I just lost Libby due to the idiots who bred her wrong and we got her from them.She had an awful neurological disease that was destroying her.She was beautiful and a sweet baby but this disease destroyed her.We called I cried I was upset and asked for her to just be cremated and I got her cremations and a foot print and when I saw the foot print I died I just bawled..My baby is home with me and safe thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about this business. I, unfortunately, have had 3 pets that have had to be handled by them. I work for one of the vets that work with them, and have gotten to speak to Rob on several occasions over the years. He truly has a passion for what he does and I’m sure he wouldn’t hire anyone who didn’t share those values.When my last two dogs passed, the most important thing to me was having Rob and his staff take care of them.Thank you to Rob and his staff for truly caring for and respecting our pets when you care for them in the end.

After losing my sweet cat Grayson traumatically at a very young age to heart disease, The animal soul was so accommodating and amazing throughout the entire cremation process. Their building is very calming and they have the sweetest dog named dewey who can turn you from crying to laughing within minuets. The staff is extremely friendly and will give you all of the time you need with your furry friend until you’re ready to part ways. They will also allow you to sit with sweet dewey and pet him for comfort (which he loves). I am so appreciative of everything that they did for my sweet fur Angel. They are the most affordable company in the area and I can guarantee you they handle your loved one with the best care. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Thank you so much to the entire team. Whenever it is time for any of my other sweet babies to cross the rainbow bridge I will be returning.

I cannot express enough gratitude towards Jordan and Delaware Pet Cremations (The Animal Soul). I recently lost my beloved dog of almost 13 years and endured one of the worst heartbreaks I have ever felt. Jordan answered our call on a Sunday and was very compassionate and accommodating. We have a new baby in our household and he was kind enough to our home to pick up our dog and take her to the crematory. He was very gentle and patient. Within 72 hours he even was kind enough to drop off her ashes to us personally back at our home. Although I hope to not need these services again anytime soon, but if I do, I will never chose anywhere else but The Animal Soul to take care of my previous animals and have keepsakes of their memories forever. My 13 1/2 year old furbaby passed away at home in the early morning hours. Contacted Delaware Pet Cremations and from my first contact with them they showed so much compassion. He was was a big boy and I was unable to transport him on my own. They promptly scheduled to pick him up and again showed compassion and handled him with care. They also returned his ashes to me much earlier then expected. Highly recommend them in your time of need.

Rob Mayer and his crew are true professionals. They are compassionate and truly understanding. They meet people at a terrible time in their lives. They succeed in consoling families after losing a fur pal. We have used them twice. Hopefully, we won't need to use their services for many years. But, when the time arrives, we know our dogs will be treated well.

The staff was very friendly answered any questions I had. The place is very clean and organized and they do have very nice options for you to pick out . The prices was not bad and the major thing is, they had respect for my diseased animal when they got her out of my car they were very respectful very careful respectful all around. I would recommend this place to anybody who has lost their beloved pet and would like to have them cremated. If I could give it more stars, I would.

Took such amazing care with Furball and even granted a special request that I had. Their dog named Dewey came to me and gave me all of the snuggles! What an amazing dog! I came in crying and left smiling. Make sure you tell Dewey he is a good boy when you go there.

I lost my service dog of 14 years and I was devastated. I didn't know how to go through a process for a pet dying. My sister found them and I was blown away by how much they genuinely care when we arrived. They welcomed us and apologized for our loss. I was still in shock when they gave us the private room to grieve and say our goodbyes. When I finally uncovered the sheet, I wept more than a man could ever have in his life. The grieving room allowed me to grieve in peace while creating a supportive atmosphere.I received my best friend after they cremated him and I am just wowed by the attention to detail and how they presented him. His named was engraved in an elegant box containing his remains. His paw print in cement that came with him also was well done. To open the card they provided also gave me some assurance he is in a better place. I just want to say thank you for taking care of my best friend.

My leopard gecko passed away recently and within two days I took her here to be privately cremated. The day after she passed away I called here and another place. When I called here they were open but I got the answering service because they were busy. The answering service was very nice especially since I was asking about a gecko and she wasn’t sure, she was compassionate. I received a call maybe a little over an hour later. I read a review here that said that she got the answering service and no one called her back. I don’t believe that since of my own personal experience and because she is the only one expressing anything other than a 5 start review which shows that this place is compassionate and takes pride in what they do. Thank you guys. Calling around about a gecko was a bit difficult because it sounds so out of the ordinary.

