We lost our beloved pet a week ago. In moment of distress I called around to different places and this phone call was the one that was the most responsive, patient, and overall got the most upfront information from the start. We took in our dog that evening and Phil was great not just with us, but he had a way with my kids and answering their questions and explaining the process is such a caring yet factual way. He gave them space to process and understand this process. With us adults he was able to balance this difficult time and had a great sense of humor and peaceful presence. I felt so much more comfortable leaving our dog with them, as I wasn’t sure what to expect when dropping him off. I left at peace with our decision. When I went to pick up his ashes, Phil again was great at letting me have my moment but bringing in that sense of humor to help liven up this aspect of life. Thank you to the team for their communication but also their commitment to service, not just for our pet, but for the pet’s humans :)I hope to not to see them again ;) but if we were in a similar situation, I’m giving them a call again. I’ve already shared their info to family and friends who’ve asked about our process and experience.

Death is a painful experience for anyone. From the moment of death to the process of what to do with your special one. We on the other hand, was dreading the very small options we had for our first pup passing away. We searched so much on what the other options were that weren’t involved with burning or burying our puppy, both processes were harsh and an invasive to the earth and we want his life even in the end to be a benefit to this world, as to when he was alive he made this cruel world a better place. Burying him was a waste of unnecessary space and it has to be a specific location due to the regulations of this state, and burning him at a cremation is too harsh for the air and Philip gave us more details anybody would want to hear before making the decision of their life. After countless searching we found on TikTok water cremation and found this location. The process was nothing like I ever experienced. It was everything we wished we could’ve had for our amazing pup, a gentle hug that we wanted for him. The process isn’t only amazing for our environment but the beautiful outcome that we received when we went to pick him up.If I were to recommend anybody to this place for anyone from human to pet, this would be my first choice. Philip will help you with the process and so will his coworkers and they will make this painful time more healing than expected. Don’t hesitate to contact them , since the moment we called in to just check out this new option he was nothing but supportive and informative. We will forever be very grateful for this to ever exist during a time such as now.

I decided to go with this route for my dog, and I know I made the right choice. Their customer service and support were exceptional throughout the entire process. They were incredibly helpful and kind, and I felt supported every step of the way. Plus, I’m proud to have made a choice that benefits our planet. If you're struggling to make a decision for your pet or loved one, I highly recommend considering this option. What stood out to me was their genuine care for both us as a customer and my pet. I had not slept in days thinking I was going to lose my boy throughout the night and Philip took the thinking out of it and was just there for us. It’s incredibly difficult to find that level of customer service anymore. They were attentive, responsive, and truly went the extra mile to ensure I could be at ease. If you're uncertain, know that you're in great hands here. You’re supporting a veteran, a community member and a really great team.

I am so happy I decided to go this route after losing my beloved cat Sammy. I had called around to a few cremation places, but right away, I could feel this place was different. The customer service from beginning to end was exceptional, and I truly feel like they took care of my baby like she was one of their own. Colleen and Phillip were so kind and helpful and I appreciated how quickly I was able to get my Sammy back. I also appreciate their unique cremation process and how it is better for the environment and I get more of my cat back than typical fire cremation. I highly highly recommend this place!

Pet cremation is the best place to go to once your furry pet passes. Philip and his team are very nice. He explained everything of how the process was going to be and made us feel comfortable through a tough time. They work fast. Most definitely recommend coming here.

This review is late, but my boyfriend and I have nothing but the best to say about Pet Creamation by Water in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Our beloved 15 year old maltipoo, Marley, passed last Thanksgiving. We wanted to give our baby the most dignified burial we could find within our budget. This place was Pet Creamation by Water, run by Phil and his wife.Cremation by water is a much more eco-friendly option for remains versus cremation. We receivied the ashes of our sweet doggy in a small bamboo urn, along with two clay paw prints. Phil and his wife were able to meet us within an hour after we called. They were very kind, empathetic and caring with preparing Marley for his final journey. The building itself is simple, welcoming and tranquil. Phil walked us through the process of Marley's water cremation process and every detail involved. He answered all of our questions thoroughly, and was of great comfort to us. We came back a week later to pick up Marley in his bamboo urn, along with the clay paw prints and a lock of hair. We highly recommend Cremation by Water for your sweet animal babies. ❤️

Cremation by Water outdid themselves! I experienced the best service by them from start to finish. When I sent a contact form inquiring about their pricing and what type of jewelry they offer. They called me within a few minutes! From there, it was easy to bring my pet in and they go over and show you the whole process/facility and how everything works. When I was there, they had many different vases and jewelry to add on! When I asked if they put the ashes inside for you, they do! I bought a heart shaped ring that I can carry my Midnight with me everywhere I go now 💜 I dropped her off on a Friday and received her ashes on the following Wednesday. So fast in my opinion. When I came to pick up, they also go over with you the items like the paw print, jewelry and the urn/ashes. They truly care and wish the best for you and your pet. I am so appreciative of all they did for my Midnight 💜

My cat passed away last month and my family and I knew immediately that we wanted to do cremation by water. I did lots of research on cremation by water when my dog passed away last year and found that it is more environmentally friendly. We chose to go with Pet Cremation by Water this time because Filip was truly responsive and showed empathy for our cat's passing that morning. He was also able to take us on a Sunday afternoon, which my family and I deeply appreciate. When we arrived he kindly greeted us and explained the whole process to us in-depth, he showed us the equipment that they use and went over how she was going to be cremated. He was also very friendly and certainly lightened the mood despite why we had to be there. He told us that her ashes would be ready in a week but would let us know if her ashes were ready to pick up sooner and he did just that. Her ashes were ready to pick up that Thursday. When we picked up her ashes, someone else was there who was also really friendly, she asked us a few questions about my cat to make conversation but overall she was truly nice. I recommend them for any pet water cremation. They also do human cremation by water! I would for sure go back to them if I ever do need them.

Good byes to a family member are never easy. My family and I so appreciated Pet Cremation by Water’s care and sensitivity in dealing with our beloved Duke after he passed away. After have a Gentle Goodbye come to our home and afford us the time and respect to give Duke all of our love and tears, we were able to drop him off directly to Pet Cremation at 6:00pm. My husband and I spent another hour grieving and talking about the next steps of honoring Duke and having him back in our home with our other Dogs. Seeing him at peace, with a dog blanket and having direct contact with the facility and staff, is exactly what we needed. We picked up Duke a week later, and cherish having him as a part of our lives

My dearest baby boy Nova was a gentle and beautiful soul. He lost his fourteen months battle with cancer on May 4th 2023. Peaceful Endings for Pets helped my boy in his final moments and through this service, I was introduced to Cremation by Water. I have never heard about the cremation by water but once I did a quick research, I decided that it was a proper, gentle way for my dear Nova.In the end, I was very impressed with the Cremation by Water business. I believe that Phillip and his team took great care of my boy and that they treated my baby with dignity and respect to the end. Although I didn’t meet the business owners personally, I know that they conduct their business with empathy, compassion, and kindness and they are fully dedicated to supporting pets and humans in these difficult circumstances. Thank you!Additionally, I have only one regret – I wish I could bring my Nova personally to Phillip’s facility. I was not aware of this option so Peaceful Endings for Pets services took care of my boy (Dr. Kari and Roxanne did an amazing job:). I wish I knew that I could do it by myself. It would give me some peace knowing that I brought my boy directly to Phillip. Still, I’m so grateful I chose Cremation by Water. Here is my baby boy Nova (2010-2023):

I first found Pet Cremation by Water back in September of 2022 when my dog passed away. This was the first time losing a pet since moving to the Chicago area and I did what I always did before and called the vets office. Only to find out they didn’t do cremation. They did refer me to a place that was down on the very south side of Chicago. Whatever the name of that place was I don’t remember it now. But I called them twice the first time they were not open yet. So I waited a half an hour and called back. Left a message and asked for them to call me back. Three hours later and nothing so I got on tThe internet and Pet Cremation by Water was the first thing that came up. So I gave them a call and my call was answered right away. The team at Pet Cremation by Water is very caring and professional. That day back in September I was able to head there right away. Was able to decide on what options as far as what happened with my dog and her ashes I wanted from what they offered. I chose to do the paw print and to get her ashes back. Then last month when my senior cat passed away some what suddenly Pet Cremation by Water was the only place I called. They remembered me from when I came to them the first time back in 2022. Still just as caring, friendly and professional as they were back then. They will be the only place I use in the future when I lose a pet. I highly recommend you use them when you have lost a furry companion you will not regret at all. The picture that I am sharing with this review is one that I took recently of what I have set up as a memorial for both my dog and my cat. There are a couple of their favorite toys visible in the picture.

