I cannot say enough to express my gratitude to the team at Preferred Pets. From the moment I needed to put my baby boy Robin to rest, they were there. They took such grand care of my Robin. Keeping me updated every step of the way, answering my questions with care, listening to me between sobs… they were there. When it came time to pick up Robin, my family and I were pleasantly surprised by the care put behind how Pam packaged him. Robin’s urn was carefully placed in a bag with our necklace, clay paw print, a bookmark with his picture and a poem, a vial of fur, and a sympathy card with a cat bracelet inside. The thoughtfulness and care behind the whole process didn’t take away the pain of losing my beloved, but it definitely softened the blow.Additionally, while other places quoted me around $300 for a base service, Preferred Pets charged much less with a much higher quality, and the flexibility to get keepsakes to memorialize my baby.I will forever be grateful to this team for caring for my boy. May you all be blessed. ❤️

Amazing place and highly recommend! Very compassionate people, very inviting as soon as I walked in. My hamster passed away and I quickly needed to figure out where to bring him. They were able to take him quickly the same day. An older lady helped me out and helped pick out my best options. I waited about 10 business days. Everything came beautifully packaged and handled with so much care. The little details is what tied everything together. Everything was boxed up, Preferred Pets were able to fulfill my wishes of keeping his paw prints, came with a bookmark, a card, and a beautiful bracelet.They kept me updated with everything by text message which was also a bonus. I thank everyone that works here you made my grieving easier knowing he was handled with so much love. It’s a great peace of mind

The staff is incredible ! They treated Maxie with respect and dignity. I can’t believe how much support and kindness they provided to me. I lost two other dogs this year all from old age and this was for sure the best experience I had. They took all the stress and worry out of the process, they did not take advantage of me and ask for more and more money on top of money. Prices were clear cut no surprises ! Big thing is I got Maxie back with no worries it’s Maxie. Thank you so much for all you do Preferred Pets !! Loreen L

2 weeks ago my dog passed away and left a hole in all of our hearts so I wanted to make sure I sent her off with the very best I researched a few places in my area and found preferred pet cremation. I saw the good reviews and after making a few phone calls found that they had the most affordable prices and accommodations, they were able to take me as a walk in appointment the day she passed and were very kind over the phone. When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and sincere and the facility isn’t really a workplace but more of a home environment which comforted us. After filling out the forms and selecting all the services I wanted I received a message from them 1 week later notifying me that her ashes would be ready to pick up today. I arrived to pick up my dogs ashes and Nancy was very kind and sincere as she went over and verified everything I had purchased. Preferred pet cremation is the only place I will recommend to family and friends, Thank you.

It’s been a year since my pet passed away and my phone shared a memory with pictures from my great experience with Preferred Pets Cremation. From initial contact they were very kind and communicative. I appreciated them taking care of my hedgehog’s cremation right away. They were so considerate to give me a chance to say goodbye in their office and offered heartfelt condolences. When I picked my pet’s remains they were packaged with great care in and wrapped in a beautiful gift bag complete with a card, picture, and bookmark. I’m a big reader so it was perfect token to remember my Hagrid. Anyone who has lost a pet understands how difficult it can be so my experience with them meant a lot and I am so grateful I found them. Highly recommend :)

I brought my Leopard Gecko, Charmander, and everyone, especially the lady at the desk, made the process so thoughtful and easy. I’m super happy with what I got back, and they even gave me a free bracelet with a lizard on it 💛 would recommend to anyone grieving their pet friend.For foot prints, the urn, and the cremation, it was $164 for anyone concerned about the money :) Very cheap for cremation. The bookmark is free every time, I’m not sure if they do the bracelet every time, though. 💛

Unfortunately our family tragically lost our 10 year old Zoe. I spoke with Pam over the phone and she was so compassionate and understanding of the sad situation. Usually they have appointments and it was nearing their closing time. But Pam was very kind and told me I could drop her off, and she even stayed slightly past closing so that I was able to drop her off before the three day weekend. It was a huge relief after so much stress. And after the weekend, Pam contacted me to go over what services I would like for our Zoe Dog. She was very sweet and caring during this sensitive time for our family. Their pricing was very reasonable and so we were able to purchase a beautiful wooden urn for her ashes and a paw print keepsake. I was also given a lovely bookmark and it all came in a beautiful bag. Loosing our Zoe has been difficult for our family, but the love and care shown by Pam was such a God sent. I would recommend Preferred Pets Cremation to anyone who has lost a beloved pet.

