Our heartfelt gratitude to the kind & caring staff at Heartstrings. From our initial consult with Shawn, everything took place just as they said it would. Our special thanks to Dr. Erin. She was so gentle & loving with our sweet Milo, and incredibly empathetic with us, allowing us as much time as we needed and giving us special mementos. As difficult as this moment was, to say goodbye to Milo in the comfort of his own home made all the difference for him and our family. The private cremation service they offered was also exceptional. Thank you to everyone at Heartstrings for helping us say a compassionate goodbye to our fur baby.

We were blessed to have been honored to have Neila Rose join our family. We had her 12 years But Oral cancer for 3 1/2 years took its toll on her. We called Heart Strings and Erin Brown DVM came to the home to help Neila cross over to the rainbow bridge. She is so kind, understanding and let us talk about our precious fur baby. I could not have asked for a better outcome to a heartbreaking decision. Our Schooner crossed the rainbow bridge in his favorite spot, our front lawn. He was an anxious boy that was very distraught at vet appointments. Bringing him to that environment at the end of his life would have forever haunted my mind & heart. Instead, he was calm, content and felt nothing but love from his family and the Heartstrings vet team. Dr. Erin was lovely as was her assiting vet. Their hearts are made of gold to do this job over and over and maintain compassion & empathy with each family. They treated our boy like the treasure he has always been. We will be forever grateful for their support & professionalism.

We were able to make a same day appointment and Dr. Erin had such calm, supportive, and loving energy during the home visit. Our sweet cat was able to pass peacefully in the comfort of our home and in our arms. It was heartbreaking to say the least, but Dr. Erin and Shawn the dispatcher made it much easier and less traumatic than an in-office vet visit would have been. Also, the company Heartstrings uses for cremation is very compassionate and respectful. We received a beautiful, personalized wooden box housing the cremains. ❤️ highly recommend Heartstrings

Witnessing your beloved pet in pain is devastating. In the past we have had to take our fur babies to a vets office and the already tough experience was even more difficult on us and our pet.I received a referral to Heartstrings from the person I actually rescued my dog from many years ago. From the first call that I made, to my pets transition was a such a thoughtful experience. I really appreciate how quickly Sean responded and also how he responded with kindness. We were able to schedule our dog that day as his pain had really escalated. We were also able to schedule it for after hours because our son had to come home from college to say goodbye. Dr. Williams was calm and so caring. He took our lead in how it was handled. We were able to say goodbye to our beloved Rascal in our bedroom in our bed where he lay his head every night. We had some light music on and candles, and we were able lay with him and just whisper in his ear as he transitioned. It was a beautiful goodbye and he was not stressed and very much at peace.I do think it was also a lovely touch to be able to have his paw print and snippet of hair to keep as a memento. I highly recommend utilizing Heartstrings if you have this need.

From the owner Shawn being extremely flexible and kind during some rescheduling I had around my dogs euthanasiation, to Dr. Erin and her colleague performing the peace ceremony for Cooper. It was the most at peace I was going to be in a situation like that and they all made it seamless and comforting. Heartstrings is an amazing and caring group. We scheduled short notice on a Sunday afternoon and they quickly came to our house. Shawn and Dr Williams were very compassionate during this time - they gave us all the time we needed. The process was very peaceful. They took Blitz from our home on their bed, blanket and pillow. They even texted us a rainbow that appeared while they were leaving! Days later Shawn personally delivered Blitz back to us in a very nice box with a paw print cast and a nice document. It made this difficult time much more peaceful for us. We can't thank them enough!

These are the most amazing people I have ever come across for the care and love they showed me during the passing of my 14 year old Fella. The initial contact, every question I had was answered with kindness and patience. The day of the visit Dr. Erin from moment one showed compassion and empathy and it was from her heart, you could just tell. She did not rush me, allowed me to spend final moments with my baby, we talked, we shared, and she let me know and reassured me as it was a very difficult decision that it was the right thing as even though he didn't let me know he was suffering, in her profession she knew the signs that I didn't. After the passing, the team came in with a stretcher, laid my guys head on a pillow and the placed a most beautiful blanket around him and carried him out as if he was a human. They even left a lit candle burning in his memory. This is an experience I will never forget. For those of you in doubt about this company and the people, do not doubt, this is the only way to send your baby to heaven is through them. He was home in his own bed and there was no stress on him at all. I can't say enough good things. Lastly Sean the owner gives great hugs when you heart is broken like mine was.

