I chose this place because they had an opening for an at home appointment available within a couple days of calling. The gentleman who I spoke with was very nice and explained the process and answered all of my questions. The major problem I have with this establishment that I believe needs to be remedied is their payment process. I read in other reviews that people were also not happy with how it's handled. The vet asks for payment shortly after the procedure is done. And after reading these reviews and ultimately learning that Last Kiss would not under any circumstance take a payment ahead of time, not even the day of, I tried calling other at home euthanasia places but their appointments were too far out. So I had to mentally prepare myself for the vet to ask for money soon after my dog's passing, and remind myself to remain focused on saying goodbye. There ended being a problem with the payment process and I was sitting next to my recently deceased best friend trying to figure out how to get this money to the vet electronically. I was by myself so I did end up losing focus on saying goodbye properly to my dog. I then felt as if she was ready to finish up the appointment so we proceeded with transporting his body. It's been two weeks since his passing and I still feel like I didn't get enough time to grieve him when it was over. Last Kiss needs to find a way to make it possible to pay ahead of time because the last thing a person wants to hear shortly after watching their best friend leave this earth is "How will you be paying for this?"

Absolutely top of the class people who work at Last Kiss! Responsive, sensitive, and committed to their job of caring for your pet. Not only were they the best to help me with my dog Otto in 2019 and was available on the very day needed - now six years later I reach out for assistance acquiring the certification and they go well above and beyond to help me so that I can take my puppies remains with me on my move to the UK. I cant recommend this company enough. Bless!

I was very skeptical on using these services provided by this company based off of the reviews. I am so glad I took the chance! Yes reviews say the responses are sometimes absent, we’ll just like everyone else….. everyone’s experiencing staff shortages. There are literally TWO people running this entire company because no one wants to work! Two people over the weekend when EVERY OTHER COMPANY WAS “busy” closed on weekends because Vet’s need their “weekend time”. This veterinarian out of 30 other companies was the only one who moved things around for me and squeezed me in on Sunday to help me with my sick animal! We stayed in contact with them after booking, explained that this cat was everything to my family, and that emotions were running extremely high in the home before arrival! The veterinarian walked in and was instantly sympathetic! She tried to confront us, compliment our home and continuously mentioned that our cat we had to let go of lived in a beautiful home and was loved by beautiful people! She conversed with everyone and kept apologizing to us that this was happening. She was patient as we said goodbye to our 17 year old cat. She was comforting! As we cried and said goodbye she handed us tissue, she said please, take all the time you need! She took such good care of him afterwards! She even shedded a few tears as things were happening! We honestly could not have had a better experience with this veterinarian! I’m not sure about the bad reviews on this review page, but our experience went exactly as we could have imagined it but better. Highly consider this company.

