I filled the online form before coming, my second fur baby passed away after my first that I had also brought here for cremation a few years back... We got to see her in a calming grieving room one last time to say our goodbye. The staff was understanding and patient.

the woman on the phone was very nice and we got what we paid for and only 5 days after, but when we showed up in person with our pet Carlos was extremely rude and unprofessional. he tried upselling us on expensive packages and rushed us through the process of paperwork and seemed like he really didnt want to be there. take a psychology course maybe. or more people training

Guardian Animal Aftercare staff are the best! They were sensitive and caring right from the start to the very end. They never rushed me. Beautiful flowers were placed around my beloved pup during our private viewing. After the cremation they handed me a blue velvet bag with a nice cedar wooden box inside with my baby's ashes. Everything they do is so carefully thought to alleviate one's grieving process. They went above and beyond to accommodate my requests.Highly recommended!

We drove 40 minutes from Oxnard. We arrived at the place at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, the place was closed the office doors were locked. They close at 4PM Saturday so I arrived on time. We called the office, no answer, called again no answer. No one picks up the phone. The back was open, with cars behind it and gates were open. We beep horn again again no one awnsered. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! I DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!! Outside the business they are homeless encampments and area is dirty. The place is filthy!!

This place is great and I can confidently recommend them to anyone. When my dog died I was broken I had him for 18 years and while his death wasn’t unexpected it hurt like nothing I’ve ever experienced. He was like my son and best friend I had him since I was 4 years old. These people here sympathized with me and worked with me and my siblings every step of the way. They provided a room for us to mourn and have like a last minute viewing and gave us all the time we needed to process the situation and give our last good byes. I’ll never forget their kindness. They were also transparent and let us know what the process would be like and what options we had. the prices were also fair and they were very timely. If your pet unfortunately passes this place is the place to go they will do whatever they can to make a hard time as bare able as possible and that means a lot.

I want to recommend and show how thankful I am for Guardian Animal Aftercare. As I look back on today when I lost my Luna after almost a decade together, Guardian gave me the peace and love I needed at such a difficult time and I am so grateful for them. I failed to research and plan what her loss would look like because it was was too painful. A day before she passed is when I knew it was time to find our aftercare steps. I knew I wanted to find a place that was caring, offered options to cremate and treat the process with respect. A place that treats animal loss with care. I can say Guardian shined above all. They had the option to fill out a form online during after hours that gave me peace to start the difficult process of saying goodbye. The next day when I called they received my form and explained how it was going to go. I was able to bring my Luna to them and they comforted me when l said goodbye to her. They explained how long it was going to take for the services and treated me kindly. They have someone specialized to do a print of her paw and it turned out so special and I’m thankful they gave me the option and I decided to do it. Picking her up was very difficult and I was greeted by an employee who wanted to hear about my love for Luna. She came home in the most beautiful engraved wooden box with the most beautiful message inside. Their website offers a place called the Gallery of Love to write a tribute with photo to memorialize, this was very helpful in my grief. They also give good resources to help with the grief. I am so thankful for Guardian Animal Aftercare, the employees, the services and everything they do. I highly recommend them to anyone coming to this difficult stage, I am sorry for your loss, know that if you are reading their reviews you have found the right place. Thank you Guardian for treating such a difficult time with the most love.

I would never imagine that anything having to do with my dogs' death would be a positive experience. Yet, here I am.I did not choose ashes, but wanted the paw print and lock of hair from our furry boy.There was some confusion re delivery and UPS but Carlos (an exemplary employee) jumped right in and made sure that things went smoothly.He was calming, informative, and most of all, CARING. I had just lost a beloved animal and was anxious and sad, especially because UPS didn't deliver when they notified me they would.After several phone calls, Carlos turned it around and I had my cherished boys' remains back!During grief, we are sometimes not on our best behaviour.Carlos was compassionate and really "knew the ropes." What a blessing that was! He definitely went above and beyond.He and Shannon are an asset to that company.Ironically, a company that caters to pet owners' lowest and saddest moments still manages to be warm, compassionate and caring.I would recommend this company to anyone who is in need of this type of services.

