronicles 31 about King Hezekiah. And it is a perfect description of my recent experience of the folks at Agape Pet Services earlier this week. There was nothing they couldn't do to help me find the perfect way to hold my Macaw's memory after having given her her final rest just hours before. The compassion, the sensitivity, the gentle demeanor, the extreme and concerted effort to come alongside me in my grief and loss and serve my every need, even when I was unsure what it was that I needed was unbelievable.Throughout my experience with this staff, this same sense of complete service was overwhelming. Their ability to draw from my unclear communications what would be a fitting memorial, then to create from those thoughts something so wonderful, so awe inspiring, cannot be fully described but only experienced. Having had such an experience on my first occasion to deal with these folks, I can think of no one else I would choose to help with any other Companion Animal we may lose in the future.

I lost my beloved dog after 17 years and letting. Him go was he hardest and most heartbreaking decision in my whole life. The vet recommended Agape and use their services. I picked up my dog's remains today. I took a look at his " paw print" that was nothing more than a dirty smudged imprint. I was fastidious about always keeping his paws clean. They didn't even have the common decency to wipe his paw prior to making the imprint in whte clay. I was devastated about this level the of care, it was filthy. Not only do I not have a second chance to have it done right, it now makes me wonder about the respect they had for him for the private (if it even was) cremation. The lack of any respect for something as simple as a paw print; I can't understand why I was not redone, thinking a dirty, smudged print was even acceptable. My heart is now broken for the second time in 10 days thinking about the way the love of my life and best friend was mistreated and especially disrespected. Be careful your pet is treated with the respect they deserve, because the love you shared should demand it of people who don't. My dog's name is Scrappy and he'll be forever loved and missed and he deserved better.

You don't realize how wonderful these people are until you use someone else. My new to me vet used a different company and I had an awful experience where my horse was returned to me in a bucket as if that is an acceptable urn. I always thought that the standard of care Agape provides was standard across the board. It is absolutely not. Agape is truly wonderful and I will never use anyone other than them. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Not all pet services are created equal. Apparently only a few, like Agape, have hearts and truly care.

I'm sad to have to edit my review from 5 Stars to 1. In reality, I would now give them 0 if it were an option because THEY LOST MY DOG'S BODY.I was managing a Vet Clinic when Agape first opened & convinced the clinic owner to switch to using Agape's services, I liked the people so well when I first met them. And 10+ years later, when I walked in to their lobby to drop off a deceased pet, one of the employees recognized me. At the time I was still so impressed with "that kind of family atmosphere business" that had driven me to be one of their first clients so many years previous to this.Unfortunately it seems that now their business has been so successful & they've grown so much that this kind of service is no longer what clients can expect from Agape. After not hearing from Agape for a week after they had picked my dog's body up for individual cremation, I called in to inquire. The person with whom I spoke said they did not have my pet, even though I knew that they had & that there had to be some error in their logging system. They were VERY RUDE to me, not in the least bit caring or sympathetic. A lady named Luna wouldn't speak with me about trying to figure out where the issue (& my dog!) was & insisted on only speaking to my vets office. She tried calling my vet once, then told me to call them to have them call her.. like she was obviously too busy to try calling them more than that single time. She was pretty hauty & condescending about it, insisting that they didn't have my dog & that I was mistaken. She wasn't interested in listening to my explanations of why I knew that they had picked my dog up, etc.. I was obviously just a huge nuisance to her. Even if I had been mistaken, I would've expected a kinder attitude considering their business & the circumstances.Eventually my vet's office was able to straighten out Agape's error, but no one from Agape ever apologized to me for losing my dog's body -thankfully only temporarily!I was changed approximately $440 for the private cremation of my 85# dog (even though I had previously purchased an urn from Agape so there shouldn't have been any charges for that), so no attempts to lessen the changes to make up for their terrible error was made, in addition to their being no apology for all the additional stress they caused me.Needless to say, Agape has lost a longtime faithful customer.. I could forgive an error, but not the level of callousness I experienced during that very difficult time.

I cannot say enough about how kind and helpful Agape Pet Services was to me! !.They were very honest, trustworthy and sensitive. I felt they genuinely cared about each client and their needs..It was very comforting knowing that my beloved cat Zoe was in their care through the last stage of her life on earth. Additionally, I really appreciated their wide selection of non-traditional urns and their artistic capabilities to create beautiful pieces of jewelry Incorporating Zoe's cremains.