We initially had a positive experience, but it ultimately turned into a negative one.The positives - they responded right away when I called asking if they could come the following day Jan 16, and they very kindly made it work with their schedule despite the short notice. I also ensured that we could do a paw print because we really wanted that. The day of the service, she was professional, empathetic, patient, everything we needed for that situation, and we were told the paw print would be hand-delivered by the next week. If I had written a review at that time, I would have given 5 stars. She made a really horrible time in our lives a lot easier to bear.By the end of the following week, we still had not received the paw print - so I texted Fri Jan 26 and she said she'd call them tomorrow when the office is open to check. I didn't hear anything during the next day so I texted again around ~8pm as I was anxious something went wrong. She finally responded around ~10pm with confirmation of the paw print and said that the gray frame was out of stock and that they are waiting on it to arrive. I wished they had told me that it was out of stock so we could have anticipated the delay or chosen a different color, but at the time it was not a huge deal. They didn't give me an ETA, so after SIX weeks of silence I texted again March 10 asking if there were any updates. By this point I was getting anxious again. No response. Texted again March 11th, no response. Texted again March 13th, no response. Texted again March 15th, and tried calling multiple times as well, and got a weird beeping noise that made it sound like the phone was out of service. At this point we were PANICKED thinking the worst. I tried calling her vet practice but the only after hours number listed was the same number I had been calling. So I submitted an online form hoping to reach her via email in case her phone wasn't working. She finally responded Mar 16 and just said "Sorry I am out of USA. Did you get the paw print?" NO obviously I didn't!! She told me to call her vet office during business hours Monday to check. So, Mon March 18 I called her vet office/explained the situation. They said it's ready for pick up (Why did no one contact me when it was ready? How long had it been ready for?) however, part of the payment I provided was for hand-to-hand delivery (I don't have a car, and the vet office is over an hour away round trip). She said she would have a tech deliver by the next day or Wednesday latest (19th/20th). No one came. I called back Fri 22nd and FINALLY a new person I spoke with said he'd deliver right away - and he did 45 min later (THANK YOU!)By this point I had planned to give a 4 star review, just due to the poor communication that occurred regarding the paw print and the anxiety it caused during an already horrible time in my life after losing Peanut. But THEN, the reason why I am giving it 3 stars now, is the paw print is EXTREMELY sloppy. The letters are falling off of the edge and very crooked, there's uneven thickness and texture changes all over, there's a few long scratches, and they glued it down VERY off-center and I don't think I can fix it without risking breaking the print because it feels superglued. So after all of that anxiety and waiting, we were really disappointed with the result. (the frame is really nice, though, at least)It truly saddens me to write this review because we did have such a good experience initially, but I am extremely disappointed and frustrated and sad about how things turned out. The paw print is irreplaceable and the last piece left of our Peanut. With how sloppily they put it together (and it was an added $50!), it truly feels like they just did not care. This is a final memento of a cat that passed away - how could you not take the utmost care when making the prints??I hope that this review can both inform others but also encourage Last Kiss to do better. I am never going to be able to have the paw print I wanted because of their sloppiness, and I am really devastated about it.

I am not one to leave reviews, but I want to warn those that work with this company. I hope this review also helps them fix their process as it was very inconsiderate and in my opinion unacceptable considering the sensitive matters they deal with.I had to make the tough decision of euthanizing my cat last week. We were in a time crunch and looking for whoever was available at the earliest and came across Last Kiss. To help our little boy move on and be out of pain we made the decision to hire them for a same day service. Almost immediately, the issues began.First, we were told they could be there between 3-4PM. We had to take our cat out of an oxygen chamber from the emergency vet and it was very time sensitive as he was in heart failure and had fluid in his lungs. Dr. Sarah confirmed she would be there between 3-4PM, however 3PM and 4PM came and went and we heard nothing from her. We had to reach out a few times and were eventually told they were stuck in traffic and she showed up about 40 minutes late.My next big issue here was that after the process was completed, within a few minutes Dr. Sarah was pressing us on how we'd be paying. Our cat was still laying on our couch lifeless. I've had to euthanize pets before and generally the payment is handled beforehand or an invoice is sent after, but she sat there expectantly saying they accepted Zelle or cash. Our cat had not been gone for more than 5 minutes before she started requesting payment. Very crude and when in an emotionally unstable state, money is the last thing you want to think about. I understand it's a business but at that point handle the payment beforehand or send an invoice after.Next, she didn't bring a basket large enough to carry my cat and ended up again crudely putting him into the undersized basket she had brought. I understand his soul had been at peace and the body is just a vessel but it was VERY hard to watch that happen, especially immediately after the process. After that, we walked to her vehicle to say one last goodbye and were met with her colleague waiting for her in a pickup truck. Dr. Sarah took the basket carrying our cat and put him in the dark and cold bed of the pickup truck alone. I wish I had said something then but wasn't emotionally stable, but for a process that costs close to $1,000 it would have been nice for her to carry him in the front seat with her rather than in the dark cold bed of the pickup. My last major issue with them was with their ashes delivery. We paid for the process and were told we'd receive it a week from when the process occurred (a Tuesday). We waited until the following Tuesday around 5PM and I called over to their Google phone number and a gentlemen answered - he told me that my cats ashes were ready and I could come pick them up whenever. I had informed him that we paid for the ashes to be delivered and they were supposed to be delivered that day. He seemed to have no idea what was going on and said that they'd have to deliver it next day. We had made arrangements for his loved ones to be present the Tuesday we were told we'd receive the ashes and once again were given no updates and told it would have to be next day.We did finally receive the ashes and we are more at peace with the situation, but I wanted to make those that are looking to use this company aware of my experience. I also hope that Last Kiss reads this and improves the process on their end. It is already such a hard situation to be in, one which I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy - pets are family and mine was very special to me. I shouldn't have had to worry about the company that took my boy and wonder if they will keep their word after I paid them over $850 for the whole process. Last Kiss, please do better for the people that entrust you with their loved ones.

