Customer Reviews Summary
Kozy Acres has received overwhelmingly positive feedback for their compassionate service and professionalism during a difficult time. Many reviewers highlighted the kindness of the staff, the clean and peaceful facility, and the transparent pricing. However, there were a few negative experiences reported, particularly regarding inconsistent levels of empathy from some staff members during the process.

I’d give 10 stars if I could. I had a situation that occurred on a Sunday. They had an emergency number and I was helped with the most sincere and kind man. He met us at the cemetery ready to help us. He was so kind, caring and compassionate as the whole situation was still so hard for us to comprehend. He let us have as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our loved and so missed Ellie Mae. They are awesome!

I’d like to start by saying we initially chose Kozy Acres because of the exceptional, compassionate service we received a few years ago. An older, kind gentleman took care of us, and his empathy made a lasting impression. However, it seems things may have changed. When we recently lost our beloved pet, I called to make arrangements and was met with a lack of sympathy from the woman on the other end of the line. There was no acknowledgment of our loss, no “I’m so sorry,” and the conversation felt entirely transactional. When we arrived to pick up our pet’s remains, the lack of compassion continued. Despite my tears, there was still no expression of sympathy, not even a simple “I’m sorry for your loss.” It was deeply disappointing, especially from a business that specializes in helping people through such difficult moments.Losing a pet is heart-wrenching, and sympathy in these moments goes a long way. I would kindly urge you to show more kindness and understanding to grieving pet parents. Please consider making improvements in this area for the sake of others who are facing the same heartache.

Choose this place. The grounds are beautiful. The people were kind and accommodating. Your pet will be safe forever....................................................I lost by 100lb old dog Friday night and called several places Saturday morning. I was told so many disturbing things... he was too big, I should cremate him.... they could consult on Wednesday.... in 3 years they will bury another animal on top of him... I was a MESS!!!! Kozy Acres was further south than I wanted to go but they stayed open for me to drive the 1hr40min, kept my boy safe until the hole could be dug, and gave us a lovely buriel. His head stone was placed a few weeks later. They communicated well. They talked me through everything. Prices were so reasonable. You pay a one time maintenance fee and the land will be there forever. I cannot thank them enough for making the worst days of my life just a little easier.

Unfortunately we lost our 5lb Pomeranian. Casey met me at Kozy Acres within 40min to receive Pixie after hours. He also setup a viewing for my wife and kids to come and say goodbye, and setup her cremation. He was very respectful and understanding along the way. This was a very emotional time for our whole family and the way Casey handled it definitely made it easier to deal with. I am definitely glad I called Kozy and would 100% recommend their business to others who unfortunately may need it.

One of the few family owned pet cemetery and crematories left, and you can feel it in their staff's care and the homey environment of their office. Vic was extremely kind both times I came by.This was my first time using Kozy Acres since all of the other pet crematories are now corporately owned, no longer personalized, and out of control pricing. Kozy Acres offers true private cremation and at such fair pricing; worth the drive if you're not from the area.Bonus points that when I came to pick up our pet's ashes, the cutest kitty came right in the door with me for pets. 5 stars for Nubby's impromptu therapy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am so grateful to have been referred to this place. From the initial phone call to the visit, everything went so well. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was so sweet, warm, and comforting. He made me feel at ease and confident in knowing this was the perfect place for my Prada to make her final resting place. Today I came in and the woman was also very sweet and compassionate. Even though the process was fast, I did not feel judged or rushed in anyway. It was a relief to know I was leaving my baby in great hands. Thank you all so much! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Our Siberian Husky Kato passed away suddenly at home in January. We were so heart broken. He gave us 12 years of unconditional love. Fortunately our vet's office recommended Kozy Acres Crematorium. We brought Kato to the facility and the staff was awesome. We were able to pick up Kato's remains the following day and we were assured they would only be his. The staff was wonderful. I highly recommend Kozy Acres Pet Cemetery and Crematorium.

Our Bear passed away last night. I took him to Kozy Acres today and was greeted by Casey who was the ultimate in customer service…..really above and beyond. He treated me like family, I felt so comfortable. The place looked clean and fresh like it had a glow-up. We had also taken our mastiff Bob here in December.I will always come here for peace of mind for our fur babies. Thank you Casey for such great care.
Johnathan Folino
My family and I came here for assistance with the loss of our dog, Rocco. We were welcomed and comforted during a very hard day and were provided amazing care from Casey and his team while we waited. Though visits here are triggered by unfortunate circumstances, it was reassuring that someone was going to help us during such a rough time.

