Even the basic package comes with a gorgeous, carved wooden box, paw print, and lock of hair. Carolyn is an absolute angel and went above and beyond making such a tough experience as good as it can be (I can't thank her enough for the way she advocated for us and the empathy she gave us). ZERO STARS!! DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND LOVE YOUR BABY⊠BECAUSE THEY DO NOT!!!!!!Did you even give me my baby back? Or just a bag of random ashes!?!?The custom urn arrived scratched and the engraving was crooked! The cylinder necklace engraving is smudged and sloppy! I asked (and paid) for front AND rear paw prints⊠I only received front! When I asked about this they insisted they did his back prints but no one can tell me which are supposed to be his back paws⊠why? Because none of them are! They even labeled one of the prints âFrâ for front! This print matches the others!When I showed the woman the messed up necklace and urn (immediately after she handed them to me⊠opened btw, so they already saw them) she told me âwell thatâs how we got itâ. As if I am supposed to just accept that?!They do not offer refunds nor do they offer to fix anything thatâs messed up. Please know that this is not easy for us to give such a bad review, but anyone who is thinking to use Heaven's Pets at the moment should pause, read, and decide for themselves.We had used them in the past. Both times were 5 star quality. We recently lost our eldest pet and was comfortable with Heaven's Pets handling things. What made this experience awful was :1. They had a fire thst completely destroyed their facility nearly a year ago. They did not inform us. They literally have no facilities to accommodate.2. They are operating business out of a decrepit office building near to their old structure. It was a "sick" building. Ceiling tiles with moldy water stains, falling inward. Generally very dirty, old office Cubicles with smells to match.3. We were sat down next to the entry door. A moment later, our pet was wheeled out of a doorway and rolled in front of us like a dessert cart in a restaurant, uncovered from shoulders/neck up. We were told to follow this cart into a storage room where they kept defunct office furniture, shelving, and printers. There were phones with cords wrapped around, piles old squares of carpet remnants randomly tossed into a corner, and about 4 to 5 old office chairs against a wall. Our pet was placed over a "velvet" synthetic cover with a matching drape over the body. Both were dirty/ stained. Our pets eye was open and the body was frozen to the touch. I couldn't take this. I requested help. Someone entered the room with a tube of superglue and sealed the eye. The entire event was traumatic.I am telling this because I do not want anyone else to have this experience. I legitimately complained. I received a call next day with a swift " we're sorry"... proceeded by one pathetic excuse after another.If you are planning on using them... PLEASE make certain they have completed their facility. Do not use them otherwise. There is another company in New Orleans that we have visited ahead of time. And it's lovely. We will be using them when the time arrives.The employees at Heaven's Pets for the most part, are considerate and professional... but the facilities are deplorable and unacceptable. Our pets are family to us. They deserve better than what we experienced.

Alphea at heavens pets was absolutely amazing. She was so genuine and sincerely caring during every phone conversation. We had to put my Morkie of 13 1/2 years down after being diagnosed with mast cell cancer. She made the process super easy and was extremely helpful when choosing the package for our baby. After putting our baby down, Alphea called to go over every detail and also called when she arrived. We received a call exactly 3 days later with our sweet Bellaâs remains in a beautiful hand carved urn, we also recieved a silicone paw print along with a silicone nose print and an ink print of Bellaâs nose and paw. Bellaâs remains were packaged so perfectly and delicately. As difficult as this process was, Alphea and Heavens pets made everything effortless and we will never forget how they took such wonderful care of our angel in heaven. Canât thank them enough! Iam so glad my vet connected us with heavens pets. We lost our pig last week and he was so special to us and losing him was hard and due to his size we had no idea what we were going to do with him after he passed. Heavens pets really did come to our rescue. They made sure because he was so big they sent the right amount of guys in a big enough vehicle to make his last ride very comfortable. The guys who showed up to pick him up were all so kind,caring and careful with my boy. MS Caroline the lady i spoke with on the phone who set up everything was amazing. She showed so much empathy and made everything so much easier for us on this very tough day. Thank yall again for everything. They offer a lovely service. I feel good about the communal creation and having my beloved dog sprinkled in the butterfly garden as his final resting place.They really can improve their customer service. Over a month went by and no one ever contacted me to pick up his keepsakes. Calls go directly to answering service, but I finally got my keepsakes and they are beautiful.

I've used Heaven's Pets many times over the past several years and I've always had good experiences with them. Just got my bearded dragon cremated and they were so kind and understanding. I paid online and someone contacted me right away, I brought him in and they spoke with me about my wants, when we went to pick him up we were late getting there but they stayed late and let us pick up our baby. Truly kind people who care. Will be using again in the future.

I received a call from Leslie at Heavens Pets on Tuesday that he was in their care. We agreed upon a package and she said they were 2 weeks out with the process. 1 day less than 2 weeks I received the call my Jasper was ready. The conversations were very compassionate and I appreciate and recommend Heavens Pets.

We lost our precious pug on February 29th of this year. Her loss was so very hard on our entire family. Although it took longer than I expected to get our princess' cremains returned, they did a great job with communicating with us and taking care of our girl while she was away from us. The only thing I would change would have been the length of time it took. We got her back today and are very happy with everything. I realize there are a lot of reviews on here regarding the recent fire and how everything was handled. Reading those made me very uneasy so I wanted to put this out here and say, while not ideal for how long the process took, they did a great job. I am sorry for everyone who experienced a less than stellar experience in January and after losing a pet, cannot imagine what that was like but I am so thankful for the smooth process we had and to have our girl home again with us! I was wary of Heaven's Pets cremating my beloved cat who passed in early February, but even with all the complications due to their facility fire in mid January, they did a wonderful job at handling my fur baby's cremation. They were very compassionate and paid close attention to every detail. I feel sad for the pet owners who were unable to recover their pets ashes due to the fire. I also feel for the staff at HP for their loss and the overwhelming complications because of the fire. I hope a resolution is reached. Either way, I recommend HP, and am grateful and thankful for their care.

Dealing with heavens pets was the worst choice Iâve ever made. My dog was cremated 10 days before the fire took place. I was told he was ready and would be delivered two days before the fire. After a month of almost no response from them, I was told my dogs ashes paw prints hair locks had all been left in the crematorium and had been ruined and lost in all the rubble. Horrible experience. Horrible customer service and they waited weeks to issue a refund. They were barley apologetic on the phone. Patrick himself told me there is absolutely no fire suppression system in place and no protocols to prevent damages from happening to the only things left of our pets. In a city plagued by hurricanes you would think they would at least store these precious remains in a more secure area then letting my dogs ashes sit in the crematorium for ten days.

Back on February 15th, I decided it was time to put my sweet Hershey girl down. After learning about the fire Heavens Pets endured I was devastated. Reading the current reviews, I was truly worried Hershey would take forever to come home, or worse case, get lost amongst completely. My heart truly goes out to the pet parents who never got their baby back, I am personally so very sorry.The lady who called me 4 days after her passing truly touched my heart. Her voice was so kind, and so calming I do not think I will ever forget. She was so kind about my wishes too, listened to everything I asked.. down to wanting both colors of her fur.Today is March 8th. I asked about how long and the timeline was almost correct with getting her back. All her items we received back in the $350 package are simply so beautiful. I live in Alabama and only in the area for a couple months. My dog Angel had to be put down. The vet told me about Heavens Pets. They called me after they picked her up and after talking with them I knew I chose the right place. I think they are very compassionate and took very good care of her. I got her ashes, paw prints, and nose print back yesterday and was so happy with everything they did.

