My wife and I lost our beloved dog named Hero We had her for 14 years but sadly she passed away one Sunday morning. I called LovedPet Memorial Park and spoke to James. He was very helpful and we drove our Hero that same morning. Staff was very sympathetic to our loss. Claudia a staff member worked hard to get us back her ashes before Christmas day. We are aware she worked some long hours and made sure they kept their promise. Thank you James and Claudia for coming through and reigning us our Hero as promised.

Jim the owner and his team I have worked with for several years with many large and small hospice fosters as well as my own furry kids. He was recommended to me by a great local dog trainer and animal lover and I am lucky to have Loved Pet as my resource for the hardest of times. I take my furry one directly to Loved Pet and make a day or afternoon out of it both celebrating the life of the one I have lost and bringing a few furry ones so that after drop off and mourning we celebrate a bit of life together too at the dog park or to lunch. Very lucky to have such a place that one can trust during such tough times of loss. Thank you Jim and team for your kind work and keep it up - you have seen 4 of my furry kids this past year and every fur kid was amazing - it felt good to leave them with you knowing they were with the best. Thank you. Lorraine and the gang

We lost our Lola in August, 2024. We took her to Loved Pet and we were so pleased with Jim and his staff. They were very respectful and kind. We weren't exactly distraught as we had known for 3 years that Lola was living on borrowed time due to CHF, so we were able to share fond memories and have a few laughs. Plus, we got free eggs! We would definitely recommend them, as opposed to going through your local vet. Well worth the drive for us.

We had to put down our wonderful baby girl cat after 11 years on a Friday and I was worried we were going to have to put her in the freezer until Monday about usually places are not open on the weekend! I called and sure enough they were open, they took care of my baby, cremation, urn everything and went over everything before actually doing the duty. I am grateful for the time they spent with me and the emotional support they gave as it was a hard transition. Shout to Jim, Claudia and a wonderful therapy dog by Jim’s side! Thank you Monterey Loved pets for taking such great care of my baby! She is home now and displayed with love! ❤️❤️❤️

Many thanks to the kind staff here for helping us with the loss of one of God’s beautiful creatures. There will always be a memorial and many memories of our little one. Besides being a great watch dog and guardian of the family she was a service dog and had unique abilities. We are glad to have a proper urn to show our love and respect; it is something we will always treasure.

Our beloved JayT died this morning. LovedPet was available via the telephone early this morning. They were very patient as I explained the situation and gave me direction on how to keep her until we were able to make our way. The setting is quiet and lush and was of great comfort to me and my son. The quote over the phone ended being the same once we arrived on site. They went over options but I didn’t feel like we were being upsold. We had total access to see the cremation furnace and were offered access to their comfort room where my son and I were able to cry as this reality continues to set in. I’m very grateful to have found LovedPet today. I hope this review helps you. In loving memory of Joyce Terry, my little girl and my son’s big sister. 💕🐶🙏🏾 God Bless you all. I will not forget your services in our time of need.

We lost our girl, her name was Babe, she was deaf pitty ❤️ She was intentionally run over yesterday. We were and are in shock. Our souls are torn in half. The owners at LovedPet answered the phone at 7:00pm, met us the next day and we were able to be with her for the entire cremation process. We brought her home with us tonight.Every single person at this business was kind, they listened and they gently met all of our needs. I’ll never forget this, never.

They were so helpful and the grounds are so beautiful and comforting.I called at 9:45pm at night in tears not sure what to do because my baby died very unexpectedly. But the man over the phone was very kind to me and explained everything gently. They gave me his little paw prints for free which was incredibly sweet. As much as leaving him there all alone hurt so intensely, I knew they would treat him with respect. I miss him so much. My silly little puppy.

Our beloved dog Jezzie passed on after a very happy 13 year life. We ended up contacting LovedPet because our initial company made us drive over Highway 17, then did not answer our calls. Sometimes things happen for a reason. James at LovedPet graciously accepted our call and told us to come down. They are of the highest integrity, showed an abundance of compassion, and made it very apparent that they genuinely care. Every person I had contact with showed us the utmost compassion and empathy. I cannot recommend them enough for both the quality of their services, and their truly caring nature. The custom urn is beautiful, heartwarming, and well made.Thank you LovedPet, we sincerely appreciate everything!

This is the best place on earth that I would want my fur baby family member to be remembered. Danielle is just wonderful. She went out of her way to listen to my story and my needs. This was a sudden and big loss to our family and she somehow made it a littler better.Danielle, Thank you so much for listening and caring the way you did and all the heart you put into this for us. Not only should you be proud of the work and care you provide at a time of sadness, but just be fulfilled that you completed the circle of life for our fur babies and families like us. I absolutely love this urn and the memory will be cherished forever. I do not think it could have been done any better and the turn around was awesome. From our family, our Big Beautiful Boy Blu to you, love and gratitude...….