Thank you to Cremation by Water for taking care of my family after we lost our dog, Muñeca, of 15 years, suddenly and unexpectedly. They were recommended to us through another facility as it was one of the only services available that would pick up our sweet Muñeca at such a late hour. I had lost all hope and we were so glad to have gotten in contact with them. ❤️🩹Cremation by Water is honestly doing the Lord’s work. Phil showed up at midnight to pick her up, answered all of our questions, and addressed all of our concerns. The idea of water rather than flame for cremation and it being better for the environment also caught my fancy. Highly, highly recommend. We are forever grateful. Thank you so much.UPDATE 08/2024My dog, Holden, passed away on 8/20/2024 after having him for 15 years of my life. I had previously used Cremation by Water for their services for my mom’s dog, Muñeca who passed away a few years back and I immediately knew I’d use Cremation by Water for my Holdie.Thank you ❤️🐾🌈🐶

My cat Lizzie past away last week, we knew the day was coming but hoped for longer. She was 21, and with me half of my life and my daughter her whole life. My daughter and I looked into cremation by water for the eco friendly benefits awhile ago and after talking with Philip and Colleen their explanation of the process really opened our eyes to not only the eco friendly benefits but more peaceful passing and cremation of our dear Lizzie. When her time came I contacted Philip and he walked me through every step from picking her up at the vet to taking her to his facility, to the water cremation and returning her to us. As hard as this time was it, Philip and his whole team help us through the process making this difficult time a little more bearable, and now my daughter have our girl back and we each got a necklace we wear to keep her with us all the time.

Mr Philip Flores was an absolute gem. He made our entire process so easy. He kept us smiling with his energy & amazing vibes. He gave us great knowledge, explained step by step the process. He honestly made me want to go to schooling for mortuary just to work for him! I hope he knows how appreciated he is!

My angel baby Max passed away on 12/23, right before the holidays, and I wasn’t sure where to take him - this wasn’t something I ever thought about before and didn’t think I’d need to look into any time soon. Found this business on Yelp on a whim. In my time of need, this business made the entire process so smooth. Philip really knows how to make someone feel so at peace during such a difficult time. He not only made this process easy, but explained every single step of the water cremation process, which solidified my decision even more. I will only recommend this business to family, friends and strangers! Thank you for everything, Philip - you’re the best!

During an extremely hard time, Philip and Colleen made us feel at ease and provided excellent care for our sweet girl. Your pets are in good hands here. Everything was handled smoothly, gently, and transparently.

I have had the best experience in my worst of time. Philip is a great person and his staff is easy to deal with and caring. I have recommended Pet Creamations by water to my family and friends. They are beyond pleased with the service. I have delt with Philip and his team on 2 pets pictured. They will receive calls from me and my friends and family in the future. They sure make this as easy and caring as possable. Highly recommend them. A more gental and eco way to say Good bye to our furry family.

Cremation by water was absolutely amazing. This was my first time ever having to cremate a beloved family pet and they rest assured that they would take good care of my Remi. Phil went through each step of the process and was super kind. I definitely recommend cremation by water.

This place is amazing. I loved the experience from start to finish. When I first made the call to cremation by water that my dog was sick, they were kind, compassionate, informative, and sympathetic. Phil ended the call with “I’m not going to call or text you again. But if you want to and are ready, you can reach out, any time. Day or night.” It was a few weeks later when I finally called him back. They took such good care of my dog, 11 year old schnauzer. I’m forever grateful of the care they gave him, my husband, and myself. Would recommend to everyone. On a practical note, it’s so much more affordable than fire cremation. When my 3lbs rabbit died and we had him group cremated, it was $250. The cost to do a group water cremation for my 15lbs dog was $180. I also got the nice bamboo urn (I got a plastic box for my rabbit) and the paw print, all included. Having all those mementos has also really helped my grieving process.Thank you Phil and all those at cremation by water.

The dedication and compassion from Pet Cremation by Water towards our furry friends are truly admirable. Your work brings comfort to so many during difficult times. Thank you for your professionalism and empathy. You make a difference every day, and it is deeply appreciated. I have used your services twice, and each time I have been approached in a empathetic and professional manner.

We had to say goodbye to our sweet girl and Philip kindly assisted in the process from referring us to someone who was able to facilitate a peaceful passing at home to accommodating our timeline that evening. As others have mentioned in their reviews, Philip was so empathetic and responsive to calls and texts—he helped to make what was a terribly heartbreaking experience that much easier to go through. We wanted her to be cremated privately and to be witnesses, for at least the start of the process. Philip explained every step in detail and the knowledge of what was to come brought some comfort. He allowed us to take the time we needed to say our goodbyes and to love on our baby girl until we were ready to send her off. We have experienced cremation by fire for our other pups and always remained with them, taking them home that day. Cremation by water is a longer but gentler process and I felt at ease leaving her there until she was ready to come home. Philip took care in our girl’s final moments with her paw print and stamping of her name, which came out beautifully. He clipped some of her fur and placed it in a glass vial as another keepsake. She left the world with dignity and surrounded by those who loved her. It was heart-wrenching to let her go, but to do it at Cremation by Water, a pristine and quiet location, gave me some peace. We picked up her remains two days later in the bamboo urn. We will be bringing our sweet pups here for their final goodbyes in the future because they deserve only the best as they leave this world—knowing they are so precious to us. Thank you again, Philip. We appreciate you and the passion for what you do to help people who love their furry family members at Cremation by Water.

I recently lost my little buddy of 16 years. My little Yorkie Beau had been with me through every major milestone in my life. When he passed I wanted to do something special for him and I discovered Pet Cremation by Water. The moment I spoke to Philip I felt so comforted. Philip showed so much empathy and care. He has such a big heart and I’m so grateful for having found his company. He took so much care in explaining the process and making sure I was ok. Not only did I receive Beau’s cremains in a beautiful bamboo urn, but also a very meaningful imprint of Beau’s paw with his name stamped on it. If you are looking for a way to memorialize your pet, I highly recommend Philip!

The Pet Cremation by Water staff were professional, kind, and they took the time to explain the whole process our beloved Lucy would go thru. They answered my call and questions late at night (11pm) when our Lucy passed in her sleep. Highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again. Thank you for your patience and understanding in our time of need. The Huerta Family

A friend of mine suggested water by cremation. They were very nice when they came to pick up Bon Bon after he passed, few days later he was ready to be picked up. The waiting room was very elegant and it had displays of necklaces, urns and more. I decided to add in necklaces and they were able to fill it right then and there.Thank you both for making this process easier for us.

When our little Moose passed away last month, we met Phillip as he opened his doors on a Sunday morning. His kindness and professionalism truly helped us during that difficult time. Our cat's paw print is a cherished keepsake. Thank you again, Pet Cremation.

Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE DeviceHow do you say good-bye to who has been with you for a quarter of your life. Through the ups and downs. Who always has a smile on their face every time you come home and even if you might be late for dinner it doesn't matter they love you through thick and thing loyal to the very end. That was my Baby a Maltese/Pomeranian mix, she was so adorable loved everyone and when they would say what a cute baby... she probably thought they were saying her name and she would jump up with glee.I remember that morning when I went to her and she laid there quietly. I called her name but no response... i knew she was gone except i didn't want to believe it. My heart broke that moment when I realized my companion of 16 years had left me. I cried silently when back to bed and started scrolling for a crematory nothing seemed to suffice until I found Cremation by Water in Arlington Heights. The proprietor Phillip answered the call very early morning he could hear the distress in my voice and the occasional sob. He consoled and reassured me that I was not alone and he would be there for me and would take care of the transportation and everything. I had that option except I wanted to take my best friend in my SUV the last ride we would take together. We had traveled cross country together and I couldn't bear not taking her myself. That was a choice I made. Once I was there Phillip was so kind and empathetic. Took me through the facility and showed me what to expect. I felt I had left her in a good place in a week or two I had my Baby next to my mom.I wished I had know about this form of cremation for my mom as I looked at the what ashes that had been my Baby at one time instead of the black ash produced by fire. They provided a beautiful bamboo urn and her paw print. Very reasonable and full of dignity.Thank you Phillip and Cremation by Water.Thank you for being there for me at one of the saddest and never forgetting times of my life.I give Cremation by Water a 20 out of 5 if I could.Margaret

We lost our first family dog back in 2021 and took him here. When it was time for our last dog to cross the rainbow bridge we wanted him to be taken care of like our first dog. It’s never easy losing a pet but everyone here was so nice and understanding.

