Bob did an amazing job at preserving my baby’s ashes in the form of many cute little gifts. I was expecting to just go in and get my baby’s ashes but he throws in some very meaningful gifts along with their ashes. It really made the loss much easier to deal with. A nice little service is also given before you say your final goodbye. Overall an amazing experience. Attached is a picture of my little baby 🤍🐰🐇

Words cannot describe how deeply grateful i am to have come across Bob and his services. He took great care of dear baby Coco. He went out of his way to make all of these wonderful/beautiful things for us to remember her by! I had Coco for 17 wonderful years before she passed and these past couple weeks have been the hardest without her. But seeing all of this that has a piece of her makes me remember that we will be inseparable again! Thank you again Bob!!

Losing our buddy, Zoro, was the worst pain my husband and I have ever experienced. He was taken from us a year after we took him into our home. He was just the best. He was the sweetest cat ever. Loved to be loved. That’s all he wanted. He just wanted to be loved. I’m happy to say that we were able to give that to him. The day we had to say goodbye, we didn’t know where to turn, until we heard about Bob and the Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland. Bob was very helpful in our time of grief. He was very supportive and understanding. He knew the pain we were feeling and showed lots of compassion. He gently walked us through everything. Not only was this a great way to help us, but it was also very affordable. We were able to get a bang for our buck: a wooden urn, 2 clay paw prints, multiple paw prints on paper, 4 necklaces with his ashes, key chains, and a little ornament with his hair and a little bit of his ashes just in time for Christmas. We’re heartbroken that we were unable to spend the holidays with our buddy, but he’s with us in spirit. Thank you so much, Bob. You are amazing! Keep doing what you’re doing!

Toby was my life. I had him for over 16 years. It was devastating when he passed. I was a mess to say the least. Even though I was crying the entire time when dropping him off, Bob was nothing but kind and understanding. We had a goodbye ceremony and a moment of silence for Mr. Toby. There's no place better than Animal Cremation Society of ChicagolandBob and the staff are very compassionate, caring, and understanding throughout the entire process. I cannot thank them enough for everything they've done and for taking such care with my precious boy Toby. The staff are truly wonderful humans and take amazing care of the pets they are in charge of.The cremation services are all single pet cremations - there is no extra charge for this unlike so many other places. For $150 (+ the extras I wanted) you cannot beat the price for the car and compassion you'll receive hereWe dropped our boy Toby off and opted for the memorial package. It's such a wonderful package! You get multiple keepsakes, charms for a necklace (with and without ashes), multiple fur clippings, a cement paw print, a scattering tube, and multiple paw and nose printsSeriously the best option to get your precious pet cremated - lizards, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, cats, dogs - they take great care of your pet big or smallThank you again to Bob - you are truly an angel and such a wonderful person.

I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for all that Bob has done for me and my fur baby, Jingle bell. Saying goodbye after 17 years wasn’t the slightest bit easy. Bob leveled with my family and I while reassuring us that she’d be in great hands until we received her back. What I like most is that you can tell everything is done with love and care. After picking out our gems and decorations, he allowed us to spend a few minutes together before parting ways. The day was a blur but it was his empathy that resonated with us. Hopefully I won’t need to be back anytime soon but I’ll forever be grateful he was able to provide a service that could allow me and my girl to be reunited again.

I am so genuinely happy that I picked Bob to be the one to take in my baby, my Toby. Toby was a lovebird, extremely young, but he had so much personality. He knew how to yell (of course), to speak, mock kisses and sneezes, play peek a boo, dance, and laugh. He never ever failed to make my day, even on the days where he was- well- bitey. To say I miss him would be an understatement. I cannot put into words how empty it feels to wake up without the sounds of him tweeting to have me take him out for the day, being around me as much as he possibly could, being cuddly and sweet, all of it. I have other pets in my life, but Toby’s loss was sudden, and hit me extremely hard.I decided to get him cremated, which is a really new experience for me. I was worried about taking him in somewhere and just dropping him off.Bob was the complete opposite of this. He was so extremely sweet and sensitive to me and my mom when we came in. He took Toby and treated him with the utmost care when he was being held. He performed a small crystal ritual for us, which I greatly appreciate, and we were able to make necklaces with the chosen crystals. We were allowed to say our goodbyes, and take our time when we did too, and that part, I truly appreciate. The wait was expected, but I would not have it any other way. My mom agrees with me that the whole experience and being able to take Toby back home was extremely affordable. We left with his urn, beak and feet prints, necklaces and keychains with his ashes and his feathers, an ornament with his feathers and ashes, and even individual feathers, all of different colors.I’ve been staying strong for him and my other pets, but it’s been hard. Grief really does hit at any moment, one second I’m laying in bed, the next it hits as I cry thinking about him. I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s a sense of relief and comfort, being able to have my baby back at home with me. Even if I can’t hear him anymore, I’m so, so thankful that I’m able to have his ashes with me. Its made the grieving process just a little easier on me, and that’s amazing.Thank you Bob, for allowing my first experience cremating a pet to be as sensitive and as comfortable as possible. You treated my baby like one of your own, and I appreciate that so, so much.

We picked up Wakey yesterday. I am grateful for the professionalism and care displayed by Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland. Bob was very thoughtful and understanding of the moment. First of all, we brought our piggy the next day after passing and he gave us all the time needed to say goodbye, he then walked us through the cremation process, and performed a small ceremony for our little guy. We got a call to pick up his ashes on the expected date (one might think that Holidays could delay thing, but no, Bob is committed and thoughtful) Not only we were given the expected but Bob took the time to add a few extra items to our box: key chains, extra foot prints, blessing crystals, ornaments, ... We cannot thank you enough. We cannot recommend you enough.

Very thankful to have found the Animal Cremation Society Of Chicagoland. Our sweet boy Manuel crossed the rainbow bridge, and Bob made sure to handle him with love & care. We love all the keepsakes- the ornament was such a thoughtful touch since we’re headed into the holiday season. Our home feels a little brighter now that Manny is back with us. Bob, you have been so kind we can’t thank you enough!

My girlfriend and I recently lost our 3 year old cat. It was a very traumatizing shock. We decided to cremate him and I found Bob on google. I needed a place that would be empathetic and kind in our time of need and as I read the many good reviews, I was confident I’d found it. We dropped our little angel off and Bob had us pick out some special trinkets to be included in our package. He was very patient and kind and really made us feel at ease. About 30 days later we returned to pick up our babies ashes and the items to remember him by. We were very pleased with how this whole process went and I would recommend this place to anyone. 5 well deserved stars.

My baby boy Sabbath experienced sudden liver failure at just 11 months old and I had to make the excruciating and quick decision of euthanasia. Sabbath's passing was unexpected, out of my control, and not at all what I would have wanted for his final moments-- yet I found comfort in knowing exactly where I wanted to memorialize him. We have been taking our family pets to Bob since I was a teenager and we have always been treated so gently by him. I knew Sabbath would be in safe hands and would receive the best care with Bob. Bob was so kind to me despite my distress and had so much patience while I said my final goodbyes. A woman abruptly interrupted my family and I as we were saying our final goodbyes to my sweet boy and Bob's reassuring: "Take as much time as you need with your baby. No one rushes me." meant the world to me. All the time in the world is never enough when saying goodbye to your baby. Having Sabbath back home and knowing his ashes, fur, and paw/nose prints are just feet away brings me so much comfort. Bob is an angel on Earth for his services and the thoughtfulness he puts into the items you receive along with your baby. There's truly no one else I would have trusted with Sabbath.Rest in Peace baby 🖤Sabbath LaVey (2023-2024)

We lost our sweet Dexter on September 9th. During a time of complete heartbreak... I am so thankful to Bob for his compassion. He answered the phone when calling once Dexter passed in the later evening hours to explain the process of cremation. During this call, he was apologetic, and we scheduled a drop-off time. When arriving... he was finishing up with another family. Then, took us right after. He did a little ceremony, asked us about him, and allowed personalization of items in the memorial package we selected. This was a sendoff I didn't realize I needed. I'm so thankful for bringing our baby here and highly recommend that others continue to do the same. You can tell Bob genuinely does what he does out of his love for animals and understanding of this great loss we go through. Thank you so much for everything.

My cat, Binx, died suddenly one night at the age of 9. I showed up visibly distraught with my partner the following morning just as Bob was arriving to open shop. Despite our lack of appointment (this was an accident, you should schedule before coming), Bob was willing to help us and provided so much patience and care. It was immediately evident that he loves animals, sympathizes with pet owners and puts great effort into helping you honor your pet’s life in a special way. Thank you, Bob. You handle an incredibly difficult job with much grace.