My cat passed away on February 28th. I had no idea about the fire until I looked on google. This place was offered through my vet. If I had taken the time to look this place up I would have probably sent my cat somewhere else after reading the reviews and from my own personal experience as of now. It is now March 13th and I have not heard any word from this place. When you call, you get an answering machine which I find very insensitive to grieving pet owners. I am so sorry for all the pet owners who lost their babies in the fire. I know you want your babies home. I am hoping and praying that I will be able to have my baby back home with me soon and I hear back from a live human.Update: I received a phone call back today about my cat. However the lady who returned my call was very rude. Thankful to be able to get my catâs remains but not happy with this place and their customer service. Do better.

The epitome of shady business practices. Taking HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS from people for a service they cannot provide and not offering a refund, is theft. They have shown us nothing besides how much they don't care about the grieving families and only care about the money.To the owners, if you're reading this,YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.You have caused a lot of hurt to already grieving families by going silent when asked about our pets. You did not prioritize the pets you lost in the fire, you just continued to do business at a different location.You turned off comments, messaging, and refuse to return phone calls. We're not mad that your business caught on fire, we're mad that you gaslight us into believing that our babies were coming home so you didn't have to refund everyone all at once.You are heartless.

My dog passed away on the 16th of January 2024 and was brought to Heaven's pets for cremation.We our chased the platinum package as we wanted our dog to have the best cremation that they offered including a nose print some fur or paw print and a beautiful urn.Here we are in January30th and still.my dog hasn't been returned to us with proper treatment.After this experience I can honestly say it was a very horrible insensitive place to deal with that showed no caring about my animal and our wishes with him and uses an answering service rather than an individual to speak with at the place because the answering service gives them the message I'm sure but they never seem to want to return the call.

They donât even deserve one star. I highly do not recommend. My pup passed on the feb 6th an I didnât get her back until almost a month. If I would have known the extent of how long extra. I would have brought my business elsewhere. I asked for her last tooth a they said they couldnât do it. So I had told the vet. And there was just no communication between the vet and heavens pets to ensure I got what was requested. Her ink nose print is horrible. Plus they gave me her remains in the wrong urn!! I asked if there was anything they can do to reimburse me for what was supposed to be an easy a very memorable an meaningful process. But instead it was the exact opposite. They didnât do right by my muffy or myself.To my surprise nothing was done.Your babies deserve better than this. Muffy was like my child she was almost 20 I got her when I was 8. Just a reference to show how much she meant to me an was part of my life for so long. My heart hurts from the situation. An I just want everyone else to get the best care for their babies.

Upon initial outreach, I was so comforted by the care and concern the staff took in the delicate and timely manner in which my baby was taken care of. Despite feeling pressured to commit to etching on the name plate for my dog, I was very pleased with the beginning of my experience. The staff were so caring and had great bedside manner. I was very impressed that I recieved a courtesy call when my baby was ready to be picked up at my vet.Sadly, that changed when I picked up my baby without a name plate, and had expected that special touch to be there. I called Heaven's Pets about this; rude, defensive customer service could not have been further from what I expected as a grieving pet parent. I could have sworn I heard someone call me "crazy" under their breath on the phone.I'm sad that I only have smudged paw prints (caused by "hair" and "cheeks") and silicone imprints covered in gunk from dirty paws left of my baby. They didn't take the time to cut back enough of my dogs fur to get good molds. Disappointing.

If youâve lost a fur baby, this is the place to take them. The staff at Heavenâs Pets are some of the most caring, loving, compassionate and supportive people I have ever met. They truly care and they listen, this isnât just a job for them like a lot of other places. They treated my family and myself like as if we were their family. We lost our dog just this past Tuesday and weâve been completely devastated and lost. They were very sensitive to our feelings and helped us through the entire process, giving us lots of options and comfort through it all. They are absolutely angels and I thank god for them, especially during this difficult time.

I too must complain about the treatment after the fire. A business suffering a fire can be a challenge to come back from. This business handled soo much wrong. I was only called and notified after I called them and left a message. All I kept getting was, sorry for your loss and we don't have any information for you, at this time. The owner posted on Facebook that they had access to the building and would begin to contact people. Only to post weeks later that they had only partial access and finally gained full access to the building. How about some transparency for grieving pet owners. We lost our pet twice,. They contacted me as to any identifying scars or marks to identify our pet. I answered back, only for them to go silent on me after two weeks. This is a lack of caring from a business built on caring. I will be sure to never use this persons business (Jenifer Melius, Patrick McCausland)or anything they are affiliated with. They could have gathered up all the remains and cremated them, and created a monument to put the ashes in. This could have been in a garden area with seating for the pet owners to visit. The names of the lost pets could have been on the monument. But instead they handled everything with a lack of caring and compassion for the people that were grieving. I waited to post this and give them some time to do the right thing and they chose not to.

While we used Heavenâs Pets under sad circumstances, I was very impressed and pleased with how Heavenâs Pets took care of our family. I honestly could not recommend them higher. Several years ago, I had received some mailers from them, and in June, I had a great informational call with Althea, and was able to ask a lot of questions about how I wanted to remember my dog. I was able to complete a pre-arrangement plan for when he did pass, and I felt that it gave me some peace of mind. They donât require payment until your pet passes, and thereâs no discount for paying in advance. I also felt relieved that they would pick up my dog from the vetâs office (within 90 miles I think) of their office.I was not aware that you could hold your own service for your beloved pet as part of the private viewing-when I opted for the private viewing, frankly, it was just for peace of mind that I was getting him back. When other friends or family have cremated their pets, they usually just picked up the cremains from the vetsâ office a few days later, and Iâd never even heard of a private viewing. Truthfully though, this was one of the best decisions that I could have made because I was able to prepare music, flowers, and a service. If I wanted to bring other people, pets, or even children, I could have. (I didnât feel like the website wasnât as clear on this point too, so thatâs why I wanted to include it here too). The private viewings are scheduled for 8am so that you can receive your petâs remains before their close of business the same day. You can also bring items to be cremated along with your pet (like toys or blankets), but we decided to cremate just him (and store those items in his urn). Deja was very thorough in explaining this to me, and couldnât have been nicer as I was crying.On Tuesday, Althea and Mark could not have been kinder to us, and were so thorough. Althea went through what I had pre-planned, and made sure I understood exactly what I was going to receive (because once your loved one is cremated, there isnât any way to get additional paw or nose prints, or fur clippings). She is extremely detail oriented and professional, and thoroughly explained what to expect. We agreed that we would hold our private ceremony first, and then Mark would come in to take his paw and nose prints, as well as his fur clipping. I was grateful for the opportunity to pray over my dog, and speak loving words to him. They never rushed us, and our ceremony took about an hour.When Mark came in to take his nose and paw prints, he did a few practice ones first, and I received them when I picked up my dogâs urn later that day. He was so gentle with my dog, and handled him so lovingly. Iâm not sure who prepared my dog, but he was brought to us on a rolling cart with a pillow and blankets-he really just looked like he was sleeping. It was actually pretty beautiful, and I was grateful for the care they had given him. They really did a wonderful job.When it came time for the actual cremation, Mark was thorough again in explaining what to expect, just like Althea had been. We had the option of staying the whole time (which would have been a few hours), or leaving shortly after we watched him be placed in the crematorium. We opted for the latter, and they bring you a laptop to watch. Even watching Mark place our dog gently in the oven was actually a healing experience.Altogether, we were at Heavenâs Pets from 8-10:30am, and I received a call around 2:30 from Carolyn telling me that we could come by to pick him up. They close at 4:30, and again, Althea couldnât have been nicer when she gave me the bag with his items.Again, we couldnât have had a nicer experience at Heavenâs Pets, and my family and I are so grateful for their services. Even though it has been a very sad 2 weeks since we lost our dog, I sincerely believe that Heavenâs Pets and their services helped us start the healing process. We will forever be grateful to them for how kind, professional, and loving they were to us during a very difficult period.