Heartstrings Hospice was wonderful to work with through such a tragic event of needing to put my cat down. My first phone call was handled with care and compassion. I was able to schedule someone to come out on my timeline. The day of, the doctor was running behind since a previous client was taking longer. I was kept updated through text message the entire time. Dr. Erin was truly a gift. From the moment she arrived, she was compassionate and understanding. My 8 and 10 year old were present and she let them take the lead, explaining everything, and answering all of their questions. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but Dr. Erin and the whole team worked hard to make it easier for all involved.

This was my first euthanization and I felt supported throughout the entire process.Shawn took his time answering my questions and talking through scenarios with me during consultation. He even suggested postponing the appt as an option which gave me peace of mind.Dr. Erin performed the procedure and she was just so kind. We didn’t feel rushed at any point; she went at our pace.You do have to pay upfront and there’s not a lot of communication before the day, and there was little communication on when the remains would be delivered, but all my messages were answered quickly.We went with aquamation which is a greener, cleaner alternative to cremation.We miss our Jojo every day and the Heartstrings team made this terribly sad experience easier.

I highly recommend Heartstrings for saying goodbye to your furbabies. We found out my cat was suffering from cancer and the vet recommended euthanasia as soon as possible. I really didn’t want her final moments to be in a strange room with bad fluorescent lighting. We had a wonderful final day together and got to say goodbye to my sweet Penelope as she sat in my lap, basking in a sunbeam (her favorite past time!). Dr. Erin was incredibly compassionate and allowed us all the time and space we needed to say gooodbye. Really appreciate that I was able to arrange everything via text because I was in no condition to talk to anyone. With 3 more cats, I sadly know I will need their services again one day, but find solace in knowing Heartstrings will be there to make such an awful day more bearable.

Heartstrings was a shining light in one of the darkest periods of our lives, and the care, kindness, and compassion they showed to not only our beloved cat but also to our family is something that we’ll never forget.If you’ve ever been in the position of having to decide when the time has come to end your pet’s suffering, then you probably remember the sense of dread, uncertainty, and hopelessness that comes along with it. We were forced to make that decision for our 17-year-old cat Pinky late on a Friday night, headed into the New Year’s weekend. Pinky had been slowly losing her battle with kidney failure, but despite knowing that the inevitable end was approaching, we were taken by surprise with how suddenly things turned and were panic-stricken at the fact that it was happening late on the evening before a holiday weekend. Our normal vet was closed for the holiday and wouldn’t reopen until early the next week, and while Pinky was loving and affectionate towards us, she wasn’t fond of strangers and was terrified of vet offices. The prospect of taking her to an emergency animal hospital to be euthanized made us sick inside.A friend found Heartstrings on Google and suggested that we give them a call. The fact that we could have someone come to our home—where Pinky would be infinitely less scared—seemed almost too good to be true. Despite it being close to 11 pm, Shawn answered the phone when we called that night. He advised us that while their schedule for the next day was already full, he would do his absolute best to fit us in. Shawn stayed in touch with us consistently over the next 18 hours, giving us updates on their schedule and explaining the process and what we should expect when the vet arrived.Shawn personally accompanied Dr. Kelsey to our home for our appointment, and knowing that Pinky didn’t care for strangers, he offered to stay out of sight until everything was finished. Dr. Kelsey was incredibly kind, gentle, and—even though she was squeezing us into the end of a very long day—incredibly patient with us as we said our final goodbyes to Pinky. We never felt rushed and neither Shawn nor Dr. Kelsey made us feel like an imposition. With as difficult as the loss of Pinky was for us, Shawn and Dr. Kelsey made it more peaceful for her than we could have ever hoped—and for that, we are forever grateful to them.

