We recently lost our Harley, after 17 years with us. We were struggling with decisions we had made after his loss and Athens Pet Cremation was extremely kind to us and helped us make arrangements for a better solution that brought us peace after losing our boy! First initial contact was through email and they got back to us immediately. They worked with us every step of the way and we couldn’t be more grateful for such a positive experience at a time of such great loss.

We lost our beloved Dog, Chelsey of 16.5 years. She had been there through it all and losing a pet who has been there from the start of a family was a significant loss for us. I called not knowing what I was supposed to do and pretty emotional to say the least. Lindsay was so patient and kind and made a appointment for us the same day. My Husband and 14yr old Son came with me to say goodbye to our girl and both ladies were very professional. They gave us all the time we needed before her body was taken away. I couldn't imagine doing what it is they do everyday but they were truly professional, honest and very sympathetic. They asked if I would like to be called when the cremation was over and I told them that I really did not want to not speak to anyone right now and could they just text me and Lindsay made that happen! She sent me proofs of the urn which I changed on her the next day because I had some time to think about it. They coordinated to have the remains transported to a closer location as we live in Madison. And I asked her to send me a picture of the finished urn and she did. Very accommodating to get you through all of it. I felt comfortable and my mind at ease knowing that my girl was in the best possible hands to make her memory remembered. While I wish to never go back, I will return here for my next fur baby's departure. Also, they have a variety of options for all budgets. I highly recommend Athens Pet Cremation. Thank you Lindsay, you are a gem!

We had to put our senior dog to sleep and that same day I called Athens Pet Cremation for information. Tyler called me back very quickly and provided all of the information for pet cremation. Not only was pricing fair but they are very attentive. Tyler went above and beyond giving us time to say goodbye to our pet and following up with us prior to our appointment that afternoon. I would recommend Athens Pet Cremation to everyone! Superior service and very caring and compassionate during a difficult time.

I'm still grieving the loss of my Weim of almost 13 years, but I wanted to take a minute to give APC a positive review in case you're reading this review at a similar time of loss to the one I just faced.From answering my initial frantic phone call for information, to receiving my dog, all the way through delivery of the cremains, the staff were very professional and empathetic to my needs. The service they provide is great and the cost is very reasonable.I hope it's awhile before I need them again, but I will not hesitate to use them in the future. They have earned my word-of-mouth recommendation to family and friends.

Our beloved nearly 12 year old golden retrievers body finally gave out and we had to let her go. I spoke with Lindsay to arrange same day vet pickup cremation service. I cannot speak enough about the caring, kind and informative response we had. If you love your pet as much as we did, you are in very good hands with Lindsay and Athens Pet Cremation. They make a difficult time easier to bare.

This facility treated my family and dog better then I have had with traditional People funerals overall. Our dog was a member of the family and the impact was hard to digest on this sudden loss and events. Lindsie with Athens Pet Cremation was there the whole time literally had picked up our French Bulldog within the hour of us having to put her down. (Even after hours at no charge even though they would normally Charge for this service) She coordinated on the fly quickly with the University of GA Small Animal Facility (Fantastic Place and state of the art overall and the overall team there). Top Notch all the way around is all I can say.

Kelley and I just wanted to share our experience with Lyndsie at Athens Pet Cremation when we had to have our beloved 15 yr old little girl Bailey put to sleep.Bailey had been sick for awhile , but the end came quickly over a weekend and on a Sunday. We knew it was time and didn't want Bailey to suffer another day. We wanted her euthanized at home and needed private cremation services same day. We were scrambling to find a mobile vet and cremation service to help us. I got a call back from Lyndsie. She is an angel who swooped in and began to make one of the hardest days of our lives a lot more bearable. She offered assistance with finding a mobile vet (who was an angel too) and made the connection. Words Cannot begin to describe our gratitude. Shortly afteBailey went to doggie Heaven, we were able to meet Lyndsie at the facility with Bailey. Lyndsie was gracious and comforting. We said our goodbyes to Bailey knowing Lyndsie would care for our little girl.We were able to go back fairly early next day to get Bailey's ashes.We will never forget Lyndsie and the kindnesses and help she gave at an awful sad time in our lives.