Can’t recommend Preferred Pets enough. Lou was so gentle when picking up our girl and made sure her head was resting peaceful on the gurney. The whole process was so easy. Pam and Mark gave us a sweet card and we got a bracelet as well. The box the ashes came in was absolute beautiful. 10/10.

I highly recommend Pam and Preferred Pet Cremation! Unfortunately, I have had to go there twice in the past year. First for my cat Leila, and last week for my dog Paco. It was because of the great care and service we received a year ago with Leila that we returned again for Paco. Pam was very communicative, thoughtful and caring. She even gave us a beautiful card, framed picture and a bookmark.Please note that I read the one review recently posted and I could only think there was a miscommunication because I didn’t have any trouble both times they helped me and quite the contrary, they were extremely caring and helpful.

We unfortunately have lost 2 pets our 1st dog 6/2022 and our 2nd dog 1/2024 and this company is so HUMAN !! The empathy, sincere condolences, love, and attention we received each time is amazing honestly. I lost my dog suddenly and unexpectedly. I did a quick online search for pet cremation and chose preferred pets. They were very caring on the phone and came to pick up my dog. They wrapped her up in a caring way and allowed me to say a goodbye at their car. I chose this service because I was too distraught to bring her myself even though she was only 13 pounds. They handled everything for me. I chose a beautiful Urn for my Lily and got two pendants with her ashes. At the time of pick up I saw they saved some of Lily's hair and I was so happy because I wanted that but forgot to ask. I am so happy I chose preferred pets to take care of my Lily.

I came home from work, on the evening of 01/06/22 😞, to find my baby boy on the floor passed away. My boyfriend found Preferred Pets Cremation and gave them a ring. Even though it was after hours they still answered and assisted us the same evening. Once we arrived, Pam greeted us outside and I carried him in for the last time. Pam was so welcoming and comforting. Her communication throughout the entire experience was so caring and attentive. No one even rushed me out the building even though they had already closed .They have really beautiful selections of urns to choose from. I was also able to purchase a necklace to have some of his ashes placed inside. I chose a wooden box for his new home.The presentation of something so painful was so beautifully put together. I’m grateful that this is the place we chose to handle this experience for us. Such a beautiful, quality, efficient, and caring establishment. We don’t want to have to ever do things like this, but unfortunately it’s inevitable and you want the best to handle it. Thank you for everything!

I just wanted to thank all the people who work here for helping me through this process. I unfortunately lost my leopard gecko, Ekho, unexpectedly. I found this place and I am so grateful I did. Everyone was so kind and helpful, especially Nancy. It was such a difficult morning and Nancy helped make that difficult morning into a better one.The amount of dedication and care that they put into the packaging from the book mark to the urn was impeccable. Pam at Preferred Pets Cremation was wonderful when my dear Angel passed away in February of 2022 and needed a cremation service. Out of all the pet cremation services offered in SD, I am happy that I went with Preferred Pets. They have better pricing and they really go the extra mile. Trust that your pet will be in caring hands. I also like that they offer aquamation cremation, urns for purchase, a bookmark with your pets picture and an option to add a clay impression of your pet's paw. I sincerely appreciate the sympathy card that was included and everything was packaged so nicely. Loosing my baby was so hard and unexpected. I never liked the idea of cremation but Preferred Pets was awesome to work with. They picked up my baby, took care of everything and called me when he was ready to pick up. It was such a bad time in my life but they helped me through it! I really appreciate the framed picture and book mark that they provided, along with the memory bracelet. What a nice thought. So caring. I will always use Preferred Pets in the future.

My sweet kitty, Missy Poo, made it to almost 20 years old before she passed. We were set on taking her to be put down but sadly she didn't make it through the night. It was Saturday morning and I was lost on where to turn. I did a Google search and called Preferred Pets. Marc and Pam made everything so easy. I called at 930am and they met us by 1030am. Prices are very reasonable and the package we were able to make to celebrate Missy Poo was beautiful. Pam also made sure to include my 10 year old furing the urn choices and it helped calm him.. Losing our pet sent us to the very limit of sadness. He was truly a family member to us. We knew it was coming but even that didn’t help at all. Our first issue with this loss was in deciding how to handle his remains. Our son opted to have him cremated. We had no experience with this but when we called we were immediately given information on their services and scheduled to come in. The personality over the phone was so considerate and kind that I couldn’t even believe it. When we arrived we were helped right along in making the necessary decisions and in choosing options that go with this sort of process. The bottom line is from the day we started in on this to the day we picked up the urn and all other keepsakes we were 100 percent confident we had made the right choice. Do yourself a favor and do as we did- these people are genuinely good people and really really remove the stress of losing your pet. I can’t recommend them enough. ❤️❤️❤️The quality of their work is ao great you’ll never believe it.

