My 1 year old neutered cat was having symptoms of urinary tract/bladder problems. Visits to his regular vet and an emergency hospital a few days later left me minus over $500. That would have been worth it had they been able to draw a urine sample… anything at that point, good or bad I needed a definitive answer.Hoping it was stress related and worried it was worse, I packed him up and went to Pet Vet. After a thorough exam, it was once again explained that they could not draw a urine sample as his bladder was empty. This is where the level of care soared above his regular vet and ER pet clinic. At Pet Vet, I was given the option of leaving him at the office for a few hours while they ran an IV, so they could draw a sample to test. Incredible! In retrospect, it seemed like such a simple way to fix the problem. Neutered males are known to be at higher risk for serious bladder/urinary tract issues. I needed an answer and Pet Vet provided it. Thankfully, my kitty is fine.He received a bill of health and I found a new Vet!

I took my 4 year old dog in for an exam, immunizations, and to get his preventatives.  It was our first time at this clinic.  When we got there, they put us into a room to wait for the doctor to come in.  Finally the doctor came in with his assistant.  There was no greeting whatsoever to me or my pet, no introduction, no interaction with my dog whatsoever, no talking to me or anything.  His assistant just suddenly grabbed my dog aggressively to hold him so the doctor could give him his shots.  But my poor dog, not knowing who this person was or why she was being to aggressive, completely freaked out.  He was trying to pull away while she was so intent on holding on to him, she was practically choking him while the doctor was jamming him with needles.  I had to tell her several times to let go of him before she finally let go.  When she let go, my dog was so terrified, he didn't even want ME to touch him.  ALL of this was completely unnecessary.  My dog has been to other Vets and no one has ever had to do this to him to give him shots.  So when all that was over, there was no exam, no questions asked  by the doctor to me, just nothing.  He just walked out and that was it.  These people charged me for an exam that did not happen along with everything else.  My dog was so upset, I just paid it and got him out of there.  After we got home he was stuck to me like glue. And thar night, as he slept with me, he kept having nightmares, kicking his feet and crying. And at some point, he got up and pee'd on the floor. He has NEVER done that. We will never go back.  I posted a review about this when it first happened, but it has somehow disappeared.  Please beware of this place.  In doing some digging, I found an article about this doctor.  Apparently there was a different doctor in this office a couple years ago but he retired.  According to this doctor's words when he was approached about taking over this office, was wanted to retire as well.  But he was talked into taking over.  He literally said "I really didn't want it.  I wanted to retire." I have filed a complaint with the Florida State Licensing Board about this doctor and what happened.  After this, he really needs to go ahead with that retirement if this is how he's gonna treat animals.***Update***12/30/2024 The doctor actually called me this morning and apologized for the way everything went and offered to refund me for the appointment. He went on to explain that he had a stroke and that's why there was no interaction. And while I do sympathize that that happened, if he is unable to interact with animals and provide a safe, comfortable environment where innocent animals are not traumatized, he should not have come back. And although I appreciate the phone call, as a pet-parent, it's my job in life to make sure my pet is healthy, happy, and safe from harm. And I should never have to worry about if my pet will be subjected to trauma or abuse at the Vets office. Not ever. I stand by what I said in my statement, please retire. This is not ok.

We are new to the area and we are so happy to have the Pet Vet nearby. We had our female pom spade and they did such a great job. She is coming around this morning and all is looking good. I could not imagine the things these people go through on a daily basis and yet so nice to us when we come in. Thank you all so much! Bringing in baby #2 soon. Have a great day!
