I used MetroEast services for the cremation of mother whom passed away 1/1/25. I live out of state which makes it a whole other level of difficult and this is the first loss of a parent, navigating these challenging times were made a little less stressful with the help from Shen at MetroEast Mortuary. He was prompt with great response time during the holidays. He was empathetic and kind with the whole process. I would recommend their services if you find yourself in need. Thank you again!

Absolutely fantastic! When my mother recently passed away there was a disconnect with a pre paid service ( not their fault) Shen Williams stepped in. He was incredibly responsive and empathetic! Highly recommend! Working with Shen was a terrific experience!

When my father passed in 5/2023. I had no clue where to start. A friend referred me to Metroeast Mortuary, because she had used them prior for her father’s home going planning’s ,as well as her grandmother’s. Charisse and staff made the process of making the arrangements for my father smooth, easy and they were also comforting and understanding during the entire process. Afterwards they even reached out to check on me months after the fact which I truly appreciated. I would recommend them to everyone!

I lost my mother on February 15, 2024. It took 4 days to find someone to help me, because I've never dealt with something like this before..Metro East Mortuary helped with no hesitation at all. I didnt expect this! When you contacted me to see how our family was doing and if we needed extra support, that was so thoughtful, sweet and just mind blowing! But, for the most part, Im doing good and so are our extended families! We are keeping in touch with each other, supporting each other, and reflecting on the recent loss of several family members: our niece in 2019, a brother in 2020, nephew 2021, nephew in 2022, brother in 2023 and Ed in 2024! And while our family is facing a very challenging journey ahead of us, to say the least, we realize this is a real and non negotiable part of life! Many family members and others spoke at the Repass about the impressive components of your presentation, which did not go unnoticed! To begin, on the head panel, inside the casket, you placed a photo insert of our brother which was very admirable during the viewing. Secondly, on the outside of the casket, you included a gold plated engraving of our brother's name which was a sweet and personal touch and last, but not least, before the recessional began, the draping of the flag over the casket was very honorable! These special memories will serve as a deeply honored keepsake forever!And though your presentation, personal touch and professionalservices was above and beyond during Ed's homegoing, I must say now that it's this thoughtful after care of reaching out to our family with sincere ongoing concern, prayers and support that did it for me!SO THANK YOU Metro East Mortuary! I was impressed that a representative was able to be reached late at night and was able to be reached upon request. Metro did an outstanding job on my mother. Charisse and Shen and the entire staff there are excellent. In a time where my family was lost they stepped right in and gave us the inspiration prayed with and for us. They made sure that we knew that they were here for us even after the services was over. They still check in on us from time to time and let us know that if we need anything that they are always here to help. My uncle passed unexpectedly and my family and I were faced with planning his services. Shen Williams at Metroeast Mortuary was suggested to me but I wasn't sure because I'd never heard of that mortuary before. I spoke to Shen and from the beginning, he made me feel like family. He reassured me that my uncle would be cared for properly and that he would stay with me through the entire process. It didn't matter what time of day, or what the request was, he always came through for me. Very rarely do I say I didn't have 1 complaint about anything but I truly didn't. He has excellent customer service, is prompt and is willing to go the extra mile. I especially love how attentive he was to my granny in helping her get through the process. My uncle's homegoing was a true celebration, as promised. The special touches Shen and his team added, made this occasion a great memory for my entire family.

Metro put my family at ease. This was the best experience ever. My so s funeral is still being talked about! I would recommend this funeral home to anyone that looses a loved one. No one else can compare. I never been to a funeral that displayed a memorial table, a obituary that looked like a magazine. His casket was sitting on glass lite up with color we had on. Simply beautiful. It was worth every $. I will only use Metroeast for my family❤

I would highly recommend Metroeast Mortuary. Our dear brother was in a nursing home and his cerebral palsy took control of his body. After spending 10 days in the hospital and 10 days in hospice he passed away very peacefully. We are out of state and dear sweet Charisse and Elizabeth made it possible to finalize our brothers funeral. Even in the early morning of his passing, they went above and beyond to stayed in touch throughout the next 72 hours. He was brought back to us quickly, so our family could have some peace. They are so kind and compassionate and even checked on us to see how we were doing. It is hard enough to lose a loved one and with Covid and being so far away it was next to impossible to imagine having to plan a funeral. Thanks to the good, kind people of Metroeast Mortuary, our family is at peace and feel as if our brother was taken care of with dignity. Our family will be forever grateful. Let me first take the time to say thank you, thank you, thank you Shen Williams and Metroeast Mortuary. Shen was very connected with me and my family, caring, professional and compassionate. When I thought this process was going to be the hardest thing to do, Shen ensured me he would be by my side until the end and he did just that. My mom looked as if she was sleeping peacefully. They were able to answer questions about paperwork and called me back immedialey when I needed them. They contacted my family after receiving ashes of loved ones. THEY WERE GREAT. I cannot say enough about using this company. My father passed away and am so glad I found them They were caring and so helpful going well above and beyond. It was surprising how insensitive other places were when I called them inquiring about services. I can honestly say they made this process so much easier for me. I haven’t even gotten to talk about the price!! So much less expensive than others and they didn’t nickel a dime me either. My father was a veteran and they coordinated everything for me at no extra charge while other companies wanted an additional fee. They responded quickly my questions and even managed to get me prayer cards that I forgot all about the day of! I’ve referred them to others and would highly recommend them.