We have Delaware Pet to care for two of our animals. Truly the most compassionate crematorium anywhere. As difficult as it is to deal with the passing of a loved one, Rob and his team not only consoled us, but treated the cremation process with the same amount of care as if it was one of their pets. My sweet girl, Sheba, developed a tumor over the holidays after eight fun, adventurous, and humorous years together. Her rapid decline, especially over a holiday week, was devastating and terrifying. Trying to plan an end of life plan while avoiding the emergency vet (both for cost and comfort of Sheba) felt so daunting...after some googling, I found Delaware Pet Cremation and instantly appreciated the thoughtful and dignified website explaining their services and hours. Rob returned my call promptly, was thoughtful and considerate, answered my questions, and let me know all my options. It was a great comfort to know that if she passed before I expected, I could bring her directly to them.On my girl’s last day, I transported her from my vet and was greeted with care and dignity. In those moments, that is all you want. I felt clear about what I was being charged and my options. When I went to pick up her ashes, Kathy presented me with a beautiful and thoughtful bag which contained her urn. I am forever grateful that I was able to afford a private cremation for Sheba, and that her end of life plan was carried out with such consideration and dignity. Thank you.

The staff here clearly care about your wishes, your grief, and treating your animal with respect. The people here gave me a lot of peace of mind when it came to caring for my cat. There were a few days between her death and her cremation that I was struggling, but when I finally saw her again (we had a private cremation) I was given a sense of peace because I could tell that she had been respected. I could not have wished for something more loving and peaceful, and this company helped me immensely. They are animal lovers, and they were compassionate and empathetic and gave me a lot of options with the situation.

We took our beloved 17 year old Yorkshire to Delaware Pet Cremations due to their outstanding reviews.I called and spoke to various staff over the weeks as his health declined and we prepared for the inevitable. All of them were attentive and understanding. Both before and during the COVID outbreak.They understood his importance in our family and they treated him with dignity and respect. My sweet baby boy Ashura was only 6 months when he passed. The Animal Soul picked him up from the hospital I had taken him to and cremated him very quickly, which I really appreciated. upon receiving his ashes from the hospital, I really felt the love, care and effort that this company put into caring for my baby after his death. They gave me a card, assuring that they made sure to take extra special care of him and send their condolences. They placed his ashes in a little linen drawstring bag and placed it in a beautiful wooden box with his name engraved in a gold band with a gold latch. They also gave me a clay disk with an imprint of his paw and his name, with a heart shaped bead. I couldn’t be more appreciative of how much they put so much love and effort into caring for your pets after death the way we put love and effort into caring for our pets while they’re with us. We lost our best girl suddenly over the New Year holiday last week. Our hearts were broken and we were deep in grief. Cathy and all the great people at DPC took such wonderful care of our baby and gave us a great deal of comfort with our phone conversations right to the heartfelt card that was included with our paw print shadow box and her ashes. I have lost 3 senior cats in the last 4 years. My veterinarian uses Delaware Pet and all 3 cats were handled by them. I have never had a problem with my requests nor with the cremains when they were timely returned to me. A beautiful card is enclosed with a handwritten note from Rob which included my pet's name. I am originally from NJ and there was an uncovering of the horrific practices by a local pet crematorium and cemetery and unfortunately my parent's dog had been handled by them. Of course our local vet stopped using them immediately. I am so pleased to have found a wonderful vet here in DE and relieved to find they use Delaware Pet for their services at this sad time.

We are very satisfied and impressed with DPC's care for our deceased dog, Riley. We didn't know what to expect, but after picking up her remains from our vet, we were really impressed by the personalized presentation and obvious care put into her cremation. First thing I have to say is this was the hardest thing I had to do by letting my best friend of 11 years go. All of the sudden I lose my job and literally days later I had to put my cat Ole Man Bubbers down. I know a lot of people have many different ways of coping and my way was to have the fangs of my cat as I am a jewelry maker and wanted something I made myself to have forever.The vet I was affiliated with said it was impossible to extract the teeth and would have been a fortune. I know its a strange request but like I said everyone has their own way of coping. I expressed to the owner Rob how it would mean the world to me to have his fangs, and he didn't make me feel like a misfit or looked down upon me.He couldn't promise me at first if it could be done but he came through not only saving his top k-9 fangs but his bottom fangs as well. He was extremely curtious and delivered my cats ashes with the upmost respect. I am so greatful for his services and would highly recommend his company. Unfortunately, this is my fourth animal companion I've sent to be taken care of by The Animal Soul. It is not an easy process, but they make it that much easier. The care they show is heart warming, and I was in tears (of joy) when I received my beloved cat's cremains back with a clay paw imprint included. Delaware Pet Cremations did a nice job. The wooden box with his name, the internal bag with the metal ID was beautifully presented and put my mind at ease knowing and believing that it is in fact him.Even the paper bag was thoughtfully put together and had a holistic, calming smell, again, putting my heart at ease that he was treated with compassion and respect to the end.

