We had never had to deal with any of this before. When we lost my father in law Ken to COVID, Mike and all the staff were there and helped make sense of the whole situation. They were very respectful and sensitive. After the first meeting we knew right away that we had picked the right place and the right people to take care of Ken. We are very grateful for Grand Valley Funeral Home and would recommend them to anyone.

My brother in-law was unexpectedly taken from several months ago. The staff at Grand Valley Funeral Home treated us as if we were their family.Our wish was to lay his body to rest in his country. This consisted of gathering many documents. Bryce, the owner went above and beyond our expectations. He drove to Denver after many attempts to get the Mexican Consultant to return his calls.The service provided to our family was VALUE, not quantity. I am thankful for their wonderful staff. Outstanding service.

My father in law passed away unexpectedly and they did an amazing job helping us deal with the things people don't think about. I highly recommend them to any one in the area. I drove my family from out of state and they did an amazing job helping us and treated us like family. Sherry Broussard was a tremendous help to us when we arrived and had no idea what to do or what the next step was. Thank you for all your support and help during our difficult time.

The people I dealt with after my brother passed unexpectedly were so kind and compassionate. It was a very emotional situation but they were so helpful and understanding. Thank you especially to Karlene. So glad this is the funeral home that took care of my brother.

My family used this funeral home twice with in a 2 month time frame. Losing a loved one is never easy.The staff listened to what it was we want for a service and did a great job accomplishing our wishes for the services we had . They were very compassionate and caring.

They are amazing! They went above and beyond to help us through a very tough time. They were great at dealing with all sides of the family and guiding us through the financial process. We would've been lost without them. They were well below all the other prices in town and the service itself was beyond what we could have ever imagined. Highly recommend them!

My Dad died on Christmas Eve and we were looking for affordable options for a cremation. Don was very compassionate and kind and we chose Grand Valley for that and also for their cost as well.

Let me tell you just how much hate the human heart can hold/store! My dearest sister passed away May 1, 2019 and almost immediately a competition ensued; mainly initiated by an individual that wasn't even related to my sister; no relative in any sense. The Mesa County Coroner called and told me that my sister's eldest daughter decided to claim her "legal" standing as a living child and would be taking over all arrangements for my sister's funeral services. Oh, and he also informed me that if I had any questions to call, or better yet, "Hire an attorney." I had no problem with any of it as long as my sister was treated with respect and dignity. I was going to drive 7 hours one-way to attend her funeral, pay my respects and say good-bye. Then, I was BANNED from attending her funeral, by the Coroner and my Niece, Tracy Parsikhian. This morning, May 7, 2019, Grand Valley FuneralHomes had the unmitigated gall to call me!! Evidently they are in the business of cruelty and perpetuating peoples' grief, even after I was TOLD by the Coroner to take a hike!!!

We had a 100% positive experience here and truly appreciate everything TJ did to help us through a difficult time. TJ, a young man who is an owner of this business with his parents, was always kind, caring, honest, respectful & professional when interacting with us.After the unexpected death of my boyfriend's dad we made several calls to various funeral homes. Grand Valley had the best pricing for a basic cremation. (Other places quoted us prices that were more than double.)I’ll admit that when we saw a few negative online reviews we became worried & unsure. However, when we met TJ in person for the first time we got a good vibe right away. Before signing anything, we asked him about the reviews. He was straight-forward with us in addressing our concerns. We felt reassured and confident about moving forward so we signed the paperwork.It’s worth noting that TJ gave me his cell phone number in case I had a question after business hours. He said that the answering service would be able to get my message to him & he would call me back, but he wanted to save me that extra step and make sure that I could reach him directly, if needed.This was above & beyond my expectations and I didn’t foresee taking him up on his offer. But then a nagging thought woke me up in the middle of the night — that we really ought to have an autopsy done because the death was a direct result of doctor negligence. I waited until 7AM and called TJ, planning to leave a message because it was so early. To my surprise he answered. Since TJ had already picked up the body the day before he could have easily been annoyed by my concerns. Instead, TJ was a good listener, understanding and resourceful - giving helpful info and the names & numbers of people who could help me. (In the end I learned that when an elderly person dies due to the doctor’s negligence, there’s really no legal recourse since their life has low/no monetary value due to the fact they aren’t in the workforce.) :( Regardless of this sad truth, TJ was extremely helpful at 7AM when I was very stressed-out.The basic cremation urn comes with a lovely cover made from a velvety dark blue (almost black) fabric. It looks elegant & honorable.The fact his mom personally hand-sews it makes the cover even more special.After we had paid in-full, we found out my bf's dad qualified for a benefit that covered the majority of the cost of the cremation. TJ gave us a check to reimburse us for the amount covered in a timely fashion.After such a positive experience every step of the way, I'm suspicious of the handful of negative reviews. I don’t think that each negative review is connected to a separate negative experience with Grand Valley. To me it seems like one family was not happy with the service they received for some reason and then several family members decided to post negative reviews about that one experience.I can tell you that we deeply appreciate finding a place that offers an affordable cremation and that we found this family-owned business to be completely trustworthy, helpful and caring.

I would like to thank Grand Valley Funeral home for all the their hard work and professionalism. I have to say losing a loved one is the most difficult thing anyone could go through. They went above and beyond in helping us through this difficlt time.They listen to what we want for our loved one and helped us accomplish it . A BIG THANK U TO BRYCE !!! For going to denver and speeding up the process at the mexican consulate. So that we could take our loved on home. Thank you all very much for all your hard work and making this process easier for us .

For a funeral home, NOT impressed. Had to ask for a basket for cards. Had to suggest they put out a trash can to dispose of plates and glasses or water bottles.

NO STARS! After Taking my review down to avoid Legal action threats, I still feel very strongly about how terrible and unprofessional this company operates. I would NEVER recommend this company to Anyone who is in the Grievance process from a lost one. ITS JUST A BUISSNESS TO THEM , NO Empathy or Sympathy.