I am very grateful for the services Guardian Animal Aftercare provided during this difficult time.I would go to a different place for many years (I prefer not to mention the name) but knew needed to find a new place.Our family dog of 16 years passed away and I was a bit nervous of how the experience would be but Carlos was beyond helpful and understanding. He explained everything and was very professional, knowledgeable and treated our pet with so much respect. I am beyond pleased with my first experience here and I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. I was able to spend some time with our beloved pet in a private room, he was placed in there with flowers beside him.That was a beautiful touch and I was grateful for that moment.I am majorly involved in the rescue world and have many pets of my own. Pets deserve dignity and respect and that is exactly what this place is about. When the time comes that I need services like these again I will not hesitate to come back. Although posting this is very bitter sweet, I knew I had to give this place the review it deserves. My dog passed away from cancer almost a couple weeks ago. We knew his time was coming to an end but thought we’d have a few more days to arrange for him to be euthanized. When he suddenly passed on his own we weren’t ready but knew we wanted him cremated. Immediately I started looking for places and the reviews for Guardian Animal Aftercare caught my attention. I made a call and within a couple hours, we were dropping him off. The staff member who came out to get him (who’s name I wish I would’ve gotten) was so sweet and understanding. She gave us all the time we needed to say our last goodbyes and even got teary eyed when I told her how special he was to us. When she asked if I had any last questions I mentioned that I didn’t live near by and because my dog lived with my parents (and that’s where his ashes would also be going) we’d love to have him back that same weekend if possible, before I went back home. Without a doubt she said she’d try her best and sure enough our boy was back home within 48 hours. Thank you to her and the rest of the staff for making such a painful moment, a little bit easier.

I can't say enough good about Guardian animal aftercare. I called in Jan 2022 and a very sweet lady named Helen answered the phone, we talked and she truly is so compassionate in that she helped me understand how difficult it is when our pets pass. I took my furbaby in and when i received her back i was beyond grateful for the compassion and care. Again unfortunately I had to bring another one of my beloved furbaby in. Dec. 2022 and then same compassion and care was received again. All the staff are caring. Please don't think twice this is the best crematory and make sure to have an individual cremation. After our precious 22 year old cat Sunshine passed over the Rainbow Bridge, the wonderful Vet, Dr. Gonzalez, who came to our home to assist in her passing (see my review of Gemcore Veterinary Services) set us up with Guardian Animal Aftercare to complete her journey. The professional, yet warm and caring staff were all wonderfully compassionate, and one of them even hugged us as my six year old daughter and I cried. Sunshine's ashes were given to us in a very nice wooden box with a little lock on it, and her name was inscribed on the top. Their facility is clean and well organized, and they have a nice selection of urns and keepsakes, but their biggest asset is their sweet and empathetic employees. Their genuine comforting made our heartbreaking loss a little more bearable.

The staff is very professional and caring during a very difficult time. We had our pot belly pig cremated here and the staff walked us through the entire process with empathy, dignity, respect, and compassion. They called us on the morning that we were having our pet euthanized and expressed sympathy and to let us know that they knew she was coming and had everything ready. We had a hoof print made and it was beautifully done, they even made sure we got the ribbon color that we wanted. I am very impressed with Guardian and will be using them again for our other pets when the time comes.

Our vet sent my beloved Georgia to be cremated here after he did X-rays discovering cancer and multiple organ failure. This had to be one of the hardest choices I ever made.I got her ashes back in a beautiful keepsake box with velvet bag within less than a week. A few years ago I lost my service animal she was 14 and died of cancer. This establishment was so compassionate and gave me the room to a place to sit down and have my last moments with my dog. Their staff is incredible and their attention to detail is unmatched. Guardian Animal Aftercare, provided such great service for my beloved dog Buddy! Unfortunately yesterday I had to put Buddy down as he was in pain and I couldn’t live with myself to see him suffer any longer. I called Guardian to inform them I was coming with my dog and they were so nice and caring as they helped take Buddy out of my arms and set him up for a private viewing. It was such a sad, but beautiful service and Guardian provided two roses as an honor for our amazing Buddy! Guardian took great care of not only Buddy, but us his family. They gave us our private time and never rushed us to hurry. I want to Thank Guardian so much for allowing us to have that personal time to say goodbye to our sweet boy. I would definitely recommend this place!

