Our family had Erlewein Mortuary help with services for my sister in law just recently. The amount of care shown by the entire staff was outstanding. My niece and nephews are still very young and as they went through the process of saying goodbye while still behaving as small children the family at Erlewein was so supportive. The children wanted to stay til their mom was fully laid to rest and the gentlemen who helped at the cemetery used such care when handling the equipment used. Making sure there wasn’t anything to frighten them. The services Erlewein provided were very family friendly. I truly thank all the folks who made this as easy as possible for my niece and nephews..

My father passed away in September 2021 and Alex Adams was our funeral director. She helped us through the experience with as much ease as possible and the process was very smooth. It was clear that an incredible amount of work, thought, and care went into making that happen. I could not recommend Erlewein more. Evan was a blessing in a dark time. He has a gentle soul that one can see on the first time meeting. I am so thankful that I chose Erlewein for my father. They do some very thoughtful things; they have sent me pamphlets to help through the grief, and just now, one year later, I receive a card with all of them there at Erlewein having hand signed it. Dane, BJ and Staff,I want to start off by saying that my mother passed away on September 23 and Erlewein Mortuary and Crematory were taking care of my mother right away. We knew our mother was in excellent hands. Our mother looked absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful and met all of our needs. They guided us through every step we needed to take in order for mom to have the best viewing and funeral. The slide show was perfect. They had all our pictures that we wanted on there and the beautiful music to go with it plus the songs at the service. I know my mother would have loved it. Flowers and other gifts were placed around the room perfectly where each person that entered the room to see my mother could see them. THANK YOU so much for EVERYTHING! During some of our families darkest days, Erlewein was a bright light. They were patient, empathetic, generous and incredibly accommodating. In the sudden passing of my wife and not having an understanding of the process, I was led to Erlewein Mortuary by a friend for services.Still being in shock, in meeting with the staff at Erlewein, they made the process seamless. Although grieving, the staff was very attentive to my needs, very compassionate for my requests for my wife and did everything that I had requested and more. I tried to convey my feelings to them in person but, being overwhelmed with their compassion, I could not get the words out without crying. So, I sent them and email to convey my heartfelt thanks for making my life easier during such a difficult time.

The Erlewein staff was above accommodating, professional and left no questions unanswered. They worked directly with an out-of-state mortuary to coordinate the flight and other arrangements, for the decedant, which greatly reduced our stress wondering how we could make this all work just before a major snowstorm hit the area of her final resting place. After Mom was interred there was an issue receiving copies of the death certificate. Evan and his team went above and beyond assisting to resolve this issue. He communicated regularly with the State, Dr. and me providing updates nearly daily. One of the assistant Director's actually went to the PCP's office to assist in finalizing the PCP's digital signature on the Death Certificate which was due to a system glitch. I can highly reccommend their services! Thanks Erlewein and especially Evan!!!

We had pre-paid for our funerals and were very pleased with that decision when my wife, Jean, died this past October. Casey was great help with final preparation details. Dane - your team is FANTASTIC! I can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciated Alex and how he was there for us. He helped guide us through this process and gave us all the next steps and answered all of our questions. He's really good at this!I have so appreciated getting follow up information from the mortuary providing grieving guidance and suggestions for grief counseling. I've shared this with my family as well. Also, I was thinking of the best way to recommend you on-line and of course a Yelp review came to mind. I was also thinking of sending you this letter in a Thank you card and lo and behold, but what shows up at my door? All the information I needed (including a self-addressed stamped envelope!) to provide you with the review I wanted to and to be able to express my gratitude.I don't recommend anyone go through this (but since we all have to sometime!), but I do recommend Erlewein's services.p.s. I hardly want make up on my son however is was caked on him like frosting on a cake. It didn’t even look like my son with all the make up on him. They had place his flowers in the room for the other showing and we had to tell them that several our flowers were missing. We were told our flowers were misplaced because of a “new person who didn’t know what they were doing.” They also didn’t have all of them logged into our book And there are still some missing that they had never found that were sent from our family. All of the guests who were there for another showing had kept coming into our area even though they had their own entry and exit on the other side of the building. For our service, there weren’t enough chairs and our guests had to go get their own chairs. For the service we werent offered any help or given ideas of what to do. They only asked what minister we were having and at the time we were still trying to get one. Our family had gone into the wrong funeral procession because it was not marked and ended up on the opposite side one of the state. And for the obituary, we had to call 3 times to get it all corrected because they had kept printing it wrong after we made the corrections the first time while we were in the meeting.

All personnel were courteous and helpful, especially during the visitation and funeral. Ed Stoepler was a "model" for all visitation personnel.

At such a horrible time in my families live I could not have ask for a more WONDERFUL experience. Evan and all of the front office staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and it does not stop after the celebration of Scott's life. Dane - your team is FANTASTIC! I can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciated Alex and how he was there for us. He helped guide us through this process and gave us all the next steps and answered all of our questions. He's really good at this!I have so appreciated getting follow up information from the mortuary providing grieving guidance and suggestions for grief counseling. I've shared this with my family as well. Also, I was thinking of the best way to recommend you on-line and of course a Yelp review came to mind. I was also thinking of sending you this letter in a Thank you card and lo and behold, but what shows up at my door? All the information I needed (including a self-addressed stamped envelope!) to provide you with the review I wanted to and to be able to express my gratitude.I don't recommend anyone go through this (but since we all have to sometime!), but I do recommend Erlewein's services.p.s. I hardly want make up on my son however is was caked on him like frosting on a cake. It didn’t even look like my son with all the make up on him. They had place his flowers in the room for the other showing and we had to tell them that several our flowers were missing. We were told our flowers were misplaced because of a “new person who didn’t know what they were doing.” They also didn’t have all of them logged into our book And there are still some missing that they had never found that were sent from our family. All of the guests who were there for another showing had kept coming into our area even though they had their own entry and exit on the other side of the building. For our service, there weren’t enough chairs and our guests had to go get their own chairs. For the service we werent offered any help or given ideas of what to do. They only asked what minister we were having and at the time we were still trying to get one. Our family had gone into the wrong funeral procession because it was not marked and ended up on the opposite side one of the state. And for the obituary, we had to call 3 times to get it all corrected because they had kept printing it wrong after we made the corrections the first time while we were in the meeting.

Thank you Evan and Mae for all you wonderful care you gave our family in the passing of our Mother! We couldn't have asked for anything better. Mom was pleased she got to have a say in what she wanted. Dad has already told us he wants to be at Erleweins also. So we will be back in the future. Thanks for all you do!

I am not sure anyone is ready for this part of life. The staff at Erlewein went above and beyond to make our process as smooth as possible with having to deal with the grief of losing someone. I highly recommend them for planning this portion of your life choices.
