I unfortunately had to put down my chocolate lab, Kai, last week at the Animal ER at UTC. They set up for Kai to be cremated with Belspur Oaks. I was so impressed with the presentation. The quality of the box is great. They also left me a certificate and a lovely card that brought me to tears. Kai was my best friend for 10 years & now she is with me forever! I am so thankful to have her back home with me & my family. Thank you Belspur Oaks!

Thank you so much! The special things you did to honor my little Sammy was beyond my expectations. The footprint with his name debossed, the card, the box, the booklet on grieving, etc was far more than I ever expected. Everything was done in such a respectful, professional manner. Thank you for your kindness! My little guy is now at peace & no longer in pain. I miss him.

My baby girl of 14.5 years passed away from kidney failure. 😭😭😭 One of the hardest decisions that I had to make. The Vet Medical Center in Lakewood Ranch uses this place for her private cremation. When I went to pick up her ashes, I was pleasantly surprised that her ashes were in a nice wooden box (not in a plastic bag…this was how I got my friend’s human remains) and in a wine-colored velvet bag. That made me feel good that they handled my girl’s body and remains with respect and care.

I had to put down my beautiful boy last Monday. He was in my life for 20 years!!! Easily, one of the hardest decisions ever made 😭 Thank you to Belspur Oaks for putting Charley’s remains in this beautiful intricate box. Everything was packaged so beautifully 🙏🏼❤️

Your company delivered my dogs ashes with a piece of gray wire sticking out in the bag. It’s was very obvious and a disgusting display of your insensitivity and carelessness during a very sensitive time. Please choose another company if you want your pet to be cremated in a dignified way.

We lost our beloved Great Dane Daisy on 11/29/22. We entrusted our vet to put her to sleep and have her cremated. I've been thru this process a few times before with 2 other Danes. Belspur Oaks' handling of the cremains exceeded my expectations. Daisy's urn is absolutely beautiful. I love that they handled everything with such care and compassion. They also include a booklet on grief and The Rainbow Bridge. I am so appreciative of their services.

My dear dog passed away after 14 years as my significant other. My vet arranged for Belspur Oaks to take care of her cremation. When her ashes were returned, it was in a carved wooden box in a velvet bag with a variety of important materials on grieving. Thank you so much.. She went out first class.

They don't even deserve the one star. Despite arranging to have my beloved dog picked up and cremated PRIOR to having him euthanized our beautiful dog was left at the vets office for 6 days. We called Belspur to arrange to pick up the ashes and were told that they had not picked him up yet and didn't know when they would due to staffing shortage. This has caused us so much additional agony thinking of our beautiful dig lying in the cooler for 6 days . Our vet helped us arrange for another provider to pick him up. . This is a terrible way to treat grieving pet owners and disrespectful to our wonderful furry family members. If you love and value your pet DON'T USE BELSPUR OAKS CREMATORIUM.

I can’t speak highly enough about the service with Belspur. We have had several of our pets cremated by them throughout the year. They have always done a wonderful job. I can’t recommend them enough. My 14 year old doxie Papi passed away. They did a wonderful job so thoughtful and kind in cremating him.

We recently said farewell to our 17 year old kitty, and Belspur Oaks handled the cremation through our Vet. They do a tremendous job and make a very difficult situation such a positive outcome with the beautiful wooden inlaid box that holds the ashes, pawprint with my cat's Polish name "Wojtek" (spelled correctly!), supportive grief counseling paperwork, certificates, labeling on the bottom of the box (our Irish Setter also has a matching box - and I knew that box contains our Dylan because of the label!). Every "T" is crossed and "I" dotted, which brings us comfort and peace during an extremely difficult time. Thank you Belspur Oaks team!

We just lost our fur baby on Monday, by Friday we had our precious Riley back. I didn't even know who our vet used for cremation, but through the grief we were going through I had to have trust. I was so impressed with Belspur oaks. The wooded box was beautiful and the velvet bag. Inside was a poem and a book that just brought me tears. I finally feel a little peace and can start the healing process. Thank you for helping us through this difficult time.

