I have had a professional relationship with Bibber Memorial Chapel and the Bibber family for over 30 years. Having been a primary care physician in the area, I have interacted with the Bibber family literally hundreds of times. I find them to be of the highest moral and ethical character. I have witnessed their handling of many families, including my own, at their most vulnerable times and I can say without hesitation they are amongst the most caring and compassionate individuals I know. I have witnessed first hand, acts of kindness and dignity toward the deceased that went far beyond what I or ethical standards would have expected. Without hesitation I support the Bibber family and Bibber Memorial Chapel.

When my husband unexpectedly passed away, I found comfort at the Bibber Memorial Chapel. I’d like to publicly thank Doug, Eddie, Pat, and all of the employees at Bibbers, who offered a safe, caring, professional place for my daughter, and I to grieve. I was in a fog and they walked me through each step with kindness and support. They offered my daughter and I a private viewing session prior to the funeral that was handled with such grace, professionalism, and respect. The Bibbers are highly qualified, but they also have a heart. As it is family owned, they take pride in this sensitive business. It takes a special kind of person to tend to the grieving. I would highly recommend Bibber Memorial.

We didn’t have to worry about anything and Doug made every accommodation to make our family feel comfortable and cared for during a difficult time. Bibber Memorial Chapels provided a wonderful service for our family when myFather passed. Eddie Bibber and his staff took care of all of the details and made a truly sad time for us a lot easier to deal with. They coordinated seamlessly ( at least as far as we could see) with another funeral home in the state where my Dad passed away and provided our family with nothing but comfort knowing everything was taken care of. I know it took a lot of time and effort from Bibbers and we always felt like we were their priority during the days leading up to and the day of the services.

I have such a deep appreciation for Bibber Memorial Chapel. They have handled many, many funeral services for my family; grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and sadly my young nephew. Each and every experience has been handled with respect, dignity and care. When my mom died, Doug actually came back from his vacation with his family to personally take care of her. She died in her home. They left behind a silk rose and carried her in a beautiful quilt. When my nephew passed in Washington DC, they were a tremendous help in getting him back home and processing all the paperwork. My dad died after a long illness. They made my last memory of him so positive by really presenting him the way he looked when he was healthy. I’m forever grateful for that last image. These are just a few examples of my experience with them. You will never encounter a more respectful, compassionate, professional and caring place.

Bibber's has always shown infinite compassion and professionalism over the more that 3 decades that I have known and worked with the family. I first worked with Bibber’s as an emergency dispatcher for the town of Wells and then later for a loss in my own family. I trust the Bibber family and staff completely and would not hesitate to send anyone I care about to them in their hours of need.

I never thought I’d be giving a 5-star review for a funeral service, but it is well worth it to share this with others.The sudden loss of my mother was very overwhelming to all of us. I was so grateful to Bibber’s (in Kennebunk) who made process feel absolutely seamless. From our first meeting, Doug felt more like family - he and his staff were caring, compassionate, and able to guide us through the process of the wake, the service and the burial.Carolyn did a fabulous job helping us celebrate my mom’s life with her words! Our family deals with death with some light humor and my mom would have loved the stories that were shared.It was truly a celebration of her life, and not the ending of one. Bibber’s did a beautiful job all around.

Death of a loved one is always hard to deal with. When my husband Bob recently passed away the folks at Bibber Memorial and Chapel embraced me like family. Doug walked me thru every aspect from choosing the urn to planning the greatest celebration of life gathering which was held on premise. Doug hired the caterer and the bagpipe player..provided the background music plus the huge TV which featured the 2018 Superbowl "Eagles vs. Patriots". Bob had been a huge Eagles fan since childhood. Doug and some staff were present for the entire 3 hour event overseeing everything.Thank you Doug and the entire Bibber family for making that day easy and memorable.

I hope no parent will ever have to endure this pain! My baby great niece Emma’s life was cut short at only 6 weeks old. The unfortunate and unexplained death associated with SIDS is truly heartbreaking! This alone is enough to break any parent!Now imagine you have to attend your infant baby’s funeral-you’ve made the impossible decision to have an open casket for immediate family to say goodbye ~ Upon arriving at the church to view your baby’s body for the last time - you are escorted to where she lies - to your complete shock and horror you question weather the body your viewing is even your daughter- that is how bad she looked. Her poor tiny body had already started to decay - her fingers were black - skin was purple and green and her eyes were sunken in. Now imagine never being able to get that vision out of your head! This is the last way you saw your precious angel. The nightmares are never ending.NO PARENT SHOULD EVER HAVE TO ENDURE THIS PAIN!!! Bibber needs to be held accountable! This is just simply NOT OK!#justiceforbabyemma

Overheard employees at a funeral here stating “I would not worry too much about this family (of the deceased), they aren’t exactly at the top of the food chain”. I would not trust anyone here to show care and compassion for anyone I love!!

With the loss of my mother recently our experience with the Bibber funeral home was excellent .Doug Bibber and staff helped with the fine details and were extremely kind, honest and considerate.We have known the Bibber family for many years and have had many family services there.The Bibber boys are kind, thoughtful and compassionate, and are well respected in our community.Their Father and Grandfather would be proud of how they are continuing the family legacy.We highly recommend them in you time of need.