This took a long time to make ...We lost our beloved Rabbit Benito on a Sunday Morning.Me and my partner woke up to an emergency and lost our only baby boy rabbit, Benito. LovedPets, was the option we chose and where glad we did.Jim and staff gave Benito and us nothing but respect and where very understanding of our situation.Jim reminded me of a dad through his comforting words after Benitos passing.Jim made this horrible experience a little bit more easy to swallow. Jim and staff, thank you. We will always remember how you treated Benny with respect and gave us comfort .

charging my friend in mourning extra and claiming that they’re discriminating against you (Jim) strictly because she didn’t want to carry her best friends body is insane. I wouldn’t recommend my enemy go here when you have people saying things like “it’s just a dog” to people who just lost their best friend. Get a grip. It’s disgusting and I honestly don’t understand how anyone has had a good experience here if they’re treated the way Jim treated her. A disgrace. 🙂 Have the day you deserve. Time might have passed since then, but it’s still awful and this business deserves to get called out for it. ✋🏻

My best furry friend of 11 years passed away last night, and it has been devastating. The one thing that made this process easier was the kindness, sincerity, and convenience afforded to me through the cremation services provided here. Jim was truly a pleasure to work with on a day where nothing has been pleasant, and made the entire process easy and worry-free. He also helped me get paw prints for keepsake, which was really important to me, but wasn't working with the ink pad that I had. Above and beyond, amazing service, and a genuinely comforting experience when saying goodbye to a pet so special.

Everyone I dealt with was very kind and compassionate. They were willing to work within my budget and find a way to help me care for my pet in the best way possible. The grounds and graveyard are very beautiful and peaceful. They even stayed a little after hours to allow me time to pick up my pet after work. I would definitely recommend their services to others.

I unfortunately had to use their services, but the customer service really made the process easier. The owner, James Roberts, spoke with me on the phone and he comforted me when I explained the situation and start crying. I was able to set up for my baby Kiba to get cremated even tho I no longer live in CA. My family was able to drop her off with them after hours and I am very grateful they were willing to do that. They were able to bill me remotely and ship her to me. When she arrived to me the packaging was clearly well thought out so that her urn would not be damaged. They also took her paw prints and sent them to me (it did not occur to me to ask for that) and I cannot thank them enough for doing that. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone who has to deal with the terrible loss of their pet.

I am absolutely in love with this business! The entire staff was so wonderful. The staff member I worked with was personable and gave me all the time I needed to say one last good bye. She even sat with me and shared her experience with losing her own pet and how she managed to get through it. The urn I received was exactly what I imagined my Max' final resting place. They really did nail exactly what I expressed I wanted. I am very thankful I had them to guide me through the final decisions for my pet.

We were traveling in California when our beloved border collie took a turn for the worse and we had to have to have him put down. We called Loved Pets and they said they would stay open so that we could have a private cremation. We were able to help with placing our dog in the cremation device and put his remains into an urn. This may be more than some people are comfortable with, but for us it was part of our grieving process. James the owner was ok with us doing as much or as little as was safe and we were comfortable, he was very open and honest. Sam who performed the cremation was incredibly sweet and gentle with our dog. Thanks again.

My dear dog Gabby passed over a week ago and friends immedately took me to LovedPet, where they had gone for same day services when their own pets had passed. I had no idea such a place or service existed and am so grateful to have had a truly private cremation. Not only are the staff kind, gentle, and understanding, I could not have imagined a more peaceful setting for which to do this final service for my beloved baby.

My beautiful cat was hit by a car and died so suddenly. I was inconsolable. In some ways, I still feel like I’ll never be okay but the people here at LovedPet are so kind and compassionate. The urn crafted for her ashes was outstandingly beautiful. I truly feel like coming here provided some form of closure, that I’ve been struggling to get due to her sudden passing. The owner and Danielle are kind generous empathetic people. If you need a good place after the death of a beloved pet, this is the way to go.

Cannot say how thankful our family is for LovedPets. We have entrusted them with caring for our pets after they have passed for many years now and they have been caring, kind, and compassionate every time. We have had four pets cremated by them: two cats, a bearded dragon and a rabbit. LovedPets is a family run, local business that understands that when you are dealing with the passing of your pet, how important patience is while they go over options. They have many beautiful choices and can personalize with engravings and even photos of your pet. We never look forward to losing a pet, but we are grateful to know that when that day finally comes, we have a trusted place to take them where they will be respectfully transitioned into an urn. Burial is also an option and the grounds are lovely. Landscaping maintenance was observed during my visit this past weekend and the quiet, country setting is a peaceful resting place if you choose burial. Lovedpets cares for small loved critters like our Beardie or big ones, even horses. Their prices are more than reasonable and their professionalism and compassion is priceless when your heart is grieving your pet. Thank you LovedPets!