This animal cremation society was wonderful to my baby and my family. The owner was kind, patient, and was very very respectful of us during such a sad time. We know Mochi was taken care of well here as he was laid to rest. Thank you so much for making such a difficult process smooth and simple.

This place goes above and beyond, they put in so much thought and effort. Without breaking your pockets!!!This was my daughters first time cremating one of her pets and, although it was heartbreaking the man there made the process a bit easier for her. Blessing crystals, making necklaces and he even made an ornament with a few feathers 🪶and a tiny jar with some of Toby’s ashes 🥺 and doing a small yet so thoughtful ceremony. It was very heart warming. We thank you so much for taking care of Toby as if he was one of your own pets. 🪽🐦 ☁️🙏🏼Thank you again!

I am incredibly grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown by Bob. When my 18 year old turtle, Timmy, passed, they took my initial call late in the evening and were very kind when helping me set up an appointment for the next day. Bob performed a beautiful ceremony, honoring Timmy’s life in a way I didn’t even know was possible for a small pet. Their thoughtfulness brought me much comfort during a difficult time. Thank you for going above and beyond!

I recently lost my sweet girl Gucci after 16 beautiful years together. To say this was one of the hardest things I’ve gone through in my life is an understatement. No one can ever prepare you for the pain of losing your beloved pet, best friend, part of your family. I am so incredibly thankful for having found Bob during this hard time. He was so gentle and kind from the moment he answered my call and through the whole process until I got my baby’s ashes back. He really does put so much care and love into what he does. Knowing that my girl was in great hands made my leaving her there a little easier. Bob gave me a chance to say my goodbyes and take all the time alone I needed with her. When he gave me her ashes back he also gave me many small trinkets and keepsakes of my girl, which are truly priceless to me. The empathy, kindness, grace and respect he showed my family and I while we went through this process will stick with me forever. Thank you Bob for your dedication, and for absolutely everything you do. Thank you for handling my baby with the utmost care. You are an angel on earth

My guinea pig Thatcher passed away and I brought him here for cremation. Bob was very understanding of the grief I was experiencing and was so patient when walking me through the process. I knew he was going to take excellent care of Thatcher which helped ease my mind when I was saying my goodbyes. When I picked up Thatcher's cremains, I was very happy about how much thought was put into the mementos that were included, such as the clay impressions and the ink prints.Only a few days later, my other guinea pig Bishop (Thatcher's brother) passed as well, and I knew right away where I was going to take him. I have no doubt that Bishop will be taken care of just as well as Thatcher was.(Thatcher = tan/brown, Bishop = white/black)

My 16 year old Snorkie passed away September 30, 2024. We were expecting it just not so suddenly. After doing some research online, we found this place and was able to take him in the next morning. Bob was so understanding and caring. He has so many different trinkets and urns you can choose from to help remember your pet. He took his time and explained how everything would go and even gave us some hair clippings to take home that day. We also got a moment to say our last goodbyes. The prices are awesome for all of the keepsakes you get. Bob was wonderful throughout the entire process and I recommend him to anyone looking to remember their pet in a loving way.

The care & compassion that was extended to us was incredible. We were impressed with the mementos & amulets that were offered to us as well as the memorial paw prints & of course the urns available, but I have to say the nose print of our cat was so touching since we have never gotten anything like that from the other pet crematoriums we have used in the past. We highly recommend Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland.

We brought our ferret, Tarot, here. Bob was very kind and empathetic. He did a ceremony for Tarot with us, which really helped the grieving process. He gave us many things to remember him by, including prints and ceramic press of his paws and nose, necklaces for his ashes, fur, etc. He even picked out a moon box for his ashes that went perfectly with his name, which was very touching and thoughtful. The whole process went smoothly and we received his ashes back in a decent time frame.

So very grateful to Bob who went above and beyond with his services when it came time to cremate my cat of 16 years, Little Cat. I don’t even know where to begin in thanking him. He was so kind and caring and gave me paw prints and trinkets that I will cherish forever. I highly recommend taking your loved one to be cremated here, he made the process so easy and clearly cares deeply about his craft. Thank you, Bob. I couldn’t have done this without you.

My heart was shattered with the loss of my beloved cat Leo, we had been battling together with his health, and had so much hope, but he lost the battle and I lost part of my soul. I can’t say thank you enough to Bob, he was sure at the time I got there I had the much respectful hugs I need it. I couldn’t stop my tears and he held that sadness and gave me time to grief and say good bye: what a service 🙏Everything is so special made and I got my baby memories.Thank you again

This is my second time bringing one of my cats in to be cremated by this wonderful man. You can tell he has a lot of talent and passion for what he does, and he always gives you more than most, especially for the amount that he charges. It means a lot to know that someone cares the same amount as I do about my babies as much as he does. I definitely recommend you bring your loved one to him. He will make sure you leave with plenty of gifts that remind you of your pet.

Bob does an amazing service. When our betta fish Chang-Hwa passed, Bob helped with cremation as well as providing prints of our beloved fish. When we came back the next day for pickup, Bob gave us more ink prints he tried to capture our fish better. We made a collage of photos and prints 🤍Bob treats all customers and their pets with kindness and deep respect. We highly recommend him when people want to keep memory of their pets.Thank you, Bob!

Bob is such an incredible and kind hearted person. He always goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for your beloved pets. No where else would someone so diligently create so many beautiful keepsakes for you to remember your babies. He really understands how painful it is to loose a pet and he makes the process easy even though we were a mess dropping off our beloved guinea pigs Bob was so kind and patient. There truly is not enough words to describe how grateful my family and I are to have found Bobs Service. Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland truly is the BEST place to go. Bob is a good sent !

My cat passed away in February 2022. My daughter & I brought her to Bob at Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland, made various choices with the myriad of options Bob offers & left to grieve.A year later, we left Chicago and 33 months later, I was back in Chicago for the weekend and called Bob.Not only did Bob still have my cat's remains, he also made time for me on a Sunday morning to pick up and when he showed me what he did, it was truly a beautiful moment. When you lose a pet, it is horrible moment, Bob is caring and compassionate.

Bob was incredibly professional and compassionate about helping us cremate our beloved cat. His humanity and care for us and the cat was an incredible experience. Bob went above & beyond to provide us with an experience that was heartwarming and emotional. While it was an incredibly stressful time for our family, Bob made the experience smooth and better for us during the difficult time. If anyone needs to have their pet cremated, please go here and I promise you will be taken care of better than you can imagine. Bob treats each person and pet individually and with such great care and respect. God bless him.

We lost our 7 year old cat Griffin suddenly, and Bob answered the phone at 9pm. He was incredibly comforting, asked us Griffin’s name right away and walked us through the whole process. The package including the service, urn, and several mementos was very affordable, around $150. We said goodbye to him a final time with a little ceremony where we chose stones and touched them to his head and paws. The selection of the mementos was very personal and thoughtful, and Bob took ink prints of his nose and paws, and snips of each color of his fur. He really put us at ease through the whole thing, and we are so glad we called. Griffin is at peace and we are closer to our own peace thanks to Bob. Thank you, Bob.

I don’t know where to begin but let me start by saying what an “AWESOME” experience this was! It’s hard enough making that Final trip to the Vet with your “Loved One”, but to have the “Care And Compassion” exhibited by Bob made this visit to His Crematorium that much more Comforting for our “Dora”! He was quite accommodating and knowing his Concern toward Dora made us feel that much more at ease as she made that “Final Journey” to the “Rainbow Bridge”! Pets Are Cherished Family Members and Bob knows that by sharing his personal stories about his own experiences! I researched several Pet Crematories before making the decision to Entrust the services of Bob and A.C.S. for our “Beloved Dora”! She shared 15 Glorious years with us after we rescued her from the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Aurora where she appeared to have been left abandoned, Sad! But actually, she jumped into the back of our S.U.V. and being the Tiny Kitten that she was, we couldn’t get her out of the vehicle, so it was at that time we knew she had picked us! I just had to share that story for all to know, since this Final Step in our Remembrance of “Dora” was Most Important in giving her the Proper Care And Attention she so deserved! R.I.P. Ms. Dora Quan, you will be missed but “Not Forgotten” as you Frolic in Heaven with All Your Furry Friends!