I am so grateful for Guardian Animal Aftercare. I lost my pet cockatiel Spike after having him for 20 years. I was a wreck when I brought him in. I got my darling boy when I was going through cancer tratments and he helped me through them. 11 years later, we traded places when he was diagnosed, only he wasnt so lucky. I miss him so much and keep his little box on the bedside table with a few of his favorite toys. I can't think of him without being a mess (like now 😭).When I chose to have him cremated, I received a phone call from a woman with the most kind, soothing and empathetic voice. In fact, when I was looking at his box tonight, I heard her voice in my head which prompted me to write this. She went over the process with me while verifying how I wanted everything all while being extremely comforting. I even had a special request to have the metal pieces from his prior TPLO surgeries included if it was possible. When it arrived, I had not a single complaint. I would like to thank this company so much.. ♡

This company is absolutely hands down incredible. During the hardest time of loosing our 5 month old puppy Paisley we felt so loved and cared for when we received our babies ashes in the most beautiful box with her name engraved and a paw print. I have had 2 of my precious babies cremated at Guardian and both times the staff was amazing and patient and understanding. With my second baby who passed on the day of the Covid lockdown (3/15/2020), the staff was absolutely wonderful and kind and patient and let me come back and spend more time with the love of my life, Lulu. They took the time to take her back out and lay her in a beautiful setting and covered with the flowers & blanket we took with her and the they let me stay till the place closed (and they never rushed me by reminding me it was closing time.) I am forever grateful to this establishment because they have the heart and does not treat it purely as just a business Thank you Guardian for making the hardest days bearable for us. Wonderful staff. They were open during 3 day holiday weekend. I was worried that I won't find a place open during the weekend but they pulled through. It was very far from where I lived, but I am very glad that I drove all the way here to take care of my business. I am glad to know that my pet was treated with love and respect till the end. The staff at the the Guardian Animal Aftercare were very respectful and friendly and helpful. It gave me a sense of comfort when I wasn't at my right mind. Thank you.

The emergency vet I went to is contracted with this crematorium. Once I found out where my dog went after being euthanized, I had great peace of mind looking at the website and reviews. I received my dogs remains within a week and a half. I can tell that they really treated my dog with respect. Thank you.

I lost my horse to a sudden tragedy. She was with me for over 20 amazing years. I was a wreck! They where patient and kind beyond words. They took amazing care of her and returned her remains beautifully to me. Her hair was trimmed and braided with her colors. I can't say enough good things about them!

Guardian could not have been more kind and compassionate over the phone. We just received the ashes of our beloved kitty Sam in a beautiful little box with a gold lock and a plaque with his name. I have had the best experience with having my pets cremated here. So far it's been 3 lovely cats 15,yrs 17yrs and 18yrs of age.Tomorrow I will be bringing in a little black stray that I have been feeding for a long time. I think she is about 10yrs or more. She was the momma stray for other cats. I want to keep her she was definitely a character. And the mom of one of my own.

I'm not sure they are open for business. On Sunday August 7th, 2022 at 09:08 am, I called Guardian Animal Aftercare. No one picked up the phone, but their phone line does not accept voicemail. So I filled out the online form and submitted it. I thought about dropping my dog at their office, but luckily I called 2 more times at 12:00pm and 12:15pm. Still nobody picked up the phone. Luckily another pet cremation business was responsive. It's now Friday August 12th, I didn't get any phone call or email from Guardian Animal Aftercare at all.They should update their phone and website if they are out of business or on vacation. Because their website says they'll respond within a day and that was not true at all.

I was just devastated when we lost our beautiful cat Zeus. I called Helen about 4 or 5 times with questions and worries and she was so helpful and calming and patient with me. I felt that she "gets it" and understands how difficult it is to lose a beloved pet. Everything was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. What a great company.

This company cremated my dog through Banfield Pet Hospital. I didn't really know what to expect back, but I received a beautiful wood box with my dog's name engraved and several other nice personal touches. Very pleased and thankful for this company's care and job well done during a tough time. Thank you!