My family and I cannot say enough about Pet Cremation by Water, and its owner Philip! I lost my beloved 11-year-old chihuahua mix, Duncan, to severe heart disease in February of this year. It was the most devastating loss I’ve ever experienced in my life. Faced suddenly with deciding how best to honor my little peanut, I discussed the various options with my parents and brother. In researching the option of cremation, I decided to google “pet cremation” four days after Duncan’s passing, and Pet Cremation by Water was the very first search result that appeared. I had never heard of cremation by water and, when I read the info on Philip’s website, I felt as though divine intervention had truly taken place! I immediately fell in love with the process and felt it would be so much gentler -- and easier psychologically – to know that our dearest Duncan would not be cremated by fire. And, the fact that the process is eco-friendly made it even more appealing. Philip’s website truly spoke to me that day. I immediately discussed my findings with my mother, and later with my brother and father. We were sold.I then placed a call to Philip to make additional inquiries and continued to like everything I heard. Philip greeted us with compassion, understanding, respect, and patience – things that meant so much to my family and me during our time of immense grief. We felt that my little guy was in perfect hands with Philip, and that was very comforting to us, as Duncan was my son, as well as my folks’ grand pup, and my brother’s nephew.Philip was most accommodating. He gave us a tour of his facility and explained the cremation by water process in depth. We were thoroughly impressed with how clean his facility is, and how calming it is there in the evening with the lights turned low. After our visit, we were sold once again on the process of cremation by water, and holding my Duncan’s memorial service there. The memorial service we held at Philip’s cremation facility ended up being the perfect way to formally bid farewell to our beloved Duncan. During the service, Philip again offered us the utmost in privacy (standing in the shadows of the cremation room out of sight), compassion, respect, and patience, and we cannot thank him enough for this. He truly helped to make our grief more bearable, and was even able to make us laugh at times before and after. We took advantage of some of the wonderful add-ons (all very reasonably priced) and now have several perfect clay footprints and little vials of fur of our beloved Duncan that we will treasure forever. And, the cremains of our dearest Duncan are beautiful -- so soft and white, like finely sifted flour or beautiful sand on a beach. They are so much nicer than the ashes that result from a fire cremation! We cannot sing enough praise about Philip and Pet Cremation by Water! I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so. Thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts, Philip, for all you did for me, my parents, and my brother, and for having provided us the ability to bid such a perfect and loving farewell to our wonderful little guy, Duncan.

We lost our beloved pet a week ago.

Phillip radiated so much light during such a sad moment. We lost our heart dog to HSA, and he was at our door within the hour. He made the situation the best it could’ve ever been. He even managed to make us smile… Phillip took the time to explain the process, and I knew my girl was in the best care possible. My dog's ashes came out beautiful, and knowing they are 100% her brings me so much comfort. The paw prints and everything were perfect. I hope I don’t have to use Phillip’s services for a while, but I know his services will be the ones we move forward with in the future. He is the type of person that is made for this job and brings nothing but comfort and reassurance during a challenging process. Somehow, I feel like my dog sent him to us as her last blessing. Highly recommend

Phillip was very professional throughout the entire process. Our family unexpectedly lost our Bella at only 10 years old but we were very pleased with the care and compassion we received at Pet Cremation by Water. Coleen and Phillip were extremely helpful in helping us overcome the loss of our hedgehog, Sherman. I was recommended by my parents, and I saw their website was very helpful and offered grief counseling links, which were things I was really flying around in my mind at the time of my poor boy’s passing. He has returned home, sitting peacefully in a nice bamboo cylinder, chilling in the corner of our home as he had been in life. :)

The Cremation by water group was such a wonderful experience. They were professional, kind and gentle with us as well as our pet. I was able to speak with them and arrange drop off quickly. The office is clean and our keepsakes are precious. I am beyond grateful to have found them I would change nothing if there was a next time and if I had to recommend I give it 5 full stars!

We want to say thank you for making this process peaceful. After learning about Cremation by Water, I knew I would be needing their service, the time came for us June 17, 2024 to lay to rest our baby boy Mooshi. I highly recommended Pet Cremation by Water.

I went to Cremation By Water to do Alkaline hydrolysis of my baby Kyro Royal. The entire process from start to finish was amazing!!!When I called Cremation By Water. Everyone was very patient, kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. They explained the entire process, and answered all of my questions.Cremation By Water was the only place I found that actually allowed me to have a small memorial service for my dog prior to his Alkaline hydrolysis.Philip and his staff prepared my dogs body magnificently!!!!. He look like he was happy and peaceful sleeping. Being able to see my baby be “The best version of hisself” one last time has been helpful in my grieving process.I definitely recommend 100/10!!

We knew our little buddy Rufus's health was failing for a couple of months. I was lucky enough to find Pet Cremation by Water in Arlington Heights last November. I talked with Phil the owner and he gave me the information as to what their services entailed. Good ole Rufus would bounce back for a while and the spiral downward again. This went on for several of these cycles. When it became apparent the time had come, Phil was there for us. He met us at our vet's office just after we put our buddy down. Phil was very caring and respectful in our time of sorrow. When I picked up Rufus's cremains, Phil's wife (sorry, I do not recall her name) showed me their equipment (through a window). The place was spotlessly clean.A great company/

Pet Cremation by Water is AWESOME! I could not have been happier with the manner in which my sweet loving OREO was taken care of by Phil. I had never heard of this process before and I am now sharing it with everyone I come into contact with. I love this concept so much, I am having this done for myself when the time comes. It is a very dignified and respectful way of having a loved one cremated without fire. From the moment I looked at their brochure and talked with Phil to the moment I picked up my precious OREO, I could not have been happier with the process. It truly is a GIFT. Plus, the cost is less expensive than cremation by fire AND you get a lovely paw print, bamboo container with a little jar of hair, and a certificate all for $180. THANK YOU Pet Cremation by Water and Phil for being there for me when I needed you. You ROCK!!!

Louie-Louie was my sweet feline leukemia baby we adopted as a kitten he lived way past how long we thought we would have him, and even then we were not ready to lose him. I have cremated past pets before and I never felt closure. The facilities never allowed me to see any of the process. I called around trying to find somewhere to take Louie’s body and I happened to come across Philip’s facility. We drove 2+ hours to get to Philip. From the moment he called me on the phone and explained everything in detail and texted me brochures photos of the facility information on how water cremation worked I knew he was where we needed to go. He is where we will continue to go in the future. Philip and his wife handled everything with compassion and Philip went above and beyond to video call me since we lived so far away so that I could say one last goodbye and see the process started. He kept Louies favorite toy with him. We chose a couple extra options that came out so beautiful and really let us put our baby to rest. I highly recommend them! It is a super difficult time for anyone having to go thru this decision and Philip really does care and makes everything about it so easy going and very professional!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Lost our beloved dog and within hours of contacting Pet Cremation by Water over the phone, we were offered services in a timely manner especially late in the evening. Colleen was very helpful during our phone call and explained options for their services as well as explained their process of cremation which was more eco-friendly and appealing to us. She also sent over information about the process as well as their website which was very informational and easy to understand. Our dog’s cremation came in a bamboo urn which was very nice and we opted for the clay paw print (highly recommend), hair clippings in a small tube as well as a keepsake cremation necklace.Very quick turn around for the remains (just a few days).I do not usually leave reviews but living and working in California and going through the process over the phone, it was very easy for me to configure everything necessary so that my mom and brother back home in Illinois did not have much trouble when it came to dropping off our dog. It was a very smooth process and it felt very comforting know that our family was being taken care of in a timely manner.Thank you to Colleen and the rest of the team.

Had to say goodbye to my very Sweet and Loving Boy. I was welcomed with open arms when I brought Oscar in. Phillip and his wife Colleen were Passionate, Caring etc.. I was honored to have met them both. It was such a pleasant experience on how Phillip explained the process. I know for a fact I have Oscar's remains and Not somebody else's. A close friend of mine recommended them to me. I will continue to pass on the word like I already have. Thank you again for the love you have. Thank you for what you do.

They were very kind and empathetic about my loss. They gave a lot of information and were very detailed. So much cheaper than cremation by fire and still get your individual pet instead of being with others getting the ashes back. Really love the simple urn and the paw print. I got my baby back so quickly so was very appreciative. Use this service!

This place is a wonderful place they care about you and are very sensitive to your feelings going in. Our puppy Minnie passed away and we brought her to get cremated here and it was the best decision we ever made. They send you videos and information about the process they show you their equipment and they explain the benefits of cremation by water. The place smells so good the price is the best one around the suburbs. I will definitely be recommending this place. Our girl Minnie was able to be back with us in 3 short days❤️ thank you for being so patient and loving with our family.

