This place is utterly amazing. Jill was so lovely and compassionate. She made this process so easy and seamless for me. She had so much patience and care for me as I was falling apart at the seams more than once. I can't thank you and your whole staff, your sweet little girl, and your little dog. I thank you all whole heartedly for the beautiful paw and nose prints. Even though my baby is gone, I can still boop her little nose print. I can honor her every day in the way that she deserves and that is thanks to Pet Passages and Jill.

Absolutely fantastic. Not only did they do a great job with my beloved late wiener dog Stella, I accidentally dropped my mom's hearing aid in the parking lot, they found it and contacted the manufacturer to trace it back to me, and then called me so i could pick it up. Saved me $1800 by not having to buy new ones, and rekindled my faith in humanity.

Where do I begin… from the moment I called after hours yesterday… my family and I were treated with nothing but compassion and respect. We lost our Taina; our French poodle. Our first pet ever and had no idea what to do or where to begin. The rep from the answering service was very compassionate and Jill was kind and informed us of all of our options. She even told us what to do while we had her body home. Jill was so patient and kind. The next day we came in (today) and she allowed us to lay Taina down in a beautiful room and say our goodbyes. She made such a difficult moment much more manageable; allowing us to begin our grieving process. We absolutely recommend them. No pressure… no sales pitch… very professional and yet personable. Great experience during a difficult time. We love you Taina 🥰 and will forever miss you.

Words cannot express how amazing the staff was during this delicate time.Our furry canine daughter passed away after a long battle with cancer and we are pretty devastated about her passing. A recommendation from Dr Dale Krier (the veterinarian who did at home euthanasia) recommended us to this lovely pet crematorium and am so happy she did.Going beyond what we ever expected, Greg showed empathy and we felt reassured in our hearts our baby girl was treated with the dignity she deserved.The mementos they presented with a lovely personalized urn box was perfect and they even offer “no pressure” products to honor your beloved companion even further.Thank you all so very much and thank you to Greg for going above and beyond for our Cookie.

I lost my beloved cat on 12/01/23 and I could not have asked for a better place to care for her. No selling pressure, no rushing me when I needed more time with her, they were just so patient. When the day came that we brought her home, I was speechless with how beautiful and precious everything they gave me was (Had Pretty Kitty Package). Diamond was our first bunny. Pet passages has a warm and welcoming environment that reassured us that our little fluff was in trusted hands. There are so many little touches that this facility offers that made Diamonds memorial as memorable as his life. Highly recommend them to any grieving pet parent.Update: Diamonds brother, Dutch passed away peacefully at home. I knew that there was only one place I trusted to memorialize our beloved fluff. Once again they were extremely welcoming, compassionate and walked us through the process of cremation. Amazing people! Thank you all so much once again!

The experience I had with my cat Mishu Zayas was absolutely beautiful. My expectations were beyond met. The compassion and the extent they went for her is amazing. Pet Passages did an absolutely beautiful job with our sweet Grizzly. The amount of care and kindness they provided us with is incredible. We did the hair clipping and clay paw print. I can't say enough good things about Pet Passages. Our dog became ill and deteriorated within the week. Jill was not only patient, knowledgeable, and gentle on the phone- but she was able to accommodate us so that we could get Hope home as soon as possible. She guided us through every step of the process and made what we thought would be the most miserable day of our lives into one that brought us comfort.

First, I'm so sorry you are reading this review. What brought you here is truly tragic, and I am so so sorry for your loss. Let me assure you, Pet Passages is where you want to bring your beloved family member. Jill is an absolute angel. From my very first conversation with her, she made me feel like a long-time friend. She was transparent about the process, providing as many or as few details as I wanted. All of my questions were answered with compassion and dignity, and she was incredibly easy to reach and accommodating. The entire process was treated with the utmost respect and care, and we were allowed to be as involved as we were comfortable with. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about Pet Passages, and about Jill in particular. I never felt rushed, or uncertain, or uncomfortable. In such a tumultuous and heart-wrenching time, Jill was an absolute blessing to my family. Thank you, Jill and Pet Passages, for being there for us, and for being exactly what I needed.