If I could give Delaware Pet Cremations more than 5 stars I would. Rob, and Kathy perform a service for their customers, in perhaps one of the darkest moments of a customers life. DPC does this with grace, with poise, with compassion, with kindness and with honor. Our personal friend who is/was our dogs Veterinarian came to our home and administered the drugs. Our vet also took our dog with him since he had refrigerated storage (this is the first time in over 40+ years and 5 dogs, that someone other than me did not stay with my dog, until the last shovel of dirt was placed on a grave - For those that understand what happens as a military escort officer - you know what I mean). Simply stated I wanted no one else but me to handle the 'remains' other than me, until the final resting place. Our Vet personally made arrangements for our beloved pet to be cremated at a facility nearly 3 hours away, (whom he does business with and we would take him ourselves vs a pick up) however with an impending snow storm, we elected DPC, due to the close proximity, and did so WITHOUT looking at the reviews. I left a VM on the DPC line and Rob returned my call, within 15 minutes. He went COMPLETELY out of his way to accommodate us for a private cremation the next day. We arrived at DPC on Thursday at noon. Met Rob and Cathy and their dog, for the first time and never once did my wife and/or I feel like we were being sold something that we did not want - and in this time of need that in of itself is admirable , as it would be very easy for a "predator" to take advantage of anyone in this moment of grief. Rob and a member of his staff (apologies for forgetting his name), took our animal into the private room,, placed him on a blanket and allowed my wife and I to grieve one past time, before the process started. I personally watched Rob take GREAT CARE in treating our beloved friend with the respect & dignity he deserved and that we gave him for the last 14+ years he shared our home. We took our cremains home today - the same day he was cremated. This is the first pet we have ever had cremated and """IF""" the hole in my heart were ever to mend to a point where I would have another dog, I would not hesitate for a second to give DPC a call again to handle this daunting task. A friend of ours who recommended Rob, had the exact same results. If you are reading this review and have a need - 1) I offer my condolences to you and your family, and 2) I would not be writing this review (not something I do) if I did not feel this strongly. Thank you Rob, and Cathy for caring for our family member the way you did. As my mother would say - there WILL BE rewards for you in Heaven, for what you have done for others in one of the darkest hours of their lives.....

Lost my cat Scotty on Thursday. Took him to theanimalsoul on Friday. Got his remains on Monday. He was so gently wrapped in a beautiful treasure box along with clippings of his fur. They are very compassionate & kind people. What really put me over the edge was the fact that on his name card in the box they put Tuesdays date, he passed away that evening... even tho we came in Wed & the receipt was dated for Wed. My name is Katie I'm with FurrButts Photography. I have used DPC twice now. Both of my babes passed within 7 weeks of each other. The first time they were wonderful. When my 18 year old babe that I adopted 16 years ago needed to go, of course I would take him there. HUGE MISTAKE! I had the Vet Dr. Flannigan come to the house to help him pass and she took him with her. I had a bad feeling so I called DPC to ensure that we were getting the full service that we paid $225 for. Kathy at DPC ensured me we were. His Paw Print was NOT in the bag! I picked him up on a Friday and by the time I opened the bag they were closed. I called and left a message, the owner/ so called grief counselor, Rob calls back and tells me he will check on Monday. ON MONDAY! I had to sit and wait all weekend to now find out they NEVER did it!!! I had to call THEM, they opened at 7am and I never got a call! This can NOT be fixed, It can NOT be taken back, He is on my mantle in a box! I will never have this treasure that was so very important to me! So if you decide to use them make sure that in your moment of intense grief you MAKE SURE because otherwise the 2 simple things that they do may NOT get done properly! And you get to pay for it not only with your money but also with your heart!