Bob is such an incredible and kind hearted person. He always goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for your beloved pets.

Our little Peter Rabbit is now home with us. Bob went above and beyond for us. He and his staff are very passionate about what they do and it shows. Thank you for caring and the extra effort for us. Means a lot!Little bit about our story... After a bad storm and some flooding we noticed 6 baby bunnies all laying around the yard. Sadly 5 didnt make it and we desperately tried to save the 6th baby bunny but he passed on his 11th day. He was part of our family and we loved him like we had him for 10 years! The day he opened his eyes we let him run around in the grass and sadly the next day he was gone due to a bacterial infection that only his momma milk can help him fight. The medication we had wasn't enough. We will always cherish the time we had with him and he knows how much he was loved while he was here with us.

Losing my Dog, Prada was the worst feeling I ever went through. Knowing that I will never see her again hurts the most. I didn’t know where and how I was going to get her ashes from but I just know I wanted something in remembrance of her. I then heard about Animal Cremation Society of Chicago Land. Bob was a very helpful and understanding person. He helped me through everything and he felt the pain I was going through. At the end of my service with Bob I was provided with plenty of items in remembrance of my dog Prada.

I’m writing what is possibly the most well-earned 5 star review ever written. It’s a little lengthy and emotional, but for all who love their pets, it should be worth the read. I brought my Syrian hamster here to be cremated after having a really unfortunate predatory experience at my vet, who were trying to squeeze money out of my grief in every possible way. My boyfriend did some research and found this place, and I’m so glad that we came. Bob is such an angel. When we arrived to drop off my hamster, I was really upset and also struggling to look at him or touch him and accept that he had passed. But Bob was so gentle and matter-of-fact about it. He does a little ceremony with you, and I cannot say enough how much this helped me. His gentle directness about death helped me overcome my fear, and I was able to say goodbye to my angel with closure. I chose the full package that includes the cremation, urn, paw prints, necklace, etc. and it was worth every penny. Bob includes so many things that I could barely keep up. He takes careful paw and nose prints in both ink and clay and makes clay memorial tablets with little decorations that you choose, solders ashes onto pieces of jewelry, takes fur clippings, makes keychains, and more. You also get a cremation tag to show that it was a single cremation. Everything I got is included in the pictures. I’m really happy that I came here. Thank you Bob. ❤️

Bob was really helpful, considerate and kind. I called and he was very helpful and answered all the questions I had. When I got there, he started right away and asked my family and I to pick out stuff out. He was considerate in asking if this was most of my family which I said no and Bob gave me extra sprit necklaces for them so they can also have a last touch. I believed this was a sweet and thoughtful gesture. He explained everything thoroughly and gave us time with our dog. Price wise is such a great package and it came with many stuff which my family and I were enjoyed. Thank you, Bob !

I can't explain how much Bob has helped my family in some of the toughest times by making sure our lost family members are treated with respect and dignity. Our family recently lost one of our members, our raccoon, Milo Rocket. Unlike our other two losses, this loss was completely unexpected and took us by surprise. Within a couple of hours of our baby passing, Bob was there for us with comforting words and a kind spirit. He assured us that even if it's years for us, that Milo was just waiting for us and it would only seem like a second before he gets to see us again. Not everyone has the same amount of compassion for animals as my husband and me, but Bob has it in spades. Our boy was treated amazingly. It was hard for us to think about not having him at home in any capacity, so Bob made sure we were able to pick him up the next day. The care that went into taking care of my baby is comparable to none. We got his ink footprints of each hand, and Bob went above and beyond by making a cast of his cute little nose, as well. Along with those beautiful reminders of Milo, his paws and nose were also cast in cement for us to keep up as a reminder. Bob understood how much this loss hurt us and how connected we were to Milo, so after he showed us the hair clippings he took for us. We were also given keychains that contained Milo's hair so we can take him with us wherever we go. Bob has taken care of two of our kitties over the years, and has now helped us say goodbye to Milo. I couldn't be more grateful for a human than I am for Bob and his compassion. Thank you for everything you've done for our family, Bob.In the end, I'm sorry if you're having to read this to find someone who can take care of your baby. But Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland, Bob specifically, is the best decision you can make in one of the worst times you're having. I will continue to contact Bob each time we have to say goodbye to our babies in the future.

My experience here could not have been better. Bob is an amazing man. He did a beautiful job with the memory pieces and handled the death of my cat Baby with the utmost care and respect. He truly cares about what he does for those of us who have lost a pet. A pet death is losing a piece of your family, and although I was heartbroken that my cat of 22 years passed away, I knew her final care was in the best hands possible. Thank you Bob for your compassion and generosity in my time of need.If you are someone who needs an end of life service for your beloved pet, this is the place to go

Great experience during a tough time. Bob was super sensitive and caring for my cat, and me, throughout. Gave me all kinds of little mementos to remember her by. Will definitely return to him in the future.

The people at the Animal Cremation Society were timely, compassionate and super respectful. After I lost my friend of 14 years, they picked her up and I had her back in a week. Very affordable, made everything easier to handle.

Kali passed on July 23 and we arrived without an appointment and without calling but thanks to Bob, he still accepted us and gave us our service which included the ceremony and picking our gifts. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and appreciate everything Bob did for us and our furbaby. Thank you so much and highly recommend

I just want to give a thanks to Bob Shaw. We lost our baby the 17th of July so unexpectedly due to illness. Bob was so nice and helpful. Got us taken care of that same day. He’s services are very affordable as well. We enjoyed everything included with our services. He makes sure you have everything the remember your baby. You can tell bob loves what he does and makes you feel so at peace while you have to do what you have to do with your fur baby during this rough time. You will not be disappointed! Thank you again Bob!

Amazing work here! Very compassionate and professional service. He was patient with our family while we were grieving our angel Branco and made our tough time easier. Highly recommend!

I found this place online. My dog was 60-65 pounds when he passed away and on the phone I was not questioned about the weight. I was quoted a price around 375 for the cremation and memorial package. When I arrived with my dog I was told “we don’t do big animals” when I mentioned I had an appointment and the man on the phone didn’t question the dogs weight he said “ok well if bob made the appointment then ok” and proceeded to tell me and my partner to place my dog on this metal cart he wheeled out. We went through the little ceremony and memorial process and the man helping us kept saying he was sorry for our loss but was also quite rude and treating us like little children. He rushed us at times saying we can’t keep taking so long and kept saying “we have a lot to do.” It felt rude and inconsiderate considering we had blocked off an appointment time and I was paying them hundreds of dollars. He ended up charging me over 400 dollars because of my dogs weight and asked if I wanted to pay an extra 100 and something dollars to get my dogs cremation done in 2-3 days. I said no thank you and he said it would be ready within 30 days then. I got a call two days later saying it was ready. This was very shady considering he was going to charge me an extra 100 to get it done in 2-3 days when it was done that fast regardless. At pick up it was the same man he was very rude. I was about 5 minutes early and called just to let them know I’m here and he was rude saying I’m too early and he’s still working on it. Then I saw what he was “still working on” and it was SO disappointing that I spent money on the memorial package at all. I wish I had just paid this place to simply do the cremation and made my own memorial items when I got my dogs ashes. It was very cheap and tacky, he was throwing my dogs hair in cheap key chains and ornaments along with random items from their shop. All five minutes before my pick up time so it doesn’t seem like too much care was put into it. They misspelled my dogs name on one the paw imprints, so they have two different spelling. The gem on it fell off right away. They say they’ll give you a crystal necklace with a case that holds your dogs ashes at the top—but really they just glue some of your dogs ashes to the top of the crystal so it’s just a crystal covered in ash that’s slowly falling off. Just super careless work!Ultimately, don’t be surprised by their lack of customer service and just use them for pet cremation (because it is the most affordable I found) but don’t waste your money on expediting the process or their cheap memorial process. I do hope after seeing the photos of the paw imprints in this review they might offer me a slight refund!

Was glad they were around on one of the worst days. I honestly hope you will never need their services, but if you do, they are kind and prompt, respectful, and provide a service that makes a terrible time a bit easier. I had no idea what to do or who to call, but even at 11pm they were out at my home in just about an hour, went through the options with kindness and sympathy, followed up exactly when they said they would, and on pick up spent time with me providing me keepsakes and mementos. I will always remember this as a terrible time full of sadness, but I will also remember that Bob and crew treated me very kindly during that time. Thank you.