It’s a weird time to lose a loved one. Ive never lost a dog before so I myself was lost. When I called pet passages they were very understanding. There was a confusion when I showed up and apparently its supposed to be by appointment only. I had spoken to someone earlier but it was not clarified. Nobody was expecting me and the receptionist was a bit confused but she did not turn me away. She was beyond kind and had us meet her out back, which I am sure is not typical but with todays climate it was totally understandable. My mother and I had our moment, we cried hysterically and at no point did the receptionist rush us. Thank you for letting us say our goodbyes in peace, thank you for taking care of my dog so well. I will forever be grateful. The standard box we received was a lot nicer than I expected it to be. They extras like the paw print, note and pamphlet are nice additions. We ended up ordering the clay paw print and it is really nice. I think the pricing was reasonable considering how much my vet was charging and some other local areas. I would recommend this location to anyone considering pet cremation. Thank you for your time and patience.Gina

Unfortunately, I have lost 4 wonderful dogs over the past few years. Pet Passages was such a vastly improved experience vs similar businesses. They are so sweet and compassionate and professional. The building is new, quiet and beautiful inside...like being in someone’s living room. Such a change from cheesy industrial businesses I’ve used in the past. It’s an awful, devastating time when you lose a piece of your heart in the loss of a little furry friend...but I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else ever again. They were simply wonderful. There is no need to go anywhere else. Superb. Thank you.

They provide such a needed service, in a beautiful way. I bought my Hally (cat) there in October and just brought my Luna (dog) there today. I've told many friends about them. They make this part so much easier so we can focus on our grief. I highly recommend them. Thank you.

As a pet owner, your pet is not only a member of your family but a piece of your heart. When I lost my dog, Beta, it was sudden and unexpected. Pet Passages not only helped me to care for her final disposition but also went above and beyond with their services. They gave me advice and recommendations for a trusted vet to perform her home euthanasia and gave my brother and I additional time to spend with Beta at their facility. They have a beautiful area that feels safe and comforting to say your last goodbyes, with a soft bed to lay your cherished pet down on. When it came time to take Beta’s remains back into our care, they had made a beautiful clay pawprint for Beta that my family will always cherish and go to during tough moments for comfort. To Jill and Lissa, you gave me a sense of peace in a difficult time and I am eternally grateful. Any pet is safe in your hands, and I will recommend you time and time again. Thank you.

I found Pet Passages when I came home to discover my cat had passed while I was gone. Clearly an emotional time. And happening during the times of Social Distancing and Covid19, could have made it so much more difficult. But we were treated with compassion and kindness and dignity throughout and I have no doubt that my girl was treated well by their staff. Jill was so kind during all our interactions.

We couldn’t be more pleased with Pet Passages in Southbury.Having to visit them comes at a very emotional time and they showed us the same level of compassion for our loss as our close friends and family. Jill and Mark were very accommodating, meeting us there after hours on one occasion and on the weekend another occasion. Jill’s dogs, Ruger and Summit, helped ease our pain when they greated us at the door, sat next to us while we said our final goodbye’s and even escorted our loves ones away when the time came, as if they where pallbearer’s.We’re very grateful to them all for making a very sad time significantly less painful.

We put our 16 year old cat down and brought her to pet passages this morning to be cremated. We were welcomed warmly by Jill and Cora and that made our day!Our sorrow was palpable but Jill and Cora made us smile and feel so comfortable. These guys, especially Jill made the passing of my English mastiff much easier. They came to the house and sat with us and went over our options, he was so large we couldn't move him so they took care of him and made us feel at ease. They even give you paw prints and grieving packets for you and your other pets. They were so incredibly sweet.

Our French Bulldog recently passed away after a battle with cancer. I called multiple pet cremation services in Connecticut and by far Pet Passages was the most professional and kind. Their office is beautiful and welcoming. Their kindness is amazing and their staff is incredible. Our sweet pup was ready to be returned to us the very next day. I can not recommend Pet Passages enough.

I came in this morning to pick up Louie (one of my beloved pups) after he passed on at home. I was here only briefly but the young lady who helped me was very nice and explained the process of private cremation (which we had elected). It's laid out and decorated very nicely and tastefully, actually nicer then some funeral homes I have been in to be honest. If you are unfortunate enough to need their services, and if you own a pet, you will be someday, I certainly would recommend them. They included a paw stamp and certificates of cremation, which I appreciated very much.

I cannot speak highly enough about Chris and his team at Pet Passages. It was clear that they were trying to make the experience as comforting and peaceful as possible and totally professional too. Chris’ experiences with, and love of animals came through very clearly. They made a very difficult time much more bearable - I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else in the future.

Mark and Jill are great very kind and compassionate they are always there for us when we need them I can’t say enough about this place I highly recommend it I tell a lot of people about this place. We have a lot of rescued cats and have been there a lot we have lost 6 cats in the last 10 months we have had 8 cats and 2 bunnies done there they are wonderful!!!