I picked up my cat Keety's ashes from Access Vet and I wasn't expecting to see this nice box, Because one of my family members lost there pet dog and his ashes where given back in a simple plain box. I want to thank your facility for how beautiful the Wooden Box and Ingraved name came out. Last year my fur child unexpectedly passed away over the weekend. I was so desperate and very short of money, but these people took her in, went as far as to pick her up themselves and accepted a small first payment. Almost an entire year later I was able to finish paying, and without a doubt they waited for me. Not to mention the kind treatment towards their clients, they understand we are people grieving the loss of a part of ourselves.I wanted to wait until the final moment to make this review, and here it is. Out of all the placed I called, including private businesses and a pet cemetery, no where else did I receive better treatment and understanding. Outstanding in the valley and it was worth coming all the way here, even though I live in downtown L.AThank you so much to Guardian Animal Aftercare for making this process a whole lot easier. Would recommend it to anyone.

I don't know if it's right to say I'm a fortunate or unfortunate client under the circumstances, but I can definitely say I ended up in the right hands. Random things I had read online and words from people around me led me to believe that my baby's remains would come to me in a ZipLock baggie inside a cheap cardboard box. Instead I got her back in a very beautiful and dignified cedar box with nameplate, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care and attention to detail that Guardian puts into their work. I'm also very pleased with the ceramic disc with her little paw print, bother which giving her a continued presence in my home, where she belongs with her daddy. Thank you, Guardian Animal Aftercare, for making this horrible time just a little easier to bear.

The service was so great I had my pet pass away 7 months ago and they picked her up from the vet and they were really quick to have the ashes ready it came in a nice love box with a lock. A family member of mine recently had her dog pass away and she was already on her way to another center but she called this place and they were so nice,understanding,and explained everything so clearly all you had to do was fill out a form that was very easy they ask if you would like something before the cremation and we put to tell her we love her and other things the guy assured us he would and would take care of her.he was really gentle and allowed us to say out last goodbyes. He placed a warm blanket and left her beautiful roses so we can say bye. I 100% recommended this place more then anywhere because of their service and because their prices are not high other places wanted to charge me almost 500 and they had no service like this place call and give this place a chance trust me.

I lost my fur baby who literally was my kid of 15 years named Nestle. I called to inquire about the process and how everything went.I spoke to Helen and couldn’t even breathe when this was happening. She was so incredibly kind and shared her experience of loss with me which her advice ended up really helping me through this past week of missing my little boy.I really appreciated how kind Helen was about this whole process and getting my little boy back. After our precious 22 year old cat Sunshine passed over the Rainbow Bridge, the wonderful Vet, Dr. Gonzalez, who came to our home to assist in her passing (see my review of Gemcore Veterinary Services) set us up with Guardian Animal Aftercare to complete her journey. The professional, yet warm and caring staff were all wonderfully compassionate, and one of them even hugged us as my six year old daughter and I cried. Sunshine's ashes were given to us in a very nice wooden box with a little lock on it, and her name was inscribed on the top. Their facility is clean and well organized, and they have a nice selection of urns and keepsakes, but their biggest asset is their sweet and empathetic employees. Their genuine comforting made our heartbreaking loss a little more bearable.

The staff is very professional and caring during a very difficult time. We had our pot belly pig cremated here and the staff walked us through the entire process with empathy, dignity, respect, and compassion. They called us on the morning that we were having our pet euthanized and expressed sympathy and to let us know that they knew she was coming and had everything ready. We had a hoof print made and it was beautifully done, they even made sure we got the ribbon color that we wanted. I am very impressed with Guardian and will be using them again for our other pets when the time comes.

Our vet sent my beloved Georgia to be cremated here after he did X-rays discovering cancer and multiple organ failure. This had to be one of the hardest choices I ever made.I got her ashes back in a beautiful keepsake box with velvet bag within less than a week. A few years ago I lost my service animal she was 14 and died of cancer. This establishment was so compassionate and gave me the room to a place to sit down and have my last moments with my dog. Guardian Animal Aftercare, provided such great service for my beloved dog Buddy! Unfortunately yesterday I had to put Buddy down as he was in pain and I couldn’t live with myself to see him suffer any longer. I called Guardian to inform them I was coming with my dog and they were so nice and caring as they helped take Buddy out of my arms and set him up for a private viewing. It was such a sad, but beautiful service and Guardian provided two roses as an honor for our amazing Buddy! Guardian took great care of not only Buddy, but us his family. They gave us our private time and never rushed us to hurry. I want to Thank Guardian so much for allowing us to have that personal time to say goodbye to our sweet boy. I would definitely recommend this place!

