I have used this funeral home 12 years ago for my dad. It was extremely impressive at that time, and even more so in their new and serene location. The view during the service was breathtaking, as nature appeared to be climbing through the enormous windows, with the sun appearing to dance across the room. Robert and Kristan were very professional with every step of this process. They never pressured me into spending more than I was comfortable with. It was good to have the majority of the plans ahead of time, but Kristan made sure everything was still what I wanted after my husband died. Even when Robert came to take my husband's body, he never hurried the process. He allowed me plenty of time to say good-by. Since we had the service at the church, our Pastor was very thankful that Robert and Kristan did not take over the service. They were there to assist our church family. The service at the cemetery was also comfortable in spite of the cold. I appreciate the care and concern even after the funeral.

Excellent, efficient service. Took care of all key tasks following the sudden death of my brother, who had made no advanced plans for his death, and who lived 200 miles away from us. Assisted us with disposition of personal affects once we arrived in Rockford, and provided helpful advice as needed.

Where do I begin? From start to finish Kristan made every step of the process so flawless. She made sure she knew every detail about our dad. When she spoke of him it sounded like she knew him for years. They never were pushy with their products and allowed us to personalize to our liking. They were warm and went above and beyond for our family. The funeral home felt just that....like a home! Unlike most where it feels very cold and uninviting! It was very spacious and had a room where children can play and had toy area....We were impressed with Grace! Did I mention the bathroom? It offered a place to sit, had tolietries, and I was impressed how awesome it smelled in there! They thought of every detail and made the process as smooth as possible! I would recommend to EVERYONE! Thank you Grace for all that you do! Angels walking this Earth!

This family owned funeral & cremation business is amazing!! From the first time we met to the day of my Dad's service, they went above & beyond. They thought of EVERYTHING and did EVERYTHING from top to bottom! We had so many compliments from family & friends on how wonderful of a job Grace did. We really didn't have to do a thing, they took care of it ALL. Losing a loved one is heartbreaking and to have someone take care of you during the grieving process is so appreciated. I am so impressed with Kristan and Bob at Grace. They assisted our best friends as they laid their 13-year-old daughter to rest. They were authentically compassionate, flexible and offered creative options that really fit the family's personality and values. The funeral director was very understanding of my distress with an unexpected death and in making arrangements for cremation. It was done with efficiency and I was able to pick up the ashes, go back home and then return to make plans for a memorial service and burial. They coordinated with the cemetery and I was able to have the simple services that I wanted. The excellent staff was there to see that people attending the memorial were taken care of. The funeral home itself is a modern, calm and well appointed building. The one thing that I would advise with the services is that one size doesn't fit all. Be firm about the services you need and want to pay for.

Bob and Kristan have assisted our family twice in the last 3 years, and they are truly consummate professionals. Their compassion and understanding allowed us to make the best of the most difficult situations. They were with us every step of the way, helping us decide how best to lay our loved ones to rest, and even going as far as contacting insurance companies on our behalf when we weren't even sure where to start. We were never pressured into anything we did not want - Kristan assembled several funeral options for us to choose from, allowing us to take the time necessary to make an informed, comfortable decision. She even got us coffee when we needed it!As I begin to make preparations for my final journey home, I know who I want taking care of me and my family after my spirit enters Heaven's Paradise. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services worked with my family after my mom passed from a long battle with cancer. Kristan and Bob came to the house in the middle of the night. They were compassionate and caring, asking what our wishes were and explaining the process to us. When we went to the funeral home to meet with Kristan, we were treated with the utmost care and respect. Kristan answered all of our questions and concerns and assisted us in any way she could. My SIL and I discussed that in this very challenging time, we felt cared for and that was because of Kristan and Bob. I called many times over the course of the week and was always pleased with the timely response and help. No one wants to engage the services of a funeral director, but when we need one, it's comforting to know that there are people like those at Grace who will care for your family as their own.

The staff was so caring at one of the worse times of my life.They never rushed us into decisions but help guide my sons and I, as I have never had to plan a funeral before. They listened to our stories about my husband of 44 years and father of my two amazing sons.When they came to our house to pick my husband up, they never rushed our last times together. At the Worst Moment of Your Life, The Loss of a Loved One, You are Expected to Make Lifetime Decisions. When Our Mom Passed, My Brother & I Were Devastated. I was Aware of Grace Funeral from Facebook. We wanted someone that would treat Mother with Compassion. Kristan & Bob did Exactly That. Kristan was With Us each Step of the Way. Grace Funeral & Cremation was a God sent for us during the loss of our dear loved one. Kristan and Bob's compassion and caring attitudes, along with the top notch knowledge and information helped us plan a funeral that was a true celebration of Tom's life. At a time when we were in shock and so vulnerable, planning a funeral and trying to figure out the financial resources aspect of it was overwhelming. Kristan understood our pain, and helped us to arrange all aspects of the funeral with ease and confidence. We all felt good about the decisions made. Bob and Kristan were always available for questions or chatting no mater when we called. The funeral itself was so beautiful...Bob was there ready to help anyone that needed anything or even a hug or shoulder to lean on. Funerals and death planning are something that has no directions and usually comes at a time that is so unexpected...Kristan and Bob have a heartfelt passion to bridge that horrible time of dealing with loss into a true celebration of a loved ones life. My mother and I came to IL all the way from VA in regard to the passing of my maternal grandmother. We had faced many difficulties of circumstance upon arriving, such as coming up with the funds to pay for her cremation. Kristan was very understanding of our situation and was also quite knowledgeable in her her field of work. Once the formalities were handled, my mother had returned to the funeral home to pay for the services. As it turned out, Kristan had had the cremation taken care of already, based on faith that my mother would be forthcoming with her payment. This saved us a lot of time and we were able to fly back home within the next few days. This was one of the kindest gestures we had experienced during our venture and humbled us greatly.A special thank you from myself and my mother :)

