My experience with Magner Funeral Home was by far one of the most comfortable and welcoming experiences. My first time planing a funeral service for my mother couldn’t be any easier and comfortable with the whole staff. Being overwhelmed and no idea where to start with planning Magner’s took control and guided my family and I in the right direction. The service was amazing. The facility was beautiful. So for anyone looking for funeral services planning, I highly recommend Magner funeral home.Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

When my father passed this summer, we chose Magner Funeral Home because my mother had heard good things about them. We are so glad we did. Melissa was so nice and helpful. Every request and question was handled quickly, easily, and with sympathy. We definitely recommend Magner.

Magner Funeral Home was the right place for our services for my wife. They listened attentively to our wishes then set about making everything happen in accordance with those wishes taking as much off of our shoulders as they possibly could have. When one loses a dear family member, he/she is stressed to the max. When my mom passed away, I too was overly stressed. Using Magner Funeral home was the best decision I made. They were all very caring. Melissa was fantastic. She was always available to answer questions and to help with "stuff" I did not know. She walked me through the entire process. Everything turned out great. One of the Magner's and another Associate who took my mom to the church were also great. They made sure everything went well at the church and at the burial site. I am sure my mom was happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Magner Funeral home. Starting with our first phone call, everyone we worked with was warm, caring and compassionate which continued throughout the whole process.My family chose to go with an open casket for the wake and I was ultimately so happy with the decision. The Manger team did a beautiful job of getting Mom ready - my mom looked just like my mom.After the wake and funeral, the folks at Magner have continued demonstrating their warmth and care. They recently forwarded some sympathy cards which arrived after my mom's service - so thoughtful.I would whole-heartedly and without any reservations recommend Magner Funeral Home.

Our family has trusted Magner Funeral Home through three generations. The service has always been professional, courteous, and caring. Recently, Magner managed my brother's open casket viewing, his funeral, and the graveside service, all in a very dignified manner. They honored who he was. I needed to buy an urn for my dad's ashes at 6:30 pm on a Sunday right before I boarded a flight to his memorial service the next day. I got a call back right away and the owner left his home, met me at the funeral home 15 minutes later, helped me choose the right container, transferred the ashes, and put everything neatly in a box. I cannot thank him enough for going out of his way to help me. Customer service and human kindness above and beyond. Thank you!

Magner Funeral Home are so professional but also intensely caring in a personal way -taking the time to help ease your loss at such a difficult time.My aunt and uncle both pre-arranged their funerals because they trusted in Magner Funeral Home Director, Jay Magner to care for their final wishes. He did so beautifully and was exceptional in handling all the details.Both Jay and the entire staff are wonderful in helping to alleviate any anxiety and stress and provide the best service possible.They are by far the best in the services that they provide and in the caring that they have for their clients - and for that my family thanks you so very much.

My wife died at Regional Hospice after a 10 day stay, 4 months after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. At her request there was no funeral or burial. Rather she was cremated & her ashes returned to me. The people at Magner were totally understanding, sympathetic & acceded to my requests. They picked her body up in Danbury, had her cremated & returned her ashes along with death certificates & other necessary paperwork to me in a timely manner. This was a seamless process at a difficult time for me. The several people I dealt with were so very nice & compassionate. I highly recommend Magner when ever funeral arrangements are needed.

The people at Magner Funeral home couldn't have been more respectful of my mother and our family. From the two people who came to my home to each person who was with us during the process, I couldn't ask for a more dignified treatment of my beloved mother. Sal, who handled most of the arrangements, was extremely polite and professional. He managed to capture my mother's beauty, elegance and style. He showed genuine yet humble pride when I commented on this fact. He made me feel really good about choosing Magner and I thank him and the staff for helping bring Mom to the dignified end she deserved.

When my husband died suddenly, my world was turned upside down. There were so many details to deal with all while I was reeling emotionally. That's where the Magners stepped in. Mike, Marybeth, Jay and the entire team treated me and my family as if we were theirs. Mike walked us through all we needed to know, the decisions that needed to be made, with a kind heart, patience and a guiding hand. He even followed up months later. Magner Funeral Home went above and beyond expectations when it came time to bury my grandfather. Mike and Sal were extremely professional and willing to do whatever it took to make the experience as painless as possible. The building itself was attractive, clean and centrally located. I would recommend Magner's to anyone in the tri-state area looking for a friendly place to do business with.

I found that Magner Funeral Home provided acceptable service. The two gentleman who own the place were nice, but a little standoffish. The lady who works for them is unkept and has a horrible appearance. If I were to have met her initially, I would have walked out.I used this home for a cremation, which I struggled with the decision, knowing there is a funeral home in town that owns their own crematory. But Magner's prices were substantially less expensive. Another fact that swayed me to Magners is that the crematory they use is well respected and used by their competitor, prior to them building their own crematory.Don't get scared into 'not getting the right ashes back' as the competitor tries to do. All crematories have the same safety precautions in place to ensure you get the right ashes back.The downfall to Magners: They truly need a professional interior decorator to come in and revitalize the entire building. The wallpaper is horrible, the furniture is old and the paneling needs to go. Additionally, there are no pictures on the walls and furniture and accessories are completely mismatched.Their sign outside is something left to be desired. This place has so much potential and it seems rather sad they aren't putting money back into their building.I would recommend Magners to others for their pricing and parking however.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I wish there was a selection for zero stars. I regret selecting this funeral home and this experience has made me even more depressed during this emotional time in my life. Despite COVID not allowing for traditional services our family was expecting a final photo of our deceased loved one but instead we received the most horrifying and disgraceful final photo. I cannot believe that a funeral home that is supposed to have compassion and empathy during times of grief would send such a photo. We were told that we would have a final photo of our loved one in the casket as if it were a service but that is NOT what we received. I would never return nor would I recommend this funeral home to others. Such a heartbreaking experience for me and my family :-(