I got my darling boy when I was going through cancer tratments and he helped me through them. 11 years later, we traded places when he was diagnosed, only he wasnt so lucky. I miss him so much and keep his little box on the bedside table with a few of his favorite toys. I can't think of him without being a mess (like now 😭).When I chose to have him cremated, I received a phone call from a woman with the most kind, soothing and empathetic voice. In fact, when I was looking at his box tonight, I heard her voice in my head which prompted me to write this. She went over the process with me while verifying how I wanted everything all while being extremely comforting. I even had a special request to have the metal pieces from his prior TPLO surgeries included if it was possible. When it arrived, I had not a single complaint. I would like to thank this company so much.. ♡

I have had 2 of my precious babies cremated at Guardian and both times the staff was amazing and patient and understanding. With my second baby who passed on the day of the Covid lockdown (3/15/2020), the staff was absolutely wonderful and kind and patient and let me come back and spend more time with the love of my life, Lulu. They took the time to take her back out and lay her in a beautiful setting and covered with the flowers & blanket we took with her and the they let me stay till the place closed (and they never rushed me by reminding me it was closing time.) I am forever grateful to this establishment because they have the heart and does not treat it purely as just a business Thank you Guardian for making the hardest days bearable for us. Wonderful staff. They were open during 3 day holiday weekend. I was worried that I won't find a place open during the weekend but they pulled through. It was very far from where I lived, but I am very glad that I drove all the way here to take care of my business. I am glad to know that my pet was treated with love and respect till the end. The staff at the the Guardian Animal Aftercare were very respectful and friendly and helpful. It gave me a sense of comfort when I wasn't at my right mind. Thank you.

The emergency vet I went to is contracted with this crematorium. Once I found out where my dog went after being euthanized, I had great peace of mind looking at the website and reviews. I received my dogs remains within a week and a half. I can tell that they really treated my dog with respect. Thank you.

I lost my horse to a sudden tragedy. She was with me for over 20 amazing years. I was a wreck! They where patient and kind beyond words. They took amazing care of her and returned her remains beautifully to me. Her hair was trimmed and braided with her colors. I can't say enough good things about them!

Guardian could not have been more kind and compassionate over the phone. We just received the ashes of our beloved kitty Sam in a beautiful little box with a gold lock and a plaque with his name. I have had the best experience with having my pets cremated here. So far it's been 3 lovely cats 15,yrs 17yrs and 18yrs of age.Tomorrow I will be bringing in a little black stray that I have been feeding for a long time. I think she is about 10yrs or more. She was the momma stray for other cats. I want to keep her she was definitely a character. And the mom of one of my own.

I'm not sure they are open for business. On Sunday August 7th, 2022 at 09:08 am, I called Guardian Animal Aftercare. No one picked up the phone, but their phone line does not accept voicemail. So I filled out the online form and submitted it. I thought about dropping my dog at their office, but luckily I called 2 more times at 12:00pm and 12:15pm. Still nobody picked up the phone. Luckily another pet cremation business was responsive. It's now Friday August 12th, I didn't get any phone call or email from Guardian Animal Aftercare at all.They should update their phone and website if they are out of business or on vacation. Because their website says they'll respond within a day and that was not true at all.

