I used Titzer Funeral home fur their pet Bereavement and cremation service. Twice. God bless my pups Rocco and Hans Gunther! The woman I spoke to both times was very caring and explained everything. She asked a lot about my furbabies and we talked for awhile. It can be just as hard losing a pet because they too are part of the family. Then before I left she praise with me over my loved ones. They take enough time so you are ready to hand over your loved one knowing they are in The best and most capable hands. I will always use Titzer pet bereavement services.

I can't thank Todd and his team at Titzer Funeral Homes enough for the compassionate care they provided during one of the most difficult times in my life. From the moment we arrived, their team treated us like family, showing genuine empathy and respect every step of the way.They went above and beyond to ensure that my dad’s service was a beautiful tribute to his life. I received services several years ago for my Dog Moe and they treated me and him with such dignity and respect. I now have a cat who is ill and may not make it. Unfortunately, I may need their services again. I would trust no one else with my pet.

I brought my dog Storm in and they were extremely kind,loving and sympathetic towards our loss. They made sure all questions got answered and dealing with death is never a good or easy experience yet they truly made it easier for my husband and I. They give a family vibe that makes you not feel like you are dealing with a business rather a family member. I highly recommend them. Thank you all for the care and support you have given us and thanks for such a wonderful job.

My husband and I did our pre plan due diligence by meeting with funeral homes to discuss options a cost. Todd Titzer not once tried to upgrade or pressure us into purchasing extra. He was compassionate yet informative and to the point. His prices for Direct Cremation where more on target than some of the others. Todd made us feel more like family not a consumer. He is the only choice in my opinion.

We have used Titzer for our pets twice. They made the process so kind. Todd said a prayer over my sweet friends and treated them every bit as respectful as if they were a person. I am so happy to have them to make my losses less stressful. Titzer is a God send.

I had my dog Cremated though them a lady named Sharon was the sweetest most caring lady I’ve ever met ! She prayed over my dog and she even called and checked on us a couple of times to see how we was all doing after losing our fur baby .

Now that we have Adler's ashes and are completely done with Titzer Family Funeral Home (Columbia Street in Evansville), I want to let everyone know that I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. Here are 3 examples from our experience to explain why:1. The very first thing the funeral home director asked me during our first meeting was if Adler was stillborn (this was for the death certificate). I said yes. He then proceeded to ask me if I was sure, because he THOUGHT one of the reports he was given said that he lived for two minutes after he was born. I told him no, that they couldn't find his heartbeat on Sunday, November 20th as well as Monday, November 21st when they checked again during another ultrasound. He then continued to ask me if I WAS SURE a few more times. Having to go to the funeral home to make arrangements for my child was already hard enough, but then to have him continually ask me if I was sure that my son was stillborn was gut wrenching.2. During our first meeting we started working on Adler’s obituary. We gave him the names of surviving siblings, grandparents and great-grandparents. He said we had a limited amount of space for a basic obituary, but that if we wanted to come up with a few lines of our own, we could go home and work on that (this was also very emotionally hard to do). During the second meeting, as soon as I sat down, he handed me a piece of paper with all the information that we had given him the previous meeting typed out, but with their website at the end. He told me that that was all we could fit on it. I then asked if I could make some changes so I could add at least one of the sentences we came up with to put in it. He answered by saying that they couldn’t even put their full name at the bottom of it, that they could only put their website and that I needed to just go through it to make sure that all of the names were spelled correctly. He then told me that the website was so people could leave their condolences. Two days later when his obituary was released, I clicked on the link and all it did was go to their home page.3. Also during the second meeting, I asked if the urn would be sealed because we intend on scattering his ashes throughout time. He answered my question but then looked at me and said, “You know, once they're gone, they're gone. You don’t get those back.” His attitude behind it was not only insulting but insensitive.I could go on with other examples of how this man was sarcastic, lazy, and all around rude during the four meetings I had with him as well as several phone conversations, but I think these three make it pretty clear. Funeral home directors should be compassionate, caring, sensitive people. It’s already a hard, emotional situation to have to make arrangements for your loved one that you lost, you expect to have an overall good experience with the funeral home to make it a little easier. That was not the case for us at Titzer Family Funeral Home.

Mr Betz at Titzer's was very helpful when first my mother passed away and when my aunt passed away. Everything was perfect and he thought of things I wouldn't have. It all made the services as beautiful as they could be.

They are very interested in helping you put together a nice funeral. I have been there and talked to them. They gave me a written estimate for the type of funeral that I was interested in. My only concern is the amount of people that they can acomidate at one time.