This is the best service you never want to need, they were kind enough to stay open after hours on Saturday, so we could drop off my Odin. We were able to spend a few more moments with him, and all of the staff were so understanding and friendly. We had Odin back home by Tuesday, and I can't tell you how comforting it was knowing I didn't have to wait 1-2 weeks to have my baby back. To: OdinWe love you and miss you so much buddy, you were the best dog anyone could ever ask for. The unconditional love you showed everyone you ever met, will forever leave paw prints on the hearts of those you left behind. I will think of you everyday, until we see each other again. <3

From my drop off with Tom to the cremation with Victor everything was smooth. Victor was so compassionate and knowledgeable. I never felt rushed with my girl while spending time with her. I was able to view the cremation and sit while waiting for her with a co-worker reminiscing about my pretty girl. He was so gentle with her. I felt at ease the entire time. The way he paused before placing her inside to get cremated brought me to tears. He didn't just pick her up and toss her in. It showed he was human and it wasn't just a "job" that my girl once had a beating heart and treated her as just that. Thank you Victor for making everything so smooth. I couldn't do your job.

We decided to part with our sweet furry friend at Kozy Acres. Out of the two gentleman there, one was friendly, & compassionate. The other gentleman wasn’t unfriendly by any means but not very personable or warm either over the phone or in person. We were really going through a sensitive time, just losing our dog that day and felt they could have had a more warm person greeting us and answering the phone. We still had a good experience overall and chose to cremate there.

They have a variety of different options available; Private cremation (I have cats and usually pay between $140 and $230 since it's by weight), communial cremation where they spread the ashes in their pet cemetery (which is around $40), and pet burial services which I personally have never used. They also have clay pawprints and ink pawprints that they do on site. They even offer a variety of different urns and even urn necklaces. I've never had to wait any longer than 2 days to bring my cats back home. You don't need an appointment to drop your pet off, u can just walk in. I've even called after hours and been able to drop pets off. The people here are very kind and are consistent with their work. I've never had a problem with them. I highly recommend them.

This is the second time we have been here and for a reason. Each time we have called during very sad times, Tom has always been there to answer any questions we had and make the process easier. This place always gives us a final peace knowing our pets are being treated with dignity and respect from the moment we bring them here to the moment they are returned. Their services are fast, the building and grounds are beautiful, and the workers here are second to none. Its clear Tom truly cares about his service and the people who come here with their pets. I hate coming here as it is always the end of a chapter in our lives, but I always know there is no where else I will ever go when this service is needed. Thanks again to Tom and Vic for taking care of our Daisy this past weekend.John and Nikki Phelps

My little man passed really early in the morning after what seemed like a sudden turn and in less than 48 hours he had crossed the rainbow bridge. After googling places nearby none felt peaceful or good enough for our blessing and I somehow came across kozy acres...a 2 hour drive but it was the one place my mom and I agreed on. They were so accomodating and took us in even though it was their half day and had genuine care and sincerity the whole entre time.I would seriously recommend making the drive and coming to this place. I'm so grateful for them. From a professional and less emotional standpoint they are also very reasonably price and didn't push payment or anything just saying whenever you're ready. after the lack of sincerity at the vet this was so kind to not be rushed or have pressure and focus on our lil man. Their Paw prints and options are high quality as well.Thank you💙

My wife had her beardy Cinder pass away and we decided to have him handled by a pro out of respect. She was able to locate Kozy Acres via search and boy were we lucky. This place is the real deal! She worked with Tom over the phone and knew immediately we’d be using his services. It’s a compassionate team of folks. Tom went out of his way to address all needs. They got us in same day and Vic was the final touch. He greeted us with compassion, respect, and cared for. I cannot say enough about this true professionalism! Well done in a tough time.

I called several places to cremate my bearded dragon “Cinder”. I called Kozy and spoke with Tom. I immediately felt at ease and made the 45 minute drive. Speaking with Tom I felt his humble energy and just had a gut feeling of complete trust in him. As I arrived a sense of calm and relief to my broken heart. I met Vick who is a phenomenal human being. I left Kozy feeling better and at peace. I recommend Kozy to everyone.