My Uncle Mike had prepared for his arrangements as he had been ill for awhile. However, the loving kindness he was shown while he was with us continued after his death. They were there within an hour of his passing and continued to be there for us even after the final issues had been handled. Words cannot express how thankful we are to have been loved and cared for by Kristan and Bob at Grace Funeral and Cremation. After my father died unexpectedly we were all in complete shock and very unsure how to proceed with all of the funeral planning. Kristan and Bob gently and caringly guided us along the way making us feel comfortable with some of life's most challenging decisions. They were extremely approachable, always available, and took care of all of the details giving our family the ability to heal and be together instead of worrying about everything that needed to be done. I truly do not know how we would have gotten through this very difficult time without their care and expertise. They are very connected to the community and were easily able to handle details covering all aspects of the funeral, including delivering flowers after the funeral straight to our home and delivering the death certificates when they were available. They went above and beyond in every single way. They created a slideshow for the funeral with many many pictures that really allowed my dad's life to be celebrated at the funeral. Simply said, it seemed as though we were talking to a dear friend when we were meeting with them. Their facility was very clean and welcoming. This is a top notch facility that makes even the most difficult time bearable. I highly recommend them and could not say enough wonderful things about how we were treated. Their compassion and understanding allowed us to make the best of the most difficult situations. They were with us every step of the way, helping us decide how best to lay our loved ones to rest, and even going as far as contacting insurance companies on our behalf when we weren't even sure where to start. We were never pressured into anything we did not want - Kristan assembled several funeral options for us to choose from, allowing us to take the time necessary to make an informed, comfortable decision. She even got us coffee when we needed it!As I begin to make preparations for my final journey home, I know who I want taking care of me and my family after my spirit enters Heaven's Paradise. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services worked with my family after my mom passed from a long battle with cancer. Kristan and Bob came to the house in the middle of the night. They were compassionate and caring, asking what our wishes were and explaining the process to us. When we went to the funeral home to meet with Kristan, we were treated with the utmost care and respect. Kristan answered all of our questions and concerns and assisted us in any way she could. My SIL and I discussed that in this very challenging time, we felt cared for and that was because of Kristan and Bob. I called many times over the course of the week and was always pleased with the timely response and help. No one wants to engage the services of a funeral director, but when we need one, it's comforting to know that there are people like those at Grace who will care for your family as their own.

Christin and her husband were great. They helped me when my mom passed. It was last minute and they did not hesitate to get my mom. They are kind and compassionate. I would use there services again. The facility that they have is also beautiful. Feels open full of light and has a welcoming home like atmosphere.

The staff was so caring at one of the worse times of my life.They never rushed us into decisions but help guide my sons and I, as I have never had to plan a funeral before. They listened to our stories about my husband of 44 years and father of my two amazing sons.When they came to our house to pick my husband up, they never rushed our last times together. They even had a beautiful quilt the they covered him with. To me, I knew we were in good hands with them within the first few minutes of meeting them.

Grace Funeral & Cremation was a God sent for us during the loss of our dear loved one. Kristan and Bob's compassion and caring attitudes, along with the top notch knowledge and information helped us plan a funeral that was a true celebration of Tom's life. At a time when we were in shock and so vulnerable, planning a funeral and trying to figure out the financial resources aspect of it was overwhelming. Kristan understood our pain, and helped us to arrange all aspects of the funeral with ease and confidence. We all felt good about the decisions made. My mother and I came to IL all the way from VA in regard to the passing of my maternal grandmother. We had faced many difficulties of circumstance upon arriving, such as coming up with the funds to pay for her cremation. Kristan was very understanding of our situation and was also quite knowledgeable in her her field of work. Once the formalities were handled, my mother had returned to the funeral home to pay for the services. As it turned out, Kristan had had the cremation taken care of already, based on faith that my mother would be forthcoming with her payment. This saved us a lot of time and we were able to fly back home within the next few days. This was one of the kindest gestures we had experienced during our venture and humbled us greatly.A special thank you from myself and my mother :)

My Uncle Mike had prepared for his arrangements as he had been ill for awhile. However, the loving kindness he was shown while he was with us continued after his death. They were there within an hour of his passing and continued to be there for us even after the final issues had been handled. Words cannot express how thankful we are to have been loved and cared for by Kristan and Bob at Grace Funeral and Cremation. After my father died unexpectedly we were all in complete shock and very unsure how to proceed with all of the funeral planning. Kristan and Bob gently and caringly guided us along the way making us feel comfortable with some of life's most challenging decisions. They were extremely approachable, always available, and took care of all of the details giving our family the ability to heal and be together instead of worrying about everything that needed to be done. I truly do not know how we would have gotten through this very difficult time without their care and expertise. They are very connected to the community and were easily able to handle details covering all aspects of the funeral, including delivering flowers after the funeral straight to our home and delivering the death certificates when they were available. They went above and beyond in every single way. They created a slideshow for the funeral with many many pictures that really allowed my dad's life to be celebrated at the funeral. Simply said, it seemed as though we were talking to a dear friend when we were meeting with them. Their facility was very clean and welcoming. This is a top notch facility that makes even the most difficult time bearable. I highly recommend them and could not say enough wonderful things about how we were treated.