Bob is the most loving soul I've ever encountered. I recently relocated here from out of state. When my rabbit died, I was left feeling confused and unsure of my next steps. Bob was able to get me in that day for a drop-off appointment. He guided me through the process, even comforting me when I burst into tears. He performed a ritual that assisted me in saying goodbye to my baby. When I picked up my bunny, he was thoughtful enough to include unique gifts that he had made for her. It warms my heart that he was the last one to care for my bunny. This man is truly an angel!

I'm so grateful for Bob he is so generous and sweet. Took his time with us. I was able to pick out cute memory things and necklaces along with ornament, paw ceramic , ink prints with all her paws with my 14 year old Mary Jane. I went to pick her up and I was so happy with everything he did for us. And not expensive at all.

We cannot say enough about Bob and the services he provides at the Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland. He is a sensitive and caring human being and very considerate to you while dealing with the loss of your Pet. Some people are put on this earth for a purpose and Bob has found his calling. When our Bird and our Lizard, both of which we had for almost 30 years passed away within a month of each other, we wanted to have them cremated. This is where Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland and Bob stepped in. They are one of the only cremation services in the area that will work with small animals. The care that he took with our beloved pets, and the time he took with my husband to choose mementos to help us remember our Bird and Lizard was extraordinary. He took the time to take footprints, beak prints and even to individually bag a few of each types of feather. The pricing was reasonable and we were able to physically drop off our pets directly to him at the location (which is decorated with rainbow bridge images). We picked up a few weeks later and received a wonderful package of carefully curated items. If your pets are important to you, you can trust that Bob will do right by them. Thank you Bob, you are a truly wonderful human being.

Losing a pet is always a painful process and after having that happen and finding Animal Cremation Society I would never trust anyone else with a beloved pet. Bob was such a sweetheart and gentle during the process and I really appreciated all the trinkets and personalizations he does in making a hard process feel special. It is important to make an appointment for your visit so you get that dedicated time and don’t have an interrupted experience.Thank you for everything. <3

Tears were brought through this whole process but after viewing this incredible job, I felt much better knowing that my baby 🐈⬛was being cared for by someone who genuinely loves what they do. I adore that the level of care that went into these ornaments is evident. They have my highest recommendation. As a very protective owner, it was only natural for me to look at the reviews to determine who I was giving my pet to, and I was taken aback by what I found. After viewing his prior work, I thought it was quite considerate of him to complete all these tasks for the owners, but it's obvious that not everyone is grateful. I didn’t get to talk much with Bob but I did sometimes get attitude . I didn’t care whatsoever because all I had in my head in the moment was to say goodbye to my baby and pick her urn. I think so many of these clients don’t understand that this job takes so much time and dedication , This individual clearly has been in it for years , but beacuse it is his passion (based on his work) and clearly likes to work with animals. I’m not saying others feelings aren’t valid , but simply understanding and communicating helps . Overall I had a good experience and hope everyone else does too.🫶🏻

Lost my baby Chihuahua back in June 2024. Bob was very helpful with the whole process of the cremation. I paid the $150 package and bob did so much extra stuff for no additional cost. Animal Cremation Society Of Chicago has excellent customer services and cares about our loss pets. I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone.

I am so fortunate to have found this amazing place, and am a repeat customer. This is not a place where you simply drop your beloved fur baby off and walk away. Bob goes above and beyond to help you transition your loved one to cremation. I had a bonded pair of cats. One passed 5 years ago and one passed a few days ago at the age of 17. Bob has fine tuned his craft to be even more amazing which I didn't think was possible within these 5 years. His ability to identify unique things about your baby, walk you through the process, and make you feel fully sure that they are in the best care when you leave is amazing! Paw prints are made with care to capture every special claw and the prints are done carefully. I would never go anywhere else to have someone handle my baby. I recommend this place to all who have to grieve the loss of a special member of their family. The day my baby passed away, they were closed but Bob still agreed to take in my baby. I will always be appreciative of how well he handles everything! You are never rushed. You are never going to feel like your grief is unwarranted no matter how big or small your friend is. He was kind enough to show me a print he made of a beloved beta fish :) . All private cremations! Its also affordable!

Starting from the phone call we made to schedule an appointment to say goodbye to my beloved kitty, it was a very pleasant experience. Bob was very thoughtful throughout the entire process. When we arrived, we weren't sure about what we wanted to keep of her, but as a specialist, Bob helped us realize that there were many things we could do that we later regretted not doing. He was never pushy with a sales pitch or anything like other places might be. He was just kind and helpful. We are very grateful for his service.

My dog taco has been apart of my family for 16 years. When I lost him I was devastated and I knew I wanted him to be creamated. Animal cremation society went above and beyond to make me feel comfort during this difficult time in my life. They provided an excellent service. They were able to give me his paw print. Some of his fur, and many items that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I unfortunately still have two other pets and do plan on bringing them him in the near future for this service. Hopefully it’ll be a long time before I bring them in. Thank you again for the excellent service.

The care and compassion shown during my cat's, Mamas Willow, passing were truly remarkable. Even in such a difficult time, your understanding and support meant the world to me. The cremation process was handled with the utmost respect, and the pricing was fair and transparent. I loved my cat dearly, and it was comforting to know that she was treated with such care in her final moments. I wish I had brought my first pet here. It was a complete 180 from my previous experience, and the love and respect shown were truly exceptional.

I cannot imagine a kinder person to do this work. Bob was sincere and is deeply connected to the importance of all pets and their connections to humans. He has the perfect personality for this type of work. My dog would have loved him. I feel really thankful to know that someone who was so gentle, sincere and kind was the person who took care of my sweet pups remains, its surprising how much of a difference that makes. From dropping off my dogs remains to picking them up thank you for your kindness. He was also very communicative and easy to reach.

Bob is an absolutely beautiful and genuine person with such a gentle soul. He took such great care of my pet chicken that passed away. You can tell he genuinely cares about his work and bringing peace and closure to the families putting their pets to their final rest. He took the time to individually give each member of my family a 'soul stone,' and also allowed us to ask for one extra for a friend that was close to my girl. He let us pick out jewels for her claw prints and made gorgeous imprints of each foot and he was kind enough to take the time and make us an extra impression of her little head, which was so unexpected, but so greatly appreciated. He also made several ink prints of her feet and her head, on top of everything else his single private cremation package offers before he put my little baby in a gorgeous wood urn. Because of Bob he was able to help a grieving family find some sort of light in these dark times and help us bring our girl home and at rest.Thank you so much for all that you do Bob, it takes a special person and soul to be able to do what you do. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my girl and honoring her memories.

Losing our sweet baby girl Chanel was such a difficult time for our family but thanks to Bob we were able to find peace and closure. You have no idea how grateful we are and how much this whole experience meant to our family. Bob is such a beautiful and kind soul and you can tell he puts so much love and effort in his work. He understood how hard this loss was and was so empathetic and kind. I love the fact that he kept referring to her as our “baby” because that’s exactly what she was. The day of drop off every member of the family got a soul stone which was rubbed on our sweet girls face with no charge. He also allowed us some private time to say our goodbyes. The day of pick up we were also given some extra gifts we truly appreciate; Christmas ornaments with our sweet girls ashes. This gift meant so much as our sweet baby’s birthday fell on Christmas as well. We received jewelry with our baby girls ashes, fur from many different parts of her body, paw and nose prints on paper, molded paw prints, and a nose mold which we didn’t expect but absolutely love. He also revealed to us that our girl had cancer but we had no idea; he gave us the closure that we needed to understand why our girl left us so soon. Thank you so much for everything

Very kind and delicate with my late guinea pig! I was very new with cremation for a fur baby but Bob was very respectful and took me through the process delicately. Thank you for being so gentle with my Snowball 😌

Excellent service. They helped me through the difficult process of losing my dog. They were very kind, understanding, and most importantly, they gave me emotional support by saying a prayer for my dog's rest. I recommend them 100%. Molly will always be in my heart ❤️

Bob was very kind to us when our cat passed away. He was compassionate and professional throughout this difficult process, and was also willing to spend as much as time as we needed.

Bob took such loving care of our beloved Lenny two years ago and now our son's sweet Hallie a few days ago. His sympathetic and caring nature helped us so much during our grief. We treasure the beautifully prepared cremains and the other keepsakes to remember our beloved pups.

Thank you so much for the amazing service you provided for our difficult time. Bob takes well care of your fur baby with amazing prices. You can tell he loves what he does and makes the process feel less like a transaction and more like a final goodbye for our baby. Thanks bob !