I must say my experience with Mr Flores Jr @ Pet Cremation by Water was a very pleasant one ! When I first reached out to Philip about the passing of my pup Melo I had no idea what would go on but he explained to me in very much detail how the experience would go and it went just the way he said ! He was very sensitive and expressed his condolences for the lost of my pup and it made me feel that I had turn to the right place to send my little love one off. I would highly recommend his services to anyone to rightfully send your love ones off! Great service ! And all of the memorial pieces he has to offer to keep your pet near are amazing ! Thank you Mr Philip for being there in this great time of need ! I appreciate your work and I'm sure Melo would have too ! *R.I.H Heaven Melo* 😇

Melody passed away suddenly on June 30th, and it left my family and I totally heartbroken. Cremation by Water was something I was interested in because it's a more eco-friendly approach to traditional cremation. The owner was so respectful and handled my baby with such care. He explained the process very clearly, and even though i felt so emotional broken by my loss, he still managed to make me laugh and smile. During pick-up, I got to meet the owners wife, and she was just as delightful as her husband. You can tell they truly do care about what they do with how much love and effort they put in. Though this experience was so hard to go through, I fully trust Cremation by Water with any loss I may experience in the future and have shared their information with other close family and friends.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The entire experience was flawless from beginning to end. My Bear passed away on a Sunday and they were able to meet us there that evening to drop off his little body. They were incredibly genuine and gentle and I loved every part of our interaction. My baby’s ashes were returned in a beautiful little bamboo urn a couple of days later. Incredibly reasonable price for the service. Thank you SO much for everything.
Valiha Thompson

We recently had to put our sweet baby girl down, and Phillip made the process so much easier. He was very compassionate when it came time to drop her off, and made us the cutest paw print of her to keep. He truly made this hard experience a little easier.

Saying goodbye to your four-legged loved one is never easy… These guys were professional, compassionate, and exceeded our expectations in every way… I would happily recommend anyone a similar situation reach out… It’s my expectation that when we finally commit her remains to the Earth that we will follow the guidance of the owner of this business who shared the beauty of adding these remains to the base of a plant which will give us a place to remember Scarlet Fire…

Our sweet Bella passed away Saturday, May 27th, 2023 at the age of 12. I had never heard of Pet Cremation by Water but once I saw the video I knew it was the right thing to do for our sweet girl. The company I had come to our home to assist with Bella's passing over the Rainbow Bridge told me her ashes would be hand delivered. I received a text from Phillip at Cremation By Water letting me know her ashes would be sent USPS due to the distance. When I let him know we were told Bella would be hand delivered, he immediately called me. He knew how important it was that Bella's ashes arrived safely to my home .... we all know the US postal service is not so reliable LOL. He was in agreement with no hesitation that her ashes should be sent Fed Ex. Needless to say she arrived today safe and sound on National Pet Memorial Day -- very fitting. Thank you to Phillip and his staff for all they do for grieving families of pet owners and humans! You are very special people and The Burns Family thanks you!--Stacy Burns

Highly recommend this business. When we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our sweet cat, we thought that fire cremation was the only option. Luckily, the at-home vet we used recommended Pet Cremation by Water. We were so glad there was a gentler and more eco-friendly choice. We dealt directly with the owner Philip and he was caring, kind, and supportive. We received our cat's ashes in a simple and modern bamboo urn that Philip himself delivered to our home. We really appreciate the care and respect that Philip took with our sweet cat. You can tell he has a lot of pride in his work.We would definitely use Pet Cremation by Water again and highly recommend this business to our family and friends. A sincere thank you to Philip and his team for offering this service that's better for the environment and also for helping us through an incredibly difficult time.

I would highly recommend Pet Cremation by Water. It was such a calming experience thanks to Phil. Our beloved 12-year-old German Shepherd Pink passed away suddenly but peacefully at home. I didn’t know who to call. After calls to a vet and a animal hospital, I was eventually referred to Phil. I wish I had known to call him first. Besides being genuinely compassionate, he clearly explained the process and services. This happened late on a Friday afternoon but he was at my house within an hour. Very gentle, efficient and reasonably priced.

My baby Prada crossed the rainbow bridge after almost 14 years on this earth. We found Pet Cremation by Water through Veterinary Specialty Center. We decided to go with them, as it was a much more peaceful process than regular cremation. I’m so glad I decided on this method. Phil and his team were incredibly sweet through this process, and he even let us take ink paw prints in addition to the clay print. We opted to do the full ceremony with a private cremation, and I’m so glad I did.I’m happy that my baby went out in a peaceful and calm way, the best end to a beautiful life. Thank you PCW for making Prada’s final journey one of peace and love.

Philip and his partner handled my Kaisa with dignity and respect. It was my first experience using the cremation by water process and Philip was very informative, supportive, and understanding during a most difficult time. His facility is pristine. I can highly recommend Cremation by Water.

Wonderful place. I would not choose any other cremation services!! I am so much more at peace knowing that my sweetest girl is resting in such a clean space. What a gift! As I grieve my sweetest girl I keep having the image of this perfectly clean place as she departed. It makes grieving so much easier. This place is so amazing, I decided I will add to my last wish to be water cremated too at this place. What a cleansing way to go to next stage. Thank you Phillip!

When our beloved dog, Kaiser, recently passed away we knew we wanted to choose an environmentally friendly option for his final arrangements. We called around to a few different companies and ended up choosing Cremation by Water. Not only were they the best value, Philip was wonderful. He came to our home and went over ever detail with us in a very loving and professional manner, he sat with us and listened while we reminisced endlessly about our beautiful boy. I would highly recommend this company to anyone, they made a very difficult situation a little easier for us handle.

Thank you for your compassionate care of my dearly beloved Shadow. I still miss her everyday but her memorial helps me cope with her loss after 18 years together.A side note I am honestly surprised how much ash we got back it was like 3 times as much as her sister Gizmo who was traditionally cremated. I highly recommend this service. The owner was extremely kind and explained everything. I was a mess but I was given time to say goodbye which means a lot. Thank you again.

We were able to understand the process an know that our Bella was be treated with respect and dignity. Thank you for doing such an amazing job for our grieving family.

Family business, compassionate and catered to our needs to ensure our beloved dog was laid to rest with dignity. We were very impressed with all they had to offer.

His kindness and excellent service made a heartbreaking situation bearable. I am forever grateful and highly recommend this company.

Phillip at Pet Cremation by Water provided the most professional and caring assistance during the very difficult time of losing our beloved 15 year old Golden Doodle, Shelby. Her health decline accelerated on May 14th, and we decided to call Pet Cremation by Water as a starting point. Not only did Phillip explain Pet Cremation by Water environmentally friendly services, but he also was able to provide names of three women that performed peaceful at home euthanasia services. After Shelby was put to rest peacefully on her bed in our family room, Phillip came to our house and respectfully and discreetly removed her. He even took the toy that was next to her and promised to put it on the chamber during cremation. When we picked up Shelby’s cremains, Phillip explained the private cremation that we selected. We felt confident that the procedure was done honestly and with dignity for her. We brought Shelby back home one last time, along with her Woodstock play toy.Phillip and the Pet Cremation by Water team are a wonderful Arlington Heights business service and neighbor.

When our beloved family dog, Lovie, passed away, we chose to use Cremation by Water. We are so pleased and appreciative of the services provided by Philip and his staff.Upon arrival at Cremation by Water, Philip greeted us with a warm welcome. He invited us into the showroom and explained the steps of the cremation by water process. Although we arrived after typical business hours on a Friday, Philip took time to explain the entire process, show us videos, and point out the different aspects of the cremation process. Philip's detailed explanation and passion provided us with the comfort we needed and reassured us that we were leaving Lovie in great hands. Also, Philip allowed our family to take part in making a paw print keepsake and collecting hair clippings as memories of Lovie. Philip's compassion and empathy were truly a blessing to our family during this difficult time.Lovie's cremains are in a beautiful bamboo urn alongside her paw print, hair clippings, and a picture. We take comfort in having our Lovie back at home with us and are so grateful to Philip and the Cremation by Water staff for providing us with a wonderful experience.

We couldn't have asked for a better send off. Copper loved water so much and by happenstance Cremation by Water was the first place to call us back and offer everything we needed as we needed it. The immediate, after hours service; thorough explanation of the whole process and specific ID tag was more than we ever expected. Phillip made the entire process of something so hard, as easy as it could've been. He even took the time to explain to our son how Copper is in a much better place. Our dog Copper passed at home out of no were and Phillip answered right away and explained everything, was fair priced, and when we showed up, he was compassionate and not pushy even explained to our 4 year old how all dogs go to heaven and just made it so easy on him that it is sad but when we left my son turned and said bye will see you next time our dog dies, we were speechless but laughing and needed it.