I am a veterinarian and have used Belspur for all of my patients cremations for the past 20 years. We have never had any problems and completely trust them to handle our personal pets and our patients. It disheartens me to see his business attacked on here. Angel Trudo- I am very sorry about your loss of your beloved family pup. However, I feel your review is an unfair attack on his business. It is absolutely the clinic's responsiblilty to make sure that any items you wanted back come back to you. We do not send anything with Belspur that the owner doesn't want cremated with that pet. There is no one that works harder than the owner of this business.

Several weeks ago, our beloved pet Millie went over the Rainbow Bridge. The following day we contacted Barbara of Belspur Oaks Pet Crematorium. She told us to immediately bring Millie to her in Sarasota. Upon our arrival Barbara was there to meet us and she gave real heartfelt condolences and started to help with our grieving process. She gently took the remains and assured us she would take great care with them. Later Barbara and her Husband Ray came to us with gentleness and gave us a well made ashes container in a very nice embossed velvet bag which states " Until we meet again over the Rainbow Bridge". We would and will highly recommend Belspur to anyone who needs understanding, compassion and kindness in a time of loss of their beloved pet. Once again heartfelt thanks to Barbara and Ray for their kindness.

FIRST CLASS SERVICE Losing a pet is already a devastating experience. Having a compassionate and caring service like Belspur Oaks makes it a little easier. We lost 2 older kitties on the same day, and my wonderful vet Dr. Huber uses Belspur Oaks. We were nothing short of amazed when we got the beautiful wooden carved urns, complete with cards, grief books, certificates of private cremation for each kitty, lovely velvet bags and very tasteful carrying bags when my husband picked them up. And they are very very reasonable too. I can't say enough about these people- they own and love animals, and I feel like they treated my kitties as their own.

I had my chinchilla cremated by them, they did amazing! my second chinchilla passed away a couple years later so i figured i would take him there. i get there at noon and no one is there. i called and they wanted me to wait out in my car for 4 hours with my dead chinchilla in my arms!! how rude, so i took my business somewhere else..

My dog Siena died in my husband's arms over Labor Day weekend. We brought her to Suncoast but didn't want to use their crematory so we called Belspur. (My cat was cremated earlier this year so I was familiar with them through my vet). Losing my fur baby at home was so devastating and I felt that I was in good hands with Belspur. I asked Ray to contact me when he picked up Siena and he did. He was such a pleasure to deal with during such a traumatic time and especially since my vet was not open. I am a psycho dog mom and he eased my mind. I just picked her up today and her ashes were in a beautiful velvet bag. I asked Ray to cut some fur and make a paw print if possible and they were packaged beautifully. Thank you so much!

It has been over a year since my SKEETER has been gone. Everyday I am impressed with the thoughtful care taken and presentation of my dog's cremains. My Vet Collingswood uses this service and was by far superior to the service I had planned to use. I had expected to upgrade the box but really like the carved one provided. A sincere Thank You to the staff at Belspur Oaks for your exceptional professionalism.

We lost our baby of thirteen years late in the afternoon on 3/24 (Friday). Today (3/30) our baby boy is back home with us. We were told in advance that it could be "weeks". I am pleasantly surprised how quickly he was returned to us. Less than a week, especially since it was right before the weekend. He was placed in a beautiful carved box. Though the pain of losing him is immense and crippling, I feel like they truly showed both him and us respect during this awful time. Thank you. ❣️

This past Monday I made the hardest decision and I lost my best friend and baby boy whiskey. The past 4 days have been the longest days I've ever been apart from him. When I finally got the call to come and pick him up I was thrilled and yet heartbroken because I didn't know what I was getting. I thought I was going to be receiving a plain wooden box and a business card but my expectations we're blown away. The carved wooden urn with the gold inlay hit my emotions and I just burst into tears of how beautiful it was. And instead of a business card, it was a beautiful letter to help ease the sorrow from an unknown author. I highly recommend this place. You can truly tell these people care about your beloved pets and go beyond your expectations to insure your pet will be respected in the after life. Thank you Soo much for giving me.

