Funerals are never easy. With that being said Maggie, Savanah and Shawntel go above and beyond to make everything as smooth as possible. I am so thankful for their compassion and grace during our difficult time. Maggie's gift for obituaries is spectacular. She absolutely nailed every aspect of our loved one. We are so thankful for how well our loved one and our family was treated. Thank you Light Memorial for making such a hard and sad time as fun and easy as possible. P.S. they have the most AMAZING puppy, Stanley! But be careful playing with him because before you know it, you'll want one! Thank you again Light Memorial for everything you did for our family. We greatly appreciate your kindness.

The level of service that Maggie gave our family during the time of the loss of our mother, Shirley Parker, was incredible. They strived to meet all of our needs and requests. They are AMAZING in every possible way!!! Unfortunately, my family has had a rough few years but I must say that the love and compassion the staff has for your family is breathtaking! They genuinely care and make sure that everything is just how you want it! They are very professional and a top notch business whom TRULY care about each and every person! From my first phone call to start the arrangements for my wife they made you feel like they cared and they really did. Everyone involved was great to work with. They made the process easy as it could be. They made me and my daughters feel like we were their top priority. Even after the funeral they called to checked up on us. I will always be thankful for them.

I cannot say enough how grateful I am to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel. From the first pre-planning meeting for arrangements throughout the final memorial for Mom, the services provided far exceeded my expectation.The funeral and mortuary business is just that, a business. However, in dealing with the Owner, Savanah Light, I never had the impression that we were dealing with anything other than the compassionate handling of end of life care for my Mom. Every family has different needs. We requested a modest service to reflect the modest lifestyle of our family. There was never a time nor effort to up-sale us on service arrangements during the entire relationship.The memorial service for Mom was beautiful. I was worried that I did not have enough nor give enough information to enable the staff at Light Memorial to do a proper service. I worried for nothing. They prepared a memorial service that dignified my Mom's life and gave great comfort to the surviving family and friends. Savanah led us though the process and gently extracted the information she needed without undue pressure. She handled everything with aplomb and ultimately left us with much needed quiet time to reflect on Mom's life and her passing.I was responsible for making the arrangements for Mom for our family. I can honestly say, Savanah made it feel like all I had to do was show-up. She and her staff are certainly deserving of recognition for providing a premier community service. I hope I can put into words the overwhelming appreciation our family has for the way Light Memorial handled funeral services for our mother. The entire experience was a blessing during this time.From the time we pulled in the parking lot we felt at home with the surrounding corn fields. The building itself is very welcoming with it's cozy fireplace and beautiful decor, there is nothing about it that has the usual "uncomfortable formal" and "floral overkill" in your typical funeral home. But the building is just the beginning. From the minute we made the call to make arrangements to the filing of the last of the paperwork we were treated with care and compassion, it is obvious this is more than just a "job" to Savannah and her staff. Our mother was handled with dignity and respect, we felt we were given appropriate guidance while making arrangements and the attention to the small details and personal touches made a huge impact on the service and our family. The overall experience was comforting and peaceful and we will be forever grateful.

You will not find a more compassionate, helpful, and kind-hearted funeral director than you will find in Savanah Light Blundell. She has taken care of services for 2 of our dear family members, and she continually leaves us speechless at how available, thoughtful, and respectful she and her family are during such devastating loss(es). You can go to her or she will come to you. She walks you through every single step of the process, and makes sure you understand everything. She even has this little gift of picking up on things you say and then doing her best to find some special way to work those things into the service/burial.We cannot say enough about how wonderful Savanah and her entire family have been throughout. So many people were impressed at the visitation and service of our loved one, that they asked us for her contact information to plan their own. We wouldn't have trusted anyone else with our family member. Ultimately, you will want to adopt her into your own family. We have!