I was just devastated when we lost our beautiful cat Zeus. I called Helen about 4 or 5 times with questions and worries and she was so helpful and calming and patient with me. Pet's in America are revered and studies show lower rates of stress and benefits to family life resulting from of having them (cats too). Many friends and colleagues mention how thier lives are enhanced.From the packaging, service and return of remains, I am grateful. Call in service and grief counseling is included. They pick up directly from Banfield Pet Hospital and within a week ashes were returned.Thankful for the care and handling of our pet who has steady legs now and is retrieving again without pain and seeing clearly. When my Boxer, Miss Casino died of cancer last year I received so much comfort and support from Guardian. I was very impressed with their caring employees, the beautiful engraved cedar box, paw print, and the offer to receive free grief counseling! I decided I would use them when the need arises in the future. That need came last Mon when Guardian once again gained my respect when I found out my friend's beloved dog, Chex was killed on Hawthorne Blvd in Torrance last Thurs night. My friend had left for Phoenix the day before to help take care of her sick Father. Another friend was feeding the dogs when Chex ran out under the garage door and took off. Chex ended up getting killed when he was stuck by a car. My friend had her cell phone off charging it that night so she didn't find out Chex had been killed until Fri morning. The friend that was watching the dogs buried Chex in her back yard of her rental house. She was devastated! When she told us on Mon at work our hearts went out to her. We all work for the Air Force and as an Air Force family we set out to help our friend. She needed to be able to take Chex with her when she retires from the Air Force next year.I called Guardian and spoke with Gail. I cried as I shared the tragic story. Gail was so supportive and comforting. She took care of everything and arranged for Kyle to come and pick Chex up the next morning. They also gave us a military discount and we all donated the money to cover the cost. Two Air Force friends went that next morning to dig Chex up and prepare him for Guardian to pick him up. Another Air Force member sat with our devasted friend for an hour as she held his paw and said goodbye. Guardian will deliver Chex in his beautiful engraved cedar box this Fri to our friend. The box will say CHEX "RIP my sweet boy, Forever in my heart" Thanks to Guardian when our friend retires from the Air Force next year Chex in his cedar box will be sitting in the front passenger seat where he used to ride as she heads for Phoenix to start the next chapter of her life. I can't say enough great things about this company and it's employees. They are truly amazing! Gail and Kyle thank you so much for everything you did to comfort our friend and our Air Force family.God bless you both!

On the worst day of my life, GAA was a dogsend. My almost 16 year old furry baby boy, Custody, passed suddenly at home. My husband and I were beside ourselves with grief. In the disorientation, GAA was so helpful, patient and accommodating. No upselling anything, no trying to sell us super expensive urns, no ridiculous charges... Just a calm presence to help us with a devastating situation. They helped us offload our baby (70lbs) from our car and allowed us to grieve and cry and do what we needed to do. They even offered a room for us to be with him for a little while longer. At the time (and still today) I was so heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief to really appreciate all GAA did for us. We got our boy's ashes back within a week. We were so glad to have him back home so quickly. Thank you, GAA for helping us thru the worst day of our lives.

I didn't really know what to expect back, but I received a beautiful wood box with my dog's name engraved and several other nice personal touches. I picked up my cat Keety's ashes from Access Vet and I wasn't expecting to see this nice box, Because one of my family members lost there pet dog and his ashes where given back in a simple plain box. Last year my fur child unexpectedly passed away over the weekend. I was so desperate and very short of money, but these people took her in, went as far as to pick her up themselves and accepted a small first payment. Almost an entire year later I was able to finish paying, and without a doubt they waited for me. Not to mention the kind treatment towards their clients, they understand we are people grieving the loss of a part of ourselves.I wanted to wait until the final moment to make this review, and here it is. Out of all the placed I called, including private businesses and a pet cemetery, no where else did I receive better treatment and understanding. Outstanding in the valley and it was worth coming all the way here, even though I live in downtown L.AThank you so much to Guardian Animal Aftercare for making this process a whole lot easier. Would recommend it to anyone.

I don't know if it's right to say I'm a fortunate or unfortunate client under the circumstances, but I can definitely say I ended up in the right hands. Random things I had read online and words from people around me led me to believe that my baby's remains would come to me in a ZipLock baggie inside a cheap cardboard box. Instead I got her back in a very beautiful and dignified cedar box with nameplate, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care and attention to detail that Guardian puts into their work. I'm also very pleased with the ceramic disc with her little paw print, bother which giving her a continued presence in my home, where she belongs with her daddy. Thank you, Guardian Animal Aftercare, for making this horrible time just a little easier to bear.

My sweet Cisco was euthanized at Access Specialty Animal Hospital and Guardian Pet aftercare took care of him with the beautiful box with his ashes and my babies paw print and a comforting letter.
