Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral services was so caring and supportive during the most difficult time of my family’s life. KC was patient and guided us thru the process and helped us make very difficult decisions. On the day of my dad’s service KC and Jon were there to help us navigate a very difficult day. While on vacation for our 54th wedding anniversary, my husband passed away very suddenly from a heart attack. I was in a state of shock but knew my husband wanted to be cremated.I called Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Services for guidance and everyone was wonderful! They were benevolent and very understanding. They helped me through the entire process and made certain to answer all my questions.When I returned to take my husband’s remains home, they were very kind and had everything ready in a very professional way.The staff continues to support me with phone calls to make certain I am ok. I would recommend this cremation business to anyone who is unfortunate to need this service.

The people at Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service are outstanding. I called them prior to Judie's death, and they were extremely helpful with information I needed since they were in a different state.The staff at Eastern Shore, Caitlin and Ken were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful once my wife passed.There was no pressure or effort to upsell any of their services, but they only sat and talked of our wishes and how they could best serve them.They kept in touch during the entire cremation process letting us know the day it was happening and then letting us know when we could pick up her cremains.I was surprised by the care and presentation taken in the tote with well packaged ashes and the necessary paperwork, death certificates, and documents of authenticity.They have since followed up with helpful information on steps to take upon the death of a spouse. Later they sent my family information on dealing with the feelings of the death and available resources to help in various ways.My family would truly recommend them for any service that anyone would need in the death of a loved one.

When my nephew passed away suddenly in Ocean City MD, we had no local family or friends to help with arrangements. After researching, KC and the staff at Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service were highly recommended by State and local hospital officials. From the first call with KC we received immediate information to make our plans. Most importantly we were given compassionate support. While the service was flawless, including handling everything over the phone and e-mail and the pricing was the most affordable, it was the human touch that really comforted and impressed us. When my dad passed a couple of months ago, we had already had things set up for him to be taken to Eastern shore. They made everything with his cremation as smooth as can be. We feel bad for Sally because we were calling a lot with questions and different things that the family wanted to do since me and my siblings wanted to also have some of his ashes in separate necklaces separate from the main ern, and she took care of it with no problems and made sure the copies of the death certificate were ready as we needed. Casey was very professional during the meeting to set up everything considering some of my family being there who were not the easiest to deal with,and made sure my dad had a flag for being in the service. I'd recommend Eastern shore to anyone in need of an affordable cremation or burial service.

I am basing this review on the kindness, compassion, and patience of KC Bland, Sally, and Eastern Shore Cremation Services. While we ultimately had to use a different crematorium (my nephew had to be moved to the MEs office in Baltimore), KC met with my sister and me for almost an hour. He answered ALL the questions we had, showed us options, he was honest, and upfront about pricing and services. He gave us handouts/information and made an incredibly difficult time much easier. I would highly recommend.

From the initial call, remains care, to the meeting on my wishes everything was handled professionally and with grace and caring. The people at Eastern Shore Cremation Service treated my husband with respect and dignity, even draping a flag over him as they moved him. When I picked up his ashes, they had prepared a short ceremony and presented an American flag for his military service. We recently moved to the lower Eastern Shore 18 months ago and my wife was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer last June and she passed on 01/24/23. Being new to the area and 180 miles from where we were from I had no idea who to turn to and trust with my wife’s final arrangements and was referred to Eastern Shore Cremation by Coastal Hospice. The ones who came for my wife that night were professional, understanding, and just really nice. They treated her with dignity and let us take our time with her. I cannot say enough good things about ESC from final paperwork and picking an urn to the follow up of my well being weeks after, I would suggest and recommend them to anyone in the area.

I cannot say enough positive things about Holloway Funeral Home/Eastern Shore Cremation & Funeral Service!When a friend residing in nursing care in Salisbury passed away unexpectedly in late October 2020, I had no idea where to turn or how to proceed. An employee at the nursing home recommended Holloway Funeral Home from prior personal experience. Because of her high praise, I immediately contacted them. Jonathan Holloway answered the phone and put me at ease right away. I knew within the first few minutes of speaking to him that I had found the right place. He was incredibly kind and helpful. As a first step, he agreed to bring my loved one into the care of Holloway Funeral Home until I could decide on next steps which was a great comfort to me since removal from the nursing home was required immediately. He then spent a lot of time explaining various options and introduced me to Kathleen, the location manager and Funeral Director at Eastern Shore Cremation & Funeral Service, a division of Holloway Funeral Home, once I decided that the cremation package offered there best fit my needs.Kathleen was as kind, knowledgeable and professional as Jonathan, and expertly guided me through each step of the cremation process explaining it along the way. She made me feel like my loved one was important and that she understood my grief and went out of her way to help me order prayer cards and build the memorial wall which was enjoyed and praised by everyone who viewed it. She really took a personal interest and was generous with her time to help me through the entire process.These folks are experts in client service and satisfaction. I would highly recommend either Holloway Funeral Home or Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service depending on your needs.

Losing a loved one is never easy. Vitas recommend this place while we were setting up funeral arrangements for my father, who was not doing so well at the time. I'm so thankful that my father was taken care at Eastern Shore Cremations. They were the most helpful and pleasant people I have ever dealt with. Kathleen was very thorough and made every thing, as easy as possible. Even called and checked up on me, weeks after my dad's passing, to make sure we were ok and if there was anything else she could do to help. You will not have a better experience anywhere else then here, so make sure you have your loved ones taken care of in their services!

When Mom passed away, with this pandemic virus, I wasn't sure which way to turn. I live a few hours away, and I wasn't physically able to be there. I had no clue what to do.We discussed "direct cremation" long ago, and made our choices with the info we had. Of course, we never got past those choices in order to turn them into an actual plan.I was clueless, as to how to proceed - what to do next. I not only did not have the answers, I wasn't even sure about the questions. Of course I wanted to be sure Mom's remains were treated with all the dignity she deserved. I was very concerned about trying to accomplish that remotely. Thank God for Miss Nicole, and Miss Kathleen!These ladies guided me through a difficult situation, with absolute professionalism, and with incredible kindness as well. After speaking with them, I knew that I didn't need to worry. I had someone who would help me with "business matters", with due regard for emotional matters as well.I can't think of anything that I would change. I hope I'll never need them again, but I know who to call, and where to send my friends.These folks are a class act!