dealing with Heavenâs pets has been awful. iâve never had to put a pet down & my vet recommended them when i said i wanted him to be cremated. he was a small rat & died on January 12th. Heavenâs Pets took him in January 13th & they called me asking what package i wanted and i paid and everything but then the fire happened. i wasnât even called about the fire i had to find out on my own after i was worried that i havenât had a call from them to get his ashes. they told me about it and that i would get him but it would take time as they try to find out if everyoneâs petâs bodies were okay. iâve called many times and always gotten vague answers & then ended up getting refunded. when i asked why i was refunded, they told me they refunded everyone because of the fire. weeks went by and i still hadnât been called to redo paying for his cremation/urn/impressions. i emailed them saying i wanted them to send his body to my vet because i want to go with another cremation place & now im being avoided. theyâve contacted my vet and said i needed to identify his body (which is odd to me if he was suppose to be in their system already) but wonât respond to me anymore. iâve called and left messages with their automatic answering services and emails. im fearing that iâll never get his body back. they donât care about anything but their reputation but thatâs going in the gutter now as they have hurt many people during this hard time. instead of being honest, theyâve beat around the bush with people. i wouldnât recommend this place to anyone.

I am terribly disgusted at the way Heaven's Pets has treated the families of beloved pets, that were in their care during the recent fire. Grieving families called, emailed, visited in person and were never given any information on the disposition of their pet. These families were put through horrific trauma, by a company that continued business as usual, collecting bodies of deceased pets, like nothing ever happened, while these other families were begging for answers. I have used Heaven's Pets for 3 of my pets, but I will never use them again.

This place is terrible . We as pet owners understand that there was a fire . But this place is not concerned for our deceased animals. I spoke to someone today who stated they have close to 1000 deceased animals there . Instead of doing disaster recovery , they are still accepting newly deceased animals and they have plans to start cremating those newly deceased animals. The priority should have been the animals that were already there . But no they want money . We want justice for our dog and all the other pets . If this were there pets would he feel the same way . Again, today, (10/20/23), I had to make the call to make arrangements for another beloved pet. As a multiple pet owner, I sadly know that for each pet that comes into your life and you rescue or offer a home to, will pass, sometimes as quickly and unexpectedly as they entered your life.Ms. Althea and the entire staff, that I have spoken with or met, at Heaven's Pets have ALWAYS been compassionate and made me feel as though each pet that I brought to them was the only pet and best pet in the world, while I was there. I am sure that many others have had the same care and experience.The paradox of having pets is that we take them in as our lifelong companions, usually for their life span, not our own, thus, we grieve for them as deeply, if not more than when we greeted their entrance into our lives.Oh how much richer our lives are for having them in our lives. For every pet that we rescue from the street, adopt or foster, we give a new life to them and they return the blessings to us.Thank you to all at Heaven's Pets at Lake Lawn.

Terrible customer service!!! My deceased pet was received by them on June 9. I was informed that my petâs engraved urn would take 7-10 days since I requested it to be engraved. I emailed requesting updates on June 23 and June 26 to no answer. I called June 29 and left 2 messages with no return call. At this point I believed they lost my petâs remains. I called the funeral home that they are on the property of to connect me directly to someone at heavens pets. Finally get someone on the phone from heavens pets and they tell my July 4th holiday which is almost 30 days later will delay the delivery of the my pets urn. Today July 17 still no call or email from them for the urn I purchased on June 9. This is so unprofessional and has made the death of our pet an even more tragic event.

They offer a lovely service. I feel good about the communal creation and having my beloved dog sprinkled in the butterfly garden as his final resting place.They really can improve their customer service. Over a month went by and no one ever contacted me to pick up his keepsakes. Calls go directly to answering service, but I finally got my keepsakes and they are beautiful.

I've used Heaven's Pets many times over the past several years and I've always had good experiences with them. Just got my bearded dragon cremated and they were so kind and understanding. I paid online and someone contacted me right away, I brought him in and they spoke with me about my wants, when we went to pick him up we were late getting there but they stayed late and let us pick up our baby. Truly kind people who care. Will be using again in the future.

My cat passed away on Saturday evening March 2nd. The vet said they make arrangements with Heavens Pet's and I agreed. I received a call from Leslie at Heavens Pets on Tuesday that he was in their care. We agreed upon a package and she said they were 2 weeks out with the process. 1 day less than 2 weeks I received the call my Jasper was ready. The conversations were very compassionate and I appreciate and recommend Heavens Pets.

We lost our precious pug on February 29th of this year. Her loss was so very hard on our entire family. Although it took longer than I expected to get our princess' cremains returned, they did a great job with communicating with us and taking care of our girl while she was away from us. The only thing I would change would have been the length of time it took. We got her back today and are very happy with everything. I realize there are a lot of reviews on here regarding the recent fire and how everything was handled. Reading those made me very uneasy so I wanted to put this out here and say, while not ideal for how long the process took, they did a great job. I am sorry for everyone who experienced a less than stellar experience in January and after losing a pet, cannot imagine what that was like but I am so thankful for the smooth process we had and to have our girl home again with us! I was wary of Heaven's Pets cremating my beloved cat who passed in early February, but even with all the complications due to their facility fire in mid January, they did a wonderful job at handling my fur baby's cremation. They were very compassionate and paid close attention to every detail. I feel sad for the pet owners who were unable to recover their pets ashes due to the fire. I also feel for the staff at HP for their loss and the overwhelming complications because of the fire. I hope a resolution is reached. Either way, I recommend HP, and am grateful and thankful for their care.

Dealing with heavens pets was the worst choice Iâve ever made. My dog was cremated 10 days before the fire took place. I was told he was ready and would be delivered two days before the fire. After a month of almost no response from them, I was told my dogs ashes paw prints hair locks had all been left in the crematorium and had been ruined and lost in all the rubble. Horrible experience. Horrible customer service and they waited weeks to issue a refund. They were barley apologetic on the phone. Patrick himself told me there is absolutely no fire suppression system in place and no protocols to prevent damages from happening to the only things left of our pets. In a city plagued by hurricanes you would think they would at least store these precious remains in a more secure area then letting my dogs ashes sit in the crematorium for ten days.

Back on February 15th, I decided it was time to put my sweet Hershey girl down. After learning about the fire Heavens Pets endured I was devastated. Reading the current reviews, I was truly worried Hershey would take forever to come home, or worse case, get lost amongst completely. My heart truly goes out to the pet parents who never got their baby back, I am personally so very sorry.The lady who called me 4 days after her passing truly touched my heart. Her voice was so kind, and so calming I do not think I will ever forget. She was so kind about my wishes too, listened to everything I asked.. down to wanting both colors of her fur.Today is March 8th. I asked about how long and the timeline was almost correct with getting her back. All her items we received back in the $350 package are simply so beautiful. I would give 0 stars if I could. I am one to be very understanding, especially in such unforeseen circumstances. My baby Misty passed away Jan. 6th, and was brought to Heavens Pets by Jan. 9th. She could have been cremated days before their fire. I heard about the incident from Facebook, which was just as gut wrenching as her death already. To think of my poor baby dying, not once, but basically twice. And the second time in such an awful way, haunts me. I called very sparingly due to empathy of the entire situation, with no call in return. But it was when I finally recieved a call that they only had the question of what she even looked like that gutted me once again. I just didnât seem to understand how there was little to no documentation of this information. I may be misinformed of how bad the fire was, but it seemed that they were able to take in new animals as soon as they opened back up, so obviously it didnât damage all their computer systems ?? Which is where my babyâs information should have been held. So they call asking for what she looked like, which I then suggested the idea of sending pictures of her to help. I never received an email or phone response confirming of getting the pictures. I called a few times with no response, just sent directly to their answering desk to take a message. It was once I emailed having to threaten legal action (which is very out of character for me, but desperate times come for desperate measures) that they responded via email communicating they were still searching for her (Feb. 14th at this point). The following week I was called to be told that her body was found, but the package that I requested with her nose print and paw print could not be fulfilled because they did not feel âconfidentâ in it. I have been left to believe this is either due to their fire, or that they left her body unfound for so long that it decomposed to the point that these keepsakes could not be recovered. Once again, I AM GUTTED. I am disgusted at the lack of transparency, not even explaining to me the reasoning behind this. Playing phone tag for almost two months at this point left me not even able to ask any more questions. I finally received my babyâs ashes yesterday (Feb. 23rd) and am thankful for all of this to be over with. I never could have imagine my sweet baby Mistyâs initial death, and with that newly found grief being any worse. But truly was this was the cherry on top. I will never recommend this business to anyone I know. I will never return regardless of hearing others success stories. I was robbed of my peace of mind with her death ending this way. There were so many different ways this could have been handled. I am still in such disbelief this even happened.

