The staff at Watson's were amazing with my dad's cremation. Even though I had no service they helped me with the paperwork on the life insurance and they followed up to make sure I got the checks then they called & texted mea couple times to make sure I was okay. WATSON THOMAS Funeral Home worked with me on pre-planning my spouses funeral as she was in a nursing home. I planned within 18 months to 2 years before she passed. We discussed finances and payment. Since she had life insurance, I did not pay anything until after the funeral services. Mark did most of the work filing the death claim.Everyone was very kind & helpful with the pre-planning. It was good to have the bulk of the funeral plans in place before she died. It reduced stress on me & family.We had the after funeral luncheon on the Watson Thomas campus too. Watson Thomas worked well with the clergy and the visitation and funeral went very well.Staff & Mark have continually check on me about every 30 to 45 days to see how my journey in the grieving process is going. AND to see if I need anything or to direct me to professionals to help me grieve.I just love the personal touches they provide at such a stressful, trying, & sad time.I recommend Watson Thomas to help with the final time of life and the celebration of a loved one's life.Yes, my spouse is missed but I know she is in a BETTER PLACE.

Watson-Thomas was the funeral home for both of my parents and they had a prepaid plan for my special brother when his time came. I have to say that Mark worked with my family and I to make my brother’s service, burial, and celebration of life an incredible experience. From the beginning it was clear Mark was on my brother’s team, but he and his staff went above and beyond to make everything go memorably smoothly. We were able to put so much in their hands and they came through 100%. All the extra details meant so much. I’m so glad we went with a more traditional service and burial. As my great aunt was passing away last December, I called the funeral home she had arrangements with. After talking with them, I didn't get a warm and caring feeling. Also, their charge was higher than what her funeral policy allocated. Since I lived in another state and haven't gone through this before, I decided to call around. I called Watson Thomas Funeral Home and was greeted with warmth, caring and sympathy from Mark. I told him what I needed for my aunt and he said he could take care of her and the policy. Also, I would have no additional cost. They treated my aunt with respect and helped me through the process. Mark and his staff treated me and my aunt like family! When walking into Watson Thomas to make arrangements for my mother, my sister and I were greeted so warmly by a young woman who opened the door for us. It was such a small yet powerful gesture and I knew we were in the right place.We were taken to a beautiful room that was so comfortable and felt homey. I remember being so tired and feeling deep appreciation because there was a lovely coffee machine with many coffee pod selections. I reached out to Watsons(specifically Mark) to help with laying my daughters father to rest in Galesburg. The level of kind and patient customer service was beyond measurable! Kaitlyn(I think is her name) was also very kind with helping any time I called for information or questions. Although this is not something you would want to recommend because losing someone is so hurtful. But if you do. Watson Thomas Funeral home is absolutely where you should go. We brought our senior dachshund here for cremation. The price was extremely reasonable and Mark was incredibly nice and comforting. Before, during, and after the cremation process we really did have a perfect in all visit considering the nature of our business there. Mark definitely knows how to talk to people who are dealing with loss and grief. The place itself was so nice and the atmosphere had a gentle calming feel to it. We will definitely be using this business again. But hopefully not too soon.

My brother and I unfortunately are having to search for future funeral service. We called ahead of time and set up a time to meet with Watson Thomas funeral home. When we arrived we were met by a very sweet lady who did all she could to make us feel comfortable. We were sat in a room and told that she was going to start the process and that Mark would be in later to meet us and explain the details and finish things up. Instead, Mark never showed up and she was forced to leave the room to ask him questions 3-4 times during the meeting. We were both told after the meeting that it was her first time doing a sit down. My brother and I (26 and 25 years of age) assumed that the process was going to be a bit different. We expected a lot more professionalism then what was presented. Highly do not recommend !

Mark and his team were very helpful and caring during the passing of my brother, rught before Christmas. They were also very caring when my dad had passed 5 yrs ago. They even sent messages weeks later to check how I was doing and if there was anything they could do. I highly recommend Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.

Unfortunately we lost our dear mother a month ago. Mark and Tricia and there staff were wonderful throughout the whole process They were very professional but treated us with such compassion and caring. I felt like I was with family. I can’t say enough positive things about Watson Thomas funeral Home. And I can’t thank them enough for their care of our mother and our family. Highly recommend Watson Thomas Funeral Home. They have also taken care of 2 of my mothers animals in the past with the same loving care that they showed us for our mother.

I came into contact with Mark when our son was killed. His compassion and concern for us was above and beyond the norm. As a pastor I have performed many funerals through Watson-Thomas. What drew us to Watsons Funeral Home was after we chose cremation it was important to me that they had their own crematory and the family members body never leaves it’s all handled right there , we received great service from everyone who was involved with our loss, all of our needs were met and they made it easier then I thought , it was beautiful and I highly recommend their services to anyone who may need them in the future and I appreciate and thank you all for your prayers and services , God Bless

Spoke to the director several times. Very rude, short and disrespectful. I would not recommend this FH for anyone's service. It sounds like he also treats his staff very poorly. Typical North of 80 attitude.

We brought our senior dachshund here for cremation. The price was extremely reasonable and Mark was incredibly nice and comforting. Before, during, and after the cremation process we really did have a perfect in all visit considering the nature of our business there. Mark definitely knows how to talk to people who are dealing with loss and grief. The place itself was so nice and the atmosphere had a gentle calming feel to it. We will definitely be using this business again. But hopefully not too soon.

My brother and I unfortunately are having to search for future funeral service. We called ahead of time and set up a time to meet with Watson Thomas funeral home. When we arrived we were met by a very sweet lady who did all she could to make us feel comfortable. We were sat in a room and told that she was going to start the process and that Mark would be in later to meet us and explain the details and finish things up. Instead, Mark never showed up and she was forced to leave the room to ask him questions 3-4 times during the meeting. We were both told after the meeting that it was her first time doing a sit down. My brother and I (26 and 25 years of age) assumed that the process was going to be a bit different. We expected a lot more professionalism then what was presented. Highly do not recommend !

We had our celebration of life for our dad in the legacy center. Haley was so helpful. All of the tables were set up and beverages, cups, napkins, and everything else was provided. We had a wonderful time remembering our dad's life with family and friends without the added stress. Thank you!

My grandma recently passed away and although it was incredibly hard on our family, you guys took incredible care of my grandmas arrangements. If something wasn't how we had visioned you made it our vision. I also, took to facebook the day of her funeral and made a Facebook post to brag as well. Who ever does the hair and make up was fantastic. I have NEVER seen a deceased individual look so alive and so beautiful as my grandmother did. You truely take passion in your work.
