We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved pup to sleep, and Heartstrings made this incredibly difficult time much easier to bear. They were able to accommodate us with a same-day appointment, which we are so grateful for, and their pricing was fair without the overwhelming extra fees we’ve seen at other places. The staff was compassionate, patient, and understanding of our emotions. They treated my baby with such dignity and care, and we are so thankful for the paw print they made as a keepsake—it means the world to us. Thank you, Hear Strings, for your kindness and support during such a painful time.

DR Katie was as compassionate, empathic, and sweet as can be. Our sweet pooch collapsed in pain yesterday and she was there within an hour. She helped with with pain management to get my sweet baby into the car to get her up to and MRI. Unfortunately she had cancer in her spinal cord and we had to put her down at CASE in Boulder today. She is in dog heaven. I own a business that has nearly 200 5 star reviews on Google and I was aLittle hesitant with the lack of reviews, but that’s only because they opened up 6 weeks ago. My family and I can’t thank you enough. Shawn was also very helpful, compassionate, and communicative when we needed them in a hurry. Thank you to everyone on your team.

No pet parent ever wants to have to be searching for in home pet euthanasia services, however from the very first phone call I felt at ease after my conversation with Shawn. He was able to answer all of my questions through my tears. I was also able to schedule a same day appointment. Dr. Lattimer showed such an amazing amount of compassion when she arrived at my house. She thoroughly explained what was going to happen, and what to expect. Despite being the last appointment of the night, we never felt rushed, and were given plenty of time to say a final goodbye. My Oreo was able to pass in her favorite place in our house, in her own bed surrounded by her loved ones, which meant the world to us. Words cannot express my gratitude that this service is offered by such caring, compassionate professionals. If anyone out there are searching for a service like this by browsing companies on the web, rest assured that I was doing the same, and couldn't have felt more at ease with my decision once I called Heartstrings. On one of the worst days of my life as a pet parent they truly came through for me, my family, and my sweet Oreo.

At such an incredibly difficult time, it was really refreshing to have such patience and thoughtfulness throughout the care. I started with a virtual evaluation visit which was extremely helpful to analyze the current quality of life and explore a pathway forward. At the point we decided it was time for sweet Matilda to cross, we were met with urgency, kindness, and gentleness as we said a very difficult goodbye.Today, I picked up the cremains of my sweet Matilda and I was given condolences with a extra attention given to the handling and packaging of her ashes. My heart is broken, but couldn't be more satisfied with the experience I received. Highly recommend. Thank you for giving me peace of mind and dignity that my Matilda deserved. 💗

I can’t recommend Heart strings enough. I really have told everyone I can about this service. They made sure that my cat died peacefully, and Dr. Katie took time to visit with us and make sure that our boy was comfortable with her presence first before anything happened. I don’t think he could even tell what has coming. Afterwords, Dr. Katie hung around a bit and helped us process everything and also made sure we had some keepsakes from our kitty. She was so patient and gave so much of her time to talk with us.I’m an ICU nurse, and I can honestly say my cat died more comfortably and with more dignity than most people do. And the aftercare provided for us was so appreciated. That’s all I could really ask for.

I am forever grateful to All the employees and Dr Katie! It’s never easy to say goodbye, but being at home where our sweet Gypsy felt the safest and most comfortable, made the transition for her and our family more peaceful! From the moment Dr. Lattimer arrived, it was clear that she understood the emotional weight of the situation. She did not rush the process, taking the time to explain each step and ensuring that I felt as comfortable as possible under the circumstances.Her care and attention to detail made the home euthanasia experience as easy as it could be. She was patient and gentle with my cat, treating her with the utmost respect and dignity. I would highly recommend Dr. Katie and her team. A few months ago, she came out to the house to help me come up with a plan to ensure my senior dog, Jericho's remaining time with us was as good as possible. She was very kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. She listened to all of my thoughts and concerns and helped me work through them. She treated my sweet boy with respect and love. Fast forward to last week, my grandma's cat's time came somewhat unexpectedly. And this week Jericho was ready to say goodbye. Dr. Katie came out and helped both of our babies cross the rainbow bridge. Her level of love, empathy and compassion for our babies and for us helped make their transition as peaceful and full of love as possible. She guided us through the process step by step and cried with us as we said goodbye. I will forever be grateful for the service provided by Dr. Katie. We wouldn't have made it through this without her, Devin and Shawn.Thank you guys for doing what you do.