Really disappointed. Heavens Pets received our baby and we still have not heard any news about him. We were never notified about the fire and never given any information other than what they posted on facebook. This is completely outrageous! We trusted you with your babies and you seem to not care. How can you continue to accept new cilents when you canât deal with those of us whose pets you have? This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

I cannot say enough good about this place. I was in New Orleans my last few days working at the racetrack when my Aussie Lolly died. I had no place to bury her here so I sought pet cremation services. We were received with utmost consideration and compassion and I could tell the staff genuinely cared for their clients and felt their sense of loss. My thanks to the lovely young lady who worked with us to make sure that everything was as we wanted and again expressed her sympathy when I picked up Lolly's cremains and effects. Even though I'm a veterinarian and have had pets my whole life this was my first time seeking pet cremation and I'm grateful for their service.

As it wasn't bad enough that I watched my mom go into a depression after losing our cat that bonded to her but Hells Pets..I mean Heaven Pets let her down more and I'm the one who has to hear her crying in her room all the time. None of the employees want to return her calls when she wants to find out if he was found and what does she need to do to come get him. This is a sorry place that does not care about the pets or the parents but yet they are money hungry still taking pets tocremate. No body wants to take accountability but you reap what you sow and what's done in the dark always come out in the light. Do not send your let's to this place. They have a pet cremation in Harvey and Slidell. These people are heartless and money is the root of all evil.. ain't that right Hells Pets?! Yeah... I went there . I have not been able to reach them but I need a refund. I received no services from this pathetic business. All I asked for was a call back and a refund. Let me begin by saying this, my dog was adopted 10 years ago after being told I couldn't have children. She was my baby and her death was not something that I expected so soon so when we found out she would be passing we took it upon ourselves to research crematoriums because we always said that when she passed we would want her forever home with us. I called and spoke with many different services and a lot of them treated it like just a business, just another day but not Heaven's Pets. From the moment the receptionist answered the phone I was made to feel like my baby's life mattered, that my grieving mattered. The kindness shown to us made it a just a tad less difficult to make arrangements for our sweet Isabelle. The receptionist called us to let us know that her remains arrived safely and that they would take good care of her. The process was fast. They picked her up on Tuesday and she was back with us by Thursday at noon. They offered so much more than just cremation. They made a print of her paw, a certificate of cremation, poems personalized with our baby's name, they drove an hour to pick her up and an hour to drop her off, her urn is standard but beautiful nonetheless. Thanks you Heaven's Paws for making this incredibly painful loss just a little more bareable. Thank you for showing us kindness and caring for her remains. I will recommend this business to my friends if they ever lose their fur babies.

Most incredible service and staff!! Being new to the area I had no idea who to contact after my 19 year old, Xena (92yr cat years) passed away at home. I called our vet they had no hesitation to contact Heavens Pets. I called very sympathetic staff, made arrangements, they came to house went through everything in detail again in person. They brought a lovely big basket lined with faux fur, placed Xena in basket, asked 1 more time if I wanted anything to go with her. We choose the private cremation. 3 days later they called to bring her back. Exactly as agreed, carved box, sealed ashes, lock of hair, paw print, documents, poems, etc. Wonderful services for a really fair cost!!

Heavenâs Pets did a wonderful job helping us honor and remember our dog, Sarah. We had to meet someone after hours and they were very kind and sympathetic for our loss. We were able to pick her up just a few days later and everything was beautifully done and presented. Losing a pet is never easy, but Heavenâs Pet helped make the process less burdensome.

I live in Alabama and only in the area for a couple months. My dog Angel had to be put down. The vet told me about Heavens Pets. They called me after they picked her up and after talking with them I knew I chose the right place. I think they are very compassionate and took very good care of her. I got her ashes, paw prints, and nose print back yesterday and was so happy with everything they did.

My cat passed away on February 28th. I had no idea about the fire until I looked on google. This place was offered through my vet. If I had taken the time to look this place up I would have probably sent my cat somewhere else after reading the reviews and from my own personal experience as of now. It is now March 13th and I have not heard any word from this place. When you call, you get an answering machine which I find very insensitive to grieving pet owners. I am so sorry for all the pet owners who lost their babies in the fire. I know you want your babies home. I am hoping and praying that I will be able to have my baby back home with me soon and I hear back from a live human.Update: I received a phone call back today about my cat. However the lady who returned my call was very rude. Thankful to be able to get my catâs remains but not happy with this place and their customer service. Do better.

The epitome of shady business practices. Taking HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS from people for a service they cannot provide and not offering a refund, is theft. They have shown us nothing besides how much they don't care about the grieving families and only care about the money.To the owners, if you're reading this,YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.You have caused a lot of hurt to already grieving families by going silent when asked about our pets. You did not prioritize the pets you lost in the fire, you just continued to do business at a different location.You turned off comments, messaging, and refuse to return phone calls. We're not mad that your business caught on fire, we're mad that you gaslight us into believing that our babies were coming home so you didn't have to refund everyone all at once.You are heartless.

My dog passed away on the 16th of January 2024 and was brought to Heaven's pets for cremation.We our chased the platinum package as we wanted our dog to have the best cremation that they offered including a nose print some fur or paw print and a beautiful urn.Here we are in January30th and still.my dog hasn't been returned to us with proper treatment.After this experience I can honestly say it was a very horrible insensitive place to deal with that showed no caring about my animal and our wishes with him and uses an answering service rather than an individual to speak with at the place because the answering service gives them the message I'm sure but they never seem to want to return the call.

They donât even deserve one star. I highly do not recommend. My pup passed on the feb 6th an I didnât get her back until almost a month. If I would have known the extent of how long extra. I would have brought my business elsewhere. I asked for her last tooth a they said they couldnât do it. So I had told the vet. And there was just no communication between the vet and heavens pets to ensure I got what was requested. Her ink nose print is horrible. Plus they gave me her remains in the wrong urn!! I asked if there was anything they can do to reimburse me for what was supposed to be an easy a very memorable an meaningful process. But instead it was the exact opposite. They didnât do right by my muffy or myself.To my surprise nothing was done.Your babies deserve better than this. Muffy was like my child she was almost 20 I got her when I was 8. Just a reference to show how much she meant to me an was part of my life for so long. My heart hurts from the situation. An I just want everyone else to get the best care for their babies.

Professional and friendly services during a very emotional time. Representatives were responsive and walked you through the process. They picked up our baby at the vet and brought her back in two days after the cremation process. The urn was beautiful along with the hair clippings and paw/nose print. You can tell they really took care because our dog had a very distinctive black spot on her head and they preserved it without even asking. Highly recommend Heavenâs Pets.