After having to say goodbye to our beloved 17 1/2 yr old Blackjack, was a devestating time for our family. We wanted him back to his home with us, and when he arrived from Agape Pet, it was extremely reassuring that they handled him with the respect of our loved one, and the dignity he deserved! Blackjack's engraved urn was lovingly placed in a velvet bag, along with his paw print and a note assuring us that these were his remains. To have him home again is comforting, but the fact that Agape showed the caring and compassion to him, fills my heart that he mattered and was cared for respectfully! Thank You to everyone at AGAPE PET SERVICES!

Words cannot express how wonderful Agape Pet Services is. When my little guy passed away unexpectedly, I was completely devastated. The vet referred me to Agape, and I was able to arrange a private viewing. They treated him with such dignity and respect, and I will be forever grateful to them for letting me say goodbye.

This place is wonderful, everyone is exceptionally kind and understands your loss. I have taken two of my precious babies and everyone was so sweet, but due to unfortunate incidence I haven't been able to pick up my second baby my brother passed away and then my mom passed away and she didn't have insurance so my finances went to that I also lost my house. It really upsets me because they are such wonderful people and I miss my baby he was my Rottweiler for 12 years I lost him then my brother and my mom just a few months after I sincerely recommend this place prepare ahead and at least go down there and look around it is a beautiful place and meet those amazing people.

To start, I didn't receive the ink prints that I'd requested, and there's no fixing that now. The clay print I received looks like absolute trash. You can tell that there was no care or concern put into it and someone just went "good enough" like it isn't the last piece of a loved family member that a griever will receive.Check who will be providing services and if it's Agape, demand somewhere else please and avoid the added heartbreak.

Iβm uncertain when the tradition to include a paw print became the standard. I moved to Maryland from Colorado where my other dogβs urn was accompanied by an unexpected paw print mold and it was so surprisingly comforting. After my 15 year old Doxie woke up one day last weekend and couldnβt breathe (we knew the end was near prior to our last day together) I was forced with that decision of decisions that ruins us all. When the pet ER asked about cremation, I ALMOST mustered up the courage to ask about a paw print. But I was bereft and I didnβt. I couldnβt. I had just lost my bubba, my Velcro, my black bean, my noodle, my best friend and I was without words in general. Everything felt like an imposition in that moment. Fast forward 6 days when the beautiful carved rosewood urn I picked out arrived. The box sat for several hours as I knew what it contained and could not bring myself to renew my grief all over again by opening it and placing it on the shelf with my 2 other loved souls Iβve lost. But eventually, I gave in. And much to my wonderful surprise, a paw print. It was equal parts solace and grief again. But solace always wins. Thank you agape for the beautiful card and the paw print. Your services were precisely what my broken heart needed to help the road to healing.

It's soo hard to lose our beloved pets. The Agape Family understands and is compassionate and empathetic. They understand that our pets are on family.I recently lost My Bailey Cat and they took good care of him and when I recieved him back. I knew alot of care went into everything I asked of them. I would highly recommend them . They truly care.

I used them a year ago when my first horse passed away at 25. He was my best friend for 17 of those years and I wanted to do write by him.Agape came and picked him up and the people that lived on the farm and my husband told me just how kind and respectful they were to his body. The employees were incredibly kind and helpful. They sent him home a few days later. I wasn't ready to make choices of a ern and they wrapped his remains in a heavy duty bag and then placed in a velvet bag.He sits in m office in his special box.I couldn't ask for a better more caring experience.

Our sweet goat passed of old age and I called around for someone to pick her up and remove her humanely. We were met at our home less than 24 hours after placing the call with a very kind, compassionate, professional gentleman who assured me he didn't need help with our girl, which at probably 60lbs I hesitantly stayed back to help or assist although I didn't want to have to see her in that state. The tech who mentioned he has a farm and familiar with goats, gracefully did it on his own which made it much easier on me to see my 17 year old girl carefully cradled and wrapped up. I filled out the info and it was over in a short few minutes. We had an animal removed years ago, lost the company's number but for good reason, I found Agape and I will use them for all cremations from here on out! Thank you for providing this service when burial /compost is not an option for us!!!RebeccaKingsville, Md

The loss of my furbaby was tragic. Though we knew she was slowing down and getting old I was not as prepared to lose her as I initially thought. Agape did a wonderful job with memorializing her. The urn and pawprint brings me joy and sadness. I am so grateful to them for this.