I recently lost my beautiful 15yr old miniature pinscher baby and Tom was beyond amazing. He handled everything with such care and sympathy that I felt like he had been a friend of the family for years. In a time like this he’s exactly the person that you can trust to take care of your loved pets. Kozy Acres is hands down the best and at a time like this if cost is an issue as well, they are extremely fair in pricing, all around hands down the best place to go.

Amazing service! Very professional, caring and affordable. They make the process better and more personal. Definitely recommend!

What a difficult decision to make for our loved fur babies. My heart is broken with the loss of my heart dog-Mayan.From my 1st call to cozy acres to the end...Casey was so compassionate and understanding of what I was going thru. We met Dr. Sarah Beechler, DVM there. Dr. Sarah was so loving. She explained everything so I knew what to expect. In a peaceful room I was able to hold Mayan in my arms.I highly recommend Cozy Acres and Dr. Sarah Beechler/Wellness on Wheels for their services in such a high level of compassion and professionalism.

We have brought two deceased pets to Kozy Acres this year and we could not be more grateful for the services we received for them both. Tom and Tom were both compassionate, patient, understanding, accommodating, and sympathetic/empathetic during very difficult times. No need to look elsewhere when you find yourself needing to say good-bye to a beloved pet.
Cathleen Lehocky
John and his staff were genuinely compassionate, helpful and understanding when helping with afterlife care for Pepper. I was so impressed with their professionalism and understanding; from staying late on a Saturday so I could bring Pepper in, to the empathy showed when I picked her up. They made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. Thank you, Kozy Acres, for making a difficult process as comforting as it could be.

We used Kozy Acres services for our beloved lab Jax, the amount of care and compassion they had was unmatched. Everyone we encountered was more accommodating than we could have ever asked for. The certificate and heartfelt message we received when we picked up Jax’s ashes solidified that we would never go anywhere else for all of our animals when the time comes. They really go the extra mile 11/10 rating.

Kind, compassionate, soft spoken, thoughtful, mindful, efficient, and reasonably priced. They offer several choices for your pet when they pass away. The staff made our painful experience much easier to handle. I was completely impressed from the first phone call to picking up our pets ashes, which was all done on the same day. I'm happy to publicly thank them for exceptional service. 💙

I was very happy with the care and understanding the staff gave us. I felt assured my sweet boy was treated with dignity and respect throughout the entire process. I truly thank you for making a very dificult time a little easier to handle. I highly recommend Kozy Acres to anyone that wants to make the loss of a beloved family member a bit easier to handle.

So easy to work with during a difficult time. Highly recommend their professionalism. Thank you Tom, Vic and Scott.

Tom and the Kosy Acres staff couldn't have been nicer and more compassionate. My buddy passed on a Sunday afternoon and I called before opening Monday morning. I got an answering machine so I didn't leave a message figuring I would call back but Tom called me right back within a minute to help me. When I brought Marley to him they treated him with as much respect as a human. They explained my options and gave me the time and space to decide what I wanted. I'll take all of my pets here. If they'd allow it I would have my ashes scattered here. The cost was the last thing on my mind but I can honestly say it was worth every single penny, cost much less than I thought it would and considering it's an emotional time where one could be taken advantage of and often are.... I was not. I was treated respectfully, with empathy and honestly. Kosy Acres has earned my trust and business forever

So much compassion! The folks here are like family and treat your beloved furkid like it was their own. If you are comfortable with bringing your furkid after passing instead of leaving at your vet...PLEASE bring them here. It certainly is more comforting for me to hand over my furbaby to them. Pricing is also much less than your vet

It’s never a positive time in your life when you have to visit a place like this. I was absolutely devastated to pull into the driveway knowing that I would never see my best friend again. The staff was very calm and patient, they understand what you’re going through. They give you a window of time to say your final goodbyes, done in a private room. For the private cremations, they give you a view to let you know that it’s actually your best friend going in, and not just some random ashes. I didn’t watch, because I was bawling my eyes out, but I know they took the absolute best care of my Bob. There’s never a good way to say a final goodbye, but I know Bob would be happy knowing that they took such great care of him, and me. I strongly recommend Kozy Acres if you need your pet/friend remembered in a positive light. It’s not an easy job that they do, I tip my hat to them for doing it at such a high level of professionalism.

This is the most peaceful and beautiful place I could have ever chosen to have my pet cremated. I'm so very happy to have come here. They're so so compassionate, honest and fair. Thank you Casey and all for taking such great care of my fish Lionel and myself. Your kindness will not go forgotten. I plan on coming here for any of my future needs. Thank you all so much!