Extremely pleased with the service provided. I have been a wreck since I had to put my baby to sleep earlier this week. Heaven's Pets transported her from the pet hospital in Baton Rouge to their facility and called me to ensure what service I would like (private cremation) as well as the options that come with the service. I was a blubbering mess and the woman I spoke with was so kind and understanding. They returned the remains to the pet hospital and called me when she was there and I was able to pick her up today. Everything is so beautifully done and put together. Thanks to Heaven's Pets I have finally begun to find some peace. I could not be more grateful for their service!

It was already a nightmare that my cat died and a horror movie that came in real life when Heavens Pets caught on fire. My cat is STILL NOT FOUND AND STILL NO ANSWERS! If you are looking for a place to respectfully assist with your pet's final arrangements, this place is absolutely first-rate in service and care. When I lost my beloved friend on August 22nd, I knew I wanted her to have a respectful end-of-life treatment. I have heard horror stories from other pet owners that used inferior methods or services, but I can say my expectations were completely met if not exceeded by Heaven's Pets. I worked with Althea, who helped me walk through every step of the process without difficulty or impatience. She was incredibly kind and understanding, and reassured me that the process was secure and respectful every step of the way. I have no doubt that the ashes I received back were those of my sweet girl; the paw print keepsake is something I will treasure for years to come. Top Notch! I have had 2 private cremation/viewing services here. They are very respectful, placing my beloved pets on a beautifully arranged table that was set up for the viewing. It was lined with satin and velvet, my pets always looked like they were just peaceful and sleeping. They never rushed me, and they are always checking to make sure that things are done in the manner that I wanted . Some history as to why I use Heavens pets.: When they first opened and built the first columbarium, I purchased a niche for my 2 beloved cats. I was living in an apartment after Katrina and didn't have a permanent place to bury my pets when their time came so that is why I purchased the niche. I am very please with how they have handled each of the cremations I have had there.They are very accommodating. I requested permission to have a Jazz funeral for my first pet and they were more than happy to assist me with any arrangements for the Jazz funeral. Give them a call before you actually need to use the service and it will help greatly when the time comes to use them.

thank you heaven's pets. my cat was transported to them from the emergency vet in mandville. i spoke with deya on the phone and she made sure that all of my wishes were fulfilled for my boy. he passed on monday and is ready for pickup on friday on a holiday week. thank you deya and everyone who took care of my litle guy while he was there. hopefully i wont speak to you all for a while, but when it is time, i know who is taking care of my four legged family from now on.

I have had amazing experiences with Heaven's Pets. I won't go anywhere else in Southern Louisiana whenever the dreaded day comes when my other two kitties pass. Initially I was very saddened and disappointed to report that I had to call Heavenly Pets to inquire about the status of my cat's remains as I had received no notice from my Veterinary office that the items promised after cremation had not yet been returned to them by Heavenly Pets after more than two weeks since my pet was euthanized. When I made that call (week of Feb 17, 2020) I was informed the items would be available early the following week (2+ weeks after they had received the remains). I am now angry and upset that after receiving no further communication I have again called Heavenly Pets today (March 6, 2020!) to inquire and have been told the animal was cremated on Feb 19 but the paperwork still has not been completed and the items should be delivered to my Veterinary office NEXT week. I truly feel their service has been so poor and the responses from them so inadequate that I am compelled to share this horrible treatment to inform others what they may expect from this organization to avoid the additional worry they have caused after having lost a dear pet. I truly feel my payment to them should be returned but after mentioning that possibility they responded "they are sorry I feel that way". Perhaps prodding from the Better Business Bureau is my only option to make them feel the remorse I am certainly feeling.

Upon initial outreach, I was so comforted by the care and concern the staff took in the delicate and timely manner in which my baby was taken care of. Despite feeling pressured to commit to etching on the name plate for my dog, I was very pleased with the beginning of my experience. The staff were so caring and had great bedside manner. I was very impressed that I recieved a courtesy call when my baby was ready to be picked up at my vet.Sadly, that changed when I picked up my baby without a name plate, and had expected that special touch to be there. I called Heaven's Pets about this; rude, defensive customer service could not have been further from what I expected as a grieving pet parent. I could have sworn I heard someone call me "crazy" under their breath on the phone.I'm sad that I only have smudged paw prints (caused by "hair" and "cheeks") and silicone imprints covered in gunk from dirty paws left of my baby. They didn't take the time to cut back enough of my dogs fur to get good molds. Disappointing.

If youâve lost a fur baby, this is the place to take them. The staff at Heavenâs Pets are some of the most caring, loving, compassionate and supportive people I have ever met. They truly care and they listen, this isnât just a job for them like a lot of other places. They treated my family and myself like as if we were their family. We lost our dog just this past Tuesday and weâve been completely devastated and lost. They were very sensitive to our feelings and helped us through the entire process, giving us lots of options and comfort through it all. They are absolutely angels and I thank god for them, especially during this difficult time.

I too must complain about the treatment after the fire. A business suffering a fire can be a challenge to come back from. This business handled soo much wrong. I was only called and notified after I called them and left a message. All I kept getting was, sorry for your loss and we don't have any information for you, at this time. The owner posted on Facebook that they had access to the building and would begin to contact people. Only to post weeks later that they had only partial access and finally gained full access to the building. How about some transparency for grieving pet owners. We lost our pet twice,. They contacted me as to any identifying scars or marks to identify our pet. I answered back, only for them to go silent on me after two weeks. This is a lack of caring from a business built on caring. I will be sure to never use this persons business (Jenifer Melius, Patrick McCausland)or anything they are affiliated with. They could have gathered up all the remains and cremated them, and created a monument to put the ashes in. This could have been in a garden area with seating for the pet owners to visit. The names of the lost pets could have been on the monument. But instead they handled everything with a lack of caring and compassion for the people that were grieving. I waited to post this and give them some time to do the right thing and they chose not to.

While we used Heavenâs Pets under sad circumstances, I was very impressed and pleased with how Heavenâs Pets took care of our family. I honestly could not recommend them higher. Several years ago, I had received some mailers from them, and in June, I had a great informational call with Althea, and was able to ask a lot of questions about how I wanted to remember my dog. I was able to complete a pre-arrangement plan for when he did pass, and I felt that it gave me some peace of mind. They donât require payment until your pet passes, and thereâs no discount for paying in advance. I also felt relieved that they would pick up my dog from the vetâs office (within 90 miles I think) of their office.I was not aware that you could hold your own service for your beloved pet as part of the private viewing-when I opted for the private viewing, frankly, it was just for peace of mind that I was getting him back. When other friends or family have cremated their pets, they usually just picked up the cremains from the vetsâ office a few days later, and Iâd never even heard of a private viewing. Truthfully though, this was one of the best decisions that I could have made because I was able to prepare music, flowers, and a service. If I wanted to bring other people, pets, or even children, I could have. (I didnât feel like the website wasnât as clear on this point too, so thatâs why I wanted to include it here too). The private viewings are scheduled for 8am so that you can receive your petâs remains before their close of business the same day. You can also bring items to be cremated along with your pet (like toys or blankets), but we decided to cremate just him (and store those items in his urn). Deja was very thorough in explaining this to me, and couldnât have been nicer as I was crying.On Tuesday, Althea and Mark could not have been kinder to us, and were so thorough. Althea went through what I had pre-planned, and made sure I understood exactly what I was going to receive (because once your loved one is cremated, there isnât any way to get additional paw or nose prints, or fur clippings). She is extremely detail oriented and professional, and thoroughly explained what to expect. We agreed that we would hold our private ceremony first, and then Mark would come in to take his paw and nose prints, as well as his fur clipping. I was grateful for the opportunity to pray over my dog, and speak loving words to him. They never rushed us, and our ceremony took about an hour.When Mark came in to take his nose and paw prints, he did a few practice ones first, and I received them when I picked up my dogâs urn later that day. He was so gentle with my dog, and handled him so lovingly. Iâm not sure who prepared my dog, but he was brought to us on a rolling cart with a pillow and blankets-he really just looked like he was sleeping. It was actually pretty beautiful, and I was grateful for the care they had given him. They really did a wonderful job.When it came time for the actual cremation, Mark was thorough again in explaining what to expect, just like Althea had been. We had the option of staying the whole time (which would have been a few hours), or leaving shortly after we watched him be placed in the crematorium. We opted for the latter, and they bring you a laptop to watch. Even watching Mark place our dog gently in the oven was actually a healing experience.Altogether, we were at Heavenâs Pets from 8-10:30am, and I received a call around 2:30 from Carolyn telling me that we could come by to pick him up. They close at 4:30, and again, Althea couldnât have been nicer when she gave me the bag with his items.Again, we couldnât have had a nicer experience at Heavenâs Pets, and my family and I are so grateful for their services. Even though it has been a very sad 2 weeks since we lost our dog, I sincerely believe that Heavenâs Pets and their services helped us start the healing process. We will forever be grateful to them for how kind, professional, and loving they were to us during a very difficult period.