This place was great. We had a private cremation for our beloved Charlotte. They took her paw prints and were very gentle with her little doggie body...We were allowed to pet her and say our goodbyes one last time. We also picked out a cute purple colored memory box. Manny and his team were comforting and understanding in our time of grief. The place is located up in the hills. There is also a pet cemetary surrounded by lots of trees and greenery.

On 12/28, my kitty passed away and I brought her to LovedPets on 12/29 for a private cremation. I have previously brought 2 other pets here for cremations in 2012. Things HAVE CHANGED, and NOT for the better.I arrived at 830AM on 12/29. James, the owner, and his assistant, Linda, took me into the office to go over which services I wanted. I decided on a private cremation, a pan to put my kitty in (so her remains are not mixed with others-$35), a mahogany urn, the Rainbow Bridge poem engraved, and my kitty's name engraved.James complained about his employees, saying that his engraver was an irresponsible artist who stole money from him, how other employees had stolen $700k, and how an employee demanded $50 an hour for being a "personal assistant" because he had sent her to pick up his prescriptions during her work hours. However, the most DISGUSTING thing that came out of his mouth was his reference to the man who prepared the animals for cremation, Sam. Sam is Hispanic. James told me, in front of Linda, that after Sam received his citizenship, he suddenly learned the words "money, overtime, and lunch".Sam was kind, and helped me prepare my kitty for her cremation. I waited on premises while my kitty was cremated. This took about 45 minutes.I had to find James after my kitty was cremated to ask him if the urn was ready. He snapped at me saying that he was with other customers and would get to me when he could. In my mind, I would figure he would want to finish with a customer and then move on to the next.I went back to my car with my cat's remains. I waited in my car until 12PM and then went back into his office to ask the update of the urn. When I walked into the office James said, "Are you here to bug again?" I asked him when the urn would be ready and he said, "You sure are pushy, aren't you?" He said that the batteries on his leveler were out and he was sending Linda to get batteries and lunch. He said he was grouchy because his back hurt and Linda joked and said James gets cranky when he doesn't eat. James sent Linda to get batteries and burritos. He said that he had been working on the engraving, but since his engraver was not there, he was having a hard time doing it because he had not done it in years. Had he said that in the initial review of product, I would have opted to not even purchase an urn, much less engraving, from him because he was not capable of fulfilling that service. In addition, the Rainbow Bridge poem he had selected was for a male after I had written on her intake form that my cat was a female.I went back out to my vehicle to wait for another hour. I went back to his office at 1PM to check the status of the urn. At this point, I set my phone on audio recording so I could record what he was saying to me. When I went into the office to let him know that I would just take the plain wooden box that came with the cremation, James said, "What do you want? You're not making any headway with me right now, okay? Yelling at me and criticizing me and stuff is not getting you anywhere. You come in here and point it out that I am going slow doesn't help, my hands are shaking." I then told James that I was paying for a service (mind you, during this entire time, my voice is shaking and I am crying because I am so devastated over my cat). He said, "Is this gonna accomplish anything? Am I gonna be able to get you your box any sooner by you going through the whole thing again?" I then asked for a refund for the urn and the engraving to which he wrote me a refund check.I noticed that there was a liquor bottle next to his chair. He then proceeded to complain about his employees again, telling me the same stories he had in the beginning. He told me that some customers had been waiting for their urns since MAY!Please, please, please do not go here to cremate your beloved pet. This man is heartless, has zero bedside manner and is extremely unkind.I am contacting the BBB.

We needed help after hours when our dear boxer died late in the day. We called and were immediately and respectfully served by the owner, who lives adjacent to the premises. Individual cremation and return of the ashes in an attractive oak box were provided at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

They lost the cricket toy my cat Alley played with!!! Alley cat passed away on 4/9/2021, she was only 8 years old, in good health but appeared to go quickly, like a stroke or something. My neighbor found her in his yard in a spot she liked to sleep in, we were all very saddened by it, she was a wonderful fun kitty! So taking her in a wrapped up box for her last ride was very sad for me. I had taken her to be cremated on April 14th,2021 during my lunch hour. I had her cricket toy with her and thought about it being cremated with her, but then he said it would be an extra charge so I said forget it. I will take the toy back with me, this was after he took Alley to another area. What I find strange is he couldn't retrieve it and told me to just come back and get it when she is ready for pick up. I drove out there, from work a week ago, no one could find the toy, it had sentimental value. After reading a review about how uncaring he is, it wouldn't surprise me if it got thrown away!!