Bob did a great job taking care of my dog Rocko. I wanted nothing but the best, and I got just what I wanted for such an affordable price. He had been referred to me from my coworker who lost her dog last year and she went to Bob and said nothing but nice things about his services. He truly treats your pets with such compassion as if they are his own and that's all I wanted for my dog. This was the first time losing a pet for me so it has been a hard time, but he made the process so easy. I have 2 other dogs and I will definitely be coming to him again.

My wife and I have used Animal Cremation Society Of Chicagoland twice in the last four years. We highly recommend them. Director Bob Shaw is very professional and thorough, but also very caring and compassionate during a stressful and sad time for pet owners. Their prices are very affordable and include numerous extras which Shaw carefully constructs. We would never think of going anywhere else. Thank you for everything, Bob!

Today was my first time ever going to a place for animals cremations. My mother have been working at a funeral home for over 20 years, so I understand and feel for people when it comes to losing their love ones. The older gentleman Bob was very benevolence, considerate, and patient toward his customers. He took his time assisting everyone he had encountered while working. I was there with a friend today due to a cat name Arthur who had passed away a month go. I had given my friend Arthur 11 in a half years ago when he was a baby. My mother would not let me keep cats because I am allergic to cats, but I am also an animal lover. The picture I post of Arthur will be kind of hard to see because when I upgrade my phone, a lot of my pictures and contacts had erased from my phone. I just want to say God continue to bless this facilities establishment, and also Thanks to God for creating people Like Bob, he’s such a loving, and caring person that God has gifted. We took our beloved rabbit to be memorialized. Walking in the door we felt a sense of peace. The process was handled in a gentle and loving manner. We had no concerns leaving her there, knowing we would return to bring her home. Thank you ever so much.

Picked up my Lulu today from Animal Cremation Society. They were so kind and generous making memorabilia for my pet hamster, gifting me many extras. They perform little ceremonies here when you hand off and pick up too that make the passing of a beloved pet much easier. These people are incredibly thoughtful, and I think going to them for my hamster’s cremation really helped me to honor her memory.

4/15/24 BikoUnfortunately and fortunately I had to revisit the Animal Cremation Society and Bob Shaw who was an amazing person throughout my process of grieving of our family's late dog Biko. He went the extra mile again and again to provide the same processing as Clove. With the package coming included with: A Spirit Globe, Spirit Stones necklaces, clay paws and face, ink paw prints and face, scattering ashes, keychains to carry him wherever we go, and of course the best Urn to remember Biko by. Please visit the Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland, I cannot recommend their services enough and helping us create an amazing memorabilia to remember Biko by.5/25/23 CloveThe crematory is a great place and service when you have to say goodbye to your loved ones. We recently lost our Guinea pig Clove and the service here is amazing. They provided a package bundle for cremating our Guinea pig, such as: selection of urns, necklaces with spirit stones, ornaments, clay paws and face, ink paw prints, and patches of fur to forever remember her by. I'll come back here in the future for their services.

August 5th 2023 , my Dog Balt passed away from lung cancer. I was a wreck, most places were not open when I was calling for cost of services. I called the Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland, Bob was kind and answered all my questions. He walked me through step-by-step of services provided. We were able to have our pup dropped off later that morning. When we got there he was very empathetic to what we were going through. His keep sakes helped me feel like I had a piece of my fur baby while we waited to have his ashes returned to us. His prices fit my budget after spending hundreds on treatment for my pup. I happily received him today. I highly recommend the Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland. It was beautiful, I could tell Bob had taken great care of Balt. I was glad he was in such great and caring hands.

Coming to this place is the last place you want to visit with your pet. It brought me peace when I talked to Bob. He is very passionate about his work. He will take good care of both owners and their fur babies after drop off. He had many gifts he will gift you when you go home with your fur baby. He really did make my wife and I feel we were reunited with our dog who passed. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It’s everything you need for closure. He actually gave me closure unexpectedly. One of the photos below I posted was parts of my dogs ashes. I was wondering why there was a turquoise-green color. He tell me my fur baby had cancer. I didn’t know that til Bob told me. He said when cancer burns, it turns into that color. My dog was healthy just two weeks before his passing and had his annual check ups recently. But Bobs findings really helped me answer some questions on my dogs passing. Thank you Bob for everything you do.

Bob is something special and gave me comfort throughout the entire process. I knew Tabitha (our ferret) was not only in good hands, but caring and loving hands 🥲

We picked up my baby boy Frisco today from Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland today, and honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my baby. They only do single pet cremation, and we got to see the place they do the cremation which brought us a lot of peace and reassurance that he would be properly cared for. When we dropped Frimskim off yesterday, the owner Bob had us pick out a bunch of beautiful pendants with a different variety of stones, and he performed a ritual where he rubbed the pendants onto his fur and placed his paw to each pendant, creating soul stones we could wear around our necks and give to all the people who cared about him.He had us decorate his ceramic paw prints/nose prints with charms we got to pick out ourselves that reminded us of him as well.He made over a dozen ink prints of all his paws and his nose, and gave us clippings of fur throughout his body, and made us keychains with the fur inside of it. He also made us a Christmas ornament with his fur and ashes in it. He gave us the beautiful wooden urn pictured to carry the majority of his ashes, but he also gave us a scattering tube with some ashes in it because I wanted to spread some ashes in the same place I’d like my ashes to be scattered when I pass.By far though, of ANYTHING else he provided, it was closure. He gave me a small packet filled with these dark turquoise-colored clumps, and asked me if I knew how he passed. I said I didn’t know, and he told me that cancer can survive cremation by showing up as these dark turquoise stones. I’ve been carrying nonstop guilt knowing I couldn’t afford to actually diagnose my baby, and thinking that I would go on the rest of my life never knowing what he had killed me inside. And after dealing with an extremely exploitative emergency vet system, it was truly reassuring to deal with Bob who seemed incredibly honest and caring. & Knowing now that it was cancer, I feel soooooo much more inner peace. Because even if we had known, there wouldn’t have been anything we could do at this late stage. Bob Shaw, the owner of the cremation business, was so empathetic and helpful and truly if anyone ever needs to get a pet cremated, I couldn’t recommend his place more.Memorium:My dear baby Frisco crossed the rainbow bridge in his sleep. We tried everything we could. Bottle feedings every two hours, IV bags, all the medication. But it was his time, like all dogs, to go to heaven.Oh…. My sweet baby boy. My rumplefrimskim. My pumpkin cheesecake slice. My limp frimskit. You fought so hard. Momma really tried. I’m so heartbroken. I’ll never forget holding you in my arms on the way home from the pound, seeing your big beautiful brown puppy dog eyes look up at me. In that moment, I knew we would be together until the very end.He had been keeping up his energy and going for walks until he took a turn for the worse last night. He couldn’t stand up himself anymore, was panting very hard, and we knew his time was coming to an end. We repositioned him for comfort and sat with him, speaking softly to him, and gently petting him until he calmed himself to sleep. His bonded baby sister Kari sat in between us, ears back, with an instinctual look of worry and understanding of the situation. We wanted to make sure she got closure too. And my eldest cat Ninja weaved around us while rubbing up against us, purring like a lawn meower. I think he understood he needed to provide his healing energy and moral support as we tried to hold it together comforting Frisco. He lived the good life, with lots of walks, tons of tasty treats, playtime with his baby sister, trips to the beach, vacations in the wilderness, running through fields and the woods, and playing with his favorite toys. He was so smart, caring, and sweet. The truest definition of a good boy. He was the yang to my wild and rambunctious baby girl huskey’s yin. His absence will leave an emptiness that can never be filled.I love you so much my sweet baby 💔 rest in peace

I lost my fur baby in May overnight. She was sick and I woke up to her being gone at 5am. I called this place and a woman (I forgot her name but she was a great help) answered and was able to book me an appointment the same day to drop my baby off. Bob gave us a wonderful and thoughtful ceremony and ample time to say goodbye to my pet. We got a plethora of keepsakes to remember her by without costing an arm and a leg. I will forever be grateful to Bob and whoever he works with for taking this part of the grieving process off my hands. Rest in peace BMO💛🕊️

Highly recommend for the final stages ôf furbabies journey. Reasonable prices. More importantly they understand the grief youre going through. Beautiful selection of urns / momentos. The front office is very small and reminds me of a mom& pop, not posh. Bob is very professional and yet down to earth comfortable person. He puts in abit of his soul with each furbaby. The only downside is the opening road to his place looks like a private entrance or could be hard to miss in heavy traffic. If you pass the wall/ gates of cemetery you went to far . after turning in the drive past the house and towards the low building with headstones . entrance is on the side beautiful blue door.

