Shadow was one of our six cats and only female. She was 19 and was spoiled her entire life. She developed a bladder tumor which was getting worse with complications. This was living so we sent her to kitty heaven.Anyway, our vet recommended Pets at Peace. We agreed. Honestly we didn't know what to expect but were blown away by the heartfelt results. Super nice box with Shadow's cremains. Very nice name plate. A bag of her hair and whiskers. You can still smell her. The paw print is what sent my wife and I over the top.Clearly these folks REALLY CARE about the loss of your pet. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Our rabbit Bella passed away suddenly late November, and we took her to our vet, who sent her to Pets at Peace to be cremated. The wooden urn she was sent back in is absolutely beautiful and we feel like it fits her personality so well. We were also incredibly touched to see that we received her paw print and some of her hair back. It feels very healing to have Bella be respected and honored in such a way. Thank you all so much for what you do. (We did set her things on a Taco Bell bag - she loved messing with the bags when she could get away with it. Our little Taco Bella 🖤)

We may be moving soon and had all of our dogs buried in a cemetery in our yard. We cannot move without them. I spoke to Julie who walked us through the entire process. We had 15 dogs going back many years buried. Julie explained what needed done and we did it. She then compassionately took all remains, processed them, and now all of our babies are together in a beautiful urn/with a medallion. She did a wonderful job and we feel so fortunate that she was there to take care of our babies. It was first class throughout. We can’t recommend Pets at Peace and Julie strong enough. Thank you for everything. Mike and Dotty Hawkins

We chose Pets at Peace for a number of reasons. The fact that it was woman owned originally piqued our interest. We chose her because when she answered the phone, even just for an estimate, she did so with empathy and love in her voice. We chose her because when we arrived she came out with comfort and understanding on her face.We chose her because I could see she felt with us, mourned for us and our sweet angel. We chose her, not because of her BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL work, though that was part of it. We chose her because we KNEW our baby was in the best hands simply based on her tone on the phone. We chose her because I felt her mourn with us in her voice. We chose her because she embraced our angel and held her like she was her own when we dropped her off.Though the week she was away from us was hard, I slept peacefully because our Frozen was in hands that took her in with so so so much love.Choose Pets at Peace, you'll sleep better while your angel is gone.

It has been three months and two days since my sweet little fur baby Allie passed. It is taking me this long to write this review. Hope Animal clinic/Dr Fuller was Allie’s vet . I trusted him fully. when the painful decision had to be made, quite honestly, I did not know what to expect. It took me a month to realize Pets At Peace was a business. I am grateful for the dignity and grace that my sweet little Allie was returned to me. Her ashes were in a beautiful cremation box. It is a beautiful keepsake of my sweet little Allie to help ease the unbearable pain to which I desperately needed and still need to this day. I am so grateful to have her home with me. Thank you.

Julie was amazing with the whole entire process. My 16 year old cat died and I was a mess, so it was very helpful that the process was made extremely easy. The urn is absolutely beautiful, and I have a bag of her fur and whiskers for the rest of my life. I couldn’t be more happy with this experience. Thank you for everything you did.

We first used Pets at Peace about eight years ago when my childhood dog, Blue, passed; since then, I have, unfortunately, been a repeat customer twice more. Julie has always been a delight to work with, insomuch as one can be under the circumstances; it's so clear that she runs her business not for money but because she understands being a pet parent and the overwhelming grief that occurs when we lose a family member. For as long as I have pets, and as long as they're in business, there is no one else I would trust to take care of my babies with as much love as they do.

Julie and pets at peace employees are just the best! I came across her business with a google map search and called her when my hedgehog passed. She was quick to respond, kind, and professional. She does a beautiful job and really cares. The little nose and paw print, box, and name plate was perfect! Worth every penny and more! I will never take my pets anywhere but to Julie! Thank you so much girl!!

Pets at Peace. They were very helpful after our 18 yr old Miss Kitty passed away earlier this year. They had her ready in 2 or 3 days in a beautiful box. She also took snippets of all her hair colors & put them in a sache along with a mold of her paw print. I will use their services again if I have another pet pass away. Thank you again for making this transition easier.

I highly recommend Pets At Peace in Pelham, AL! Julie is an amazing animal lover and treats her customers with incredible care and empathy. I'm writing this a couple years after using her services and our cremation wooden urn still looks amazing on our mantel. It's endearing to have the final paw print she made for us as well. Thanks, Julie, for putting your heart into your business.