Our beloved daughter passed away in June at 58 years of age. Her wish was to be cremated. Our knowledge of choosing the best establishment for this purpose was non-existent and our funds were meager. I made several calls of enquiry before chancing upon MetroEast. Miss Elizabeth and Miss Charisse were concerned and helpful, plus their fees were within our budget. Everyone was incredibly caring during each step of the procedure. The service was beautiful, you stayed for the entire thing in the cold which I don't think any other funeral home has done even in good weather. Mr. Williams and the (Metro East Mortuary) staff did and excellent job working with my family with the sudden loss of my Father Mr. Coleman. He worked with us financially and more to be able to send my dad off in the best way. Amazing experience. Very professional. Caring. Thoughtful. Highly recommend.I live out of state and metroeast service was so helpful and efficient. I had just traveled over 1100 hundred miles after being with a family member for a week at the hospital only to get home to a computer that had gone completely out. I not only needed death certificates for her but also some from her husband ,along with a memorial charm. Metroeast(charisse) without any hesitation took it upon themselves to find these items for me. I couldn't believe how compassionate and helpful they were. I recieved everything in perfect condition. I cant say enough how thankful and appreciative I am.I dont live in that state or area but I intend to use them for my prepaid burial service.Thank you metroeast for tour outstanding service and reaching out to me afterwards to offer condolences,counseling etc. I felt you were family taking care of family.

My family was called that my uncle had passed away in a different state. He was a Vietnam Veteran and required to go to VA hospital in Marion often. When he passed, he had been sent to hospice in Illinois as well. This created a very high cost to get him home to Indiana, no local assistance as he was homeless and the VA would only pay headstone. one.Metroeast stepped in and helped my family navigate every aspect of this overwhelming process. He literally took all guess-work away and solved the red tape. We were able to get my uncle home where he belonged. My uncle passed unexpectedly and my family and I were faced with planning his services. Shen Williams at Metroeast Mortuary was suggested to me but I wasn't sure because I'd never heard of that mortuary before. I spoke to Shen and from the beginning, he made me feel like family. He reassured me that my uncle would be cared for properly and that he would stay with me through the entire process. It didn't matter what time of day, or what the request was, he always came through for me. Very rarely do I say I didn't have 1 complaint about anything but I truly didn't. He has excellent customer service, is prompt and is willing to go the extra mile. I especially love how attentive he was to my granny in helping her get through the process. Metro put my family at ease. This was the best experience ever. My so s funeral is still being talked about! I would recommend this funeral home to anyone that looses a loved one. No one else can compare. I never been to a funeral that displayed a memorial table, a obituary that looked like a magazine. His casket was sitting on glass lite up with color we had on. I would highly recommend Metroeast Mortuary. Our dear brother was in a nursing home and his cerebral palsy took control of his body. After spending 10 days in the hospital and 10 days in hospice he passed away very peacefully. We are out of state and dear sweet Charisse and Elizabeth made it possible to finalize our brothers funeral. Even in the early morning of his passing, they went above and beyond to stayed in touch throughout the next 72 hours. He was brought back to us quickly, so our family could have some peace. They are so kind and compassionate and even checked on us to see how we were doing. It was surprising how insensitive other places were when I called them inquiring about services. I can honestly say they made this process so much easier for me. My father was a veteran and they coordinated everything for me at no extra charge while other companies wanted an additional fee. I would like to start by saying that when I first went to Metro East Mortuary it was a new experience for me not every day that my parents would pass away they were so caring and so compassionate and not once did they try and sell me anything or my mother and they came when they came to pick up my dad they were totally respectful for him and they set up The Cremation they set up pick up the death certificate and what was really really important was that they set up the funeral services so that my dad could have a full military honors funeral and It took so much off of my mom and I and my other siblings. I cannot thank the people at Metro East Mortuary enough they're excellent and caring and compassionate and it's the kind of people that you want to work with when you don't want to really work with anybody they'll help you through each and every stage and I appreciate them and my whole family appreciates them more than we can say.. I would recommend this place. They are very nice and caring. They followed up with me a couple weeks after I was there to see how me and my family were doing. The prices are very affordable and they don't pressure you to purchase more than you want or can afford.

I’m really please with Metro east funeral home. I bury my husband August 3, 2022 my husband was attack by packs of dogs. After talking with Shen about have a open casket I thought it was impossible. Metro East Funeral made it possible for my family to have a open casket and went the extra mile by making that day special.

I would like to start by saying that when I first went to Metro East Mortuary it was a new experience for me not every day that my parents would pass away they were so caring and so compassionate and not once did they try and sell me anything or my mother and they came when they came to pick up my dad they were totally respectful for him and they set up The Cremation they set up pick up the death certificate and what was really really important was that they set up the funeral services so that my dad could have a full military honors funeral and It took so much off of my mom and I and my other siblings. I cannot thank the people at Metro East Mortuary enough they're excellent and caring and compassionate and it's the kind of people that you want to work with when you don't want to really work with anybody they'll help you through each and every stage and I appreciate them and my whole family appreciates them more than we can say.. Highly recommended.