Last Kiss is a great choice when it comes to at home euthanasia. This was our first time ever choosing to euthanize a pet at home and Last Kiss made it quick, painless, and peaceful. I will say that they had originally planned to come at 7pm but had some delays and ended up coming around 9pm- we understood things can happen (traffic, consoling clients, medical issues, ect.) so we weren't bothered by it and were just grateful that they still made their way over to help our family during such a difficult time! Thank you guys!

Dr. Sarah was very empathetic and understanding during our difficult time. Everything was handled with care. If you are looking for an stress-free experience for your furry child, I recommend her.

We are so grateful for Dr. Sarah's compassion and flexibility in helping us put our cat to rest. Our cat was declining quickly and I called late on Friday evening and Dr. Sarah answered right away and made herself available to come over the next afternoon. She even adjusted some of her appointments to get to us as quickly as she could. She made our Jessie's transition a very peaceful once, and we are ever so grateful that we were able to provide her with a dignified transition at home with us. Dr. Sarah's skill and compassion was evident and we thank you for the meaningful service you provide.

Dr. Sarah responded quickly to my message and scheduled to come to my home the following day. I texted her back and said that if she could come that evening, my daughter and spouse would like to be present. She went out of her way to reschedule her evening and come to our home. She was incredibly kind from the moment she walked into our home to the moment she left. She was so sweet and gentle with our Stella and wonderful with my daughter. I highly recommend having her come to your home.

I recommend Dr. Sarah. I wish I could have known her earlier, and I wish my cat could have a chance to let Dr. Sarah take care of him before he passed away. Too bad that the first time I met Dr. Sarah is the time I had to say goodbye to my cat.I read a lot of good reviews on Dr. Sarah, and now I know why. I really appreciate that she offers the in-home euthanasia service, especially during the pandemic when any kind of in-home services have been difficult. I made an appointment with Dr. Sarah via phone and text message. She was responsive and very accommodating. I had to change the appointment from Friday evening to Thursday Thursday (one evening earlier) in a short notice and she had no problem with it. (I believe Dr. Sarah is quite busy during the day at her own vet taking care of other pet patents, so being able to have a certified vet to come to our home in the evening sounds special to me.)Price-wise, I think it is reasonable. I chose the “Gold” package, which includes in-home consultation/services, cremation (with another facility) and the return of the ashes (pick up at Dr. Sarah’s clinic). It took around one week to get the ashes back. The whole process was professionally done, and I also received my pet’s cremation certificate. (This is definitely important!)Thank you, Dr. Sarah!

Dr. Hadzic provided compassionate and convenient at-home service to help our pet pass peacefully. However, communication was a clear issue, all of which ultimately resulted in her arriving an hour late to the appointment we had arranged over a week prior, causing a great deal of stress. I would recommend calling to confirm/remind the day of.

After finding out my cat Milo was terminally ill, I made the difficult decision to have him put to sleep. When I called Last Kiss, the person I spoke to was so kind and scheduled a home appointment for us. Dr Sarah came to our apartment which was a great comfort for me, my partner, and most importantly for Milo. My other cat who is very shy with strangers even came out to greet Dr Sarah, and it was clear that she has a way with animals. She was professional, compassionate, and calm. I was able to hold my kitty on my lap for the sedation and euthanization; afterwards she went outside to give me, my partner, and our other cat some alone time with him. Dr Sarah gave Milo the most comfortable, humane, and caring release one could ask for. Last Kiss/Paws and Feathers sent us his ashes in an urn along with a clay paw print, which is so nice to have to remember him.

Dr. Sarah is amazing. She made saying goodbye to our wonderful cat as easy as possible. She was extremely compassionate to Myron ( our kitty) and to us. She really cared about us. She is very skilled. Myron did not feel a thing. This was the best thing we could have done for him. Dr. Sarah also made the cremation process very simple. She was such a blessing and we are so thankful for her! My husband and I HIGHLY recommend 'Last Kiss at Home' to anyone with elder pets who need care or a peaceful end of life. She will care for your fur baby and for you with dignity, respect and compassion.