Dr Katie was simply amazing. My elder cat Bailey had decided it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge without much warning. His death has definitely left a big whole in the household. However. Dr Katie was completely professional, sweet and kind. I still have 3 cats, and when their time comes, I'll be relying on these guys. They were simply amazing in my time of need.

When it became apparent that our family dog was really struggling and we needed help to give her a peaceful passing, Heartstrings sent us Dr. Katie Knepler within hours of our desperate phone call. The scheduling staff was kind and thorough and provided us with information and remained accessible throughout the day. Dr. Knepler provided us with comfort and care that we never would have imagined possible. She was able to hold us compassionately and warmly as we said goodbye to our family member. Her presence and skill allowed us to spend the last moments with our dog and give her the peaceful passing she deserved after all she had given us. Heartstrings was very caring and compassionate at our time of need. Our 17 year old dachshund Sully was in his last days (luckily he lasted 10 months while only given 6 months to live) we were forced to put our dog down and had to do it immediately. Heartstrings was able to show up just a few hours after we called them. It was a painful decision but they made it safe and easy. They were nice and made it easy. Thanks so much.

It was an amazingly peaceful experience we appreciated Dr Lattimer’s patience and kindness through the process - but most importantly Buddy was never in pain and was able to stay comfortable in his home until his last moments. Buddy got very anxious in car rides and we are so grateful he didn't have to experience that anxiety on his last day. Saying goodbye is always difficult but thank you for providing this opportunity to make it a little less stressful for our whole family

We were heartbroken for our pet to suffer in her last days. Dr. Katie Knepler with Heartstrings came to our house and with great dignity helped our family dog pass over the doggie rainbow bridge into a life without any more suffering. We've had many pets cross the rainbow bridge at our vet's office over the years. While our vet is amazing and compassionate --- we knew that for our most recent elderly pup, we wanted to do it at home. Our pup always hated the vet office, and we didn't want her last moments to be ones of fear in a place she hated. I was super skeptical of seeking outside help from our normal vet, as I'm extremely picky with our veterinary care ~team after having the luxury of a family friend for a vet before we moved out of state. From the moment I called Heartstrings, I knew I was talking to the right people. Their love and empathy for this extremely tender moment in a pet's life was immediately apparent. The vet who came to our house was professional, caring and treated our fur-baby as if she were his own. The vet explained what was going to happen, what to expect and that everything he did was at our speed. If we needed extra time between placing the catheter and the actual procedure, we could take it. We didn't feel rushed with our final moments. Even after she crossed the bridge, the vet continued to be of service to my family and did not rush out of our home. Once we were ready, the vet took care of taking her out of home for cremation. In the days to come, Heartstrings was communicative of where our girl was in the process, and when we would be receiving her ashes. They provided us with plenty of options for her remains --- ~there was certainly something for everyone's taste and how they wanted to memorialize their fur baby.I believe it takes a special sort of human being to come into this area of veterinary medicine. Unlike a "normal vet", they don't get the joyous moments of a family bringing in their new puppy or rescue and of nurturing an animal back to health. They don't get to build long-term relationships with their patients that give them a sense of community. These vets who work at Heartstrings are in a different league. They have dedicated their career to helping families make incredibly difficult decisions about their pet's life, help these beloved animals cross the rainbow bridge & then support the family left behind in their grief. It's clear that no matter the tough work that they do, they know what impact they have on these animals and families is important and they take that role seriously. I could not recommend Heartstrings enough.

My elderly German Shepherd became very sick and was in critical condition. Heartstrings sent the vet ASAP. Dr. Katie cried with me and helped me with everything. I am grateful.

Pricing is predatory. Absolutely higher than most of the market.Edit: As you can see from the response. They will gaslight you to try and try to deflect by claiming their CRM has no record when their pricing is clearly listed on the site. Attached screenshots of the pricing.Edit 2: unfortunately just not true. But to others reading this review please see how they deal with customers in their response. I have 165 reviews 121 are 5 star. 14 are 3. The remaining are 1 star. Thats just analytics though….. kind of weird for a business to try and attack someone like that. My review is based on facts. See the images. Read the response and make a good decision. Imagine how “empathetic” they will be with you and your animal after looking at this response….