Tom met me on Father’s Day after Ihad to put down my sister and brother in law’s beloved dog. I cannot say enough about the care I received.

We lost Tiger after 19 years, we had him put to sleep this morning! I called and Tom said bring him out right away, he performed a private cremation for me while I waited. Tom is the most compassionate person and was very professional. He made me feel better after a very difficult morning losing my best little friend! His price for what he did was very reasonable, if you lose your pet Kozey Acres is the place to go! Can't thank Tom enough!

Tom is the nicest person and knows how much pets mean to their owners (no matter the size). I came in with my pet rat and he explained how he would do his private cremation for me. I will definitely be using his services again. Super kind people and it feels good to send my baby off this way.

The people at Kozy Acres are so mindful of how sad loosing a pet family member can be. They met me very early in the morning to assist in taking care of our beautiful (Nola) standard poodle.

My sweet Prince crossed over the Rainbow Bridge 1 week ago today. I received his ashes on Monday and was shocked!!! My dog was 18 lbs., not large but nice size...when I opened the carton he was in I found a tiny, tiny tin can.... It took me 30 minutes just to pull him without tearing the bag apart!!! Did you run out of a larger container???? My other dog was given a nice size tin container and he was only 11 lbs. So now Prince is in the larger tin con with Andy and there is still room! I wish I had a choice where I could have sent my Prince. I would have elected to send him where my Andy was done, they at least included a plaster paw at NO extra charge!!! And $55.00 more is a big ripoff in my mind! Dont bother with Kozy Acres...shop around first!!!

I just lost my beloved angel Tassie 9 days ago, our vet at Essington Rd Animal Hospital sent her remains to Kozy Acres for cremation. I had bought an urn and bought that along with her ashes to be put in this urn. They are warm, kind and compassionate and understand the raw pain when loosing a beloved pet. Tom (the owner) and his son were wonderful during this painful time. I would like to thank them for their kindness. In addition to cremations services they also have a pet cemetery and they do sell urns for beloved pets. If you loose your pet, consider them for the abundant kindness at Kozy acres speaks volumes thank you again for your abundant kindness shown to me at a most difficult time on the loss of my almost 18’year old feline Tassie.

I would to thank Kozy Acres for helping our family with the process of putting our beloved Wilson to rest. John, thank you for being so extremely kind, and compassionate during our visit. Tom, thank you for being so compassionate, and helping me feel at ease during our time of need.

On 7/28/18, we entrusted Kozy Acres Pet Cemetery to lay our dog Zoe to rest. We gave them $1367.00 “PAID in FULL” only to be charged more money in November of 2018 after the work was FINALLY completed. Kozy Acres did not even start the engraving work until late October and our dog passed in late July! Incompetent people that do not communicate well with one another siting personal reasons for this lack of communication (Therese & Tom Piazza) and very disrespectful during this horrible time for my family. The nerve of these people to ask us for more money after they failed to complete the head stone in a timely manner. I only wish we would have found another pet cemetery for our Zoe.
Megan Spanik
Although this was a terribly sad experience, the gentleman who I called was so so kind and compassionate and I truly appreciate his demeanor and care. He came out on a Saturday after they closed and didn’t make us feel like it was any sort of inconvenience. I’d highly recommend them.

Losing a beloved pet is one of the hardest things to go through in our human experience and when you have to decide what to do with your fallen family member, there is no better place to turn to than the wonderful, companionate staff at Kozy Acres. I could never express in words alone how comforted I felt leaving my Thunderbear in their care for cremation & I would highly recommend anyone facing this difficult time in life to entrust their beloved pet to Kozy Acres.
Tim Rose
Being part of a family that has had and lost many pets we have had to use the cremation services here many times. The staff is very courteous and understanding and explain all of the services they offer from private cremation, group cremation, and burials. They provide you with a great service at a manageable price without feeling like salesman
Karen Klukis
Very caring people. My boys were with Bowzer every step with help from Kozy Acres Staff. I highly recommend to anyone who absolutely loves their dog.
Mary DeMars
The waiting rooms are cozy and calming. Tom, Tom, and John were there when my family and I cremated our animal. Their professionalism, care, and approachability were appreciated. Thank you, Kozy Acres.
Carol Kopca

Camille S.
