Sharlet from Kirby & Family Funeral Services was amazing to work with. She was really helpful when it came to my dad's funeral, who recently passed away. She made sure everything was taken care. During such a stressful and sad time, we didn't have to worry. They did a wonderful job preparing my dad for his service. He looked so peaceful and handsome during the viewing. He looked just like himself. My mom and I highly recommend choosing this funeral home for your family. They did a fantastic job and we couldn't be happier. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The members of this establishment have been a wonderful bunch. When we lost our beautiful boys Kirby and family were there to help and support us with our needs. They made sure everything was taken care of. Everyone was professional and supportive.I want to give a big thank you to Abby for being so supportive, caring, and helpful to my husband and I during this difficult time. When we first met with Abby she made sure every detail was explained out to where we understood. Abby helped guide us through the most devastating decisions. She arranged the most beautiful funeral and picked a beautiful spot for our son’s final resting place. Abby ensured everything went according to our wishes and plan. There’s no words to describe how thankful we are for Abby and what she’s done for us.Lastly, Sharlet we want to thank you as well. Sharlet coordinated our son’s headstone and guided us to create the most memorable and perfect headstone for our sons. She made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it and ensured that everything was placed correctly. Kirby helped us with pre-plan and pre-pay for both my parents in Oct 2023. Mother passed at Christmas, Father passed 2 months after Mother. The family are all out of state. The entire Kirby staff was knowledgeable, compassionate, and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Kirby and their pre-plan process. It removed so much stress during our time of grief.

Wow, we were indeed pleased Mom and Dad visited Kirby about 40 years ago. Mom buried Dad solo about 25 years ago while we were away…, but now I know how she did it… where she found all the help… Kirby was walking with her, and in her grief, I guess she kept it to herself… or else maybe her only son just wasn’t listening.This time, it was all different… we were here with Mom for the last several years… ending with 6 months of hell on earth filled with pain, medical, hospice, along with the unknowns, and all of the other attendant things that happen when a 101-year-old Greatest Generation WWII Rosie the Riveter decides that she has completed her work here on earth, as it has come to be far time to rejoin Dad. And she did.But you know what, even though Kirby was 100 miles away, they filled in for that big brother an only son doesn’t have when riding in his first rodeo. They walked with us every foot of the way; they were there with all of “the things”… you know “the things”… as in… “You don’t know what you don’t know” things… right down to the last day… as when I was the one that had to be reminded… “You really need to sit down now so we can begin the ceremony,” LOL. These people are your friends, and they will walk with you… every foot of the way… they don’t stop… give them every opportunity to provide your needs and walk with you.Let me close with a quick story about one of my favorite “F” words… it happens to be Friend. You probably know the others… faith, forever, or family, maybe. How about forgiveness? Have you used that word much?Anyway, as I was taking a shortcut across a cemetery the other night, I tripped and fell into an uncovered hole… and I wasn’t getting out of there alone… too deep… I sat and sulked.Well, in the next hour or so, a vagrant passed by tossing me a half-eaten banana; then the preacher came by with… “I’ll pray for you and send somebody.” Then the attorney tossed me his card as he passed: “We’ll sue!”It was getting cold and starting to rain… when all of a sudden, this huge crash in the night… and this guy lands right on top of my head… on me… Headfirst… “What are you doing down here, fool…” I shouted; huh… who are you? Do I know you? If it wasn’t an old friend of mine, and now we were both stuck down here… a pair of fools.“Whoa…Not so quick, Bucko,” as he quickly jumped up, straightening himself out as he proudly beamed… “C’mon, I’ve been down here before… AND I KNOW THE WAY OUT,” he secretly whispered. Now, let’s get going,” and we did.I recall my son and I walking in on Bill a couple of weeks ago, complete strangers nonetheless, plopping down Mother’s treasured but wadded-up Kirby ID card on the table in front of us like I was looking for an assay. Those eyes beamed, like a mother to a babe, picked up that card, took us by hand, welcomed us home, and then we walked on together.And that’s our Kirby story today, and here is our chance to say, “Ms Grace, Tom, and Bill, thank you for walking with our family for all of those years, even in our ignorance of your presence. And then, we pulled off a last-minute surprise return to find you still there…walking along, waiting for us.And return we did. But Kirby has always been there from the very beginning, through all these years… waiting… silently carrying on, knowing, caring, planning, and keeping a steady watch, invisibly walking with us step by step as they patiently awaited our return… and upon our return, there you all were with open arms as we all joined together with Mom on her way to rejoin Dad in the newness of life.God Bless.Dennis, Nita and Family

I am so grateful for Heather Marsalis at Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services. When my partner died unexpectedly, she helped me through a terribly difficult time, was professional and friendly, and explained everything thoroughly at a time when thinking logically is hard. The private graveside service was as lovely as possible, and Heather's tribute to Tim was touching. She and her staff helped me with the Celebration of Life that followed, and they took care of the guest book, directing the many people who came, and made sure everything was in its place afterward. My mom died in August and we chose Kirby and Family Funeral Home to help us. We met with Abby and made all the arrangements for Mom's cremation. She was very kind and patient and did not pressure us in any way. At first we chose to handle all the memorial service details ourselves. When we changed our minds, Abby was there to handle everything. Did I mention how patient she was? She answered dozens of questions and always in a timely manner. With my family, I insisted on Kirby's for the care of my precious father. I had been to many services at their location in Mountain Home and was impressed with their professionalism but yet gentle, caring manner. I was not wrong. Jason, Betty and everyone was so very nice. Not only that, but they went way and beyond to help us through the grieving process, our indecisiveness and endless questions. It wasn't as though we lose someone that important to us all the time! So much better than the funeral home that took of my mother! But although they were fine, they were not the BEST. I recommend Kirby and Family to everyone when it is needed and plan this for me as well! I can NOT thank them enough for their truly wonderful care! God bless them...

My father, Lane Strother, passed away in May of 2020 at the beginning of Covid. We were so worried about how to pay proper respect to our father while still respecting the concerns of a public in panic. Jason Kirby and crew worked with us to provide the perfect outdoor funeral with a speaker system, tents for shelter, chairs in small groups for family units and many more accommodations. I've only been there for one funeral and they were great. I was there with the family through the whole process. From picking out the casket, service and even what was put in the obituary. The whole staff was very professional, friendly and courteous. I was there the other day as a service to the funeral that was going on. Again the staff was at there high level of excellence.

The whole staff was very professional, friendly and courteous. I was there the other day as a service to the funeral that was going on. Again the staff was at there high level of excellence.