We called them on a Sunday & they certainly exceeded our expectations even though it was out of office hours. Super friendly, work with you in the best way to make sure you feel comfortable and supported. Would highly recommend. A beautiful place to go and take your pets🤍
Fabiola Ocampo Garcia
Excellent service! Answered all my questions and helped me understand the process. The place is very peaceful and seen all the pets around makes you feel at peace. My cat’s little paws were perfectly captured on the top of the box.

Very friendly staff. Peaceful, country setting. Reasonable prices. Outstanding customer service and empathic energy. I highly recommend this place for any memorial pet needs. I will certainly think of them in the future when I reach the time to honor another furry friend.

When our beloved dog passed away in the late evening, on a Sunday, preceding a national holiday, we were concerend about finding a place open the next day. Not only were they open, but we were able to tour the facility and see how well our Junior would be cared for. There are beautiful urns, and stunning laser printed pictures available to add (for adding a picture of our dog, as well as wording). We were treated openly, honestly and most of all with respect. We will be using their services exclusivley from now on.

Do NOT entrust ANYTHING to these people. They do NOT care about your pet OR you. After my horrible experience with this company (both the owner and his sleazy underling), I did some research and found out both the owner and his drug addict worker have been in trouble for unscrupulous activities for years. They ripped ME off and then even had the audacity to steal the antique quilts I had around my dog. She was my best friend for 15 years. It makes me sick that I let them touch her.Feel free to contact me.

First, I opened the cremation certificate that has the wrong departed date. Then I got the box out of the bag and the top of the wood has red dots of paint. Then there is a spot where the wood is damaged from possibly glue being wiped on it or the wood be stripped. Either way, it doesn't look nice and my dog deserved better. This company obviously has a lack of quality control or compassion for their job.
Elena Riojas
Very disappointing I work an RVT locally here so I work with animals everyday . I used their service for when my own dog passed . When I got the ashes return I didnt like how the font was different sizes , I had all ready spent at least $400 for the ashes of my best friend. When I called to see if they would adjust this form me as a courtesy they wanted to charge an additional $25 on top of the $400 already spent . It saddens me that there are companies out there that nickel and dime you when you devote your life to save animals and you ask for a simple request. I feel you deserve to have your beloved pets memorial how you imagine it. I will never recommend this company they are all about money and do not care about your feelings or pets .

I have use this place twice before, and had ok experiences. This time it took 5weeks to get my dogs remains back. They forgot to put her in the delivery van so had to overnight her remains. Then I look at the paw prints and they are not my dogs. They are about 5 times too big. I just hope the remains I got back are my dogs. Every time my vet called to find out where the process was we kept getting a different response. My vet is still waiting to find out where the right paw prints are. BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!

Pets don't become ill, injured, or decline at convenient times. I am thankful that Monterey Bay LovedPet would accommodate us for a witnessed private cremation on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, in time of COVID, with calmness, compassion, empathy, and measured good humour at a very difficult time and emotional time.
Autumn Eaves
charging my friend in mourning extra and claiming that they’re discriminating against you (Jim) strictly because she didn’t want to carry her best friends body is insane.

Maria Perez
Took my beloved Daisy 🐕 to Jim and his wonderful staff, made everything smooth and simple.

Sandra De La Cruz
Cassie Mattos

Our ESA Pickle passed away last Friday. I called LovedPets spoke with Jim and his assistant they helped us with our questions and concerns regarding the cremation of our kitty. The staff were understanding and sympathetic. I recommend their services!
Frances Karandy
My dear dog Gabby passed over a week ago and friends immedately took me to LovedPet, where they had gone for same day services when their own pets had passed. I had no idea such a place or service existed and am so grateful to have had a truly private cremation. Not only are the staff kind, gentle, and understanding, I could not have imagined a more peaceful setting for which to do this final service for my beloved baby.

We buried our beloved cat here over the weekend. The place is very peaceful and beautiful with a host of bunnies and turkeys roaming about. Jim is a great guy and was very helpful and friendly through the whole process. Looking forward to visiting often.

This place is so awesome, 5 stars is not enough to express how happy we are with their services, I would recommend them to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and dignity, Cindy was the best and is part of our family now she is a sweet caring person who explains everything in such detail with you from start to finish, top notch business, we will definitely go back again for sure.!!

So far I can say, that we were well taken care of. Process wasn't too long. Jim was very considerate through the whole process. We lost a mastiff and Jim's dog was friendly and felt comforting to have a big dog around.

They are so kind and generous with the cremation of my beloved lizard