It was a great comfort to know that if she passed before I expected, I could bring her directly to them.On my girl’s last day, I transported her from my vet and was greeted with care and dignity. In those moments, that is all you want. I felt clear about what I was being charged and my options. When I went to pick up her ashes, Kathy presented me with a beautiful and thoughtful bag which contained her urn. I am forever grateful that I was able to afford a private cremation for Sheba, and that her end of life plan was carried out with such consideration and dignity. Thank you.

The staff here clearly care about your wishes, your grief, and treating your animal with respect. The people here gave me a lot of peace of mind when it came to caring for my cat. There were a few days between her death and her cremation that I was struggling, but when I finally saw her again (we had a private cremation) I was given a sense of peace because I could tell that she had been respected. I could not have wished for something more loving and peaceful, and this company helped me immensely. They are animal lovers, and they were compassionate and empathetic and gave me a lot of options with the situation.

We took our beloved 17 year old Yorkshire to Delaware Pet Cremations due to their outstanding reviews.I called and spoke to various staff over the weeks as his health declined and we prepared for the inevitable. All of them were attentive and understanding. Both before and during the COVID outbreak.They understood his importance in our family and they treated him with dignity and respect. Returning him safely to us for his final resting place. All of our requests were accommodated. My sweet baby boy Ashura was only 6 months when he passed. The Animal Soul picked him up from the hospital I had taken him to and cremated him very quickly, which I really appreciated. upon receiving his ashes from the hospital, I really felt the love, care and effort that this company put into caring for my baby after his death. They gave me a card, assuring that they made sure to take extra special care of him and send their condolences. They placed his ashes in a little linen drawstring bag and placed it in a beautiful wooden box with his name engraved in a gold band with a gold latch. They also gave me a clay disk with an imprint of his paw and his name, with a heart shaped bead. I couldn’t be more appreciative of how much they put so much love and effort into caring for your pets after death the way we put love and effort into caring for our pets while they’re with us. We have had Delaware Pet care for two of our animals. Truly the most compassionate crematorium anywhere. As difficult as it is to deal with the passing of a loved one, Rob and his team not only consoled us, but treated the cremation process with the same amount of care as if it was one of their pets. The personal service, attention to every detail and incredible compassion is second to none. There is no other service we would ever use.

My beloved pet passed away on 9/10/21 , wanting the best for my dear friend I had him brought to animal soul for his final preparations , this was the best decision I could have ever made , from start to finish during this most difficult time,they treated me and my pet with the utmost compassion and love, everything was done so beautifully ,they left nothing out and gave me more than I ever would have expected , it seems like Thank You isn’t enough , it’s nice to know people like you exist , take care .

A sad thing when one loses a pet. My Question is, how do you know you are getting YOUR pets remains specifically that they aren't mixed with several other pets that are just there to be cremated? I've heard horror stories with humans being cremated yet alone critters. :(

We lost our best girl suddenly over the New Year holiday last week. Our hearts were broken and we were deep in grief. Cathy and all the great people at DPC took such wonderful care of our baby and gave us a great deal of comfort with our phone conversations right to the heartfelt card that was included with our paw print shadow box and her ashes. I have lost 3 senior cats in the last 4 years. My veterinarian uses Delaware Pet and all 3 cats were handled by them. I have never had a problem with my requests nor with the cremains when they were timely returned to me. A beautiful card is enclosed with a handwritten note from Rob which included my pet's name. I am originally from NJ and there was an uncovering of the horrific practices by a local pet crematorium and cemetery and unfortunately my parent's dog had been handled by them. Of course our local vet stopped using them immediately. I am so pleased to have found a wonderful vet here in DE and relieved to find they use Delaware Pet for their services at this sad time.