I lost my 14 yr old darling boy Chopper a bit over a week ago on 3/31/23. I took him to get his teeth cleaned on 3/28/23, they extracted 12 teeth, and when I got him back he never came out of his lethargy and his kidneys had started to fail. On 3/31, my mother called me at work and told me my best friend had died.Despite a suggestion of having the humane society cremate him, I didnt want that. He had suffered so much during his final days, and he had meant so much to me I didnt want him just tossed in any mass incinerator and not be sure I would even get his ashes back. They didnt even have those services listed on the website so I was like, "Nope".So through the tears at 2 in the morning I come across the Pet Cremation by water listing, and the first thing that caught my attention of course is the water and it being eco friendly. Next was the inclusions and services and the fact that they ACTUALLY say you can have YOUR companions ashes back and they can be cremated seperately from others. Lastly the REVIEWS. I agree with them. This service cares about your pet and helps you at one of the hardest points in your life. This was the option for me. My little guy deserved it.I filled out the form, called later in the morning maybe around 9ish (it says they're open 24/7 but I was too ashamed to call at 2 in the morning) and Phil answered the phone. He's just as friendly as everyone says he is. Immediately told me he was sorry for my loss. Asked where I was, I told him, told him I was gonna drop off and he told me about wrapping up, being careful of spillage and keeping the body in the coldest place I could. When I got to the facility, I was greeted by him, he had a cart to place Chopper on and proceeded to show the machines and process of the cremation. 4 days later I picked up Chopper and it was $180. I chose to have him cremated in a seperate chamber but there are other options on the website besides that.I'm glad I found this listing and am very thankful to Phil and the staff for providing this service and treating both me and my poor Chopper with respect. I highly recommend them.

Our ferret baby suddenly passed before a holiday weekend. Pet Cremation by Water warmly welcomed us after hours & gave us a moment to say goodbye to our beloved pet. The bedside manner displayed by the employees at Pet Cremation by Water is comforting. I hate to think of the days when I’ll lose our companions however, when it happens I will return.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to take care of my sweet girl. She was with me for 15 years and saying goodbye was very hard. Phillip was absolutely amazing. Kind, empathetic and patient. He explained the process and made everything easy and comfortable. We paid $270 (usually 180) for her because it was a weekend, but even the $270 was a very good price. We got a beautiful clay paw print and a very cute bamboo urn that I will keep by the window as it was her favorite spot. They also give a certificate and tag to facilitate travel if you need to do so. Very accommodating.

Posted 11/14/2022 yet only 5 star reviews show...I will say they were very professional when they came out and handled our loved one with care and dignity.However...They wrote down wrong phone number so we did not know to pick up him up causing a big delay. They did not know they had the wrong number until I called them and then they saw that their text message had come back undeliverable.Did not honor our request to get our dog's collar back. Actually told me they gave it to me when they came out and said that I set it down. This was my baby, my best friend. I would have never let go of the collar if they gave it to me.They said they would provide a keepsake lock of hair, which they did not. They forgot.I will say they were there in my hour of need but follow through was not acceptable.Loki was a rescue dog that I found abandoned on the side of the road during a winter snow storm. He was the best, most lovable dog you could ever ask for.

My boyfriend and I unexpectedly lost our cat a couple of weeks ago. The amount of caring and empathy I got from here was amazing. We were both a mess when we went to drop her off and they allowed us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. I will always be happy that I picked this place

This is my zinc and this is the second time that I have gone to them for pet cremation. First time I went was with my sister and her cat had passed away. They do a fantastic job not only caring for my zinc after he has passed but as well as greeting you in this time of need. If you are looking for somewhere to go, I recommend them! They are very sincere and caring as well as explaining the process and how it works.

Our boy passed away recently very sudden and we didn’t know who or what to do as he passed away at home. While searching the internet for 24/7 establishment and we came across Pet Cremation by water. Philip the owner was great from beginning to the very end. He explained in detail and provided all the information you would need before making your decision. Our boy was very well taken care of and we were very happy with the end result. Thank you Philip for making sure we were okay and also explaining the process.

Kaela West

I was beyond pleased that he worked with Pet birds i felt welcomed and knowing ill return her body to mother Nature using water and not fire that was a huge plus!! Process went smooth and went over if i wanted to keep some feathers and for sure i picked out the ones i loved on her!!

Phillip has cremated 2 of my fur babies for me. He is very kind and was able to pick my babies up within a couple hours of calling him. Losing my Bella Lacie was one of the hardest things I've experienced in my life. Phillip made that day less stressful because I knew he would take care of her with dignity and respect. Bella was returned to me in a beautiful bamboo earn with a certificate of cremation and her paw print in clay. Thank you Phillip!

The concept is what attracted me to this facility to begin with. The customer service and compassion were outstanding. The team was very accommodating and had very good communication. They have a lot to offer in the terms of keepsakes. They are very knowledgeable and the pricing is very competitive. The husband and wife team made this very difficult time in our family’s life much more bearable. We really appreciated all they did.

I was looking for the direction to our usual pet cremation place where we took our 3 cats of the past 11 years. I came across Pet Cremation. They were a 24/7 place. I thought that was good. So, I called. We took my sweet Rosie to Phillip he makes you so comfortable. He explains the process because I have never of cremation by water. My other birds will br going to Phillip. My husband might go there too.

We lost our beloved Mairin so suddenly. We were in shock and really did not know where to begin. We found Pet Cremation by Water online. We filled out a request in the middle of the night just after she passed away not even expecting an answer so soon, and Philip called us back. Philip is an amazing human being. On one of the saddest days, he provided us such comfort. When he came to pick up our sweet girl, he was so kind and gentle. I knew in that moment we chose the right place for her. While it was the hardest moment, my heart felt a sense of peace.Philip made the most beautiful paw prints for us to remember Mairin, and he even created one in the shape of a heart which was beautiful. I can never thank Philip enough for the care he provided not only to Mairin but for us as well.We miss you so much, sweet girl! Always in our hearts!

After a trip for Thanksgiving I came back to my 11 year old dog not herself. 3 days later she stopped eating and her last day was Sunday. I called and spoke to Philip on the phone when my daughter saw Cremation by Water. Philip gave me an explanation, but he also has great video's on-line to watch. He offered to pick up Daisy after she passed away. He was very responsive, and when he says 24hrs he's not kidding . My incident happened on a Sunday and he was still in communication with me at 8 p.m.After Daisy was ready my daughter and I went and saw his facility. Top notch and sign me up! (he does humans too). Such a gentle process and Philip is a an excellent business owner! If your debating I stay - Stop! make the call... use this business.100% worth it. A picture of Daisy is below.

For three years I loved this bird from a pet store.. my husband and I ended up rescuing this birdyboy. We didn’t think he would live very long after we took him in.. (he was pretty neglected and in bad shape) but he ended up living over a year longer than expected. He ended up passing away the other day and it was difficult to deal with. I have been dealing with a handful of patients passing away recently and I’ve been on autopilot to get through long shifts and sad nights.Grief is complicated but Pet Cremation by Water made it simple. We called this place up, thinking it was a shot in the dark (how could they be open 24/7?? They are!) and Philip talked us through the process.I find it to be difficult dealing with so much death and grief and it was absolutely life changing to speak and work with them. My husband and I were able to come in right away and speak with staff about how to navigate things from here.I have a nonstop changing schedule which makes it nearly impossible to make appointments and come in during business hours. It was great to be able to take our bird into such a kind and loving place with my husband (instead of one of us having to go alone). We are now life long loyal clients. If you are going through a touch time and don’t know where to start, this is definitely the place who will get you through it.Thank you guys forever.(The photo is from the first day our little booboohead came into our home.)

I will forever be grateful to Philip and his team for making this painful experience bearable. They guided us through the entire process and communicated immediately. Philip took the time to console and lift me; he magically made me laugh and look at things from another perspective. I can't say enough about the Pet Cremation by Water team, and I highly recommend their services. I am grateful that Mr. Cat left us with dignity and surrounded by love. She will be forever and ever missed!

After losing my pet best friend who was beside me for about 12 years, it felt like there was a significant part missing in our home and family. Finding Pet Cremation by Water allowed my family and I to be rest-assured that our pet was handled with proper care as well as showing our family comforting empathy. Pet Cremation by Water provided great service all round such as timely communication, affordable, respectful, and eco-friendly. Choosing this location will place your family and pet in good hands.

I received a text from Phillip at Cremation By Water letting me know her ashes would be sent USPS due to the distance. When I let him know we were told Bella would be hand delivered, he immediately called me. Highly recommend this business. When we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our sweet cat, we thought that fire cremation was the only option. We dealt directly with the owner Philip and he was caring, kind, and supportive. We received our cat's ashes in a simple and modern bamboo urn that Philip himself delivered to our home.