dealing with Heavenâs pets has been awful. iâve never had to put a pet down & my vet recommended them when i said i wanted him to be cremated. he was a small rat & died on January 12th. Heavenâs Pets took him in January 13th & they called me asking what package i wanted and i paid and everything but then the fire happened. i wasnât even called about the fire i had to find out on my own after i was worried that i havenât had a call from them to get his ashes. they told me about it and that i would get him but it would take time as they try to find out if everyoneâs petâs bodies were okay. iâve called many times and always gotten vague answers & then ended up getting refunded. when i asked why i was refunded, they told me they refunded everyone because of the fire. weeks went by and i still hadnât been called to redo paying for his cremation/urn/impressions. i emailed them saying i wanted them to send his body to my vet because i want to go with another cremation place & now im being avoided. theyâve contacted my vet and said i needed to identify his body (which is odd to me if he was suppose to be in their system already) but wonât respond to me anymore. iâve called and left messages with their automatic answering services and emails. im fearing that iâll never get his body back. they donât care about anything but their reputation but thatâs going in the gutter now as they have hurt many people during this hard time. instead of being honest, theyâve beat around the bush with people. i wouldnât recommend this place to anyone.

I am terribly disgusted at the way Heaven's Pets has treated the families of beloved pets, that were in their care during the recent fire. Grieving families called, emailed, visited in person and were never given any information on the disposition of their pet. These families were put through horrific trauma, by a company that continued business as usual, collecting bodies of deceased pets, like nothing ever happened, while these other families were begging for answers. I have used Heaven's Pets for 3 of my pets, but I will never use them again.

This place is terrible . We as pet owners understand that there was a fire . But this place is not concerned for our deceased animals. I spoke to someone today who stated they have close to 1000 deceased animals there . Instead of doing disaster recovery , they are still accepting newly deceased animals and they have plans to start cremating those newly deceased animals. The priority should have been the animals that were already there . But no they want money . We want justice for our dog and all the other pets . If this were there pets would he feel the same way . As a multiple pet owner, I sadly know that for each pet that comes into your life and you rescue or offer a home to, will pass, sometimes as quickly and unexpectedly as they entered your life.Ms. Althea and the entire staff, that I have spoken with or met, at Heaven's Pets have ALWAYS been compassionate and made me feel as though each pet that I brought to them was the only pet and best pet in the world, while I was there. I am sure that many others have had the same care and experience.The paradox of having pets is that we take them in as our lifelong companions, usually for their life span, not our own, thus, we grieve for them as deeply, if not more than when we greeted their entrance into our lives.Oh how much richer our lives are for having them in our lives. Terrible customer service!!! My deceased pet was received by them on June 9. I was informed that my petâs engraved urn would take 7-10 days since I requested it to be engraved. I emailed requesting updates on June 23 and June 26 to no answer. I called June 29 and left 2 messages with no return call. At this point I believed they lost my petâs remains. I called the funeral home that they are on the property of to connect me directly to someone at heavens pets. Finally get someone on the phone from heavens pets and they tell my July 4th holiday which is almost 30 days later will delay the delivery of the my pets urn. Today July 17 still no call or email from them for the urn I purchased on June 9. This is so unprofessional and has made the death of our pet an even more tragic event.

Losing a pet is truly one of the most heart wrenching experiences. When Freddy, our pet cat of nearly 19 years passed away recently, it was hard enough to cope with the grief much less complete arrangements. Thankfully i connected with Heavens Pets. Even though he passed late on a Saturday evening, within an hour they came to pick him up and took him to their facility at LakeLawn for a private cremation. They contacted me prior to the cremation to review the information of Freddy's life for his certificate, as well as offered me choices for paw prints and his Urn. Althea is to be commended for her sensitivity and professionalism in helping make the arrangements. She was very kind and helpful throughout the process. I am so glad that i gave Freddy a proper private service to honor his status as loved family member, and i can not stress enough how much i recommend Heavens Pets for your pets final arrangements as well.

They are wonderful! They came and picked up my baby in an SUV and took care of everything. They talked me through my options and were so compassionate. They have lots of options for memory jewelry, paw prints, and urns. They also put some of the ashes in a hollow pendant I took to them. At such a difficult time of having to deal with the loss of your beloved family member, Heaven's Pets was attentive and kept me informed. They returned "Sammy" to his Vet and I was able to pick him up there. I didn't know what to expect. This was the first time I had to euthanize a pet of my own. Upon returning home, I pulled out the paperwork and inside was a lovely card with his Paw Print and a little see through bag with some of his hair. When I got up the nerve I opened the beautifully carved wooden box and was pleasantly surprised at the presentation. I cut down the card until it fit in the top of the box and added the pouch of hair and closed it for now. I am at peace that he is no longer suffering and that he was truly well taken care of until the very end. I don't write reviews as a rule. It usually invites other opinions which I don't care to hear. I read some of the other comments and I hope you realize you are dealing with grieving parents. My dog passed away and was taken to our veterinarians office. Our veterinarian recommended this for us as my big boy was a son to me it was only right to give him a proper send off. The staff was great and very helpful through the process. After he was cremated they sent him to my veterinarians office where I picked him up and it was much more than I expected! Included in the standard package was nothing standard at all...he was returned to me in a beautiful sturdy wooden urn, an ink print of his nose and paw, a resource guide with numbers and groups for grieving the loss of a pet, a beautiful poem, a lock of his fur, a certificate of death and many other items. This was a very difficult time of my life because my dog was with me For 10 years of mine and my daughters life. He meant the world to me and it was such a beautiful memorial for him to be remembered. I cried all over again once I opened the bag and seen the lock of hair and his nose and paw print. It helped me to grieve the loss of my baby boy and also gave me comfort knowing I could take him back home with me!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I am one to be very understanding, especially in such unforeseen circumstances. My baby Misty passed away Jan. 6th, and was brought to Heavens Pets by Jan. 9th. She could have been cremated days before their fire. I heard about the incident from Facebook, which was just as gut wrenching as her death already. To think of my poor baby dying, not once, but basically twice. And the second time in such an awful way, haunts me. I called very sparingly due to empathy of the entire situation, with no call in return. But it was when I finally recieved a call that they only had the question of what she even looked like that gutted me once again. I just didnât seem to understand how there was little to no documentation of this information. I may be misinformed of how bad the fire was, but it seemed that they were able to take in new animals as soon as they opened back up, so obviously it didnât damage all their computer systems ?? Which is where my babyâs information should have been held. So they call asking for what she looked like, which I then suggested the idea of sending pictures of her to help. I never received an email or phone response confirming of getting the pictures. I called a few times with no response, just sent directly to their answering desk to take a message. It was once I emailed having to threaten legal action (which is very out of character for me, but desperate times come for desperate measures) that they responded via email communicating they were still searching for her (Feb. 14th at this point). The following week I was called to be told that her body was found, but the package that I requested with her nose print and paw print could not be fulfilled because they did not feel âconfidentâ in it. I have been left to believe this is either due to their fire, or that they left her body unfound for so long that it decomposed to the point that these keepsakes could not be recovered. Once again, I AM GUTTED. I am disgusted at the lack of transparency, not even explaining to me the reasoning behind this. Playing phone tag for almost two months at this point left me not even able to ask any more questions. I finally received my babyâs ashes yesterday (Feb. 23rd) and am thankful for all of this to be over with. I never could have imagine my sweet baby Mistyâs initial death, and with that newly found grief being any worse. But truly was this was the cherry on top. I will never recommend this business to anyone I know. I will never return regardless of hearing others success stories. I was robbed of my peace of mind with her death ending this way. There were so many different ways this could have been handled. I am still in such disbelief this even happened.

