When I lost my cat, my baby boy George, Homeward Bound was there for us. It was my first time losing a pet. When I got there and spoke with Angela, she was so sincere with what she said and how she said it. She told me my baby boy would be treated with love, care, and respect. Right then, I knew I came to the right place and talked to the right people.When I got him back, the urn and engraving work was absolutely beautiful. They went above and beyond, and I feel like he was honored exactly how he lived — incredibly and beautifully 💗 Thank you so much to Angela and the team at Homeward Bound. George is resting on his favorite ledge in the whole house now :)

Homeward Bound is the one and only place we will trust to take care of our fur babies. We’ve been to them with the loss of 2 now and each time we have felt the kindness and authenticity. Angela just recently helped us and was patient, kind, and tried to make us laugh during such a tough time. This place is amazing. I was able to get all 3 of my rats cremated together and put into 1 urn. It turned out beautifully. Angela was so great to deal with and made sure to get every detail to my liking; as well as Heaven who did the awesome engraving. I couldn't have asked for a better memorial of my beloved boys. They were so kind and helpful in a terrible time. They gave us options and made me feel secure trusting my best girl in their care. They even made us extra bookmarks with our favorite photos of her and a keychain with her name on it. I would use their services again and recommend them to anyone!

I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first pet to be cremated. I purchased the services online and then called them. It was after hours and they still answered from home. I opted to bring my pet to them the next business day and they were extremely nice and professional on the phone. I took my pet to them that Monday and they were wonderful. Extremely compassionate and let us spend as much time with our pet to say goodbye as we wanted. A week later and we have our pet's ashes, two bookmarks with pawprints and her hair, a clay pawprint, and a certificate. The wood box urn is beautiful and has her name engraved in it. Everything was very beautiful. They were awesome, and although it's not a situation I want to be in very often at all, they made it as painless as they could. Each person was wonderful. I know they took great care of our beloved Sable.

Perdue large animal hospital recommend them for having my horse cremated. Price was reasonable and they came and picked him up shortly after I called. I talked to Emily who was very helpful through this tough time of grief. I will return when my other horse passes. The only downside is I wish they offered large enough urns for my horse instead of bringing him home in a plastic tote.

Absolutely the most amazing people work here. They are caring, passionate, trustworthy individuals I have ever met. Twice in the last 6 years I had to use their services and both times we was treated with respect. they had so much understanding and patience with us. They explain the process and help you feel as comfortable as possible. I absolutely recommend this place. You won’t find better people to help you through the most difficult time in your life. A 5 star rating is not nearly enough.

We just had our fourth beloved pet memorialized with Homeward Bound on November 17, 2020. The service packages simplify the process and each package has selections to personalize the memory and resting urn of your pet. The staff have always been helpful and sensitive to our losses. They handled our pets with respect when we handed them over and their customer service has been consistent across our experiences. We received a kind follow-up a few weeks later to check-in and send us good thoughts. We're pet people with dogs, a cat, and avian companions, so we're comforted to know Homeward Bound is here when we mourn the passing of another furry or feathered family member.

My son took his dog here that he had since he was in 5th grade. Twin was in our family for over 10 years and he was truly a part of our family. His passing devastated our family and Homeward Bound showed my son so much compassion and sympathy when he dropped off our baby. They promised him he would be returned to him in 7days and he was returned as promised. Thank, Thank to all the staff for all your caring and support for my family especially my son!!! We were On vacation and Lucy was staying with our son when we lost her. Homeward Bound so so wonderful working with my son and calling us to get arrangements made for Lucy. Her paw print and the container she is in is so special. The folder with her fur clippings and how they took care of her was very comforting to know. Great customer service! Johnny was very accommodating to our schedules for picking up a very large python we were devastated to lose & weren’t sure if we’d find anyone to cremate her given she’s not your typical pet. Although they hadn’t cremated a large python before, they were willing to take it on. Prices were good in comparison to other businesses in the area. They were finished in a timely manner and the presentation of the ashes given back was beautiful enough on its own if you couldn’t afford an additional cost for a fancy keepsake.

Great experience!!! My dog was in a tragic accident. They let me bring him in on a Sunday (closed on weekends) to take care of him and proceed with cremation. The package they put together was fantastic and for a great price. A week later my wife bought me a necklace to put a small amount of my 10 year old dogs remains .I did not know how to go about this from my home .I reached out and this company let me bring the urn in and put remains inside the necklace charm at no,cost and resealed the urn. Thank you so much John and your staff! Marley and I are very thankful .