We were referred by a friend that had used you. My black 13 1/2 cocker spaniel had to be euthanized. It was a beautiful and humane experience. Dr. Emily was very kind and sympathetic. It was nice for our Sophia to go to rest in the only home she had ever known. Thanks again!❤️

My dearest companion Harris died at home in the middle of the night. He was 12 years old and weighed 140 pounds. I called numerous places and was in shock. Pet cremation picked up Harris in 45 min with dignity and compassion for me. I could not carry or lift him to the car and was alone. Pet Cremation was there for me and I highly recommend their affordable and professional services.

I promise you - unlike any other place you could imagine partnering with at such an emotional and vunerable time. Phillip and Colleen are the epitome of professionalism combined with large splashes of superior interpersonal communication, empathy, compassion, patience, flexibility, and at times welcomed humor. Their facility is spotless and offerings nicely displayed. Phillip excels in his ability to clearly communicate their business model, process, and what sets them a part from the rest. No comparison from my perspective! Losing the love of my life, my princess Paris, after having her 16 yrs and suffering from dementia, various cancers in her abdomen, and CKD her last year of life was the most difficult loss and grieving I've ever experienced (more than human losses). Thank you Phillip and Colleen.

We lost our dear companion Muffy to disease. She filled our home with joy for 15 years. When the end was near we simply did not know what to do. My wife found Pet Cremation by Water and liked the nature of the process they use. We contacted Philip, the owner of Pet Cremation by Water, and he could not have been more kind and supportive. Now we have a nice bamboo urn with our pet's ashes to go along with many happy memories. We are very appreciative to Philip's support and we are so happy we found his company in our time of need.

Yessica Lawrence

During such a difficult time, Philip and Colleen were amazing. They assisted in every step with an abundance of compassion. The process was explained well and handled with the utmost professionalism. I am thankful for them being there with our loss of our family member, Marley.

My experience was perfect, everything I wanted and then some for Nala's after life care took place. A moment that sticks the most was when we made Nala's pawprint together. It caught me off guard and was enjoyable, and that doesn't typically happen. It made me feel Nala was special. Thank you so much Philip! I'm glad to know you, and thank for giving me peace of mind that my Nala Berries left this world with water over here body.

When our sweet 13 year old fur baby was diagnosed with cancer a 2nd time, we knew it would come fast & be aggressive. When the time came to choose a cremation company we knew water cremation was the right choice. They were so kind to us from start to finish & we highly recommend them.

I lost my 15 year old fur baby, Mandi, on March 2nd and it has been the hardest thing I have had to go through. She was my first dog so I honestly had no idea what steps to take next. I searched on Google and came across Pet Cremation by Water and I am SO glad I did. I had no idea what it even meant and was immediately comforted by the process. It is very humane, respectful and peaceful. Phil was absolutely wonderful. Very responsive, accommodating and understanding. I have told many people about his services and will continue to do so. I felt so much peace knowing my Mandi was treated like the princess she was. She was my world and there was nothing I wouldn't do for her.

Cremation by waters was an excellent choice of cremation for our little kitten we lost. He was in very good hands by Phil who was very sensitive and empithetic and made light of mine and my family’s evening the day we brought him in. He made sure to put a smile an all out faces and I appreciated that energy from him. He explained the process and how pure and eco friendly it is and couldn’t have been done a better healthier way.

My guinea pig Chilwilly passed away on April 23rd 2023, it was very difficult and we wanted her to rest in peace but we would feel awful burying her allowing the insects to eat her body, so we decided to look and we found cremation by water, I called and Philip gave me instructions on what to do before taking my guinea pig to be cremated, the following day when I came back from school we took my guinea pig and dropped her off my mom and I and my sister, it was difficult saying goodbye but i’m glad we chose to cremate in that place, we took her on Monday and picked her up on Saturday, we got her ashes and a paw clay print? I think that’s what it’s called, but overall I recommend this place to cremate your pets, and the price isn’t bad at all for everything I got.

In my case, this is the first pet I've ever had in my life, so finding and planning for an elderly pet wasn’t easy for me. But, if it wasn’t for my friend who introduced me to Pet Creation By Water, I would’ve never known how organized things would go.The service is done very efficiently and it’s very easy to communicate with the people that work there because they will help you out every step of the way. Also, the quality of the bundles they offer is reasonably priced and everything that comes with it is made so beautifully. I highly recommend this place for those who want to cremate their pets.

Philip was amazing! He showed both compassion and professionalism from the very first call until the time it was time to pick up my baby (Papi). I HIGHLY recommend his services:)

So Happy to have found this gentle alternative for my Petey. Philip met us at the vet at the time of Petey's passing and offered comfort, as well as reassurance that he would receive the same compassionate care after life that he did while he was living. He took time to explain everything to us and make sure we were ready to let go of Petey and entrust his care to Philip and his staff. He remained in touch with us until it was time to bring our little guy back home. Included was a clay imprint of Petey's paw, something I'll treasure forever. I can't recommend, or thank them, enough.

Phil was incredibly helpful. He explained the process well and was sensitive to our needs. I was beyond pleased that he worked with Pet birds i felt welcomed and knowing ill return her body to mother Nature using water and not fire that was a huge plus!!

This place was incredibly helpful and heartfelt in aiding me through the process of losing my pet. The owners were comforting, quickly responsive when messaging, and overall amazing in helping me understand the process. Having this pet be my first to pass, I wasn't sure what to do. Luckily, I found this place and I am so thankful I did. The second I messaged the number, Phillip responded within minutes and sent me videos showing the process. Then when I arrived, Colleen showed such compassion for the grief process I was in, and helped me feel so confident in the choice I made to go with this business. They give you a bamboo urn with a paw print, and optional jewelry containing your loved one's ashes, and I couldn't be happier with it. Thank you to the owners for everything ❤️

Philip is responsive, professional and caring. I’m grateful for what he has been doing for pet owners. This is definitely heartbroken for all pet owners to loss their beloved furry friends, but Philip makes the final passing much easier. He even helped me make an appointment with the vet to put my dog down when I cannot get through the appointment booking. Thank you!

They are very professional and took the time to explain the process. From the phone call to texts and in person they were phenomenal, kind, and friendly! I would recommend them to those that are looking to cremate your furbabies. I felt at peace when I brought in my cat knowing they will take care of him. They gave me his paw print and ashes in a bamboo container. I had a great experience! Very empathetic and very clean! Thank you for your kindness!!!!!

I unfortunately have had to use their services twice in 3 months. The first time was in April when I came home to find my 11 year old dog Cleft had passed away. I called around and Philip was absolutely great with his sincerity and provided me with all the information I needed. After making a decision we chose to go with him. He was great even though we got there after midnight. He took the time to explain everything to us. And even let us help with making his paw print. At pickup the service was still top notch. Sadly I had to use his services again last week when my almost 2 year old dog Sinatra got sick and had to be put down. After the hospital told me their price for cremation I knew who to call. Once again Philip was amazing both when he picked up my baby at the hospital and when I picked up his remains. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for making some of the most difficult days of my life a little easier.

One of the hardest walks of life is to loose a pet, our pets are "Family", so very loved .Within this emotional and devastating time we look to one who will help us through this sorrowful and emotional time, someone who will walk us through the process with sincerity and trust as we leave our beloved pet in their care.Thank you Philip for being that person..On behalf of my Beautiful Boy NekoKathryn

First, We 100% recommend bringing your lost loved ones here. Don’t hesitate! Your fur babies will be taken care of. Unfortunately, we lost our fur baby and it was very unexpected. This all occurred later in the day around 8:30-9pm. We were looking where we would cremate him and did a Google search. I really liked the reviews of pet cremation by water. Since it was late, we contacted Philip though their website and we were able to bring our fur baby to him around 11pm. Philip made the process of unexpectedly losing our baby so much better. And we were so much more at peace knowing he would be taken care of. We all worked so the day he was being cremated by water, we were able to be there via zoom to see our baby one last time before he started the process. I will 100% if something happens will bring my loved one to them again. You will love it too.

Philip is very trustworthy and dependable. He has been the one to cremate all the pets I’ve ever had and he always made me feel better through the process.

Philip was so compassionate and helpful during the painful experience of losing our beloved Smokey. We were able to say goodbye to him as a family in a loving way.

Our cat Marciulka passed away couple weeks ago at home. Philip helped us go thru this painful moment by having final goodbye at home and picking him up for cremation process. Philip and his wife were very professional and explained us the whole process of cremation by water. Our cat's cremations came in a bamboo urn which was very nice, paw print and hair clippings in a small tube - everything looks beautiful. Highly recommended.

They have the most professional courteous respectful staff. I highly recommend this place, they understand what a pet owner is going through and treat you with a kind heart.