Our feral cat was nearing the end of her life, and getting her to a vet was not possible. We found Last Kiss at Home through our normal vet's office, and we're glad they were suggested to us. Dr. Sarah was able to get out to us the same day that we called, and talked us through everything before helping our kitty cross the rainbow bridge. It was a bit on the expensive side, truthfully, but absolutely worth every penny.Dr. Sarah and the vet tech that called to follow up with us a few days later were phenomenal. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for in-home euthanasia services.

If you want your pet to be euthanized by a provider who is curt, rude, and downright un-empathetic, I invite you to patronize this business. I contacted Last Kiss for a last-minute euthanasia appointment for my cat. They do get points for responding quickly, and I was told they had an appointment at 2pm.The morning of rolls around, and I see that I missed a call from Last Kiss. I call back immediately, and am told that they will call me “later”. 1:45pm arrives, and I text them to ask if 2pm is still a good time. I receive radio silence. I am now frantic, thinking that they are a no-call no-show. At 4:30pm, I receive a call asking for payment. I ask what happened with our appointment? They respond that the appointment was for 4-5pm.Even if I got the time wrong, the lack of communication, appointment confirmation, and general customer service at this point was atrocious. I politely stated to the vet that in the meantime, I booked an appointment with another provider. I kid you not, I had not even finished saying the word “provider” when the Dr hung up on me. She HUNG UP ON ME. No “sorry for the misunderstanding”, no “have a good day”, no “sorry for your loss”. Nope, just hung up the phone. Callous and disorganized practice. I am so glad my fur baby will not be cared for by this unkind and unprofessional person.

So glad and excited I found this place. My cat surprisingly seemed to love it from meeting the staff to getting checked. Which shocked me because I can be overprotective about him. I love, love the customer service here. They’ve gained my trust. Veterinaries near me are great to but price wise out of my budget. This place is more affordable, more attentive and very caring towards my feline. He’s usually anxious to go home but coming here seemed opposite. Looking forward to coming back and creating this place part of my family as my baby’s vet.

We were very lucky to get in touch with Dr. Sarah. She was extremely caring, professional, and did everything she could to make this unbelievably difficult process easy. Additionally she was available within 2 hours of our call and her prices are affordable and in-keeping with the industry standard. It took a couple tries to get in touch with her because she is the only Vet at her practice but it was well worth the effort.

When our cat reached the end of his life, Last Kiss at Home made a very difficult day as painless as possible. Dr. Sarah Hadzic was kind and compassionate and made us feel assured that we could honor our cat respectfully with a beautiful cedar urn for his remains and a touching paw-print memento.

I thank Dr. Sarah for going out her way to help in my time of need, and on the same day.She was late, but the inconvenience was very soon forgiven!I soon found out the reason why--this doctor has heart ❣️ and will not rush the valuable time, but will respect the time with our beloved pets.Thank you Dr. Sarah for your quick response. I can see that you care not only for the post but for the hearts of those who grieve.May The Lord continue blessing you.Sincerely:Yvonne Lopez.Patches' owner.

Horrible service, lack of compassion. We scheduled the home euthanasia 2 weeks ago, because our beloved family dog has cancer that spread and has stopped eating/drinking. We had a final BBQ for him Sunday, preparing to say our goodbyes- Monday at 6pm. We've been dreading this day. We gathered our families up (spouses/children) and went to the house preparing for this heart wrenching moment. We were all sad, hurt and anxious. Our doggo even felt anxious- 6pm comes around and no one shows up. Finally we call and the woman informs us that she won't be able to make it because she was driving far and lost her contacts/appointments why as a business, is there no backup plan? She had no compassion and treated it like, no big deal just reschedule. Put yourself in our shoes for a minute! We begged her to come that night but she refused. We hate seeing our dog suffer. Finally we got in touch with lap of love- omg the difference. They asked us for the name of each person that would be present for the doctor to have a personal touch, they asked the dogs medical history- why we wanted to choose this route- it was a whole 20 minute call. Very comforting and if you have to take this route- highly recommend Lap of Love.