My cat was diagnosed with congestive heart failure at the young age of 7. It was devastating - when the time came, I had a veterinarian come to my home to put him to sleep. This was supposed to be as comforting and painless as possible both for my kitty and me. The vet recommended sending my cat to Belspur for cremation, and asked for my cell phone number twice to make sure they could contact me about delivery of the ashes. A few days later, I opened my front door to a bag just sitting on the porch. I can't tell you how upsetting it was to find my beloved animal like that. I had been home all morning, no phone call, no knock on the door, no time to prepare emotionally. The owner only made the process worse, questioning my account, saying "that is not how we do business. We only leave ashes if the owner specifically requests that we do so." I would recommend that anyone grieving an animal, and expecting comfort, stay far away from this owner and business.

Belspur has done all my pets but one. That one was not my choice and I was taken back when my cremains were returned and it had not been done by Belspur. I have just lost another pet and am personally handling his cremation with Belspur. Barbara has gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs and has been so compassionate. They love animals and understand the grief pet owners are dealing with. They also care for a colony of free roaming feral/semi feral cats in the industrial park they are located in. They also trap and foster underage kittens to socialize them so they can become adoptable pets. If you find yourself in need of this service, they have 30 years experience and take great pride in assisting pet owners thru the grief process. They are regulated as required by law, and this is a life time investment in equipment, compassion and support in our darkest hour. I don't know how anyone could write a negative review about Barbara and Ray, other than it was during their grief process that they lashed out. These people are awesome! I am sorry if you need their service, but if you do need it, they will handle your pet with love and dignity and offer you the support you need too.

We had our cat put down due to health issues. Our veterinarian works with Belspur Oaks to cremate pets. And we were so pleasantly surprised when we received our pets cremains. We just got back our beloved Chief. Words can’t express our gratitude. My husband picked him up from our vet and was given a beautiful bag. Our boy was in a beautiful carved wooden box, that was in a velvet bag a ceramic paw print and a certificate and booklet. You have no idea how much it means to us, that our baby boy was so well taken care of. It warms our hearts and gives us gentle closure. Thank you so much.

I had a wonderful experience with Belspur Oaks. Everything was done so beautifully. I loved the little carved box that my kitty came in and the paw print they made with his name on it made him seem even more special then he already was. Thank you for the professionalism that you showed me and my best friend Max. You are very much appreciated.

As a long time client who has had many animals done by them, they apparently don't care about the customer anymore. I had an emergency pet death over the weekend and decided to call the emergency number and leave a message around 4pm on Saturday to find out what I should do. Never heard back. Now comes Monday and I call first thing and no one picks up. I leave a message and tell them I need their help and when can i bring my pet in 4 hours later still nothing I called Sarasota pet crematory 3 minutes after they opened opened and they greeted me instantly with compassion, so I went there instead. A little more pricier but you will definitely see the difference in quality of both attitude and caring. If you expect grieving and a personal caring experience do not no expect it here cause it must just be just about when they feel like answering a phone when they need some cash.

I was overwhelmed & extremely pleased by the professional & kind service that I received at Belspur. My 13 year old Yorkie named Rosie passed away unexpectedly at work (she came to work with me everyday). I called Belspur & talked to the owner Ray who was kind and sympathetic as we discussed final arrangements for Rosie. That same day...I took Rosie to Belspur and was greeted by Ray the owner (who stayed after closing time to meet me!!!) The office is clean and professional...perfect! Rosie's ashes were delivered back to me (by an employee of Belspur) who was SUPER kind and sympathetic...I was IMPRESSED!!! The presentation of Rosie's ashes was OUTSTANDING!!!! A lovely velvet bag embroidered with "Until We Meet Again At The Rainbow Bridge", a lovely craved wooded box, and lots of high quality colored printed material to read and ease my pain and sadness over Rosie's passing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Belspur!!! Thank you : )