Julie and her team are amazing!! They have helped me and my husband through a very difficult time of loosing our sweet baby of 16 years. I felt like I had lost a child I had him so long. She just took care of everything with such compassion and grace. I was alot of questions and no matter when I texted her she was quick to answer and wasn’t bothered at all. I hope I don’t lose any more fur babies any time soon but if I do I will be getting in touch with Julie and her staff to help me take care of them. I recommend this business to everyone in need of this service. Thanks Julie and team for all that you do!!

Our beloved pet of 13 years came back to us in a beautiful decorative wood urn, her paw print, name plate, and a lock of her hair. Having her back home with us has brought us so much peace. Thank you Pets at Peace for treating our family member with respect and dignity. What you do is a gift to the World. We cant thank you enough .

Julie was so compassionate, caring and wonderful to me and my entire family when we lost our beloved Mischa. She treated my sweet baby with dignity and respect. I cannot think of any other pet cremation company that is more worthy of your business. Losing Mischa was so hard for me to cope with. Pets at Peace took care of every single step in the process for me. I now have Mischa's ashes in a beautiful wooden keepsake box, a lock of her hair, a footprint in a clay heart ornament that I will have forever. Julie was magnificent. LOOK NO FURTHER for family pet cremation needs than Pets at Peace.

Julie really made this process easy. When i lost my cat Copper i was devastated because it happened so suddenly. I had thought about pet cremation before but was hesitant. When i went to pick up Copper i was really impressed with the job she did. He was in a beautiful wooden urn with his name & a lock of his fur & his paw print. As upset as i am to have lost him this was a really beautiful way to remember him forever. Thank you so much to Julie & her staff.

We have been using this place since 2014. My husband & I own & raise pet rats (& hamsters), and this is the ONLY place we take our beloved rodents when they pass. (In fact, they are the same facility that our veterinarian uses.) A small family owned operation, their prices are very reasonable, and owner Julie ALWAYS does her best to accommodate our wishes (not many places deal with rodents, I'm sure!) Rodents' lifespans are only about 2 years; Pets at Peace have cremated 10 rodents (7 rats, 3 hamsters) for us since 2014, so we see them on a regular basis, and each and every time they treat our animals with the utmost care and respect. They are not open every day (that's why I'm taking 1 star away), so sometimes you can't take your pet to them the same day they pass away, which can be a little inconvenient, but if you just call them they will schedule a time for you to drop off your pet, usually within the next day or two.And when it's time to pick up the cremains, the urn comes in a lovely little blue tote bag, along with a small Ziploc bag of some of your pet's fur, and an imprint on clay of your pet's paw, as well as a small magnet with the Rainbow Bridge poem.Overall, such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I will definitely continue taking all of my pets there in the future. They help make the passing of a beloved pet just a little bit easier.

Julie is a very kind lady. I called her on a whim when I came home to find my baby of 10 years had passed away from a brain tumor. I was hysterical. She showed me compassion and helped me thru one of the worst days of my life to quickly handle things that I couldn't handle. She deserves your business if this inevitable and unfortunate time comes into your life with your baby. Couldn't speak more highly of Pets at Peace.

Julie is so nice and handled my babies with care. The pricing is very fair and well worth it, as this place goes above and beyond in commemorating our pets. Everything turned out beautifully and I can’t thank them enough for their services.

I recently had to make the decision to end the pain and suffering of my best friend, an Australian shepherd named “Rebekka”. I knew I wanted her cremated, but I was uneducated about the process. My local vet took care of the arrangements of having Rebekka picked up, and they told me they would call me when she was ready.Today, when I walked into the vet to pick up Rebekka’s remains, I was speechless. I thought I would be picking up a cardboard box with her ashes in it and was prepared to immediately search for an urn. What I was presented with was more than I ever thought of. A beautiful wooden box with Rebekka’s name on it, and her ashes in a bag on the inside with her name and hearts on the bag. I was also in tears as I held the plaster piece that had a paw print on it. The same paw that I held when she took her last breath. There was also a small baggie that has her hair clippings in it.Pets At Peace, I have cried so many times at the loss of Rebekka. She was my very first pet. She found me 8 years ago when I was at the lowest point in my life and all alone, new to this area. I thought all I would have was memories, pictures, and some sort of container with her remains. You all are the reason that for the first time since her passing, I cried tears of joy instead of tears of sorrow. You gave me a gift that I will treasure forever. Thank you so much for the thoughtful and respectful way that you handled a huge piece of my heart.