This was the best possible way to bring relief to my soulmate. Last Kiss At Home was so wonderful about scheduling. The doctor was incredibly kind and comforting. My cat even came right up to her when she arrived. I'd found them through a Google search, and was apprehensive, but it went beautifully. The euthanasia was peaceful. He died in his home, full of love. My only complaint is that the paw imprint with his name on it turned out weird. You should have a back up if that's important to you. Definitely use this service. Their pricing is quite reasonable, and less than what my vet would have charged.

Dr Sarah and her team are the best. We've been having a very emotional 3 weeks with our pet Koi fish, Beyoncé the matriarch of the fish pond. She was about 26" long, 13 Lbs and 18 years old. She had been on her side at the bottom of the pond so we suspected she had swim bladder. We also knew that she most likely wouldn't make it thru hibernation season. Not knowing where to turn for a vet who would do a "pond call" for a very large fish, we found Dr Sarah! We are grateful for her incredible compassion and responsiveness to our needs. She diagnosed Beyoncé with several issues and assured us we were doing the most humane thing we could do for her. Most people don't realize how smart and what great pets Koi fish can be. After 18+ years with these guys and as crazy as it may sound, they are part of the family. Thank you Dr Sarah and AT!

I would like to thank Dr. Sarah for the professionalism that she and her staff demonstrated while we had to put down our Lady Madonna a week and a half ago home. Her care and attention to detail was comforting. If contemplating how your beloved dog should leave the world, please consider using Dr. Sarah so you can have the chance to be with your pup in their most comfortable space. Thank you for considering.

Made dreaded calls for my 17yr old dog my 5th pet since 2017 that I have had to help cross over the rainbow bridge. It never gets easier talking about ending the suffering of senior animals even when it's very evident it's more humane than to let them continue to exist. My animals had been my children until I welcome my first of now 3 human babies in 2016. The individual who answered my call was calm quiet and patient as I explained the reason for my call and questions. They kindly answered my questions and appologized to me for my sadness. I have mad arrangements for them to come out this week to help my 5 of 6 furr babies to end his suffering while my 19y old cat is not far behind from his time on this earth coming to an end. And if my in person interaction goes as well as over the phone I will again be calling this place when it is time to put my last furr baby down.

Very good experience given the sad circumstances. No one else even called us back, which says a lot about the other euthanasia services out there. She was prompt with good communication and left us time to be alone with our pet. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has the unfortunate need for these services. It's so much better than allowing your pet to die completely terrified in one of these really poor service emergency vet clinics.

Dr Sarah Hadzic helped us when our beloved doggie Sally got very sick and we could not save her life any longer. There was a time to say goodbye. Dr Hadzic came to the northwest suburbs within 40 min since we called her. She is very nice, gentle with animals and we and our baby Sally felt very comfortable in her presense. I highly recommend her services!

I almost never take the time to review things online, but I relied on the reviews when researching this business, and Dr. Sarah was so wonderful, that I am taking the time to do so. On quite short notice after a trip to the emergency vet where we learned that our 13 year old dog was out of options, Dr. Sarah came to our home to help us put him down. Anyone who’s grappling with the decision to put a pet to sleep knows it is one of the most difficult things to do. Dr. Sarah was conscientious, steady, professional, and genuinely empathetic. I can’t recommend her enough. My heart is broken and I miss my dog so much, but I could not have asked for a better way to say goodbye to him. Thank you so much Dr. Sarah.

Dr. Hadzic made the end of our dog's life peaceful and calm, just like we wanted for her. With Last Kiss at Home, our girl was able to die in her favorite spot at our home, by the fireplace with the sun shining in the window. We would highly recommend her. She explained exactly what we would see prior to it happening and allowed us time after she was gone to spend with her before taking her remains. I'm so glad we found this service!
Carina Grimaldo
Dr. Sarah is a strong person for doing this job. I know it is not easy to do what she does. She explains everything she does she reassured me my pet will not feel anything. It was a difficult decision for me but I made the right one and I’m forever grateful Dr. Sarah made the procedure painless for my baby.Thank you!

PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE. incredibly unprofessional and completely unorganized. we had our appointment scheduled for TWO WEEKS. the entire family had been grieving and processing, preparing for the day to come. while scheduling the appointment (for 6pm) she said she will call 30 mins prior to arrival. no call, but we were hopeful she would show. once 6pm came around, no show. called her around 6:10pm and she said she forgot about our scheduled appointment because she lost her phone and had to get a new one, so she lost all of her scheduled appointments, contacts, numbers, etc. i’m more than positive a business owner does not only use A PHONE to keep all of their information, for this exact reason. the family was already if-y about this business since all they asked was why we want to euthanize our pet and our home address. did not bother to explain anything else. PLEASE please please save yourself the stress.
Yesenia Diaz
We had a scheduled appointment for a home euthanasia yesterday since 2 weeks ago. Our entire family gathered at our home mentally prepared to say our final goodbyes to our beloved Kato. The appointment was scheduled for 6pm only to find out that the doctor didn’t show up because she had lost all of her scheduled appointments, contacts, numbers, etc. We were completely and utterly shocked at the fact that someone who “cares” about our pets could leave a family hanging like that. As someone who started their own business you would think that they have the RESPONSIBILITY and HEART that it takes to do the job. I hope the doctor reconsiders if whether she is even suited for such a profession as she showed nothing but patterns of disrespect, unprofessionalism and lack of empathy while speaking on the phone with us. My family and I are devastated from this experience and we hope that no other family goes through this. A “doctor” should NOT be selective of who deserves her compassion/empathy while providing service. This business is UNORGANIZED AND CARELESS, save yourself your time and look for a much more professional business.

It's been one week since my baby has been gone and I've been lost for words. I do want to say Dr. Sarah is the most compassionate veternarian I've ever met. It's a very difficult descion but deep down we all know when it's time. If you have the chance please don't hesitate in using this service. All our furbabies deserve to go in peace in their own homes. Thank you Dr.Sarah for easing me in this difficult time.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!! First of all we all know how difficult it is to say goodbye to a pet. They are your family, a part of you.. when it’s that time you hope you are lucky enough to be able to have a last goodbye and plan for it. Some people are not that lucky.. well imagine preparing for your goodbye, scheduling your goodbye and getting ready for this difficult moment only to wait around for it not to happen. Yep! We planned for home euthanasia for our loved one who stopped eating and is suffering only for this “doctor”‘ to tell us she lost her phone and wasn’t going to be able to make it to the appointment. She had too long of a drive ahead of her and it was just to inconvenient for her to make the stop she had already committed to. So here we are left saying goodbye, crying with our entire family not to mention our children only to have to tell them.. oops never mind we have to postpone because it’s too inconvenient. HORRIBLE. I don’t understand all of the good reviews because someone who cares wouldn’t do this to a family. This is cruel and extremely unprofessional. Oh but she can reschedule for tomorrow.

Dr. Sarah Hadzic was very kind to all of us she explained the whole process to us step by step was she was going to do. She comforted us when we were grieving and she was very kind to our cat. I would recommend her because she did a very good job.
Jonathan Rogers
Last Kiss was incredibly sensitive to our situation and was able to make it to our house within a couple hours of calling. We did not want to let our cat go but it was obvious she had reached her time. I am very thankful for LastKiss and their performance and compassion. It was a very hard thing to do, but i’m glad they were here to help us through it. Highly recommended.

Best way to describe sarah is hard as nails soft as baby skin. Her jobs tough but she does it cause its something that needs to be done. i took so much relief in my finals day with my boy knowing he didnt have to go to a vet and be scared. Very reasonable pricing as well extremely worth it. Thank you doctor sarah keep doing what you do Chicago needs you

We had to say good bye to our beloved dog Baksas, we chose to do it at home to make him feel comfortable. We were so glad we chose Last Kiss. Everything went so smooth and peaceful. Last Kiss provided excellent "last good buy". We are very thankful to Last Kiss for professionalism and kindness. I would highly recommend their service!

Dr Sarah Hadzic made me feel horrible about this very hard decision. 0 bedside manner. I expected a soothing and warm goodbye with my best friend. I received interrogation and blame. Still can’t believe that is the last memory I will have of my baby.
Yamilka Santiago
Dr. Sarah was very professional. She explained every procedure and I felt at ease knowing our precious Rusty left to Heaven with no pain. She was very kind and comforting. I would recommend her anytime.