Really disappointed. Heavens Pets received our baby and we still have not heard any news about him. We were never notified about the fire and never given any information other than what they posted on facebook. This is completely outrageous! We trusted you with your babies and you seem to not care. I cannot say enough good about this place. I was in New Orleans my last few days working at the racetrack when my Aussie Lolly died. I had no place to bury her here so I sought pet cremation services. We were received with utmost consideration and compassion and I could tell the staff genuinely cared for their clients and felt their sense of loss. My thanks to the lovely young lady who worked with us to make sure that everything was as we wanted and again expressed her sympathy when I picked up Lolly's cremains and effects. As it wasn't bad enough that I watched my mom go into a depression after losing our cat that bonded to her but Hells Pets..I mean Heaven Pets let her down more and I'm the one who has to hear her crying in her room all the time. None of the employees want to return her calls when she wants to find out if he was found and what does she need to do to come get him. This is a sorry place that does not care about the pets or the parents but yet they are money hungry still taking pets tocremate. No body wants to take accountability but you reap what you sow and what's done in the dark always come out in the light. Do not send your let's to this place. They have a pet cremation in Harvey and Slidell. These people are heartless and money is the root of all evil.. ain't that right Hells Pets?! Yeah... I went there . Let me begin by saying this, my dog was adopted 10 years ago after being told I couldn't have children. She was my baby and her death was not something that I expected so soon so when we found out she would be passing we took it upon ourselves to research crematoriums because we always said that when she passed we would want her forever home with us. I called and spoke with many different services and a lot of them treated it like just a business, just another day but not Heaven's Pets. From the moment the receptionist answered the phone I was made to feel like my baby's life mattered, that my grieving mattered. The kindness shown to us made it a just a tad less difficult to make arrangements for our sweet Isabelle. The receptionist called us to let us know that her remains arrived safely and that they would take good care of her. The process was fast. They picked her up on Tuesday and she was back with us by Thursday at noon. They offered so much more than just cremation. They made a print of her paw, a certificate of cremation, poems personalized with our baby's name, they drove an hour to pick her up and an hour to drop her off, her urn is standard but beautiful nonetheless. Thanks you Heaven's Paws for making this incredibly painful loss just a little more bareable. Thank you for showing us kindness and caring for her remains. I will recommend this business to my friends if they ever lose their fur babies.

Most incredible service and staff!! Being new to the area I had no idea who to contact after my 19 year old, Xena (92yr cat years) passed away at home. I called our vet they had no hesitation to contact Heavens Pets. I called very sympathetic staff, made arrangements, they came to house went through everything in detail again in person. They brought a lovely big basket lined with faux fur, placed Xena in basket, asked 1 more time if I wanted anything to go with her. We choose the private cremation. 3 days later they called to bring her back. Exactly as agreed, carved box, sealed ashes, lock of hair, paw print, documents, poems, etc. Wonderful services for a really fair cost!!

I wanna thank Heavens Pets for making me feel better when I went to pay for cremation For Lucy, They are really affordable $150 for a private cremate, comes with a wooden box and a ink paw print on paper that you can frame from your animal.âąLosing Lucy was losing so many pieces of myself she was my first child and always will be. That day I came here I was so hurt and the lady there made me feel so much better and they had a dog there to he was so sweet made me feel nice seeing a sweet dog there. Knew they were animal lovers.âąâąCome here itâs your best option for your fur baby. I am still broken hearted at times but I know my girl is free & in peace thank you heavens pets.

This place was overall really great. I called outside of their normal hours and someone still answered and assured me someone would call when they opened at 8:30. I received a call right around this time. They were prompt in seeing me shortly after they called and took care of my pet very respectfully. I declined any of the extra things (fur clippings. paw/nose prints, an urn) but I thought it was really lovely that they offered them.The only reason I'm rating 4 out of 5 is because there was a live dog in the lobby when I arrived who greeted me and was getting excited/smelling at the box I had brought my dead dog in as I walked by. I also found the presence of a dog to be somewhat upsetting given the circumstances. Some people may have found the presence of a dog comforting I guess but I would have preferred for it not to be out front.

They took our cat then gave us different rates for cremation than what we were told originally. I called to retrieve my cat for a burial and they gave me an address that didnât exist. I tried calling to get a correct address and a got a forwarding service. Left them a message and they never called me back.When they finally got back to me they were threatening to press animal cruelty charges if I didnât come get the remains that they never gave mr a chance to come get.

She was unfamiliar with the situation at hand and kept interrupting me when I was asking questions about the status of my dog. Mark was good, Deya should not be dealing with fragile people.

Don't use this service!I Never received my cat's paw print in ceramic and I never received his little tufts of fur. I have called 2 days in a row. They take my name and number, but no one has returned my phone calls. It's next week and I still haven't gotten a call back. I'll keep trying. But now I don't have those things to remember my pet by. I wouldn't recommend this service.

Iâm very frustrated by their lack of communication after the fire. Today marks 12 days since they received my dog for cremation and Iâm still in the dark about what happened to him. This is very disrespectful to the pet families that they claim to care so much about!

Heavens Pets are great. Before Peanut was cremated they called and verified all the information that the Vet gave was correct. They gave us the options of paw and nose prints. Losing a pet is difficult for anyone.. but especially when your pets are your family and your children. Having no other family losing my dog was devastating, and heavens pets in metairie were more than there for me. Their staff is amazing .. understanding.. patient.. helpful.. i wish i had individual names to add here but even when i was short secondary to no sleep and deep depression they were totally patient, helpful and respectful. They completely understand and do everything they possibly can to ease your pain and help you through it. I can't say enough good things or recommend them enough. I don't wish the pain of losing a loved pet on anyone but i absolutely recommend heavens pets to help you find closure and a lasting memory.

Professional and friendly services during a very emotional time. Representatives were responsive and walked you through the process. They picked up our baby at the vet and brought her back in two days after the cremation process. The urn was beautiful along with the hair clippings and paw/nose print. You can tell they really took care because our dog had a very distinctive black spot on her head and they preserved it without even asking. Highly recommend Heavenâs Pets.