We are very satisfied and impressed with DPC's care for our deceased dog, Riley. We didn't know what to expect, but after picking up her remains from our vet, we were really impressed by the personalized presentation and obvious care put into her cremation. First thing I have to say is this was the hardest thing I had to do by letting my best friend of 11 years go. All of the sudden I lose my job and literally days later I had to put my cat Ole Man Bubbers down. I know a lot of people have many different ways of coping and my way was to have the fangs of my cat as I am a jewelry maker and wanted something I made myself to have forever.The vet I was affiliated with said it was impossible to extract the teeth and would have been a fortune. I know its a strange request but like I said everyone has their own way of coping. I expressed to the owner Rob how it would mean the world to me to have his fangs, and he didn't make me feel like a misfit or looked down upon me.He couldn't promise me at first if it could be done but he came through not only saving his top k-9 fangs but his bottom fangs as well. He was extremely curtious and delivered my cats ashes with the upmost respect. I am so greatful for his services and would highly recommend his company. Thank you so much for being so respectful and responsive.I am so appreciative of your work Rob. Thank you! The wooden box with his name, the internal bag with the metal ID was beautifully presented and put my mind at ease knowing and believing that it is in fact him.Even the paper bag was thoughtfully put together and had a holistic, calming smell, again, putting my heart at ease that he was treated with compassion and respect to the end.

If I could give Delaware Pet Cremations more than 5 stars I would. Rob, and Kathy perform a service for their customers, in perhaps one of the darkest moments of a customers life. DPC does this with grace, with poise, with compassion, with kindness and with honor. Our personal friend who is/was our dogs Veterinarian came to our home and administered the drugs. Our vet also took our dog with him since he had refrigerated storage (this is the first time in over 40+ years and 5 dogs, that someone other than me did not stay with my dog, until the last shovel of dirt was placed on a grave - For those that understand what happens as a military escort officer - you know what I mean). Simply stated I wanted no one else but me to handle the 'remains' other than me, until the final resting place. Our Vet personally made arrangements for our beloved pet to be cremated at a facility nearly 3 hours away, (whom he does business with and we would take him ourselves vs a pick up) however with an impending snow storm, we elected DPC, due to the close proximity, and did so WITHOUT looking at the reviews. I left a VM on the DPC line and Rob returned my call, within 15 minutes. He went COMPLETELY out of his way to accommodate us for a private cremation the next day. We arrived at DPC on Thursday at noon. Met Rob and Cathy and their dog, for the first time and never once did my wife and/or I feel like we were being sold something that we did not want - and in this time of need that in of itself is admirable , as it would be very easy for a "predator" to take advantage of anyone in this moment of grief. Rob and a member of his staff (apologies for forgetting his name), took our animal into the private room,, placed him on a blanket and allowed my wife and I to grieve one past time, before the process started. I personally watched Rob take GREAT CARE in treating our beloved friend with the respect & dignity he deserved and that we gave him for the last 14+ years he shared our home. We took our cremains home today - the same day he was cremated. This is the first pet we have ever had cremated and """IF""" the hole in my heart were ever to mend to a point where I would have another dog, I would not hesitate for a second to give DPC a call again to handle this daunting task. A friend of ours who recommended Rob, had the exact same results. If you are reading this review and have a need - 1) I offer my condolences to you and your family, and 2) I would not be writing this review (not something I do) if I did not feel this strongly. Thank you Rob, and Cathy for caring for our family member the way you did. As my mother would say - there WILL BE rewards for you in Heaven, for what you have done for others in one of the darkest hours of their lives.....

Lost my cat Scotty on Thursday. Took him to theanimalsoul on Friday. Got his remains on Monday. He was so gently wrapped in a beautiful treasure box along with clippings of his fur. They are very compassionate & kind people. What really put me over the edge was the fact that on his name card in the box they put Tuesdays date, he passed away that evening... even tho we came in Wed & the receipt was dated for Wed. My name is Katie I'm with FurrButts Photography. I have used DPC twice now. Both of my babes passed within 7 weeks of each other. The first time they were wonderful. When my 18 year old babe that I adopted 16 years ago needed to go, of course I would take him there. HUGE MISTAKE! I had the Vet Dr. Flannigan come to the house to help him pass and she took him with her. I had a bad feeling so I called DPC to ensure that we were getting the full service that we paid $225 for. Kathy at DPC ensured me we were. His Paw Print was NOT in the bag! I picked him up on a Friday and by the time I opened the bag they were closed. I called and left a message, the owner/ so called grief counselor, Rob calls back and tells me he will check on Monday. ON MONDAY! I had to sit and wait all weekend to now find out they NEVER did it!!! I had to call THEM, they opened at 7am and I never got a call! This can NOT be fixed, It can NOT be taken back, He is on my mantle in a box! I will never have this treasure that was so very important to me! So if you decide to use them make sure that in your moment of intense grief you MAKE SURE because otherwise the 2 simple things that they do may NOT get done properly! And you get to pay for it not only with your money but also with your heart!