Sarah!
Gina Kim

Amy Smith

Estefania Marquez
So glad and excited I found this place. My cat surprisingly seemed to love it from meeting the staff to getting checked. Which shocked me because I can be overprotective about him. I love, love the customer service here. They’ve gained my trust. Veterinaries near me are great to but price wise out of my budget. This place is more affordable, more attentive and very caring towards my feline. He’s usually anxious to go home but coming here seemed opposite. Looking forward to coming back and creating this place part of my family as my baby’s vet.
Law Tarello

Lady Elfarran.

Our hearts still in sadness .We had to put her to sleep, it was the hardest thing we had to do in our lives .How can someone put to sleep something that we love so much.

We had to say goodbye to our sweet old lady and we found Last kiss at home . It was definitely worth everything and was beautiful service they provided. To have comfort that our dog was comfortable and safe at home is a fantastic feeling . They were fast but also never rushed us . Thank you so much !

On August 23, 2019, we had to put down our beloved Rottweiler, Blitz. He was mine and my husband’s first baby. He was goofy, gentle and the best big brother to our two little boys. He blessed us with almost 10 wonderful years but a few months ago, he started to have difficulty walking and started to have urinary issues that quickly worsened due to a neurological condition. By August, he was no longer able to walk or go to the bathroom on his own. This was not a way for him to live and with a heavy heart, we decided to put him down.We decided to at home euthanasia to make this process less stressful for Blitz and to have his last moments at home in his favorite bed. He had all his favorite food and we celebrate his 10th birthday early with a big happy birthday cookie. We use Last Kiss at Home as they provided the at home service and coordinated the transport and cremation of Blitz’s remains. We decided on a private cremation with viewing so we can have a few moments to say goodbye to Blitz and to ensure he was being cremated on his own. The vet, Dr Sarah with Last Kiss at Home was not compassionate and seemed scared at our big dog even though he was basically paralyzed but this bad dream did not end there.Last Kiss uses Family’s Pet Cremation (FPC) in Arlington Heights, IL, for their crematory services. Dr. Sarah informed us that FPC will contact us on Monday to set up an appointment for viewing and cremation. Monday came and went and we never received a call. By Tuesday, we still did not receive a call from FPC so we reached out to Dr. Sarah who ensured us someone will call us as soon as possible. On Wednesday, 8/28, I received a call from FPC who states that the they have overlooked our paperwork and they have already cremated Blitz that morning without our presence. Their exact words was that the person responsible for ensure Blitz’s private cremation with viewing was leaving on vacation that day so his mind must have been on VACATION MODE! That was FPC’s excuse. Our last moments with Blitz, our chance to say goodbye, our last chance to see our first baby was stolen from us. We were devastated and felt like Blitz died all over again.I immediately contacted Dr. Sarah of what happened. She showed some sympathy but stated that it was not her fault as she did not own the crematory. So we need to take it up with them. She was supposed to coordinate this process for us so that it would be seamless but instead it became a nightmare. We requested to speak to the owner for Family’s Pet Cremation to make sense of how something like this can happen and to make sure no one else will go through what we went through. We met with Al Anderson, the owner of Family’s Pet Cremation. The meeting did not last more than a few minutes. As we asked more questions about their protocols and how such an important moment can be overlooked, he became more irate and condescending. Al Anderson told my me and husband that if we wanted this conversation to continue then we need to “sue” him because he knows he “has more money than us” and that he “will bury us in court” then proceeded to kick us out of his facility. We were mourning a loss of a family member. The closure that we should have had was stolen from us because of FPC’s carelessness. Instead of showing us compassion and remorse, Al Anderson met us with coldness and arrogance. We did not want to file a lawsuit. We just wanted answers so that we can have closure. He proceeded to say, he just own’s the business but does not know the day-to-day inner workings of his business. My family and I are beyond devastated. We have some many unanswered questions. We have no way of knowing if the ashes we received are of our Blitz. We have no closure as it was robbed from us by FPC. They treated a mourning family like garbage and did not show any sympathy for their mistake. Please beware of this business, both Last Kiss at Home and Family’s Pet cremation as they do not care about you or your pet, but only want your money. We do not want this happening to anyone else.

Highly recommend. Dr Sara is a certified vet. Other businesses send only certified in euthanasia staff but with this business you have a vet. She was very kind, i have no regrets thanks to their professionalism and expertise.