When my cat passed they were kind enough to meet me at their office (when no one was there) and greeted me in this horrible time. Extremely reasonable prices and definitely Sympathetic . My mom used Preferred Pets for the cremation of our cat, and despite this obviously being an awful time, they were so understanding and caring and helped make the process as easy as possible. The presentation of the ashes was also very nice and came with a lovely card. I'm grateful that they made a really difficult time a little bit easier for my mom.

Our precious dog LaLa passed away unexpectedly on a Sunday morning. I contacted Preffered Pets Cremation after business hours, and they were friendly, kind, and accommodating to our needs. Preferred Pets Cremation was wonderful, and I recommend them to all my pet loving friends. I tried calling and emailing several other businesses from a list given to me (by SDHS)but had no replies. PPC came up on a search, and I'm glad I called. Pam answered the phone right away and answered all my questions, putting my mind and heart at ease with the whole process of caring for my cat Cookie's final arrangements.I am very happy with Preferred Pets Cremation.

My dog Chevy and I,have been together since hours after he was born,till the day he passed. So leaving him with just anybody ,was very hard for me. Mark,at Preferred Pets made it so much easier for me. His compassion for my loss was deeply felt. When I walked from the outside to inside,my worries were gone.Everyone I talked with were very nice and sincere.It was hard to show how much it meant at the time ,but it meant a lot then and always will mean a lot to me how sincere everyone was when I went back to pick up Chevy. They have many differnt erns to choose from.Everything came out perfect to go with my perfect baby boy. Thank u Preferred Pets for making things easier. It says "open 24 hours". My beloved pet passed suddenly on a Tuesday at 8pm. The ad also says "drop-off is free to you". The cranky old woman with whom I spoke insisted that they were closed and 8d have to drop off when they open and I'd have to pay WHEN I DROP OFF. Does that sound like its open 24 hours and it's a free drop off? Booooo!!!!! I do NOT recommend this place. They falsely advertise then yell at you if you call "after hours".

Really great price and they do aquamation, which I found out is definitely the best way to cremate. That's why I went with them after doing some looking around at the places in San Diego, but it was honestly better service than I could've expected. I definitely would recommend 100%

Preferred Pets made the final process of loosing our 19 yr old cat Pancho so gentle and peaceful. Nancy had the sweetest disposition and made the process easier. Highly recommend them.

I came home from work, on the evening of 01/06/22 😞, to find my baby boy on the floor passed away. My boyfriend found Preferred Pets Cremation and gave them a ring. Even though it was after hours they still answered and assisted us the same evening. Once we arrived, Pam greeted us outside and I carried him in for the last time. Pam was so welcoming and comforting. Her communication throughout the entire experience was so caring and attentive. No one even rushed me out the building even though they had already closed .They have really beautiful selections of urns to choose from. I was also able to purchase a necklace to have some of his ashes placed inside. I chose a wooden box for his new home.The presentation of something so painful was so beautifully put together. I’m grateful that this is the place we chose to handle this experience for us. Such a beautiful, quality, efficient, and caring establishment. We don’t want to have to ever do things like this, but unfortunately it’s inevitable and you want the best to handle it. Thank you for everything!

My bunny Ollie passed away and Sheila was very compassionate, caring, and helpful through the process. She explained the options available and was very patient with us when we were deciding what we would like to add on or not. Thank you Sheila for all your help and kindness during this hard time.

I just wanted to thank all the people who work here for helping me through this process. I unfortunately lost my leopard gecko, Ekho, unexpectedly. I found this place and I am so grateful I did. Everyone was so kind and helpful, especially Nancy. It was such a difficult morning and Nancy helped make that difficult morning into a better one.The amount of dedication and care that they put into the packaging from the book mark to the urn was impeccable. I believe Pam was in charge of that!It is an unfortunate situation to have to go through but the staff definitely made it easier. Thank you for everything and giving my Ekho the proper send off she deserved.

Pam and Mark were awesome. I really appreciated Pam's kindness and sincere attitude during a sad time after our cat Kiara died. Pam went above and beyond what I expected, from the bookmark to paw print and the urn, she helped make it all perfect and packaged it with care. The handwritten card was very thoughtful. I would definitely recommend Preferred Pets to anyone looking to have their loving animal cremated. Thanks so much Pam.

Unfortunately This is the 2nd time I have to bring my pets here and I have to say the owner and Nancy have been very nice very compassionate people . I came and called very disrupted to bring them to get cremated and they made the process very easy both times . Thank you for helping me through this painful process