Heartstrings was heaven sent the day my 19-year-old cat needed them. He'd been doing pretty well for an old guy with health issues, and that morning I didn't know it was going to be the day. But he suddenly declined rapidly, and I knew I needed to act fast to avoid a long trip to a cold clinic which would have traumatized us both.Shawn in the Heartstrings office was a soothing, supportive presence to talk to as he miraculously was able to get Dr. Otto Williams out within an hour. Dr. Williams spent some time assessing my cat, holding him and matching his breathing to the feline. The cat's rapid breathing rate told him he couldn't possibly be comfortable, and that it was definitely time.My beloved cat was able to pass on his heating pad atop one of his favorite cushions as I petted him. It was very peaceful to be able to do this at home.I've had luck following the feline quality of life scale in the past before deciding on home euthanasia. But my cat's sudden decline caught me by surprise. I've heard the expression "Better a week early than a day late," when it comes to home pet euthanasia, and I totally agree with that.I feel blessed that Heartstrings was able to be here on the day itself. I'd called a few other companies who couldn't accommodate me on a Saturday evening, which is totally understandable. So my cat and I got very lucky.Heartstrings also did a great job handling my pet's individual cremation and followed up with a lovely card. Highly recommended if you need this service.

Knowing it was time today for Cooper made it very difficult, once I called Heartstrings and talked with Shawn I felt my feelings were heard and cared about. Our appointment was from 3-5. Dr. Williams arrived close to 3:30 and asked questions to get to know Cooper. He sedated Cooper and the euthanasia went very smooth and peaceful. Two very nice men were waiting outside to take him to an individual cremation. It could not have been smoother for a very sad and difficult day. I highly recommend them when needed. Hope it won’t be soon for anyone to call for their beloved family member. Heartstrings was very caring and compassionate.

Our sweet Bella, a golden retriever, was almost 14. She developed health issues and was struggling and failing fast. We lost her brother a year ago and knew it was time to let her go for her own sake. It was an excruciating decision. Heartstrings was absolutely the best - Shawn was comforting and compassionate from the first call throughout the entire process. He was available, responsive, and patient around the clock and Dr. Erin, who came to our home, had a wonderful bedside manner not just for Bella but for us too. Bella drifted away softly and gently in our home with all of us around her. If you have to make this agonizing decision, there is no better way than this group.

My family and I recently miraculously found Shawn and Dr. Erin at Heartstrings during the difficult time of saying goodbye to our beloved furbaby Buddy. Shawn and Dr. Erin could not have been more compassionate and I highly recommend these angels on earth. I reached out to Shawn since I was apprehensive that Buddy’s regular vet would be available when Buddy’s time came, and we kept in touch in the weeks that followed. These are the most amazing people I have ever come across for the care and love they showed me during the passing of my 14 year old Fella. The initial contact, every question I had was answered with kindness and patience. The day of the visit Dr. Erin from moment one showed compassion and empathy and it was from her heart, you could just tell. She did not rush me, allowed me to spend final moments with my baby, we talked, we shared, and she let me know and reassured me as it was a very difficult decision that it was the right thing as even though he didn't let me know he was suffering, in her profession she knew the signs that I didn't. After the passing, the team came in with a stretcher, laid my guys head on a pillow and the placed a most beautiful blanket around him and carried him out as if he was a human. They even left a lit candle burning in his memory. This is an experience I will never forget. For those of you in doubt about this company and the people, do not doubt, this is the only way to send your baby to heaven is through them. He was home in his own bed and there was no stress on him at all. I can't say enough good things. Lastly Sean the owner gives great hugs when you heart is broken like mine was.

Heartstrings Hospice was wonderful to work with through such a tragic event of needing to put my cat down. My first phone call was handled with care and compassion. I was able to schedule someone to come out on my timeline. The day of, the doctor was running behind since a previous client was taking longer. I was kept updated through text message the entire time. Dr. Erin was truly a gift. From the moment she arrived, she was compassionate and understanding. This was my first euthanization and I felt supported throughout the entire process.Shawn took his time answering my questions and talking through scenarios with me during consultation. He even suggested postponing the appt as an option which gave me peace of mind.Dr. Erin performed the procedure and she was just so kind. We didn’t feel rushed at any point; she went at our pace.You do have to pay upfront and there’s not a lot of communication before the day, and there was little communication on when the remains would be delivered, but all my messages were answered quickly.We went with aquamation which is a greener, cleaner alternative to cremation.We miss our Jojo every day and the Heartstrings team made this terribly sad experience easier.