We lost a pet early last year in a house fire (smoke inhalation) during the dead of winter. Burial wasn't possible. We felt like regular cremation just wasn't right. Cremation by water felt like the better choice and we're happy we did it. They were so kind with the entire process even though we had a strange pet. I've been meaning to write this review for a while, but it was always hard to think about that time. But even a year and a half later, I still think back on the process and think about how easy it was and right it felt for a difficult time.

tl;dr -- I am thoroughly pleased with my experience and fully recommend. When emailed about pricing information, I got a prompt and detailed reply. When I came in with my pet's body (my 16 y/o cat), the owner answered all my questions about how water cremation is different than fire cremation. I was pleased with the reasonable cost, actually happy about the eco-friendliness of the procedure (why are we burning bodies given global climate change?!?), and deeply relieved about how the procedure is gentle (fire always seemed so violent and even a bit disrespectful to me). And I actually like the look of bamboo urn. Plus, I should mention how I appreciate that he took that extra effort to clip some fur from various parts of her body (to place in a little glass vial); having all her fur colors gives me a visual sense of how she actually looked. My cat was a tiny little thing, and my two other cats shouldn't die for years, so clearly my business isn't some big money maker for him, but he gave me the time, attention, and kindness I needed at that difficult time. I wholeheartedly recommend his services during your difficult time.

This was the best and most comforting experience we could ever ask for. Their process is very transparent and we were 100% sure we got Cottons ashes back only. We were able to drop her off at night and they are very upfront about the costs and what to expect. This was more personal attention than we would have ever received if we had arranged a traditional cremation through our vet. I have told everyone about our experience.

Actually open 24/7, highly professional, dedicated to providing a streamlined and quality experience. Details below.Exactly one year ago, my roommate and I woke up on Memorial Day to find our senior dog had passed in the night. Even worse, we were visiting Chicago from NY, so we couldn't rely on the preparations we had made for her passing. It's hard to describe the panic I felt in that hotel room knowing it was a major holiday and that our options were limited. (We certainly couldn't carry her body back all the way to NY.) I resigned myself to the idea that we would have to pay hundreds of dollars to an emergency pet hospital and started to look for nearby services.Luckily, Pet Cremation by Water was one of the first results and advertised 24/7 services. I called the number expecting to leave a voicemail but lo and behold an actual human picked up the call. I was asked questions about her breed, weight, age, and cause of death. All basic questions to understand our needs and situation. They offered to pick her up but we opted to drop her off so we could get one final ride in the car.Once there, they calmly explained their process and their services. We completed the mini tour, signed all the paperwork, and were out the door in about 15 minutes. We were so overwhelmed by what happened that the simplicity of the process was perfect for us. We were truly impressed with our experience and would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the Chicago area.

Love this place definitely using them in the future, they explained in details the procedures, it's comforting knowing how they send my little guy to his final resting place. I personalized the urn myself.

My Jack Russell, Keely passed away 3 weeks ago. I call cremation by water and talked to Phillip about the cremation by water, he talked me through the process. I’m so glad I went with Pet Cremation by Water and highly recommend it!! Corky

Philip was the absolute best, and I know our Turbo was in great hands with him. I hope we don’t need his services again soon, but he will be our first choice. Thank you again, Philip.

We had to put down my son's dog, lovely Saffron. She was only 3 years old and it was heartbreaking. I would highly recommend Pet Cremation by Water. Not only is it environmentally friendly but the owners made us feel like she was taken care of personally. That was very important to us.

It's been a few months since Phillip and Cremation by Water help us transition Lilly back to us. I cannot say enough about Phillip and his bedside manner during this extremely difficult time for us. I called him to learn more once we found out Lilly was sick. He invited us over for a tour of the facility. He explained the whole process and what would happen once his services were needed. He was kind and caring and explained every single step of the process. He also explained when we would need him to text him any time of the day or night. Unfortunately prior to us needing his service, my in-laws needed him and he was there immediately for them when their dog passed overnight and their vet didn't return their calls. A few weeks later we made the decision to let Lilly pass and Phillip answered the call immediately. Since we were close to his facility, he met us at the vets office and waited until she had passed. He treated her with dignity and I could not have asked for anything more from anyone at this time. The entire process of warm water helping the process seemed so serene to me and it made perfect sense how I wanted her to pass over. He had her back to us within 48 hours as well which was extremely comforting. I even stopped by to select my jewelry pieces I wanted and got to see the process in while happening. It really brought comfort to me! We highly recommend Phillip, his team and Creation by Water to anyone who loves their fur-family or family members and is looking to have a very serene, comforting transition. I beautifully display her next to a picture in her bamboo urn. Thank you to you Phillip and your team. You took a very heartbreaking situation and helped us through the process while caring for Lilly along the way! Thank you for all that you did and will do for others to come!

I want to thank Cremation by Water for their compassion and empathy during this difficult time for me and my family. Phillip provided us with a lot of information, options, and recommended a veterinarian, all while remaining respectful and sensitive. The vet and Cremation by Water came out to our home the same day that we contacted them on June 26th. Our beloved Reno was comfortable in his own home surrounded by his family. They were very caring, kind, and supportive during our Reno's transition. We cannot thank them enough for making one of the worst days a little more bearable.

I have had to use their services twice. Once, when my 9 1/2 yr old pit/ mastiff mix, Stella , she passed at home in January '23. I had been in contact with Phillip, before her passing. Just talking to Phillip put my mind at ease and made things less stressful. At first I thought the cost was high, because I have never had to cremate a pet. But after talking to other places, Creamation by water was priced cheaper by at least half. The second time, was when my 10 year old Boston terrior, Ruger we had to put him to sleep. I called Phillip and told him where Ruger was at, they asked for a picture of Ruger, to make sure they picked up the correct pet.We received both our pets ashes in bamboo cylinders, and also got a paw print with their name on it.Phillip remembered our family. Thank you, for everything you have done for our family,

Staff was amazing and very comforting! I really appreciate everything they did. Highly recommend:)

Thank you!

Losing a pet is never easy. When I lost my Nala unexpectedly I was devastated! Philip provided great comfort and support in this difficult time. Cremation by water is definitely the right choice. Thank you for all you do!

Philip was extremely great and incredibly helpful. Our Dog passed away at 5am, called him at 6am and he responded right away.Thank you for getting back to us so fast and being very understanding in our situation. We absolutely recommend their services.

Pet Cremation by water was an amazing experience and comforting. It is great for the environment and you even get to learn about the process. Philip even tells amazing joke to lighten the mood! Thank you Pet Cremation by water!

Philip was very helpful in this sad situation when we lost our Scruffy of almost 17 years. We needed someone to guide us through this process and Philip did an amazing job in assisting and explaining our options. Very professional, accommodating and respectful. I highly recommend Cremation by Water.

How do I even begin to express the gratitude of how well our beloved pet was handled.First, let me say that I had spoken with 2 other pet cremation businesses. Phil was the only one that didn’t make the phone call seem like a business transaction. Rather, he was very empathetic and recognized we were in mourning. He offered his condolences and spent ample time explaining our options. We were able to drop off our pet the same day and he made accommodations to have a viewing for a rather large family. He made it a point to introduce himself to family members and again took the time to explain the water cremation process. We appreciated his friendly and humorous personality. His humor was delivered in a funny, but sensitive matter, which was much needed and created a sense of ease.Phil, we cannot thank you enough! You made us feel at home, like family. I hope you appreciate my awesome photography skills (self proclaimed) of the beautiful necklace that encases Baby Boys ashes.

We used Pet Cremation by Water twice already and we were amazed at the amount of care and love the staff and Philip showed to our pets and our family . We were heartbroken during that time and they made sure we were comfortable with the process and took care of absolutely everything . We are very thankful to Philip and his team for raising a plank on how service should really be . Thank you ! We highly recommend them to anyone looking to ensure that your loved pet is taken care of this one last time with a great amount of love .Slabada Family.

Words cannot explain our experience with Philip. Our sweet girl passed at home after suffering from a cluster of seizures. We had scheduled her euthanasia appt for the next day after she passed but she couldn’t make it to that appt. But to be honest, it was meant to be. Because she passed at home, she got to experience cremation by water instead of cremation by fire. Admittedly I had no idea this was a thing until I called around to find someone who could pickup our sweet girl after business hours. Philip picked up the phone and immediately had a plan for us to follow. He explained what he does and the benefits to it. He was in our home within the hour (Arlington Heights to the city). He didn’t seem at all bothered that he had to make the trip. He came prepared and professional. He handled our girl with such care and let me help him escort her out (his pallbearer).I had no idea that when I googled searched a 24hr pet cremation service that may be available to pick up our girl after hours… that we would have stumbled across Philip. And I’m so grateful we did. We were able to pick up our girl in her bamboo urn and her claw paw print later that week. Somehow Philip managed to get her crooked nail in the paw print… and that solidified our decision to go with Philip. The small details that matter the most.