My 13 week old puppy was killed by a pit bull and Johnny helped me to remember my sweet baby by providing excellent customer service first and foremost as I was a crying mess and secondly by placing my sweet baby in a gorgeous urn with his picture and engraved name. We've taken all of our babies here since 2006-7. Total of about 9 fur babies. They've always been very compassionate. Our last one was just 2 mos ago. I'm taking his ashes back in tomorrow, so they can collect some to be embedded in a glass teardrop pendant for me. They have several urns on hand to choose from, and also a magazine to order other urns, custom glass pieces with some ashes in them, tons of necklaces for a small amount of ashes. Metal and glass. It is a private cremation for your loved one, so your baby is not cremated with other people's babies like alot of places do. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and highly recommend them. The only one downside, I wish they didn't change staff so often.

Johnny came to our house and picked up our Sweet Girl Greta around 7:30 on the night she had passed. He was very kind and compassionate given the state I, especially, was in. He was always very prompt at communicating and taking care of any of my requests. I highly recommend this service if you unfortunately need them, since it's such a sad time. Our girl was ready to come back home to us in one week and I fully trusted Johnny with taking care of her during the week she was gone. Thanks Johnny!

It has been 5 months now since I lost my girl Aphroditey and Homeward Bound reached out to me a few days ago. If this doesn't tell you how much they care, I don't know what will. With the care they showed my baby, my sister's dog Dozer, and my parent's dog Bogie, I can assure you that I will never go anywhere else. They put Aphroditey's pawprint on the bookmark without even asking me and that meant the world to me because I wanted a tattoo of her paw print for the longest time and at that time of grief I didn't even think to ask them. They gave me the chance to forever memorialize her in my heart and carry her with me all my days. I would recommend and have recommended them to anyone who has a fur baby that has passed onto the next life. I’ve had several pets ashes prepared by Homeward Bound - 2 cats and a dog. My packages included the cherry wood box with a metal nameplate, bookmarks with my pets photo, paw prints, and hair laminated in the bookmark. The quality, efficiency, and prices of their services is very good. They are very respectful of the customers feelings and expectations. .

I wanted to tell everyone what a great employee Johnny is to this company. He picked up my dog and brought him home ! He has went above and beyond his job. He done extra bookmarks and put some fur and sealed it in plastic for me . He is compassionate and extremely helpful. Our baby Boss was shot and killed 12/29/2020. He was a Rednose Pittbull he was a big baby he had just turned 1 year old 11/05/2020. Homeward Bound made it so easy for us to take care of his Memorial. The woman who attended to me was neither caring nor compassionate, which should be a requirement for someone in this position. She gleefully told me to "have a great day!!!!" as I was walking out the door in tears and devastated over my pet's passing. In addition, she told me my pet's remains would be ready in 5 to 7 business days; I finally had to call them after more than 3 weeks went by with no word from them. Come to find out, the urn I ordered was not in stock but nobody bothered to inform me about the delay or tried to offer an alternative. I would not recommend this business to anyone, they should honestly be ashamed at the way I was treated. My hope is that this review will spare others from the additional grief they caused me.

THANK you to all of the staff. They were there for my family during a difficult time. Our family dog died in the middle of the nite...we didn't know what to do. But the staff took my call at 4am...and helped our Dog Dutch to go to heaven with dignity, love and in style! The package was great and price reasonable. Highly recommend!

We was looking up pet cremations when our beloved dog passed away and thus was the first one to come up. We called them on a Saturday and they made arrangements for us to come in on Sunday, to arrange all the arrangements for our dog . My name is Susan, I have a slew of pets. Each and every one is a member of the family. I'm very sentimental and prefer to keep the remains of my pets because I rent. The general public needs a pet cremation service that is not only affordable but is also very conscientious. Difficult jobs are often met with a bit of callousness. Homeward Bound is the best place ever. My pitbull died friday the 14 0f sept 2018 . She was 14 years old and such a good dog i called them and took her over there . Words can not be said that truly says what I’m feeling. I can say that the sudden loss of my sweet baby boy blue Brantley, is overbearing my daily functions. I feel has if I can’t breathe without him. :(. That being said I want to thank Johnny at home ward bound for the tinder, kind hearted, caring words and seeing the sadness in my eyes. Somehow he made me feel as if he too lost Brantley.. that helped my broken heart knowing I brought him to the best place. I called Homeward Bound to have my best friend, my horse of 30 years cremated. They did a great job and were very respectful. I miss him but thanks to them, at least he's home with me now. :(