Thank you so much Bob. You were so kind throughout the whole process. He walked us through every item included in the package. He made this process much easier for our family. He includes prints of our babies paws and nose, her ashes, her fur, spirit necklaces, and more. I highly recommend supporting his business. It is cheaper than other cremation places as well.

I picked up my baby a few days ago and this man has done an awesome job with my baby. He even gave me a few more extra items to remember him more. The light necklace and the face pictures are my favorite items along with a key chain, Sprit globe, his paw prints, The bird song box, and a few other items. I would recommend anyone who has a pet baby who has passed on to call him. He will definitely take of them like his own. Thank you 😊

I cannot say enough amazing things about Bob and the services he provides. He truly is an angel and was there for us in our time of need. Our bird passed away on a Saturday. We called Bob on Sunday and he stayed late to meet us. Bob offered us one day rush service even though it was already late in the day he could tell we wanted our little man back. We did the full package and Bob made it happen, even adding in extras for us as he thought we would like them, which we did. Bob does a ceremony with you and gives you time to say goodbye. Everything was so heartfelt and real. You can tell that every single animal is special, and he treats them with the love and care that you have yourself for your pets. In a time of such sadness, my husband and I were truly grateful to have found this service. Thank you so much for everything you did for our family, Bob.

Bob did a great job with my cat Luna. He and his staff are very sweet and caring. When I picked her up, he provided me with so many nice things to take home, clippings of her fur, an engraved paw print, and then a bunch of mementos with her fur and ashes. Everything was very thoughtful. I’m so happy that something like this exist for all of our pets that passed away.

Phenomenal service. It’s evident how much they care for our rainbow babies. The service was beautiful and we were offered so much in the package. I have lots of furry children and I don’t want to think of them not being here anymore, but it feels good knowing I will have someplace kind and loving to go to when their time to leave this planet comes. Thank you.

We are immensely grateful for the invaluable support we received from Bob during a challenging time as we coped with the loss of our beloved five-year-old pup, Howie. Bob's exceptional service played a pivotal role in helping our family navigate through this difficult period. His efficiency in managing the entire process, coupled with his down-to-earth sympathy and care during the cremation and pickup of our cherished family member, truly made a significant difference.Opting for Bob's top-tier package has proven to be a decision we don't regret, as we now treasure each unique piece that memorializes Howie. Just wanted to say thanks to Bob and the Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland for bringing closure in our time of need. Our dog Timon passed away on March 30, 2023. I called ahead of time to set up an appointment and he was available the next day. He was kind enough to text us the directions to get to there. Very detailed directions, hard to miss. He took Timon in right away and he went through all the details of what we were going to receive in the package that we paid for. In our case he gave us custom paw prints, Snips of fur, cremation scattering tube, Pet Urn, necklace (soul stone) for each family member and ink paw prints on paper. He was kind enough to give us an extra nose print and a ball ornament with our dogs ashes. I highly recommend the Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland, Bob was patient and kind to us. He truly loves what he does and he helps families put their pets to their final rest. Thank you again for all you do and for taking care our pet and our family.

This man was so kind and compassionate the minute we arrived with my best bud. He kept calling my dog my "baby" which was just so nice. He did a sweet ceremony before we said goodbye to my dogs body and let us say goodbye until we were ready to go without rush. He does personal cremations so each animal gets cremated on their own so I know his ashes are his own. And the items we received has helped our mourning process. Highly recommend this place.

Very comforting experience. Bob is such a kind man. Took very care of our little angel Mattie Mae. :)

We lost our young baby Pluto too soon. Losing him was tragic for us but the patience, support, and compassion received by Bob was surely needed. Thank you 😊

From my first call to Bob, to the day I picked up our dogs ashes, it has been a smooth process but most importantly, the kindness, and empathy shown by Bob and the driver was above and beyond. I can't recommend them enough. It is painful to lose a beloved pet, but I felt comfort in the kindness shown by the employees at the Cremation Society. Very grateful for your kind service and recommend anyone going through a pet loss to consider them. Thank you!

There’s a reason this place has such high ratings. Bob is AMAZING. I lost my cat Fluffy suddenly after 17 years. I called in tears and he was patient and empathetic. He text detailed instructions on how to get there. Once I got there, there was a line. And honestly the kindness of those strangers and Bob got me through the day. They sympathized with me through their own loss and gave me hugs. Bob walked me through all the offerings and gave me last moments with my kitty before he took her. I picked her up today and everything they gave was beautifully done. Thank you to everyone ❤️

Bob was empathetic, sweet, amazing, and honestly magical. Made this whole awful process of losing an animal easier. I know my kitty was in good hands and treated with respect and kindness. He gave us so many trinkets and mementos that I will cherish forever.Thank you to bob and his team for being so great and magical through the whole process.

Thank you to Animal Cremation Society of Chicago and especially to Bob. Bob handled my cat Louie 's passing with compassion and caring. I was especially touched by the time you took to create many wonderful items to remember him by . Those items eased the pain of losing my buddy . I appreciate very much the service you provided and I highly recommend you.

Thank you 😊
Kimberly Felker
Bob did a great job! I felt like I was leaving my baby in great hands. The cost for service was very affordable, in this day of 20.00 burgers! Thanks Bob for your service and compassion (John the 23 year old cat is back home now)

We lost our boy after a long battle with illness, I'm truly thankful for Bob and the care he took with Lysander. He offers a huge amount of sentimental items and is very gentle and walks you through each step of the process. He made a very difficult time a lot easier and I will always be thankful for that

I miss him so much , but now I feel at peace . Thank you animal cremation . I do not remember the last names who answer the phone , but you are extremely sympathetic and loving . Thank you to you as well .

We picked up our boy Kiko this afternoon, and I can't speak highly enough about Animal Cremation Society of Chicago and Bob. His caring and compassion was so warm and welcome as we made arrangements for our precious boy. The special touches like the little ceremony he held, the memento trinkets, paw print plaster casts, and so many other little things brought us great peace. This man is the real deal when it comes to caring about animals, and I highly recommend his service. It's a small operation, but we met two other groups of pet people before and after our appointment. All seemed obviously as comforted as we did. All of my pet parent friends will hear about ACS from us. Please call Bob if you find yourself in need of these services. Jan

I had the absolutely best experience here. Bob was very kind and understanding when we brought my Sammy this past Saturday. He explained and showed us everything that was included with the price. In the included price, we received 2 clay paw prints, stones with her ashes on them, ink prints of her paws, snippets of fur, and spirit stones. There is a metal urn that is included but we opted for the wooden one as it has a slot for memories such as pictures or a collar if it fits. He always referred to Sammy as our baby and not just our pet or dog which really meant a lot. I did purchase some extra clay prints as well. He was kind enough to also include a nose print which wasn’t initially asked for. When we went to pick up Sammy, he went through every single item that he had made. I will definitely be bringing my other fur baby when her time comes.Highly recommend bringing your babies as well, he definitely treats them with love. Thank you so much Bob, I wish your business the absolute best.

He was kind and understanding. He gave us spirit stones/necklaces for our puppy and also came with a crystal that he put our pups ashes in and a scattering tube. He consoled my GF bc she was crying a lot. He did stay open for us and was not rude about it. My GF appreciated everything he did and asked for a hug before leaving. We are really freaking glad we went here!

The passing of our beloved friend was very unexpected and everyone in the family was distraught but with the wonderful service Bob provided for my family and I, we’re able to still have our best friend with us. All the thoughtful pieces provided and the compassion given to us is very appreciated. Thank you for your wonderful service!

I HIGHLY recommend bringing your fur babies to Bob. Bob went out of his way to comfort us the day we brought in our old man cat. He was sincere, caring, compassionate and handled our big guy with care and love. Bob gifted us with tokens to remember the moment by and was very professional yet so understanding. When we went to pick up Trouble's ashes, we were given so much more. We received the ashes, in an urn, clay pawprint impressions, snippets of his fur and whiskers, personalized keychains and an ornament, and a bunch of ink pawprints and nose prints 💗 we were given so much comfort in knowing that Bob was the best person to last hold our fur baby. And for anyone concerned about pricing, he was affordable!! Unlike a lot of other places out here trying to take advantage of people while they are grieving..Thank you so much for what you do Bob. The world needs more people like you.