I can't say enough about how much we appreciated the care we received at Athens Pet Cremation. When our dog crossed over suddenly, we were in shock and grief. I found out about this company through a flier in the Comfort Room at the UGA hospital. It's not listed on their main list of options, probably because it's a newer facility, but grab their flier if you find yourself in the Comfort Room. Lindsie made the most horrible experience bearable for us with her compassionate care and step-by-step guidance. We couldn't have asked for a kinder guide. We had some concerns--timing, distance, cost, and assurance that we were getting our own dog's ashes. As far as the timing, we called Lindsie the afternoon after our loss and she was able to arrange pickup (FREE from UGA! Costly with other facilities, especially for an extra-large dog) and a private cremation and ashes pickup that same day. Meaning we were able to take our pet home with us that same day, which meant a lot to us. We were able to be present for the cremation, have a few moments with our pet to say goodbye, and witness the process being as involved as we wanted to be, giving us great peace of mind. They showed us a tag with his unique number and we witnessed the tag going in with his body and it was returned with his ashes. This was so important to me--his cremation was conducted with the utmost compassion, dignity, and respect for both his remains and our feelings and needs. She did everything to make us as comfortable as possible during our time there. As far as distance, this is the only facility in Athens. It was such a relief to be able to do this locally, supporting a local business and not having to drive very far in our grief. Regarding the cost, other facilities within a 2-hour drive were far more costly. Because APC was so much more affordable, we were able to afford a nice urn with an engraving, a luxury that I didn't expect. They provide many urn, memorial, and jewelry choices in-house but provide you with the ashes bagged in a nice box initially with zero pressure to purchase anything and options viewable on their website. We ordered an urn and returned to have the ashes transferred the next week. The entire process was unexpectedly smooth and very, very comforting. I'm eternally grateful for this facility and although it was a tragedy that brought us together, it was an absolutely perfect experience.

This place saved the day for us. Of all the places we called, Tyler was the only person that called us back. Not only did he call back immediately on Memorial Day evening he was very helpful, compassionate and caring. He was able to refer me to Lap of Love whom I also had the best experience possible given the situation. Because of Tyler my baby no longer suffered and was able to leave this earth in the comfort of her living room. I will forever be grateful.

Our precious Khanook had an under lying illness that took him from us very unexpectedly. After calling several crematories, being told it would cost around $300.00, with his remains being handed to me in a baggie type container, I contacted Pet Cremation. Lindsey was so helpful and compassionate. They were able to immediately take Khanook and had him back home the same day. When we arrived, we were given his remains in a air tight plastic bag with it inside a white container with his cremation tag attached. Lindsey also gave us clippings of his fur and a paw print; one inked and one scanned. I strongly recommend this business.

If I could put more than 5 stars I would. Lindsie and Nicole was absolutely was very compassionate and helpful on the loss of our 16 year old cat, known as Sudki. We will always miss her and thanks to Athens Pet Cremation, they made all that so much easier. Thank You from, James, Elizabeth, Allie and Bella.

I am so thankful that this service is available so close to me. Lindsie was so wonderful when my sweet Sniffles passed. She listened to my stories about Sniffles and allowed me to grieve. She helped me through the process of picking out the perfect urn for Sniffles and I got her cremains back the same afternoon and got the engraved urn in five days. Thanks for everything!! I definitely recommend.

The care and special touches given to our senior dog, who had spent 15 years with us, were above and beyond our expectations. Lindsie treated him like a loved member of her own family. And she treated my wife and I the same way. I highly recommend them in your time of sadness and need.

Athens Pet Cremation did q wonderful job. It was, of course, very difficult to have to call them, but being able to call on a Saturday night was a big help with a painful situation. They were very professional, courteous and I really appreciated their help.

We sadly had to take 2 of our furbabies here. We lost our Petey Boy on Christmas Eve of 2020 and our Trixie on 12/12/ 2021. The young ladies there helped with everything that we needed. They were very sympathetic and took their time with us.