Had to put my Boy Blue down on Monday, called monday evening and spoke to Johnny. He made me feel so much better about the whole process. A little ease off a broken heart and shattered soul. He made Blues Obituary and posted it online and had my boy picked up by tuesday. He sent a simple text to let me know he had Blue, which I was beyond greatful for. I am at peace knowing he was at his final resting place in the caring hands of Johnny. He worked with me changing my mind on what package and always reaponded right back to any question I had! Johnny what you did for me these last few days I will never forget and will always be greatful!!! I lost my bestfriend and the one who saved my life that monday and you helped me and guided me in the right direction when I was so lost. I will never forget your kindness. I paid for the Standard package. I got back 2 bookmarks that have barely recognizable "paw prints" of my Cole. The same for the "Clay Paws" imprint. I can barely see the print. Oh!! AND...They left my Cole sit there for over a week before they cremated him and his urn was cracked at the bottom! Take your dog or cat somewhere else. Thank GOD I have pictures and videos of my best friend. I hope he forgives me when I see him again for sending his body to this place.

I took my husbands n mine babygirl gris to get cremated on the 22 of january. We paid. 250.00 and they told us 5 to 7 days. Here it is 10 days later and still nothing. And ive called everyday this week. And each day its a new excuse and oh we doing it today and etc. Her obit still isnt posted. Im very honestly hurt because gris was my husbands best friend and she meant the world too us. Shes our baby. We tried everything so save her buy it was genetic.we couldnt bare just throwing her away shes family and for a place to say they understand And everything i dont gey why they are giving excuse after excuse.

Love this place. I've had 2 snakes cremated and I've had multiple friends that I recommended to have their pets cremated here as well. Colleen is wonderful and I always trust her to take proper care of my pets.

I wanted to tell everyone what a great employee Johnny is to this company. He picked up my dog and brought him home ! He has went above and beyond his job. He done extra bookmarks and put some fur and sealed it in plastic for me . He is compassionate and extremely helpful. You could not ask for kinder, more compassionate people to help you navigate your pet’s aftercare. They were responsive and accommodating, answered all of my questions, and went above and beyond in helping me to memorialize my dog, a member of my family. Our baby Boss was shot and killed 12/29/2020. He was a Rednose Pittbull he was a big baby he had just turned 1 year old 11/05/2020. Homeward Bound made it so easy for us to take care of his Memorial. The woman who attended to me was neither caring nor compassionate, which should be a requirement for someone in this position. She gleefully told me to "have a great day!!!!" as I was walking out the door in tears and devastated over my pet's passing. In addition, she told me my pet's remains would be ready in 5 to 7 business days; I finally had to call them after more than 3 weeks went by with no word from them. Come to find out, the urn I ordered was not in stock but nobody bothered to inform me about the delay or tried to offer an alternative. I would not recommend this business to anyone, they should honestly be ashamed at the way I was treated. My hope is that this review will spare others from the additional grief they caused me.

THANK you to all of the staff. They were there for my family during a difficult time. Our family dog died in the middle of the nite...we didn't know what to do. But the staff took my call at 4am...and helped our Dog Dutch to go to heaven with dignity, love and in style! The package was great and price reasonable. Highly recommend!

We was looking up pet cremations when our beloved dog passed away and thus was the first one to come up. We called them on a Saturday and they made arrangements for us to come in on Sunday, to arrange all the arrangements for our dog . Feom the phone call to the hospilaty from the start to the finish We were well taken care of and they done a great job for our dog and the price was reasonable thank you all again so much from our Family

My name is Susan, I have a slew of pets. Each and every one is a member of the family. I'm very sentimental and prefer to keep the remains of my pets because I rent. The general public needs a pet cremation service that is not only affordable but is also very conscientious. Difficult jobs are often met with a bit of callousness. I would NEVER think that at all about Homeward Bound, they seem truly appreciative to have your business and actually see the pets as individuals. Very friendly . Thanks J.

My mother's dog passed away on Dec 23rd. I took him to Homeward Bound on Xmas eve and the employees were very supportive and kind to our situation. While the event was extremely sad, I was very please with the Homeward Bound Pet Memorial experience. I highly recommend.