THIRD AND FINAL UPDATE: I have been to the Animal Cremation Society three times in the past year and a half. I lost my last cat on 9-17-22, and took her remains back to Bob. As per my last two visits, Bob beautifully memorialized my little dusty.UPDATE REVIEW: Unfortunately, I lost another cat, Jolene, within one month of loosing Chuck. However, lucky for my family, Bob has memorialized our lovely and beloved Jolene. He took such good care of her, the same way he took care of Chuck. Thank you once again, for your services Bob. Our little angel is in heaven with her sister Chuck.I lost my beloved little Chuck last week and I'm happy I found Bob to help me celebrate her spirit. He is such a compassionate human, and the way he helped my husband and I was impeccable. He was so informative and kind over the phone and in person. He took such good care of my beloved little girl. It's never easy when loosing a pet, but Bob helped us with the hardest part. I now have her remains, paw prints, fur, clay prints, and more. Thank you so much for memorializing my little Chuck - we appreciate it very much!

Bob was kind and honest from the moment we called him. Losing my cat was devastating, but I never doubted that he was in good hands when I brought him here. I really appreciated how Bob went above and beyond to provide us with options for keepsakes and he even honored a special request we had. You never want to have to use a service like this, but I would recommend him to anyone.

We extend our deepest thanks to Bob for his compassion and professionalism during this emotional journey.

Showed up late in the day due to traffic. So stressed and saddened by our cats passing the night before. Bob was open and caring for our Families loss. Cradled him when he took him in and shared some heartfelt thoughts. Will recommend to all who may need this service. His dedication is apparent and sorely needed for pet owners.

My mom had a very hard time to say goodbye to her 17 years old true friend. Your kindness and attention to details made this difficult task to go as painless as possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! I've also lost my dog to the illness and he was beautiful and still young. Bob made a lot of memory keepsakes. I felt some peace in my hearts when I brought home his remains and set the lantern with his fur and ash on my porch. Thank you for your understanding and all the things I have now to keep the memory alive in my heart and my home.

We were satisfied with Bob’s service and the full package that we chose. We appreciate the little ceremony that he does and that he lets us say our goodbyes. We took our D’Ogee in on July and sadly had to go back a second time in August for our Shorty. Bob made sure that we were able to bring both of our fur babies home together.

I wish I could give Bob and his service 10 stars. I would if I could and no this is NOT a fake review as one person suggested. Have it not been for Bob who helped me in the last minute and when I was desperate and at a loss, I would have spent twice as much for a sterile service from the vet and zero keepsakes and a who knows where she would have been dumped.....Bob was the very last thing my baby needed here and he made sure she went out with a lot of memories left behind ;-)))damaged soul and Bob addressed all that and more.I got super nice service, personal service all around, low price (less than half of some competition), everything that I could have expected and more, a bunch of souvenirs and keepsakes, stuff to cherish and play with allowing me to take my kitty more places now than I was able to when she was around. This place is conveniently located in Chicago, Cook county close to expressway and public transportation. There is also a CTA train nearby. I will recommend Bob to all of my friends with pets, as this is the very best service your 'baby' can get at he end of the road :-))

We lost our baby Oscar on July 4, 2023 very suddenly. I contacted Bob and he was very caring and compassionate about the loss of our dog. Bob told us to bring him in that afternoon. He held a little ceremony with us for Oscar and really eased our spirits. When we came to pick up our Oscar Bob had paw and nose prints in plaster as well as other keepsakes to remember our Oscar. I highly recommend Bob and his services he truly cares about your loss and how he can help in your time of grieving.

I am so grateful to the animal cremation society for helping me through this tough time. My dog passed away suddenly November 3rd and Bob answered my late nights phone call inquiring about their services. He agreed to meet me early the next morning. I can’t thank Bob enough for his kindness. He answered my questions and made this whole process very easy considering the circumstances. He had everything ready a few days later. I purchased and urn which looks great. He made little paw prints, and cut pieces of hair for my family, and even including some pendants with pups ashes. I was able to make a shadow box and put everything Bob made in my living room. Thank you so much Bob! I love sitting in my living room and being able to see my little baby.

Around Thanksgiving my tiny baby passed away. He was our beloved class pet. Its taken me some time to write this, but I am so thankful for the kindness and generosity of Animal Cremation Society of Chicago. All the momentos to remember Hammy by are greatly appreciated. I did not initially select an urn, but was told I couldn't leave without one. We choose the most artsy one to remember our little art class loving hamster by. Much appreciated and thank you so much for everything! -Julia, Liam, and students of Palmer 💙

Losing a pet is never easy, but Animal Cremation Society brought some peace to our hearts with their dedicated, empathetic approach to ensuring our baby is at peace. The man who assisted us was very caring and knows what it’s like to lose a loved pet. He provided things like fur, ink prints, spirit stones, extra keychains, etc. all with the idea of preserving our pet’s memory. Service was TRULY above and beyond. I am so incredibly grateful to ACS and would recommend to anyone who has lost a beloved pet 🤍 Thank you ACS!

I can not even begin to express my joy and love for Bob and the services provided by the society. Bob's kind, gentle, compassionate and respectful approach to honoring and celebrating the life of your cherished pet is beyond words. He took the passing of our beloved cat, Sox she treated her like a cherished member of his own family and helped us mourn and honor her memory. He took her and treated her gently and assured us that she now at peace, he performed a brief ritual and then handed us these beautiful crystals to remind us of her and to help us continue to cherish she love her. The level of compassion and love her showed was unparalleled and is indicative of a man deeply committed to helping your loved ones cross the rainbow bridge. He answered any and all questions without hesitation and assured us that he would do right in honoring our beloved cat. Going that extra mile helped us in the time of unparalleled grief to come to acceptance of her passing and helped us just as much to continue grieving. When it came time to pick up Sox's remains, we were simply Blown Away by just how much time and effort he put in to honor our pet and all the pets in his charge. The Box had so many memories and he even made us pendants using clippings of her fur for us to take and continue to honor her. The urn that we selected was simply beautiful as were the paw prints with the pendants that were set in plaster. He also included clippings of her fur and whiskers and ink prints on beautiful cards of her paws and nose. So much was included that insured that she would have a proper place with many things to help honor her. So much attention to detail and love was put into the box that it was clearly evident that he pours his heart and soul into honoring our beloved pets. Many places would have charged double even triple the amount he charged. It shows that this is a mission of love for him and that he is committed to helping people grieve and honor their beloved pets. The facility is simple yet filled with love and compassion and has a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Bob is a kind and compassionate person who will go above and beyond to help anyone who has lost a pet. We found him to be a wonderful person to talk to and to deal with. We left with tears in our eyes and peace in our heart that Sox was treated with love and honor in her journey across the rainbow bridge. It sounds cliche, but Bob is an angel, there are no other words to describe him.I highly recommend him and his services when the time comes for your beloved pet to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I don't think there is anyone else in Chicago or even this state that could match his level of compassion and love.On behalf of our family and our beloved Sox, we want to simply say Thank You Bob for so that you have done and continue to do. We are honored by your help and compassion and can not speak enough praise for the work you and the society do for our pets and for us. May the universe continue to bless you and watch over you and those who you help.

Bob is the best. So personable and very considerate. I was understandably distraught when I found my sweet girl unresponsive one morning and talking to an emergency vet, they told me she passed away. It was early and I was so sad and in a panic since she was gone in my arms. I called the Animal Cremation Society and while it was around 6am, Bob told me he was on his way to the crematorium & I could come straight in and start the process of getting her memorial package and cremation started. They don’t open til 9 so I was incredibly relieved. The process was super somber but Bob made it so easy. He respects the religious and spiritual needs of the family and he kept calling her my angel and baby. It was hard to keep my composure and he affirmed my feelings were natural and I was comforted throughout. I was able to get my pet in and although I was given a 7-10 day estimate on retrieving her remains, it took a less than a week. I give the highest of praises to Bob and his team. I could not have made it without their care and expertise. Thanks again.

The gentleman absolutely guided us and our sweet baby across the bridge with the best and sweetest care. I felt so lucky and appreciative that he was there with us the whole way and felt my baby was sent off the best way possible and in the best care. True care taker of the dead.

Bob is a wonderful person. From the moment Bob answered our call to the moment we received Lilo's ashes, he was professional, kind and compassionate. He truly went above and beyond our expectations. I received ashes, whiskers, and paw prints; all so beautifully put together. I am forever grateful to him for helping our family.