Extremely pleased with the service provided. I have been a wreck since I had to put my baby to sleep earlier this week. Heaven's Pets transported her from the pet hospital in Baton Rouge to their facility and called me to ensure what service I would like (private cremation) as well as the options that come with the service. I was a blubbering mess and the woman I spoke with was so kind and understanding. They returned the remains to the pet hospital and called me when she was there and I was able to pick her up today. When I lost my beloved friend on August 22nd, I knew I wanted her to have a respectful end-of-life treatment. Top Notch! I have had 2 private cremation/viewing services here. They are very respectful, placing my beloved pets on a beautifully arranged table that was set up for the viewing. It was lined with satin and velvet, my pets always looked like they were just peaceful and sleeping. They never rushed me, and they are always checking to make sure that things are done in the manner that I wanted . Some history as to why I use Heavens pets.: When they first opened and built the first columbarium, I purchased a niche for my 2 beloved cats. I was living in an apartment after Katrina and didn't have a permanent place to bury my pets when their time came so that is why I purchased the niche. I am very please with how they have handled each of the cremations I have had there.They are very accommodating. I requested permission to have a Jazz funeral for my first pet and they were more than happy to assist me with any arrangements for the Jazz funeral. Give them a call before you actually need to use the service and it will help greatly when the time comes to use them.

thank you heaven's pets. my cat was transported to them from the emergency vet in mandville. i spoke with deya on the phone and she made sure that all of my wishes were fulfilled for my boy. he passed on monday and is ready for pickup on friday on a holiday week. thank you deya and everyone who took care of my litle guy while he was there. hopefully i wont speak to you all for a while, but when it is time, i know who is taking care of my four legged family from now on.

I have had amazing experiences with Heaven's Pets. I won't go anywhere else in Southern Louisiana whenever the dreaded day comes when my other two kitties pass. Initially I was very saddened and disappointed to report that I had to call Heavenly Pets to inquire about the status of my cat's remains as I had received no notice from my Veterinary office that the items promised after cremation had not yet been returned to them by Heavenly Pets after more than two weeks since my pet was euthanized. When I made that call (week of Feb 17, 2020) I was informed the items would be available early the following week (2+ weeks after they had received the remains). I am now angry and upset that after receiving no further communication I have again called Heavenly Pets today (March 6, 2020!) to inquire and have been told the animal was cremated on Feb 19 but the paperwork still has not been completed and the items should be delivered to my Veterinary office NEXT week. I truly feel their service has been so poor and the responses from them so inadequate that I am compelled to share this horrible treatment to inform others what they may expect from this organization to avoid the additional worry they have caused after having lost a dear pet. I truly feel my payment to them should be returned but after mentioning that possibility they responded "they are sorry I feel that way". Perhaps prodding from the Better Business Bureau is my only option to make them feel the remorse I am certainly feeling.

Worst experience ever! My dog was hit by a car and someone was kind enough to pick him up and bring them to med vet on causeway, he passed on the way there and they said heavens pets would take care of him, we wanted him cremated and the lady called the next day and was very nice and took all my info and told me how everything works I paid by phone on wed. They said he would be ready friday never received a phone call or anything so I was out of town for work I get back today and the lady gets on the phone before I can tell her what was going on I was rudely cut off and asked what's the pets name and I tell her and I tell her I was supposed to be called 5 days ago and no response but hold on put me on hold comes back and says he's here and you were called friday! When I say I was wasn't she says it's marked here you were called! Never dealt with such poor customer service or inconsiderate person in a long time I would use this place again if it was the last place on earth. I guess since I'm paid in full they could care less if I get my dog or not!

Losing a pet is truly one of the most heart wrenching experiences. When Freddy, our pet cat of nearly 19 years passed away recently, it was hard enough to cope with the grief much less complete arrangements. Thankfully i connected with Heavens Pets. Even though he passed late on a Saturday evening, within an hour they came to pick him up and took him to their facility at LakeLawn for a private cremation. They contacted me prior to the cremation to review the information of Freddy's life for his certificate, as well as offered me choices for paw prints and his Urn. Althea is to be commended for her sensitivity and professionalism in helping make the arrangements. She was very kind and helpful throughout the process. I am so glad that i gave Freddy a proper private service to honor his status as loved family member, and i can not stress enough how much i recommend Heavens Pets for your pets final arrangements as well.

They are wonderful! They came and picked up my baby in an SUV and took care of everything. They talked me through my options and were so compassionate. They have lots of options for memory jewelry, paw prints, and urns. They also put some of the ashes in a hollow pendant I took to them. At such a difficult time of having to deal with the loss of your beloved family member, Heaven's Pets was attentive and kept me informed. They returned "Sammy" to his Vet and I was able to pick him up there. I didn't know what to expect. This was the first time I had to euthanize a pet of my own. Upon returning home, I pulled out the paperwork and inside was a lovely card with his Paw Print and a little see through bag with some of his hair. When I got up the nerve I opened the beautifully carved wooden box and was pleasantly surprised at the presentation. I cut down the card until it fit in the top of the box and added the pouch of hair and closed it for now. I am at peace that he is no longer suffering and that he was truly well taken care of until the very end. I don't write reviews as a rule. It usually invites other opinions which I don't care to hear. I read some of the other comments and I hope you realize you are dealing with grieving parents. My dog passed away and was taken to our veterinarians office. Our veterinarian recommended this for us as my big boy was a son to me it was only right to give him a proper send off. The staff was great and very helpful through the process. After he was cremated they sent him to my veterinarians office where I picked him up and it was much more than I expected! Included in the standard package was nothing standard at all...he was returned to me in a beautiful sturdy wooden urn, an ink print of his nose and paw, a resource guide with numbers and groups for grieving the loss of a pet, a beautiful poem, a lock of his fur, a certificate of death and many other items. This was a very difficult time of my life because my dog was with me For 10 years of mine and my daughters life. He meant the world to me and it was such a beautiful memorial for him to be remembered. I cried all over again once I opened the bag and seen the lock of hair and his nose and paw print. It helped me to grieve the loss of my baby boy and also gave me comfort knowing I could take him back home with me!

This place was overall really great. I called outside of their normal hours and someone still answered and assured me someone would call when they opened at 8:30. I received a call right around this time. They were prompt in seeing me shortly after they called and took care of my pet very respectfully. I declined any of the extra things (fur clippings. paw/nose prints, an urn) but I thought it was really lovely that they offered them.The only reason I'm rating 4 out of 5 is because there was a live dog in the lobby when I arrived who greeted me and was getting excited/smelling at the box I had brought my dead dog in as I walked by. I also found the presence of a dog to be somewhat upsetting given the circumstances. Some people may have found the presence of a dog comforting I guess but I would have preferred for it not to be out front.

They took our cat then gave us different rates for cremation than what we were told originally. I called to retrieve my cat for a burial and they gave me an address that didnât exist. I tried calling to get a correct address and a got a forwarding service. Left them a message and they never called me back.When they finally got back to me they were threatening to press animal cruelty charges if I didnât come get the remains that they never gave mr a chance to come get.

She was unfamiliar with the situation at hand and kept interrupting me when I was asking questions about the status of my dog. Mark was good, Deya should not be dealing with fragile people.

Don't use this service!I Never received my cat's paw print in ceramic and I never received his little tufts of fur. I have called 2 days in a row. They take my name and number, but no one has returned my phone calls. It's next week and I still haven't gotten a call back. I'll keep trying. But now I don't have those things to remember my pet by. Especially Carolyn. My Siamese literally saved my life. If I am writing a review for the exceptional handle from beginning to end that I know that cat deserved- this is the company. They were prefect. I do not have kids or a family- so this was my child. She went above and beyond to not only be there for me, but she helped me go through the awful process of picking out URNs. When nothing felt right- she went and called the manufacturers and had them bring in more product. She helped me design his final resting place.