Dr. Erin and Dr. Kelsey arrived exactly at our appointment time. They greeted me and my family with gentle smiles. You could feel a calm come over the room that was very tense before their arrival. Saying goodbye to your pet is one of the hardest things we go through. I let them know that I wanted to do an art project for my family with their help. The truly beautiful part about this experience is Dr. Erin and Dr. Kelsey did things on our time. They hung around while we shared silly stories about Cooper and the way he ran the household before he got sick. My experience with Heartstrings was really wonderful despite the circumstance, which was a sad one but also a bit unusual. Dr. Erin and Shawn have so much understanding and compassion. They are skilled in pet hospice, regardless of the situation. My beloved pet, Mamacita, was a stray cat who I had been feeding for 11 years and who eventually chose my garage as her home. She was so sweet to me and such a special cat. But since she had been thrown outside as s kitten, she was understandably afraid of other people and situations. She developed a cancer on her foot and, as she deteriorated, I really fretted about how I was going to be able to help her die peacefully. She had been terrified when I put her in a crate for her diagnosis. I didn't want to do this to her again, and, especially, not before her passing. I called Heartstrings. Honestly I didnt think a vet would come here to help in this situation. But immediately, Shawn assured me that they would help Mamacita pass in her home, my garage. I was so relieved. Dr. Erin was just wonderful. She actually got down on a cushion, on my garage floor, so she could properly administer the meds to Mama who had crawled onto my lap, partially under a table. After her very peaceful passing, Mamacita was placed in a beautiful basket with pretty linen. I miss this sweet kitty and will never forget her and her cute personality. But I am comforted in knowing she passed peacefully and with the dignity and respect she deserved, thanks so much to Shawn and Dr.Erin at Heartstrings.

I highly recommend Heartstrings for saying goodbye to your furbabies. We found out my cat was suffering from cancer and the vet recommended euthanasia as soon as possible. I really didn’t want her final moments to be in a strange room with bad fluorescent lighting. We had a wonderful final day together and got to say goodbye to my sweet Penelope as she sat in my lap, basking in a sunbeam (her favorite past time!). Dr. Erin was incredibly compassionate and allowed us all the time and space we needed to say gooodbye. Heartstrings was a shining light in one of the darkest periods of our lives, and the care, kindness, and compassion they showed to not only our beloved cat but also to our family is something that we’ll never forget.If you’ve ever been in the position of having to decide when the time has come to end your pet’s suffering, then you probably remember the sense of dread, uncertainty, and hopelessness that comes along with it. We were forced to make that decision for our 17-year-old cat Pinky late on a Friday night, headed into the New Year’s weekend. Pinky had been slowly losing her battle with kidney failure, but despite knowing that the inevitable end was approaching, we were taken by surprise with how suddenly things turned and were panic-stricken at the fact that it was happening late on the evening before a holiday weekend. Our normal vet was closed for the holiday and wouldn’t reopen until early the next week, and while Pinky was loving and affectionate towards us, she wasn’t fond of strangers and was terrified of vet offices. The prospect of taking her to an emergency animal hospital to be euthanized made us sick inside.A friend found Heartstrings on Google and suggested that we give them a call. The fact that we could have someone come to our home—where Pinky would be infinitely less scared—seemed almost too good to be true. Despite it being close to 11 pm, Shawn answered the phone when we called that night. He advised us that while their schedule for the next day was already full, he would do his absolute best to fit us in. Shawn stayed in touch with us consistently over the next 18 hours, giving us updates on their schedule and explaining the process and what we should expect when the vet arrived.Shawn personally accompanied Dr. Kelsey to our home for our appointment, and knowing that Pinky didn’t care for strangers, he offered to stay out of sight until everything was finished. Dr. Kelsey was incredibly kind, gentle, and—even though she was squeezing us into the end of a very long day—incredibly patient with us as we said our final goodbyes to Pinky. We never felt rushed and neither Shawn nor Dr. Kelsey made us feel like an imposition. With as difficult as the loss of Pinky was for us, Shawn and Dr. Kelsey made it more peaceful for her than we could have ever hoped—and for that, we are forever grateful to them.