I never write reviews but I have to say when my cat Sirius died, may he rest in peace, I was lost, he helped me get thru my parents passing and was all I had left really. I miss him so much. And when I called to cremation society to ask about the process everyone I spoke to there seemed very kind and helpful but Bob most of all, he really helped me get through my grief and now I have more than just my memories to think of when I'm down. I don't think I read any reviews when I was looking for someone to help, but if you're reading this, if you really loved your pet and you need someone to help you with their passing, do contact Animal Cremation Society, they do care, and know that it will get better.

My bird, Jeri, passed away unexpectedly about a month ago. I contacted Bob and he was able to schedule us the next day - even with it being a Saturday. Bob was kind and empathetic throughout the entire process and it was clear that he truly has a passion for people and their pets. All of his work is individualized, hand-crafted, and meaningful. I am extremely happy with the services he provided and the peace of mind I had in knowing that Jeri was handled with care and love.

It took some time for me to write this as I could not find the right words in my grief. My Tyson passed suddenly on 12/17. The next morning I made a few calls and after speaking with Bob decided that's where I would take My Tyson. Bob was very compassionate and understanding of everything. I took Tyson in and felt Bob would take care him. In all I have some very beautiful keep sakes left of My Tyson. His paw prints ashes, his Fur, special stones and a beautiful light so My Tyson keeps on shinning. All these things I will cherish for ever. God sends you to the right people at the right time. Thank you Bob for everything you are very much appreciated 🙏 Highly recommended for your fur baby to pass on.

Our precious chinchilla Luna, gone but never forgotten. Thank you for helping us cope with this sudden loss. Thank you again Bob, highly recommend.🤧❤️

I don't typically write reviews but had to share just how beautiful the service I received from Bob at Animal Cremation Society was. I highly recommend their services to anyone considering their options to memorialize your fur baby & their loving memory. Bob was so very kind & thoughtful as a person & in the services provided as tribute to my passed kitty. Can not say enough how appreciated all was at such a difficult time.

Animal Cremation Society went well beyond my expectations of what I believe just to be a basic cremation. My pup crossed the rainbow on a Friday morning around 2am. Called ACS around 6 am and had an appointment that same day. Brought my pup in, and the man I spoke with was more that sympathetic to my situation. After dropping off, I walked away with paw prints and other trinkets to help memorialize my pup. Received a call on Saturday to make an appointment to pick up the remains.I was offered a cute bamboo urn to put her ashes in. I received additional paw-prints, 2 keychains with ashes and other gifts to memorialize my pup. This was well beyond my expectations of having a loved one cremated.I would highly recommend.

Bob was so helpful and caring, he understood what I needed in my difficult time. He made everything easy and thanks to him I can keep my baby for the rest of my days! Thank you Animal cremation Society of Chicagoland.

This has been an amazing experience at such a difficult time. The owner was so kind and was willing to make a custom piece with my sugar gliders skull that I so desperately wanted. This truly warmed my heart. The owner also answers the phone even late at night when I knew that I was going to have to make the difficult decision to put my baby down. He told me I could bring her the next day and created beautiful keepsakes of her paw prints on ink and clay. He does great custom work and has many urn boxes to select from. Thank you for your help during this time. I appreciate you so much. I highly recommend animal cremation society of Chicagoland

Our cat Inara passed sunday afternoon on Memorial Day Weekend and we didn't know what to do or even if anyone was open to help us. I found this place on Google just looking for a place that was open and can help. Thankfully when I called not only did someone answer on the holiday weekend but they were super helpful and what to do and setup an appointment for the next morning. I was just looking to get her cremated and put in a urn but they really went above and beyond with paw prints set in clay, fur clippings, and few extra keepsakes. I can't recommend them enough.

Staff are professional and extremely kind during an already stressful time. The ceremony that was offered during drop off and when I went back to pick up my pet’s ashes were wonderful. 10/10 would recommend.

I highly recommend this company to usher your baby into the next chapter of its life.I was and am still beyond devastated at the passing of my precious baby but this company really helped me get closure and I felt completely secure with them handling his body.Everything is a very reasonable price and the scheduling and flexibility is top tier.I was crying and emotional and barely able to fill out the form but he was so patient and really listened to what I wanted. When going through one of the hardest days of your life you will want this company there to provide upstanding service.Thank you so much for what you did for my Buster! Thank you for how you treated me and my family during the drop off and pick up.I hope this company and it's quality stay around for a long long time.

Very caring and made the process easy. I'm glad they offered additional services other than just cremation. I was able to have my pet's fur and and paw prints in items I can have around.

My baby died on a holiday weekend but they were open for business and Bob took really good care of him! I was a complete mess but Bob was patient and caring during the preparation, even gave my Max a memorial before I left! Highly recommended Animal Cremation Society!! Each time I went there was a line (few ahead) waiting for service but no complaints 👌

For my precious puppy , she was in the best hands. Bobby was the best of the best. He told his time and allowed myself (owner to process ). Everything from her fur , nose prints, paw prints , bones fragments, and more I have. I could not ask for anyone better to handle my baby. I walked out with clay tablets, paper ink paws , a case to have her in, blow pieace of glass with her ashes in, fur, tubs. And purchased additional items such as necklaces and urns.

This is my 2nd time going to Bob and he is by far the best in this business! He is a one-man system who takes THOROUGH care into each animal he handles! I love him, will always recommend him, and will go to no one else but him! ❤️

Bob was amazing! He made an extremely difficult time a little easier. We lost our Kadee 🐈 unexpectedly & he even listened to me cry like a baby without making me feel foolish. He takes the time to clip fur, make 🐾s in clay & on paper, as well as only giving you cremanes of your pet, no other mixed in. He is a truly caring man who gives the same care to your beloved pet. Highly recommend him & will definitely use him when needed in the future for my other pets.

Bob was absolutely wonderful throughout this whole process. My baby Hendrix passed away and we came to him for the cremation. We didn't realize we had to make an appointment, but Bob took care of us anyway and was extremely kind and thoughtful. The memorabilia he made is so beautiful and represents our late beautiful boy so well. It's never easy dealing with the loss of a pet, nay a family member, but Bob helped to ease the pain and I cannot be more grateful to him.

Bob was great. My pet quaker parrot, Zazu, unexpectedly passed on Monday. By Wednesday I had all of these beautiful ways to remember my little guy. He even gifted me with the wooden box for his ashes, which doesn’t normally come standard with the cremation services. Bob really brought me some peace in this extremely upsetting experience, and I am so grateful.

Bob has empathy and compassion at a time when is most needed. During this difficult time of my cat passing away , Bob made an acceptance and let me bring my Mikos in the early time slot to have her cremated. I was able to see the cremation and the aftercare bob pervaded felt personal and healing to me..

I am so happy with the amazing job and time promises. They provide me with so much details that include the angel light with my baby fur, the pendents with his ashes. Very Happy with the service provided for my baby Shiloh.

They did a great job with my cat Kuzma, eased my pain. The trinkets, ink blots and hair were a bit much, but maybe some people like that…. Good price as well

Bob was extremely kind and accommodating. We lost our dear baby yesterday. This was the only crematorium that offered to give the ash right away, and we even received his paw print, and a tube of of his ash to spread at a place of our choice and pieces of his fur in a ziplock. We were happy with the services and everything that came in the package he offered. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Bob and Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland.- Roselle

My queen past away from Cancer on September 14. Within the same day I called to set an appointment for her cremation. What I enjoyed most about my appointment was the small intimate ceremony before leaving my baby to taken care of! I received a call when her ashes was ready to be given back to me in the earn I picked out along with other gifts of my baby like her precious paws prints and fur. I am so thankful for the service provided. It is an experience I will never forget. Thanks again.❤️❤️

I can't say enough about my experience here with Bob. He has a gift and I am so grateful that I found him. He goes above and beyond and treats every pet with the respect, care, and dignity they deserve. He really puts his heart into his work and at a very affordable price. I was surprised and amazed at everything he gave us to remember our sweet girl Daisy, from the paw prints, fur clippings, whiskers, and the necklaces, charms and stones that I will forever treasure. It took a bit long for me to write this review, as losing a pet is obviously one of the hardest things to go through, but Bob definitely made the process a bit easier and I will be forever grateful to him for his service.I only wish I knew about this place for my previous pets that have passed, but so glad I know now ❤️