This service was so easy and made something so difficult to handle that much easier. Philip is so nice and knowledgeable and I think it’s such a great alternative to traditional cremation for a very adorable price thanks again!

I have used their services twice. Once, for my Chinchilla, Padma, who passed unexpectedly. It was difficult to find a place that would cremate something so small, privately as well. Phillip showed care and concern and gave me a very reasonable pricing. Even though she is a small pet, he assured me her life was significant in their eyes as well. The second time, was when my 15 year old Pittie passed away. We were planning on euthanizing and cremating her elsewhere but she passed sooner than expected. I called Phillip around 5am-6am in the morning and he answered right away and assured me he would be there ASAP. He drove all the way to Brookfield to transport her over. He gave her a private cremation and all for half the price I was quoted at multiple other places. Phillip remembered me even though there was at least a year or two between our first meeting. I am big on customer service and trust and I feel that Phillip and his wife are truly genuine people. This idea of cremation versus the standard cremation by fire just sits better with me as well. Thank you, for everything you have done for me and my family.

I found the words Cremation by Water on a placemat menu advertisement and it got my attention immediately as my dear Daisy Cat was scheduled to go to the vet for her last visit. When that day came, I told the vet that I wanted her cremated by water and that sparked her interest upon which she called the office and spoke to Phillip. Daisy passed away in my arms and we took her there at that time. We found them to be remarkable and Phillip was patient and kind. He helped us through a very difficult experience.

Thank you for providing as great of experience as possible given the circumstances. Philip came to pick up my dog from my home after in home euthanasia. Excellent communication and seemless process. The cremains were returned to me beautifully packed. Philip and his team treated me and my dog with respect from start to finish.
Katie Cohen
Philip and his wife were wonderful. As hard as it was to bring my cat in to be put down, something about them and their facility filled me with peace. I hope I never need to use them again but if I do ever find myself needing to say goodbye to another pet, I would 100% go back to them.

This was the most wonderful experience to have during such a difficult time. Philip is one of the most kindest humans I've ever met and really made me feel supported and heard in a really tough time. I cannot express enough how wonderful the service is. It's beautifully packaged. It was timely. He wanted to make sure that I felt like everything was safe and under control. He took the time to answer all of my messages and even explain details of how it worked so I wasn't confused. Amazing customer service.Definitely recommending him to all of my friends when they're going through a tough time losing a pet. They truly do care and put their heart and soul into this.

My daughter lost her baby of 15 years a Yorkie named Rocky. We were going to do a regular cremation and have his ashes at home. For some odd reason I was calling to confirm my appointment to drop him off and I accidentally called Philip. Let me tell you best thing that happened. He explained how the water cremation is done and I felt so in peace that I told my daughter. We made a great decision in doing it this way. She is happy and at peace she did it with the water cremation. Love this truly recommend

I’m so thankful for Cremation by Water. They made the process so easy in such a difficult time. I didn’t know where to begin with making arrangements for my angel baby Spike, and not only did Philip give me the information about Water Cremation, he gave me referrals to people and places that provide euthanasia services. I would give a million stars if I could! Truly professional, environmental and loving way to cremate your fur baby. Philip even came to pick up my baby when it was his time. Not only did he come, he came a bit earlier to introduce himself in person and explain in greater detail about cremation by water and also met Spike before he went to heaven which, for me, made it that much more special and personal. Thank you so much for such an easy, respectful transition for my baby. The bamboo urn and clay paw print mean so much to me. They even got a little nail imprint on the clay. It’s the little things that mean so much. Thank you again!

At one of the worst times in my life, I happened across this company and my beloved Mick Flurry’s final destination was secured. This team and their service is everything you could want in a dignified, humane and peace of mind manner. I highly recommend Pet Cremation by Water and hope you’ll take this review to heart, it comes straight from mine.

I lost my dog Remi at the age of 15, I rescued her when she was only 6 weeks old and was going to be used as a bait dog for fighting. She was the best dog a guy could have asked for. So losing her wasn’t easy on me or my son who has been with her since he was born. Cremation by water not only let me bring her in on a Sunday afternoon, but didn’t rush me at all. They made a horrible day a lot more manageable. Phil and Colleen are amazing! I highly recommend them for your pets or loved ones. Pricing is very affordable. Almost half of what the vet charges and you don’t even get an urn or paw casting at the vet.

Lost my dear sweet pea, Fluffernutterz, a about two weeks ago..he made my life Amazing since I got him in 2006. I'm still processing his death, especially since i was at a new job while it happened, but my mom found this place that does cremation in water and what they do sounded pretty nice to me.Philip was very compassionate and communicated with answers at any time. My baby was picked up Saturday morning and the ashes with a ceramic paw print stone were available about three days later.I highly recommend them and Fluffernutterz will always be in a special spot in my bedroom..and my heart, always 💜

This is my Velcro buddy taz every time I moved he was there I wanted something better for him than fire and I needed to make sure he was the only one coming home with me so I took him to Philip he is very kind compassionate and explained everything in great detail and showed me the process to put mind at ease it was a very unexpected trip I had to make and he made it a little easier. He answered all of my questions. I have 2 other dogs and will not hesitate to go back to Philip at pet cremations by water I trust him at a time that’s very difficult

Phillip was so very compassionate and helpful to me while I was saying goodbye to my dog, Fletcher. I highly recommend his services and I appreciated the paw print momento and bamboo urn - they were thoughtful and perfect to me as remembrances of my pet.

Alexander passed suddenly on the morning of 7.24.2021. In shock after leaving the veterinary emergency care center with him and as we drove home on autopilot, we didn't know what to do. We thought to take him to a crematorium but found Cremation by Water. Philip answered our call, explained the available services, and emailed us some literature to review. As we sat in our car, still in shock, we decided to take Alex to Cremation by Water. When we arrived, Philip greeted us at the door and comforted us as he went over our options. We chose private cremation, and Philip let us know that Alex’s process would start several hours later but would call via FaceTime when ready. I wanted to know that Alex would be taken care of without us, and Philip did just that. He explained the steps as he took them. We felt comfortable as we watched the process begin; we made the right choice. We picked up Alexander on 7.27. His ashes were in a sustainable bamboo cylinder urn, and his little paw print was perfect. It was wonderful to have Alexander with us again.Philip was very accommodating, empathetic, knowledgeable, respectful, and sincere. I highly recommend Philip and Cremation by Water.

If there was a 6 star rating this service deserves it. I cannot recommend this enough if you're looking for options after losing your pet. They will take care of you and your pet in your time of need. Phillip has an amazing passion for what he does and goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable with the whole process. Thank you to the whole team!!

I have (fortunately) not been a client of Cremation by Water (yet) but I can speak to Philip and his character and know that my Cleo will be taken care of when the time comes.... (in a very long time from now :) ) a friend recently used CBW when her pet passed and I was not at all surprised to hear about the positive experience she had with Philip. It is so important for the love of a fur baby to be respected and our pets deserve a gentle end to their time with us. Call Cremation by Water and hear about the process of cremation by water (alkaline hydrolysis) don't just take my word for it. See for yourself.

Phil was incredibly helpful. He explained the process well and was sensitive to our needs. He even made time to pick up our Guinea pig as we were so close to the facility. When I picked up my Guinea pig he sat down with me to go over everything that I was taking home. The above and beyond moment for me was when he went over all the tiny details on the clay paw imprint.

The night before Fourth of July we lost our family dog. so who is open on the Fourth of July which was on a Sunday We didn’t want to wait till Tuesday for businesses to open leaving our dog at home deceased so I went onto Google and search fastest way to cremate and water cremations was the first one that popped up So I called this business around 7, 8 o’clock in the morning I only had to call one time somebody picked up ASAP his name was Phil he was so kind and gentle with words he knows how to treat people at a time of grief although it was just a pet your pets mean more to you than some family members. Phil made sure I understood the process and he even let me walk through the location I couldn’t have been more happier to have chosen water cremation with Phil I would highly recommend this process for any animal or human thank you PhilipNot to mention my dogs remains were ready on Tuesday and I text him Tuesday morning asking if it wasn’t too late to save my dog snaggletooth and he mentioned timing was everything and he was able to make my wishes come true so thank you for everything you made a 12-year-old little girl and myself feel warm and peace in our heart!Cost efficient, and sensitive at a time that is needed I can’t express how perfect my experience was thank you again

To say that I am grateful that we found Philip and his amazing service is an understatement. His incredible care and compassion made such a difficult experience far more bearable, he went above and beyond. He has an advanced, natural process that makes everything easier to handle. I feel that I will always be indebted to him.

Philip and his wife were wonderful. As hard as it was to bring my cat in to be put down, something about them and their facility filled me with peace. I hope I never need to use them again but if I do ever find myself needing to say goodbye to another pet, I would 100% go back to them.