The quality and obvious care and thought that Belspur Oaks Pet Crematory puts into its service was exceptional. Our Vet (Best Friends) gave them a top notch rating too, which is pretty remarkable. Beautiful wooden box, certificate of private cremation, and a thoughtful book on grieving the loss of a pet.
Diane Ribelin
This was the crematory my vet had on service. So, I did not pick it, but was so pleased with the products that I received back. I have had the use of these type of services before unfortunately, but Belspur was remarkable. They put attention to detail and it is that thought that comforts me thinking they took care of our beautiful friend this way. Thank you.
Jennie Lucier
Multiple documented phone calls were unreturned until the vet called. The owner "claimed" he had returned my call, which was a lie. He didn't return my call until I left a fourth message over a period of 3 weeks. My beloved dog's remains were returned to me sealed, which I never requested, as I already had plans. An additional trip had to be made to have the problem corrected. While he offered to pick up her remains, there was no way I could trust him. This is not an appropriate way to treat someone who is suffering from a devastating loss.
Sergio Baril
They did not send the paw print of my dog with the ashes. They never answered our calls and two weeks later they sent to the veterinary a " paw print" saying the found it after a mixup. Never they just sent a print from another dog. This caused tremendous grieve to my wife. Our dog was her 24 hour companion for 13 years. I would never recommend them.

We were very happy with the care they put into the memorial for our beloved furbaby. We received not only the remains in a beautiful wooden box and velvet bag,but the paw print was also beautifully decorated with flowers and my pets name.

They do not return calls or emails. They do not respect the living nor the dead. The will not reposed to even BBB complaints. They literally do not care. My wife is beyond broken hearted of the loss of her dog of 16 years and this company has made the grieving process even worse. Find somewhere else to take your pet.
Dave Stevens
There is no way that you can be confident in getting your pets ashes back. They messed up and put our girl in a mass cremation. They took a week and never called us back 😔. Terrible communication, ask many questions and be very cautious. Very traumatic experience, and very sad not getting our girls ashes not returned to us.

My African Grey Congo "Tango" passed away recently. I went through Collingswood Animal Hospital in Port Charlotte and Belspur Oaks Pet Crematory took care of her Cremation. When I received her today in the nice wooden box, with her name plate it brought me comfort. They really provided a good service. Thank you so much for the care and kindness to all at Belspur Oaks PC.

The care and empathy we received at Belspur Oaks has gone a long way to starting the healing process. I would recommend them for any pet cremation.

Phenomenal service. I was brokenhearted from the death of my pet but this place did an incredible job with the entire process. Losing a pet can be so hard, but it was so comforting to me to know that I was going to "get him back", rather than just burying him in the ground. Definitely would recommend to those who consider your pets to be a part of your family! Very thankful that I found this place.

I just spoke with the nicest man and he explained to me their procedure of picking up our precious babies. My Sophie went to heaven on Sunday and they picked her up that day and I have her ashes back already. I told him that at the emergency ER that they told me about a week. This nice man told me that they tell you that just in case, but they pick up there everyday. He assured me that it is my baby I got back. Thank you for answering all my questions. It meant a lot to me. I am so heart sick over losing her. Sincerely, Alyce Cronin

Very excellent service. I was treated with care & understanding . This is the second time I've been there . I will recommend them to anyone who has a pet loss. Their standered urn is VERY beautiful, & the velvet like pouch is so heart warming . ❤🐾

Thank you.

Terrible service. My pets name was misspelled on all paperwork. I called 3/15 and man said to email them. I emailed same day. No reply back from them. I called again on Friday 3/17 and man said corrected paperwork was mailed. On 3/23 my vets office also called and was told paperwork had been mailed on Monday. I have yet to receive any corrected papers or a reply back to my email or a phone call followup..nothing....Terrible service.

Lost my best friend of 18 years. I’ve never experienced pet cremation before and I was so pleasantly surprised by how it was handled. It was everything my boy Yang deserved.