Dr. Sarah gently helped us say goodbye to our 22-year-old cat and commander-in-chief, Vesuvius. There was no better final gift to give our elder statesman than the comfort of his own surroundings to say goodbye without stress and fear. Thank you, Dr. Sarah. My heart aches today, but I know it was the right thing to do.

Dr. Sarah Hadzic made this horribly sad experience tolerable. She was caring, gentle and concerned. I recommend her 100%. She is a good soul and provides a wonderful in-home service. The clay paw print that she gave us is a forever memory. Thank you, Dr. Sarah!

This isn't exactly a service you ever want to go looking for, but when it's necessary this is how it should go. Dr Sarah seemed a bit formal over the phone, but in person was compassionate, professional, warm, and communicative about the process, and saw us through one of the more difficult decisions a pet owner ever has to make. Thank you.

BEWARE! My dog is 16, can barely walk, is very sick (cancer) and I called “Dr. Sarah”. She told me she refused to euthanize my dog, made me feel horrible and guilty then demanded $200 for her “services”. She didn’t even examine my pet!! But she DID see my $500 in cash just before going up to my bedroom to see my dog.She then called the POLICE on me and threatened to call anti-cruelty society! The police showed up, determined she was crazy and told her if she threatened me again, there would be issues for HER. She even had a threatening man with her who looked like he was going to hurt me. Unbelievable, horrible, mind-numbing experience. We caught her in at least 2 lies. BEWARE!!!!

Dr. Hadzic and her assistant came to my Streeterville apartment to help my cat make a peaceful departure. They were kind and accomplished the sad task with skill and compassion. It is not easy to lose a companion pet, but this home visit service is so much better than the trauma of bundling a sick animal off to a strange and scary vet clinic. I highly recommend Dr. Hadzic’s service.

My Dog Q was suffering due to cancer and when Dr. Sarah entered my home I had the feeling I knew I made the right choice. Q went to heaven peacefully and the process was better at home. I thank you Dr. Sarah for helping Q when he was suffering. I miss him but I know he's in a better place without suffering.

They came the same day we called and made a hard experience much easier to handle. It was a bit pricey due to our pet being a larger breed but that was the whole reason we called in the first place (not having to take her in a car when she could barely walk) so it was worth the price.
Peggy Ryan
Dr. Hadzic was just here and helped my beloved dog Primo pass on with no pain and no anxiety. She is so kind and wonderful. She was here within an hour as Primo was in a really bad way. I highly recommend her.

Finally on the 1 month "anniversary" of losing our Tiger, I finally got a response that his print was done. I rushed to get there to pick it up, (said I was on my way, and was told they would wait) they didn't wait even 5 mins. I got there and they closed. Had to go back the next day, and the print wasn't even worth the trip. Heartbreaking

I regret that Dr. Hadzic's services were necessary at last minute but I'm very grateful for her ability to accommodate. It's never an easy thing, especially not for veterinarians, but Dr. Hadzic is professional and kind and the exact person you need for this.

Last Kiss provides a valuable service and they do it professionally. Unfortunately, we called upon them at around 11pm so they came to open up and take our recently departed pet. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the place is a bit run down and when we got there late, it smelled badly of cigarette smoke. It's tied to a vet so it's a bit disconcerting to walk into a vet office that reeks of cigarettes.

When it was time to euthanize our beloved pet she failed miserably. VERY money hungry - raised the price $100 and wouldn't do it when we requested her to do it - wasn't convenient for her. USE HOME TO HEAVEN services out of Indiana - they are SUPERB!!!!

This entire process was completely straightforward and effortless so that you can focus on what is important in your time of distress. You can tell that everyone involved is passionate with what they do and that truly helped. I would highly recommend their services if you need someone in this profession.

When I made the appointment I was a very difficult choice to make, when I called the man who answered was very cold and didn’t go over anything with me. Since I can’t stand to see my dog suffer I decided to just go with because surly the vet would be different. I’ll never know since there did not show

Dr. Hadzic is warm, compassionate and kind. She made a most difficult time for us comforting. Thank you Doctor.

Dr. Sarah was a great help letting our pet go. Very professional and friendly. I highly recommend to anyone struggling to let their pet go.

Dr. Sarah was very professional. She explained every procedure and I felt at ease knowing our precious Rusty left to Heaven with no pain. She was very kind and comforting. I would recommend her anytime.