I have worked with Agape in multiple states, and my experiences with them every single time has been nothing but heartfelt and amazing. My family and I have walked away feeling cared for and feeling like we were a priority.

Southpaw vets recommended Agape, and my sweet Coco cat is back home here, with her pawprint. I lost her a month ago after 15 years and the grief is still there.I thank Agape for the care of her final remains, and that helps me alot. I recommend them to others having to make this sad choice.

I lost my baby too soon from a tragic accident when a driver ran his light and rammed our vehicle where he was buckled in. Three years to the day that I brought him home at 7 weeks old. The vet recommended Agape and I appreciated the guarantee of receiving him and not the ashes of another (didn't know it was a thing). The low rating is for the rest of their services.I was called at work because due to a mistake, a specific mold I called about previously wasn't made before his cremation. I was a wreck but accidents happen, they apologized, nothing can be done to fix it. However, to add insult to injury, when I finally received my little one, there was a glaring typo on his urn!I haven't heard back from them after I left a message so a friend called to handle it. However, in order to "fix" it, I would need to select a different urn from the one I specifically ordered. I chose this one because out of all the ones they offer, it reminds me of my baby. This company caused more stress and renewed grief on top of an already unbearable time.

I have used the services of Agape a few times over the last couple of years (sorry, folks, you're rather far from DC) and each time I have been pleased with their service and sweet, understanding help. It is never easy to schlep your furry friend to the "final destination" but these folks are terrific and make it as easy as they can. Kudos for a recent urgent service turnaround; I inconvenienced the crew but they were yeomans about it, and I truly, deeply appreciate it (note it wasn't free, but it was reasonable and certainly worth it).

Communications are horrible. Had been told that there was after hours pick up available. Called on the way to my vet on a Saturday and was told that my dog would not be picked up until Thursday. Got a phone call four days later on Tuesday telling me that the cremation was done and that my dog had been picked up on Monday because the vet called and asked when they were coming. The vet was told that their was someone in the area that afternoon. So is it my dogβs ashes in the urn on my cabinet? Their website lists some expensive accessories, but not the sizes. I ordered a military style dog tag with my dogβs(alledgedly) nose print. What I received was significantly smaller than what I expected. On the upside, the urn and accessories arrived early in the timeframes promised.

Agape was compassionate and patient helping our family with the final arrangements for our good girl, Kiley. I especially want to thank Sarah for her kind and professional care in helping us deal with this heartbreaking loss.

Last week my cat, Buddy, had to be euthanized at CARE animal Hospital. Together with Agape they truly honored my baby boys remains and got them to us quickly. I am so appreciative of everything they did for us. Thank you so so much

Open, honest and respectful of our wishes. The loss of our dog has been devastating. Our visit and private viewing at Agape brought us comfort and peace during such a tragic time. I would recommend this place for any loving pet parent who has suffered a loss.

I honestly do not know where to begin.I am so grateful for these incredible people. The speed in which they answered me, returned calls, and got to the farm was unexpected and much appreciated. The respect they showed while picking up my horse, Chance, was something I will always remember. And the kindness and compassion everyone I have spoken to and dealt with at Agape amazed me. Thank you for making this heart wrenching time into a heartwarming experience.

Rowan Brandt
I have worked with Agape in multiple states, and my experiences with them every single time has been nothing but heartfelt and amazing. My family and I have walked away feeling cared for and feeling like we were a priority.

I picked up my baby boys ashes today. It was beautifully done. Paw print in plaster and urn was heavy and we appreciate the sympathy card as well. Highly recommend agape pet services.

I just received my Evy's ashes today. Not only do they provide beautiful caring services, they provide a card certifying your fur baby was treated with the highest respect. The box her ashes were contained in is lovely and is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This group of people were meant to do this job - the level of care and compassion that they give to such a sensitive situation is beyond par. I felt as though my Handsome Boy Charlie was their only priority. Thank you so much to everyone on the staff at Agape - you all made this difficult time that much more bearable.

Mr Hupka