Words can not be said that truly says what I’m feeling. I can say that the sudden loss of my sweet baby boy blue Brantley, is overbearing my daily functions. I feel has if I can’t breathe without him. :(. That being said I want to thank Johnny at home ward bound for the tinder, kind hearted, caring words and seeing the sadness in my eyes. I called Homeward Bound to have my best friend, my horse of 30 years cremated. They did a great job and were very respectful. I miss him but thanks to them, at least he's home with me now. :(

Had to put my Boy Blue down on Monday, called monday evening and spoke to Johnny. He made me feel so much better about the whole process. A little ease off a broken heart and shattered soul. He made Blues Obituary and posted it online and had my boy picked up by tuesday. He sent a simple text to let me know he had Blue, which I was beyond greatful for. I am at peace knowing he was at his final resting place in the caring hands of Johnny. He worked with me changing my mind on what package and always reaponded right back to any question I had! Johnny what you did for me these last few days I will never forget and will always be greatful!!! I lost my bestfriend and the one who saved my life that monday and you helped me and guided me in the right direction when I was so lost. I will never forget your kindness. My dog Harley was hit by a car on September 12th. I wasn’t expecting to lose an animal anytime soon so I hadn’t been saving for it. I asked my mom for help and she found Homeward Bound Pet Memorial. They had many options in terms of pricing and memorabilia for Harley. When we called before bringing him in a nice man got everything ready and was waiting for us to arrive. He was very kind and took his time making sure we didn’t walk away with any questions about how everything would happen day by day until we got Harley back. When we told him we had a little girl who loved Harley and would miss him he brought a book to help her understand what was happening. He in no way rushed the conversation and actually explained how the business came to be. My husband was very torn about leaving Harley anywhere until we talked with the man. He made us confident about our decision and let us know he would take good care of Harley for the next few days. He was respectful and I honestly didn’t expect much more than signing papers before I got there. I strongly recommend this business to anyone that loses a pet. The people that run and own this business not only care about the animals, but they care about the people because they know what it’s like to lose a furry family member. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I first worked with Homeward Bound 5 years ago when I had to say goodbye to my first pet. Because of their professional service I returned to Homeward Bound after the loss of my second pet recently. Johnny communicated frequently via text and email to keep me updated. Arrangements were handled flawlessly through a relationship with my vet, Zionsville Country Vet Clinic. Johnny was kind enough to offer to deliver my pet’s urn and package to a more convenient location while he was out on another run. I am very pleased with the professionalism of Homeward Bound, and the dignity and quality of services provided.

I have used Homeward Bound 3 times now. I like how they treat the situation with respect...this is not just some pet , but a beloved part of your family. Because of my working hours I like how they pick my pet up and return the cremains to me at my shop. They have asked me if I needed grief counseling. Years ago I lost a pet at my vets Clinic. My vet was out of town and the stand in vet asked me if I wanted a trash bag to put my dog in...I was angry that he treated it like she was trash to be thrown away! I will use Homeward Bound again and I have recommended them to my clients, I am a pet groomer and I tell my clients how pleased I am with their service.

When I lost my mare that I raised and trained, owned her mom, she was 30 and we had a tragic episode with her and she had to be put down. Needless to say I was devistated. Through a mutual friend we contacted Homeward bound, they took care of my girl and now have arrangements made when the day comes she is to be put in my casket, she will now always be with me. Can't say enough how much I appreciate everything Homeward Bound has done for me, they are so prompt, very professional, and even do follow up visits. I would recommend them to anyone that has a heart pet like I do, to have forever!!!Thank you for taking care of my girl!!

I paid for the Standard package. I got back 2 bookmarks that have barely recognizable "paw prints" of my Cole. The same for the "Clay Paws" imprint. I can barely see the print. Oh!! AND...They left my Cole sit there for over a week before they cremated him and his urn was cracked at the bottom! Take your dog or cat somewhere else. Thank GOD I have pictures and videos of my best friend. I hope he forgives me when I see him again for sending his body to this place.

I took my husbands n mine babygirl gris to get cremated on the 22 of january. We paid. 250.00 and they told us 5 to 7 days. Here it is 10 days later and still nothing. And ive called everyday this week. And each day its a new excuse and oh we doing it today and etc. Her obit still isnt posted. Im very honestly hurt because gris was my husbands best friend and she meant the world too us. Shes our baby. We tried everything so save her buy it was genetic.we couldnt bare just throwing her away shes family and for a place to say they understand And everything i dont gey why they are giving excuse after excuse.