Heartstrings was heaven sent the day my 19-year-old cat needed them. He'd been doing pretty well for an old guy with health issues, and that morning I didn't know it was going to be the day. But he suddenly declined rapidly, and I knew I needed to act fast to avoid a long trip to a cold clinic which would have traumatized us both.Shawn in the Heartstrings office was a soothing, supportive presence to talk to as he miraculously was able to get Dr. Otto Williams out within an hour. Dr. Williams spent some time assessing my cat, holding him and matching his breathing to the feline. The cat's rapid breathing rate told him he couldn't possibly be comfortable, and that it was definitely time.My beloved cat was able to pass on his heating pad atop one of his favorite cushions as I petted him. It was very peaceful to be able to do this at home.I've had luck following the feline quality of life scale in the past before deciding on home euthanasia. But my cat's sudden decline caught me by surprise. I've heard the expression "Better a week early than a day late," when it comes to home pet euthanasia, and I totally agree with that.I feel blessed that Heartstrings was able to be here on the day itself. I'd called a few other companies who couldn't accommodate me on a Saturday evening, which is totally understandable. So my cat and I got very lucky.Heartstrings also did a great job handling my pet's individual cremation and followed up with a lovely card. Highly recommended if you need this service.

Knowing it was time today for Cooper made it very difficult, once I called Heartstrings and talked with Shawn I felt my feelings were heard and cared about. Our appointment was from 3-5. Dr. Williams arrived close to 3:30 and asked questions to get to know Cooper. He sedated Cooper and the euthanasia went very smooth and peaceful. Dr. Erin and Dr. Kelsey arrived exactly at our appointment time. They greeted me and my family with gentle smiles. You could feel a calm come over the room that was very tense before their arrival. Saying goodbye to your pet is one of the hardest things we go through. I let them know that I wanted to do an art project for my family with their help. The truly beautiful part about this experience is Dr. Erin and Dr. Kelsey did things on our time. They hung around while we shared silly stories about Cooper and the way he ran the household before he got sick. I was able to complete my art project with their assistance which brought a bit of extra comfort. They were both gentle and compassionate. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Highly recommend Heartstrings when considering next steps for end of life and after care for the fur babies.

Dr. Reagan and staff were supportive, kind, and gentle throughout this whole experience. My experience with Heartstrings was really wonderful despite the circumstance, which was a sad one but also a bit unusual. Dr. Erin and Shawn have so much understanding and compassion. They are skilled in pet hospice, regardless of the situation. My beloved pet, Mamacita, was a stray cat who I had been feeding for 11 years and who eventually chose my garage as her home. She was so sweet to me and such a special cat. But since she had been thrown outside as s kitten, she was understandably afraid of other people and situations. She developed a cancer on her foot and, as she deteriorated, I really fretted about how I was going to be able to help her die peacefully. She had been terrified when I put her in a crate for her diagnosis. I didn't want to do this to her again, and, especially, not before her passing. I called Heartstrings. Honestly I didnt think a vet would come here to help in this situation. But immediately, Shawn assured me that they would help Mamacita pass in her home, my garage. I was so relieved. Dr. Erin was just wonderful. She actually got down on a cushion, on my garage floor, so she could properly administer the meds to Mama who had crawled onto my lap, partially under a table. After her very peaceful passing, Mamacita was placed in a beautiful basket with pretty linen. I miss this sweet kitty and will never forget her and her cute personality. But I am comforted in knowing she passed peacefully and with the dignity and respect she deserved, thanks so much to Shawn and Dr.Erin at Heartstrings.

This was a sudden and last minute decision to euthanize our fur baby but everything fell into place the way it was supposed to. They worked with us on such short notice and Dr. Erin was very patient with us and empathized with our pain. She sat and answered our questions and made it a little easier to put our baby to sleep. Shawn and Dr. Erin were amazing. My 24 year old kitty was my ride or die, and it was brutal to let her go. Dr. Erin was very empathic and Shawn tucked my little Buppie in a bed so my last picture of her was being tucked in and at peace. Cannot recommend these two enough!!

There wasn't ever going to be an easy way to say goodbye to our Cooper, but Dr. Erin and Dr. Kelsey helped us find the peace that we needed. They were so warm and so personable, and they treated our poor, sweet boy like he was all that mattered. Cooper was given the respect and kindness that he deserved at the end and we will always be grateful to them. I must also mention the aftercare. They reached out to us with sympathy and understanding, and our dog's remains were delivered in a beautiful personalized box. Such a nice touch. They even sent sympathy cards to follow up, offering their extended help if needed.I can’t say enough about the empathy and professionalism that my family and I received from this organization, I encourage everyone to give them a call when you need the service.
