I can truly say that the Sproles Family Funeral home goes "above and beyond" to give compassionate care to the grieving families that they minister to. Their entire team is amazing! Our family would give 10 stars if it were possible. From the time Tom Sproles came to pick my precious dad up from the hospital where he had passed, to the time of entombment, we felt cared for so beautifully. Everything was efficiently and thoughtfully done. This means so much when you are grieving. Tom Sproles is a family friend, and it helped us as a family to know that we were placing our loved one in his awesome care. He is an excellent communicator, keeping in touch about every detail and giving excellent advice. We loved the thoughtful touches like the warm cookies and hot coffee served as we were discussing plans, the rose and sign left in my dad's church seat, the beautiful photo and lighted key chains with my dad's photo on them...just to name a few. Not a detail was missed and Tom was happy to accommodate all of our many requests to make my dad's celebration of life memorable. We will forever be grateful! We highly recommend the Sproles Family Funeral Services.

I have sat with multiple families as Tom has led them through the planning process. He executes the task with compassion and grace. My Mom passed away May 7, 2020 and because of the wonderful experience we had at Sproles when my mother-in-law passed, Sproles was handling my Mom’s funeral. This was during the pandemic with only 50 people allowed at a time. We have a large family so this was quite a task. They did a wonderful job. The funeral home is compassionate, caring, efficient, thoughtful, and wonderful!! We did not have one complaint!!! They are very great and I thank the Lord for them. They knew what we needed before we knew what we needed. Thank you, Sproles.

Sproles Family Funeral Home handled arrangements for my dad. From the moment my mom and I first met Tom, Sr. and Misty at our home, they were wonderful. David was the funeral director who worked with us, and he was excellent: knowledgeable, patient, responsive, and so kind. His expertise and guidance allowed us to focus on saying goodbye to my dad, rather than worrying about all that needed to happen. My dad's services at the funeral home, St. Anne's, and the cemetery were comforting and beautiful, and Sproles was a big part of how smoothly it all unfolded. Our family recommends Sproles without hesitation, and we are very grateful for their service to our family.

The Sproles Family was excellent. We discovered our Mother had trusted them to pre-plan all her arrangements, which made it very easy on us girls.Even though it was very late in the evening when they were called to the hospital to to take her to their facility, they were very understanding and polite, encouraging us to take all the time we needed.With two of us living out of state, they were flexible with their schedule and kept excellent communication throughout the entire experience.I would highly recommend Sproles Family Funeral Home.

Our father passed away several years ago. We choose Sproles Family Funeral Home to handle his arrangements. They did such a wonderful job that when our mother passed away in December of 2020, we did not have any doubt that they would take care of her arrangements with the same, respect, kindness and quality that they did with our father's. Sproles has a very beautiful, warm and inviting facility with a knowledgeable and caring staff. All of this made those very difficult times for our family much easier.

Tom and his entire staff did an excellent job handling my wife's calling and funeral. It was the most difficult thing my family and I have had to go through, but the care and love we received from Tom and his staff helped us persevere. Their attention to detail was amazing.

On November 17, 2015, our daughter/sister was killed in an automobile accident in South Africa. She was a missionary working with orphan children in Lesotho. Sproles Family Funeral Home was an incredible blessing to us during that time! Tom did an excellent job of coordinating every detail for us including bring her body back here to the U.S.A. Her body arrived here the evening before Thanksgiving and they were able to have her ready for the viewing on Friday afternoon. We were totally amazed how every detail was perfectly taken care for the visitation and funeral. Everyone was so caring and professional. They far exceeded our expectations! Have had other family members taken care of by Sproles. Because of that my Dad specifically asked for them. So when he became terminally ill we went in there for the pre-arrangments. Andrea was very nice and helped my parents out with keeping the cost where they needed it. Unfortunately my Dad passed away 2 weeks later. David handled everything helping us with the final details. He was so nice and compassionate and so kind to my Mom. I can't say enough on how I appreciate them. Thank you making a tough time seem flawless. I highly recommend them.It's been a year now since Dad passed and the Sproles Family still keeps in touch. They sent me a card on Father's letting me know they were thinking of our Family during the first Father's Day without Dad and then again on the Anniversary of his passing. I know David has reached out to my mom a couple of times also. So the after care is there too. They aren't just there during the service they are there for you afterwards if you need them.

Sproles went above and beyond for my family. The week my brother passed was one of the worst weeks of my life, and making all of the necessary arrangements seemed so overwhelming at first. Dave Frederick, the Director, made the process as easy as possible, so that we could focus on our grief. David was excellent to work with and communicate with-he was prepared, friendly, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. The kindness and attention to details were greatly appreciated. In addition to this, David helped my family sort through and file for some death benefits my brother qualified for as a US Marine Corp Veteran that we were unaware of at the time he passed. In addition to that, he helped us set up a memorial fund for my brother's 4 years old daughter. He also came to our home personally to drop of the donations made as well as all of the flowers sent by friends and family. The funeral home itself was immaculate and beautiful. I highly recommend the Sproles Family and personally feel they are the best in the city.

My son passed away nearly four weeks ago. I selected Sproles Familiy Funeral Home randomly because the Coroner's Office in Cincinnati needed to send his body home. When I walked into Sproles .... Tom Sproles met us at the door and that was it .... I knew from that moment that it was the right choice! Tom introduced our family to David Frederick. David took what was so overwhelming and emotional and simplified things for us, therefore, making our decisions a much easier process. He was superior and was there to help in every decision no matter how small. His attention to detail was unsurpassed -- I will always be grateful. Travis looked very handsome and the room and all the arrangements from the calling to the funeral were beyond compare - absolutely perfect! We had many comments about how unique and wonderful they thought his funeral was. David's communication skills were so great -- he knew what he was talking about. So compassionate, caring, and very patient. His knowledge of our son's marine corp. Veteran death benefits were of great help (we did not know he might qualify for something like that) and very appreciated. David and Tom were there for our family in setting up our 4-year-old granddaughter, Olivia's memorial fund -- what a lovely surprise - thank you, we did not anticipate that. David and Tom was certainly there for every need no matter how large or small ... it truly is these little unexpected acts of kindness that are worth more than gold. I can't imagine going anywhere else in New Castle -- the funeral home was so beautiful and well-kept. I would not chose any other now that the secret is out. From the bottom of our hearts .... thank you David, Tom, Jr. and Tom, Sr. and all of the precious Sproles staff for all their warmth and caring through this very difficult time. Your service is impeccable ... your extra attention to all the many details and the many extra things you did will always be remembered and appreciated. Tom Sproles and his staff handled services for two of my grandparents and my sweet wife when she was taken from me in a car accident. I simply do not have words to describe their kindness. They go above and beyond in so many ways. Everything is of highest quality and they think of all the extras grieving family members struggle to remember. They have such a gracious way and bring a caring spiritual dimension to their service. They are NOT just trying to make money. They are very conscious of budgetary limitations. Above all, they were friends to me in the very darkest moments of my life. I can’t say enough.

Tom recently helped me navigate the tragic loss of my son Matt. I can’t imagine doing it without his amazing gift of caring for the broken and helping make such a painful loss a beautiful celebration of my son’s life with such class and organization. I will also add he flew in from a vacation two days early to work with another funeral home. Everything I requested was delivered and more. The experience here was amazing, by far the best. I have spoke highly of Sproles Funeral Home and will highly recommend them to anyone! Any questions or concerns I had, they went above and beyond to answer. I was even given phone numbers to text and always received an immediate response. Payment plans was also available which was wonderful in our time of need. Once again, a wonderful experience in such a sad time for us. I suggest you at least give them a call.
